In a private house, especially a wooden one, much more possibilities for ceiling design than in an apartment. Firstly, because the height of the ceilings allows you to create any design, and secondly, there are very interesting roof configurations.
And if there is no attic or attic, the interior space of the rooms is directly conducive to rampant fantasy. We will consider how you can finish the ceiling in wooden house, and how to prepare it for this process.
We will present a small instruction on how to finish a wooden ceiling, and, if possible, with your own hands.

Whatever options for finishing the ceiling in a wooden house are chosen, the process of their production begins with the antiseptic treatment of structures. It will also be necessary to prime the decorative wooden surface, if one is chosen by you to create the interior.

If the base surface of your ceiling are roof elements that have already been machined along the way roofing works, it will be possible to immediately proceed to the next stage - the thermal insulation device.

Ceiling insulation

So: finishing the ceilings in a wooden house is inextricably linked with the need for their insulation. The performance of the insulating layer depends on the design of the roof.
In the case when the attic is not provided, it will be necessary to insulate the planes of the roof slopes:

  • This must be done, despite the fact that these actions have already been performed outside, in the process of roofing. Thus, double insulation will be obtained, which will create good protection at home from both cold and heat.

  • A couple of decades ago, there was no particular choice of insulating materials: mineral wool, glass wool, and foam plastic. Today there is already such a choice that the quality of the selected material can determine the technology of work.
  • The sequence of each stage of insulation in the classic version looks like this: hydro-heat-vapor-insulation. Now there are options for thermal insulation materials, which are a ready-made “pie”, which is simply mounted in the cells of a wooden crate.

  • Insulation can be both in roll execution and in the form of plates. Naturally, the price of foil options is higher than conventional ones. But if you take into account the cost of the film or foil; glue for their fixation; time spent on their installation - it will become clear why.
  • There is one more modern look insulation - penoizol. It can be: sheet, granular and foamy.
Foam is very convenient to use where there are complex roof configurations, difficult access to certain areas. If you are wondering how to work with it, you better watch the video.
  • In general, it is necessary to select a heat-insulating material based on the specific operating conditions of the building and its design features. Let's say you need to insulate the roof slopes, where the step between the rafters is small.
The width of the insulation, in this case, should be a couple of centimeters wider than this distance.
  • Then it will be easy to lay it in the space between the rafters. Due to the difference in width, the insulation will not fall out during the installation process.
well and further actions will depend on the chosen method of finishing.
  • If the roof rafters are mounted at a large pitch, in order to be able to lay the insulation, it will be necessary to make a wooden crate from the beams. Before that, a rolled membrane is glued to the base surface, and after the crate is ready, insulation is placed in its cells.
  • If the foil option is chosen, then it is laid with the foil up. When used, for example, mineral wool, it will need to be glued vapor barrier film, and then nail the slats across the battens of the crate, as in the photo below.

  • The same will need to be done if the house has attic room. As a rule, it is used as a residential area.
And only if only a non-residential attic is provided for in the roof structure, double insulation of the slopes will not be needed.
  • Then it will be enough to insulate the attic floor. This can be done both from the side of the attic, and inside the living quarters.
From which side it is better to make insulation, it also depends on what kind of ceiling decoration will be performed in the house.
  • If the insulation is to be carried out from inside the room, its process will be the same as described above. But when this work is done in the attic, you can apply bulk insulation: expanded clay, polystyrene chips or the same penoizol.
  • In this case, the base floor is overlapped with roofing material, mounted wooden logs, and between them fall asleep insulation and stuff the boardwalk. This is what they do if it's just an attic.

When it comes to finishing the attic, the insulation is poured from above with liquid cement mortar, drowning a metal mesh in it. When the solution hardens, a self-leveling floor is made, on top of which it will be possible to put any decorative coating.

