Bath on suburban area must be mandatory. "The bath is the second mother: it will steam the bones, it will fix the whole thing." Or "You can not finish building the house, but you need to build a bathhouse." Traditions to bathe in the bath for hundreds, and maybe thousands of years. It was not for nothing that Nestor mentioned in The Tale of Bygone Years the stunning impression that the bath made on St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called. Yes, in Russian folk tales the bathhouse is not deprived of attention, to recall at least the famous dialogues of Ivan (the prince, the fool, just Ivanushka) with Baba Yaga, that you first need to heat the bathhouse, and only then discuss things.

But in order to heat, the bath must first be built. And any construction begins with a project. Regulatory acts define a bathhouse as an auxiliary outbuilding, the construction of which does not require a permit. Accordingly, it is not required to develop a project that must be coordinated and approved.

However, it is not worth starting the construction of a bath without a project, this can lead to very unpleasant consequences. The project will also help determine the amount of materials needed for construction and draw up an estimate that will make it possible to estimate the planned costs.

The bath project can be ordered from specialists, prepared by yourself with the help of special programs(as a very simple option - draw by hand) or find a suitable finished project on the Internet. Let's talk about preparing a bath project with your own hands, without the help of specialists.

We design a bath

Based on the available options for installing a bath on the site, you should start developing a project by drawing up terms of reference, which determines the desired area of all the premises of the bath (floor plan or floor plan).

dressing room

The room where the owner of the bath gets in the first place. In small baths, the dressing room performs several different functions, and this should be taken into account in the project: a vestibule (transitional zone) between the street and the bathhouse with a change in temperature from outside to the temperature in the bath, a place for changing clothes and storing clothes and shoes, a rest room. The dressing room can be used to store a supply of firewood for the stove.

In the dressing room, you can plan the installation of benches for changing and relaxing, or limit yourself to seating only if there are space restrictions. For the same reason, it is possible to combine a dressing room with a rest room. For a comfortable stay in the bath and its frequent use, the area of the dressing room should be twice more area steam room. The location of the window / windows in the dressing room is provided at a height of 1000 mm from the floor level. The windows are double glazed. For a dressing room, they usually choose standard door 1800x800 mm with outward opening.

Important ! If the entrance to the bath from the street is carried out directly into the dressing room, then for comfortable use of the bath in the autumn-winter time, the door must be insulated from the outside. If it is possible to place the entrance to the bath from the south side, the snowdrifts will be smaller in winter, and they will melt faster in spring.

steam room

The minimum area per person in a steam room cannot be less than 1 m². In addition to this parameter, it is necessary to take into account the size of the furnace in the steam room. The largest in size are brick wood stoves, but with such stoves it is not required to arrange the insulation of walls and people steaming in the steam room.

The metal furnace must be installed at a distance of at least 1 meter from the wall, and fenced from people with a thin brick wall to avoid burns. good option is to place the stove in the rest room so that the stove heats both the steam room and the rest room. At the same time, the firebox is located in the rest room, and the heater is in the steam room. Possible sizes the shelf in the steam room is shown in the figure. Choose an option using a picture of how you and your guests will bathe: sitting or lying down.

For a small bathhouse, in which a maximum of 3 people will be steaming while sitting, an area of 1300x1800 m is sufficient, but to this area it is necessary to add the area occupied by the stove, as well as passages to the shelves. Important! Windows in the steam room do not need to be provided if a ventilation duct is planned. Otherwise, for mandatory ventilation of the steam room (and the entire bath), a small double-glazed window must be provided. The window is designed on the wall opposite the stove with dimensions from 300x300 mm. It is better if the window in the steam room faces west - this way you will get more natural light. The door to the steam room is designed low, with a high threshold to prevent loss of hot air. The size of the door is usually chosen 1500x800 mm with the door opening outwards. A warning. Combining a steam room with a washing department (shower room) is not desirable - the temperature in the steam room will be lower and the steam will be humid. For lovers of steam, this option is not suitable.