Let's start finishing the ceiling

And now, the insulation is over - it's time to start decorating the ceilings. In this part of the article, we will consider what types of ceiling finishes in a wooden house will look most harmonious, and what materials may be needed to complete them.

wood paneling

If a person already wanted to build a wooden house, it is quite possible that he would like the tree to be in interior decoration. In any case, this is the most natural.
Moreover, the ceiling decoration in a private house can be more diverse than in ordinary apartment. This is because the ceiling design may be involved bearing structures: rafters and beams.
So:

  • Most often, the filing of the ceiling is carried out using a lining board. This is just the case when the ceiling insulation can be made from the inside of the room.
After all, for the installation of the board, it is necessary to make a crate. So it's up to you.
  • There are several types of boards, differing in size and cross-sections. We will not dwell on the nuances of mounting the lining, you can read articles on this topic.
And we'll talk about the design of the ceiling surface.

  • The surface of the ceiling, sheathed with clapboard in one direction, will be rather monotonous, especially if the room is large. And here load-bearing ceiling beams come to the rescue.
They divide the ceiling into zones, they can be finished in the same way as the lining, or you can make a contrast. In any case, such a ceiling will look decent.

  • How to finish the ceiling in a wooden house, if there is a usual ceiling in the room, and beams cannot participate in the design? Yes, the same board-lining!
Finishing is done only to give it a noble look. wooden ceilings not just by staining, but by applying hand-painted on their surface.

  • It looks unusually beautiful, especially if the tree is artificially aged. Drawing on a tree, correctly selected lamps and accessories will help to decorate the interior of the room in the Gothic style.
  • When choosing classical style in the design of the room, lining will be inappropriate. In this case, for finishing use wooden panels which are great for both ceilings and walls.
Panels can be made from solid wood.

  • When it comes to the design of the ceiling in the living room, you can add a colored or matte stained glass with internal lighting to the ceiling panels. And there is no difference: natural glass in it, or acrylic; with hand-painted or film pasted on the back of the glass - the ceiling will look expensive and rich.

  • Cheaper panels are made from MDF, which is veneered with bamboo or valuable breeds tree. If such a design is also involved wooden beams, they can be unevenly hewn and covered with carvings.
This design will give the interior a touch of antiquity and will look very original.

  • AT budget option production ceiling panels, plywood is taken as the basis, which is covered with a film that imitates the texture of wood. But how to finish the ceiling in country house?
Yes, all the same plywood, but with additional decoration.

  • Finishing the ceiling with plywood in a wooden house can be accompanied by such decor as in our example above. This ceiling has two levels.
The first level is plywood sheets stuffed on a wooden crate. The second level is a lattice made of well-planed and contrastingly colored bars fixed on plywood.

  • You can also decorate a wooden beamed ceiling with the help of inserts. It doesn't have to be stained glass.
An insert can be a type-setting rack panel, decorated with fabric, color film or wallpaper. Look at the picture above - it looks very interesting, this technique can be adopted.

  • Where it is not possible to use structural beams in the design of the room, suspended beams are used. wooden structures. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to do it on their own, but if you turn to specialists, they will develop a design, complete the design itself and correctly install it.

  • Design options for finishing ceilings in mansions are developed individually and can be quite complex. suspended structure. In our next example, the ceiling in a house without an attic, having six levels, with each of them illuminated.
Here and frosted glass, and plastic panels, and wooden elements. Only a non-attic space can provide an opportunity to create such a chic design.

Other types of ceiling finishes

In this part of the article, we will answer the question: “How to finish the ceiling in a private house without using wood?”. Suppose the house is large, there are many rooms, and it is not at all necessary that all ceilings be the same.
It is quite natural that the inhabitants of the house want variety:

  • In this case, instead of lining, we take drywall sheets for filing the ceiling. What is convenient, in a wooden house GKL is easier to mount not on a metal profile, but on the same wooden crate.
An article on installation technology and sealing joints between drywall sheets is on our website.

  • You can do any finish on such a surface: paint, glue wallpaper, ceiling tiles, mount false beams, spot lighting. An excellent option would be to use gypsum or polyurethane stucco moldings in the decor.

  • Very convenient for false beam ceiling design. They can be small or massive.
Their surface is covered with a laminating film with a wooden texture. And it gives the impression that there are wooden beams on the ceiling.
Of course, you can’t cover them with carvings, but you can lay electrical wires, an Internet cable, and even hide a gas pipe in the interior.
  • Well, if you want to finish the ceiling with decorative plaster? Then the thermal insulation of the ceiling must be done indoors.
The heat-insulating material serves as the basis for sticking a fiberglass reinforcing mesh, along which the plastering process will be carried out.
  • You can also use normal gypsum plaster, the surface of which can be finished in any way that is used in apartments. In a wooden house, you can even make a stretch ceiling.

It is worth noting that the ceiling decoration in a log house is not done immediately after construction, but after a couple of years - when the house shrinks. Otherwise, the ceiling structure may suffer.
And this is a shame, especially if expensive materials were used for its decoration. At first, you can simply enjoy the unique woody aroma, and only after the necessary time has passed, give free rein to your imagination and do interior decoration.

More and more buyers are striving to acquire a wooden house, as it is environmentally friendly, beautiful and natural. The alloy of these characteristics gives excellent well-being to residents, healthy sleep and unique cozy atmosphere. The use of new production technologies made it possible to significantly facilitate and speed up construction. However, it is not always possible to entrust the construction of a home to professionals. Then you have to be left alone with the pressing question: how do we make a ceiling in a wooden house?

Types of ceilings in a wooden house

The main headache in the selection of material for the future ceiling will be the problem of choosing the source material. Now there are a great many of them: wallpapers, metals, glass, mirrors, modules, wood. In a word, you can pick up whatever you want, as long as you have enough money. On the other hand, some ceiling options in a wooden house are more popular than others. Question: why and how to cover the ceiling in a wooden house is better?

PVC modules and their workflow features

If you need to save money, then PVC panel will help to do it. Modules are widely represented on the market by manufacturers, in addition, they do not require additional painting. They are released different sizes which makes them perfect for any room.

Moreover, PVC strips are:

  • Matte surface
  • glossy finish

This feature help create a personal interesting project premises. In addition, ceiling modules are much lighter than wall counterparts. In addition, they are easy to mount, which will allow even an inexperienced master to install the panels.

Of course, like any material, PVC planks have some special points when working with them:

  • The modules are quite fragile, so you should not press or squeeze them hard, as there is a high probability of leaving an unsightly dent.
  • The diverse color of the modules easily allows you to disguise them as a wooden ceiling in a private house (read: "").
  • Good resistance to moisture makes the use of modules ideal in the bathroom or in the kitchen. In addition, they fit well into the interior of a balcony or terrace.
  • There are more and more interesting colors of panels, which allows you to expand their scope to bedrooms and living rooms.
  • When installing this design, it should be remembered that the draft ceiling in a wooden house must be treated with anti-combustible solutions, and the wires should be placed in non-combustible tubes. In addition, it will need to be thoroughly insulated.

Tension structures

Based on what general model is used in home decoration, you should make a choice in favor of a standard or unusual ceiling. One of the last is the tension structure.

In addition, such a ceiling may consist of adjustable suspensions with a T-shaped mounting system, corners, metal modules. Such a ceiling is called cassette.

Raster ceilings are aluminum structures suspended in the form of a grid. Such models are very popular, as they can be sheathed with mirrors, unusual modules, differing in texture and forms (read also: ""). In addition, maintaining a raster design is an easy task, and installation does not provide for special tricks.

The use of natural materials in the construction of the ceiling

The above options for ceilings in a wooden house were mainly synthetic materials, but there are those that are most suitable for the parameters of environmentally friendly products. For example, a tree that can be used both in damp dwellings and rooms, and in those where dryness prevails.

wooden lath

Looking at a photo of a standard forest in the middle lane, you can see the prototype trees of the future ceiling. These are elm, aspen, poplar, and many others. All of them are excellent for sawing into slats, which are then used in the ceiling lining. Moreover, each rail will have its own unpredictable pattern, which will allow you to create a most curious ceiling.

By purchasing similar material, it should be remembered that a little sanding of the wood will be required. In addition, for a better appearance, it is necessary to cover the rail with varnishes.

To mount rack ceiling would need:

  • First make a drawing-drawing, which can be checked in order not to install the strips and modules in the wrong order. In addition, you can place the structure on the floor, take a photo, and then refer to it.
  • Next, the rail is tinted to the place of its attachment.
  • Nails without a hat should be used as fasteners, as this will create the illusion of airiness of the ceiling and hide the adhesion points.