Shower room (washing department)

It all depends on your capabilities: water containers, shower room, font, pool. Be aware of the existence of a minimum size of the washing room. Washroom for 3 persons without pool and shower (hot and cold water) cannot be less than 1800x1800 mm. The window in the washing room is designed at a height of 1500 mm from the floor level, so as not to create drafts. The size of the window is small, but larger than in the steam room. Double glazing. The usual door size is 1800x800 mm, a door with a high threshold. If it is planned to arrange showers in the washing room, then a minimum area of 900x900 mm should be allocated for each shower. Accordingly, the placement of a font or a pool in a washing room increases its area. If there are restrictions on the area, the pool or font can be located outside. If there is a natural reservoir nearby, the bath should be located at least 15 meters from it.

bathroom

The minimum dimensions of a bathroom when installing one toilet bowl are 1200 (depth) x 800 (width) mm.

Lounge and other premises (kitchen, billiard room, etc.). It is designed based on the available capabilities and existing space restrictions.

The composition of the premises is determined solely by the available opportunities and wishes of the owner of the bath.

Important ! The bath should be located from the house and other buildings on the site at a distance of at least 10 meters. Except fire safety, the smoke from the bath pipe will not be blown into the house. In addition, the bath should be located at a distance of 3 meters from the fence to provide access to the structure around the entire perimeter in case of fire.

We design the foundation

We select the type of foundation for the bath based on the material that will be used in construction and the selected number of storeys of the bath. When designing the foundation, we take into account the possible maximum load on it and the characteristics of local soils. Usually, during the construction of a bath, the following are chosen depending on the soil on the site and the number of storeys of the building:

screw foundation

It is a universal type of foundation for all soils. There is no need to carry out earthworks on the site. The screw foundation can be installed at any time of the year. Installation will take one day, immediately after completion, you can start building the structure.

Strip foundation

This type of foundation is quite labor-intensive and it is advisable to use it for difficult soils and the construction of a 2-story bath.

It is the most economical and most simple type foundation. The columns can be made from asbestos-cement pipes, which are then reinforced and poured with concrete. Such a foundation is best used when building a small bath.

Earthwork during the construction of strip and column foundations is necessary, but the scope of these works will be different.

Pile foundation of reinforced concrete piles and monolithic slab we will not consider, they are not needed for the construction of a bath.

We design the foundation for a brick oven

If a brick oven is chosen for the bath, you must first decide at the project stage on the need to build a foundation for it. Calculations are made quite simply: the weight of one cubic meter brickwork we take it as 1350 kg and multiply this value by the volume of the furnace structure. The result of 750 kg means the obligatory need to build a foundation for the furnace. Lack of foundation or design errors will lead to catastrophic consequences.

Important ! The foundation for the stove cannot be less in depth than the foundation of the bath. The foundation for the stove bears the load only from it and does not need to be made part of the general foundation of the bath. It is desirable that there is a small distance between the common foundation and the foundation for the furnace. When the structure shrinks, both foundations will be able to move relative to each other.

It is customary to design a simple rubble concrete foundation for a brick oven. At the freezing depth in the region, a foundation pit is arranged with sides 150 mm larger than the side of the foundation. It is planned to backfill the bottom of the pit with a layer of crushed stone, followed by ramming. The size of the pit is set wooden formwork. The formwork is pretreated with hot bitumen. Alternatively, you can use ruberoid. After the formwork is installed, the first layer of large stones is poured, the cavities between which are filled with fine gravel. The layer is poured cement-sand mortar prepared in a ratio of 1:3. Each subsequent layer of stones is poured with a break of a day, and so on until reaching the desired mark. When using a prefabricated solution and with a shallow foundation depth, it is allowed to perform all the work at a time.

Important ! The difference between the level of the finished floor and the foundation should be about 70 mm. The surface of the foundation is carefully leveled and closed plastic wrap. The laying of the furnace can be started no earlier than after 7 days.

In the old days, the issue of bath ventilation was solved simply and rationally. In the log cabins of the baths, the lower crowns were attached freely, and air could pass through the cracks.

Today, when preparing a bath project, it is necessary to provide for the installation of a channel for the inflow of fresh air and for the exhaust of exhaust air. The sizes of these ventilation ducts depends on the volume of rooms in the bath. The exhaust duct must not be smaller than the supply duct.

Choosing a bath project

First, we determine what material will be used to build the bath. It is customary to build baths from ordinary or rounded logs, glued beams, bricks, blocks, frame baths are popular.

Log bath projects

Log baths are a traditional version of a real Russian bath. The tree enhances the therapeutic and prophylactic effect of the bath on the human body, which has been confirmed by centuries of experience.