Lining: advantages and disadvantages

Clapboard is often used in wooden houses, as it is in perfect harmony with the environment, both in color and texture. It is a board with a tongue and groove.

Distinguish between standard and euro lining. Them distinctive features are not numerous and consist in different quality of finishing, as well as in the depth of the grooves.

So, the positive qualities of euro lining:

  • Made from environmentally friendly, truly natural material.
  • The thermal insulation of the ceiling in a wooden house with such a lining will be on good level. The same is true for soundproofing.
  • The design of the lining has air ducts on the back side, allowing you to quickly evaporate condensate.

The standard lining has the same characteristics, but they are not as pronounced as those of the Euro-competitor.

False ceiling and its features

If the ceiling needs to be hidden under a thick layer of something, due to its curvature and unevenness, then drywall or polystyrene can perfectly cope with this task.

These structures are quickly mounted, give the ceiling a solid and curious look. In addition, the choice of materials will not be a big problem: every hardware store offers a large number of possible options.

A similar design is attached to the crate, which is mounted from metal profiles. It is not worth screwing drywall sheets to the ceiling without a frame, as this will reduce the reliability of the structure.

Positive traits drywall:

  • You can build a multi-level ceiling that will look spectacular if the idea is properly implemented.
  • Proper fixing of sheets is the key to the absence of dents, cracks and other problems of this type.
  • The coating, when worn, is easy to replace, since you do not have to remove the frame.
  • It is possible to create a structure in which the beams will be somewhat darker than the sheets. In addition, these guides should be left protruding. Together, this will favorably emphasize the uniqueness wooden house and also the ceiling will reflect more light.
  • Them positive characteristics are:

    • Resistant to sunlight.
    • No deformation due to service life.
    • Low price.
    • Peel off only when using an unsuitable fixing solution.
    • The ceiling pie in a wooden house can be supplemented with a fiberboard layer. It is much easier to stick tiles on it than on a rough base.
    • The polystyrene ceiling will additionally increase the sound and heat insulation capabilities of the home. In addition, it can be wiped, and not even the sharpest household scissors can cut tiles. For completeness, you can mount a ceiling plinth, which will hide the junction of the material with the walls (read also: "").

Often finishing the ceiling in a private house on your own, some questions arise related to the best arrangement and floor insulation. Usually, the ceiling device resembles a pie, where insulation is placed between the finishes. Let's look at the types of ceilings and options for how you can finish the ceiling with your own hands in a house from a bar. In addition, I will tell you what materials to use for the rough finish of the floor, what is laminate, lining, and why it is necessary to use drywall and plywood in your home.

Do-it-yourself ceiling decoration in the kitchen

The need for quality design

Stretch ceiling in a wooden house

Many questions about repair and do-it-yourself overlapping are related to the possibility of keeping the heat in the house. Therefore, the ceiling in a wooden house must be decorated correctly, otherwise cold air from the attic will enter the living quarters and thereby worsen the microclimate in the rooms. The draft version of the design should be done as correctly as the decorative finish, with which the ceilings in a private house become one in common with the design of the rooms.

It is the draft ceiling that will indicate the further design of the ceiling. Therefore, it is impossible to neglect such an action as the installation of a rough ceiling with your own hands. If you decide to build a house from a bar, then remember the technology by which the draft ceiling should be made:

  1. The device of a heat-insulating layer is a mandatory action, since a third of all heat leaves through the ceiling. In order to qualitatively insulate the ceiling, materials should be laid between the timber beams. You can choose the material of insulation in rolls and plates. It is best to use mineral fiber materials
  2. After the heat-insulating layer is ready with your own hands, the cranial bars are fixed. They are the basis of the draft ceiling
  3. The covering board should be cut to the distance between the beams, while the boards should be made a couple of millimeters less than this distance, after which they should be laid evenly on the surface
  4. An important action is the treatment with antiseptics that will protect the ceilings in log house from mold, fungus, beetles and other adverse factors

Important! The arrangement of the ceiling in a wooden house depends on how the attic will be used in the future, whether it will be a residential or a cold room.

Also, if you decide to build a private house with your own hands, then give Special attention project, since the height of the ceiling in a private house must be chosen taking into account the size of the entire room.

The use of stretch ceilings

Stretch ceiling

For overlapping, you can choose different types of ceilings. One of the most popular are stretch ceilings in a wooden house. However, before you finish the surface with your own hands, you must immediately think about your capabilities. These materials are very finicky in installation, so sometimes it is better to entrust the work to professionals.

Using a stretch ceiling in a wooden house, there are some advantages, since the base of the timber allows you to use it as the basis for stretching the canvases. To sew up the surface, you need to make certain cells in which the materials are stretched. For self-fulfillment use this sequence:

  • For mounting cells, materials with dimensions of 100x50 mm and 200x100mm are suitable. The thickness and width of the beam should be selected based on the overall dimensions of the room in which the stretch webs will be used.
  • The next step is to identify the lower point at which the base of the lathing from the timber will be made. Having selected this point, draw from it using the mark level to all corners
  • First, the timber board is mounted along the length of the ceiling, and then insert shorter strips of timber to make squares
  • Since tension materials have a wide color palette, you can install several color solutions, which will highlight the ceiling in a wooden house in certain areas
  • The ceiling in a private house in the kitchen must have moisture resistance properties. It is stretch ceilings that are most in demand in the kitchen and bathroom.
  • The lighting layout should take place before the installation of the canvases, so it is better to immediately decide where the lamps will be located.

Plasterboard and plywood ceilings

Finishing the ceiling with plasterboard

The choice of drywall and plywood for the ceiling is one of the most popular design options, for further decorative finishes. In order to do the work with your own hands, you must first assess the condition of the ceiling. This is especially true for old wooden houses.

Important! Drywall sheets can be installed in several ways. Before you make a ceiling in a wooden house, you should know that the use of glue to install tiles is unacceptable.

Finishing with drywall slabs consists in installing the material on a crate made of wood, metal profiles or on the very base of the ceiling. All types have their advantages and disadvantages, but the best is mounting on a frame made of metal profiles. The advantages of fixing drywall in this way:

  • Long service life, as the material is not subject to deformation and the influence of negative factors
  • Between the crate of the profile, you can fix the heat-insulating layer
  • The easy do-it-yourself installation process means you can save on costs and sheathe the surface with minimal effort.
  • Using the profile, you can make multi-level ceilings

The disadvantages of using drywall include only the price of the material and the need to use improvised tools. However, if you are used to doing repairs yourself, then you will not have problems with the availability of tools for installing drywall.

You can also finish the ceiling with plywood. If we take into account the possibility of acquiring laminated elements, then clearly subsequent finishing is not required. But if you sheathe the ceiling with low-grade plywood, then the following work should be carried out:

  1. In order to paint the plywood base, it should be treated with special compounds. For painting, you can use water-based paint
  2. Coloring can be done with a brush or roller. For structural paints, special rollers are required
  3. If you decide to paint the plywood in two layers, then wait for the first to dry completely and only then apply the second
  4. The ceiling finished with plywood dries in an average of 24 hours

Kitchen in a private house

Ceiling in a wooden house in the kitchen

Overlapping the ceiling in the kitchen of a private wooden house is also a very important process, so if you decide to carry out repairs and Finishing work with your own hands, then consider the following factors:

  1. Ceiling elements must be moisture resistant, as there is excess moisture in the kitchen
  2. It will be good if all surfaces in the kitchen are washable

Stretch ceilings and plastic panels will look good in the kitchen. The latter do not need constant care. Stretch ceilings in the kitchen have a long service life. However, they have a high cost, so not everyone can use this option not only in the kitchen, but also in other rooms.

Important! To sheathe the ceiling in the kitchen, only high-grade elements should be used, since the use of cheap materials will entail quick and unplanned repairs.

Laminate and lining are also considered good options for hemming the ceiling space.