To build a bath, you can choose:

Projects of baths from glued beams

Baths made of glued beams are considered one of the most popular. This is due to the high manufacturability of the material while maintaining the properties of wood. A feature of the projects of baths made of glued laminated timber is the ability to create functional and interesting structural elements of the structure without additional serious costs. We are talking, first of all, about covered terraces and remote gables.

The use of glued beams in construction makes it possible to diversify architectural forms facilities and move away from standard solutions.

Brick bath projects

The use of brick as building material makes it possible to build a structure of almost any shape. Brick is environmentally friendly pure material and is excellently suited for the construction of baths. The advantages of brick should be attributed very long term its operation, attractive appearance(building from facing brick does not need outdoor decoration), thermal insulation properties.

However, when designing a brick bath, it is imperative to provide for good ventilation and vapor barrier, otherwise the structure will become damp. It should also be taken into account that the cost of building a brick bath will be higher than a wooden bath. Below we offer you to see photos of brick bath projects.

Projects of baths from gas silicate blocks

A feature of the project of a bath from gas silicate blocks is the light weight of the material, the reduction in connection with the load on the foundation and the possibility of building even on problematic soils. The blocks themselves are easily processed, they can be sawn, pricked and their fragments can be used as decorative elements.

Projects of baths with an attic

When designing a bath with an attic, it is necessary to take into account the additional load on the foundation. It is also required to calculate the number of supporting structures and determine their location.

The angle of inclination of the roof specified in the project will determine usable area attic. The angle of inclination is usually 30-60°.

When compiling floor plan we must try to minimize the area that the stairs will occupy. But climbing it should remain comfortable.

A mandatory requirement is the inclusion in the project of vapor and thermal insulation of the ceiling between the first floor and the attic. This is necessary to prevent the appearance of fungus in the bath on the ceiling.

The advantage of such a project will be a significant increase in usable area, while the weight of the entire structure increases slightly.

Rational use of the site provides for the construction of buildings with several floors. Having equipped an attic above the bath, we will get an additional room, and the terrace, arranged under a common roof, will become a place enjoy your holiday. Building a bathhouse with an attic and a terrace is a complex and time-consuming process, but following the technology, you can handle it yourself. The attic is not inferior in functionality to the second floor, but its arrangement is cheaper.

Project preparation

Using computer programs, you can complete the construction project according to individual parameters. If you are satisfied with the standard plan for a bath with an attic, you should use a ready-made drawing, including the dimensions of the rooms and their layout plan. The standard construction option is considered to be with dimensions of 6 × 6 meters. On the ground floor there are: a rest room, a steam room, a toilet and a vestibule. In addition to the existing dimensions, from 1.5 to 3 m is added to the width of the terrace and balcony.

For a bath with an attic, a sloping roof is most often chosen - this best option, which provides the most free space under the roof. A sufficient number and large size of attic windows will allow you not to spend additional money on lighting. Staircase - a project item that should be given Special attention. It is necessary to decide on its design on initial stage. Two options will work:

 1. A spiral staircase that occupies a minimum of space, but creates some difficulties when climbing.
 2. Marching wooden staircase with handrails, requiring more space, but providing easy and safe movement.

The design provides for the choice of hydro and thermal insulation, which are important for the bath and the room above it.

Frame bath

Construction on frame technology is half the price of a bathhouse made of logs or timber. It will take not only less money, but also time to build. This is a fairly simple option for building with your own hands. Besides, frame bath characterized by the absence of shrinkage. With a competent device for insulation and vapor barrier, heat will remain in it for a long time.

If a columnar foundation is used as the basis on asbestos-cement pipes, then their cross section must be at least 150 mm.

After waterproofing the foundation with two layers of roofing material, they begin to create a frame.

For corner posts, a bar with a size of 100 × 100 mm is used, an ordinary bar is 50 × 100 mm. Previously, the wood is treated with an antiseptic. Bottom trim fastened to the foundation with anchor bolts, and vertical racks connected with metal plates. The frame beams are installed in increments of 600 mm. Next, the upper strapping is performed, and the ceiling beams. Outside, the frame is sheathed with OSB boards. Installed on floor beams rafter system taking into account the attic, the crate is stuffed under the roofing.