Laminate itself is an interesting material, inner side which is impregnated with water-repellent mixtures, and the outer has a finished decorative coating. The laminate has special ends that allow you to easily connect the panels to each other. Let's look at the main advantages that laminate flooring has:

  • Large selection of decorative solutions
  • Good wear resistance
  • Environmental friendliness
  • Easy to care for
  • fireproof
  • Acceptable price

You can hem the ceiling with a laminate with two simple ways. One is that the laminate is mounted on a frame prepared in advance, and the other is that the laminate is directly glued to the surface. Choosing the second option, you will have to prepare the base with high quality. To do this, it is necessary to putty all the irregularities, and then cover the ceiling with a primer. After that, the laminate is glued with a two-component adhesive.

For a wooden house, it is customary to choose natural interior elements. Lining is a good way to hem the ceiling in the house. In addition to the beautiful design, lining allows surfaces to breathe. According to the classification, lining can be:

  1. Premium or Extra class - this means that the lining does not have any defects and will help to hem the ceiling with high quality
  2. A class - there are knots, but no cracks or potholes
  3. In class - lining has defects that are removed by the manufacturer
  4. C class - lining has both cracks and potholes. The cheapest of all

Repair in a wooden house is no different from repair in concrete houses. However, for him it will be necessary to carry out work on the application of various impregnations that protect surfaces from adverse effects. Repair will occur much less frequently if you choose only high-quality materials in the process. Even before you close the ceiling decorative panels, wallpaper or paint, use materials for thermal insulation of floors.

Construction of wooden houses suburban areas is gaining more and more popularity. Natural beauty of wood, aesthetically appealing appearance, ease of installation of the structure - these are just a few of the advantages for which wooden houses are so valued. However, in addition to the construction of housing, it will require its finishing, consisting of several stages, one of which is the design of the ceiling surface.

Ceilings in wooden houses can be made from various materials, but we must not forget that each of them must harmoniously fit into the overall style of the room and continue it.

Ceiling decoration in a wooden house: design methods

Ceilings in wooden houses are lightweight structures based on beam floors. Due to the minimum load they exert on the overall structure, such ceiling surfaces are distinguished by a long service life and reliability. As materials used for cladding ceilings, can be used various options. But first you need to deal with the main features associated with the construction of such houses.

First of all, the natural shrinkage of the log house, which in the future can lead to deformation of the ceiling surface. It is from this factor that one should build on when deciding how to sheathe the ceiling in a wooden house inside. It is better if for such work will be used natural materials, providing suitable air humidity and the required level of ventilation. For example, the same tree. But you can use other ceiling coverings, depending on financial capabilities and installation method.

You can sew up the ceiling in a wooden house:

  • Clapboard.
  • Plywood.
  • PVC panels.

And yet, how to decide how to finish the ceilings in a wooden house? From what design style is expected in the room, you should start when choosing materials for finishing the ceiling surface.

Do-it-yourself ceiling in a wooden house: preparing the surface for work

After the issue of how to finish the ceiling surface is resolved, it is necessary to prepare it for the main process. Regardless of the option chosen, the installation of the material should begin only after the high-quality treatment of the main ceiling with antiseptics. Primer is required and wooden elements, if they are chosen as the basis for the design.

In the case when the base surface is the elements of the roof structure, treated with preparations at the construction stage, you can immediately begin work on the installation of heat-insulating materials. This may be a material produced in the form of plates or rolls, laid between the beams and covered with sheathing. Thermal insulation is necessary to prevent heat from escaping from the room and to protect the room from extraneous sounds if there is an upper floor.

As a heat-insulating material to insulate the ceilings in a wooden house, you can use:

  • Mineral wool.
  • Styrofoam.
  • Felt or jute.
  • Fiberboard.
  • Reed slabs, etc.

If you decide to finish the ceiling in a wooden house yourself, you need to prepare the necessary tools in advance: tape measure, level, electric drill and a screwdriver, a hacksaw, construction knife, finishing materials.

Important! Installation of the ceiling can only be started after the natural shrinkage of the main residential structure.

Gap between installed ceiling and wooden walls in this case, it must be at least 5 mm, since air humidity, temperature fluctuations affect the change in the dimensions of the base material, which can lead to deformation of the ceiling covering. You can hide the gaps with the help of ceiling plinths or biscuits, depending on the option chosen.

How to make a ceiling in a wooden house: installation of various types of coatings

1. Wooden lining

The photos shown are taken from real objects.
  • Good heat and sound insulation.
  • Concealment visible defects formed during the construction phase.
  • Preliminary grinding and leveling of the ceiling surface is not required.
  • Long service life of the material, if high-quality processing of lining with protective compounds is carried out at the installation stage.

The ceiling from the lining will visually change the size of the room with the right way of laying the material. If the installation is carried out parallel to a narrow wall, this will expand the room. Laying the lining diagonally will enliven the interior.

Installation of lining is carried out on the crate.

Important point! For living rooms, the option "lining - wooden crate" is suitable. Where high humidity it is better to use slats made of metal or plastic in combination with lining.

The step between the laths of the crate should be at least 50 cm, the location of the bars should be strictly horizontal according to the type of formation of a single plane. Prior to the installation of the lining, it is necessary to provide for the placement of electrical wiring for lighting fixtures.

Perpendicular to the rails, the ceiling is sewn up with clapboard. The first bar, on which the spike is pre-cut, is fixed with a slight indent from the wall (the required gap is 5 mm), after which it is screwed to the crate with self-tapping screws from the front of the material. Hats can be closed with a plinth.

Next, a comb is inserted into the groove of the first board. The elements are fixed to each other with light blows of a hammer through a piece wooden board so as not to damage the material. The protrusions of the groove to the crate are attached to metal clips and studs. According to this type, the entire wooden ceiling is mounted from the lining.

For decoration, eurolining can be used, which differs from a simple lining in an improved lock design and high physical properties.

A plywood ceiling is not often used as a material when needed in a private wooden house.

And in vain. By trimming the ceilings with plywood, you can achieve original design and flat surface.

Plywood is distinguished by the following parameters:

  • Moisture resistance. Makes the sheets durable coating with a layer of laminate.
  • grades. In total there are five grades of plywood, each of which can be used for facing the ceiling surface.
  • Processing methods: raw, sanded on one or both sides.
  • Appearance - decoration with plastic, patterns or "natural wood".

To the rough ceiling to be trimmed, you need to mount a crate of wooden slats or an aluminum profile. You can hem plywood to the crate with nails or self-tapping screws. We will hide the joints under the putty or sew with a wooden lath.

They can also finish the ceiling with wooden beams. Such suspended ceilings help out if the rough surface is severely deformed or there are noticeable flaws on it. As a result, at the end of the work, you will get a good and even one.

There are two methods of mounting a plasterboard ceiling according to the mounting methods:

On a wooden frame. This option is ideal for creating a regular single-level ceiling. At the same time, the wood for the frame must be of very high quality.

You need to act as follows:

  • Determine the lowest corner of the room and, stepping back from it down 5 cm, draw a horizontal line around the perimeter of the room.
  • Then attach around wooden bars and slats along the entire length of the room. The distance between them should be 80 cm.
  • After that, fix the bearing strips across them at a distance of 50 cm. Drywall will be attached to them in the future.
  • On a metal frame.

This method is reliable and involves the following sequence of actions:

  • The marking of the ceiling is carried out according to the type of the first method.
  • Metal guides are attached horizontally to self-tapping screws or dowels.
  • Next, the profile is fastened at a distance of 40 cm from each other perpendicular to the guides.
  • The design is fixed on self-tapping screws.
  • To increase the rigidity of the crate, suspensions are used.

They are non-standard variations of the ceiling surface finish in log cabin houses. Budget, but, nevertheless, beautiful ceilings, ideal for a wooden house. The finished polyvinyl chloride material does not require subsequent painting and processing. The main thing is to choose the right color.

Initially, a frame is installed from metal profile or wooden slats in increments of 40-50 cm, which are screwed to the beam surface. Next, a starting profile is mounted around the entire perimeter of the room, where PVC plates are then inserted. Each PVC ceiling board is fixed with self-tapping screws to the sidewalls of the frame rail. Finishing consists in designing the structure with ceiling plinths.