For competent wall insulation, a multilayer cake is used: on OSB board waterproofing is attached on the outside and exterior finish, for example, siding; from the inside, a heater, a vapor barrier and an inner lining made of planed boards are placed. Finishing is done by lining from conifers tree. Pine lining has the most affordable price. The internal partitions of the premises are also framed, they are installed with the obligatory laying of insulation. Special attention is paid to the insulation and vapor barrier of the ceiling. It will be necessary to lay the vapor barrier in two layers - one under the insulation, and the second on top. Logs for the floor are made of boards 150 × 50 mm, insulation and a draft floor are made from unedged boards, a tongue-and-groove board is recommended for the finishing floor. The staircase to the attic is installed in the rest room.

Bath from a bar

It is more difficult to build a bathhouse with an attic from glued or profiled timber than a frame structure. Both types of lumber are durable and easy to install, significant difference is the degree of shrinkage and cost. Glued laminated timber, made from pressed coniferous boards, has greater strength and less shrinkage. Its cost is almost twice as high as that of profiled timber. When choosing a material, pay attention to its appearance, high-quality wood should not have blue, cracks, chips and knots. The surface of the beam must be flat and not have deviations in geometry. For building warm bath choose a bar with a size of 150 × 150 mm.

Foundation device

Before starting excavation, they find out the nature of the soil, if it is unreliable, it is better to choose pile foundation. Pillars should be located at each corner of the building and at the intersection internal partitions. For wooden building on dense soil, a shallow strip foundation is suitable.

 1. On a flat cleared area, a place is marked for the base with the help of pegs driven in at the corners and a stretched fishing line. Under the partitions, it is enough to install poles at a distance of 1.5–2 m.
 2. The trench is dug 500 mm deep and 300 mm wide. At the bottom, an embankment of crushed stone is arranged to a height of 150 mm. At the installation sites of the pillars, such actions are performed.
 3. The formwork is installed from the boards.
 4. A reinforcing frame is made to increase the strength of concrete. For it, reinforcement of 8-10 mm is used, interconnected.
 5. Concrete is being poured. At the place of supports under the partitions, a pipe made of twisted roofing material is inserted into the pits and poured with concrete. The foundation will be ready for operation in a month.
 6. When constructing the foundation, a separate base is poured under the furnace.

Wall mounting

The foundation is covered with waterproofing from two layers of roofing material. Before laying, the entire beam is treated with an antiseptic. For the first crown, a beam is used bigger size– 200×200 mm. It must be laid exactly on the level, because it sets the geometry of the entire building. The profiled beam is made with a locking connection, which facilitates its installation. The rows are connected with wooden dowels. A through hole is drilled in the beam, reaching half of the lower beam. The dowel is hammered into the lower crown, and the upper one is put on it. A special insulation is placed between the crowns - jute or tow.

Bath floor manufacturing

A pillow of crushed stone and sand is poured onto the floor area, and logs are laid from a bar with a section of 100 mm. Insulation is laid between them, which, in turn, is covered with a layer of waterproofing. Expanded clay is suitable as insulation. Top fit batten. In the washing room, it is more practical to make a monolithic screed and tile the floor. From above you can put wooden ladders.

Cover device

The overlap between the bath and the attic requires the correct placement of vapor barrier and insulation. The ceiling of the bath is formed from the crate with edged boards and sewn up with clapboard. Top part the ceilings are covered with a vapor barrier sheet, thermal insulation and another layer of vapor barrier are laid on top. For efficiency, a foil film is used. The finish coat is laid with a gap for ventilation. Above the steam room edged board the foil is attached, and then the lining is hemmed. Expanded clay is poured from the side of the attic in this place as a heater.

Roof construction and insulation

A sloping roof is suitable for placing an attic. A crate is stuffed onto the rafters in accordance with the selected type of roofing. For a metal tile, its pitch is a wavelength of 300, 350 and 500 mm. Waterproofing and roofing material is laid on the crate. A vapor barrier is fixed from below, insulation is laid, most often mineral wool, and the second layer of the vapor barrier is attached. Next, a crate is made to finish the room with a clapboard. For the attic windows of a special design are used.

Roof windows are equipped with impact-resistant glass, sills and open with the knowledge that they are installed at a slope, so they cannot be replaced by ordinary windows.

If a bath from a bar is bought as a ready-made log house, then all the parts are numbered and it will be easy to follow the assembly sequence. After the tree shrinks, windows and doors are inserted.

A log bath is a classic option, it does not require additional finishing inside and out. Due to the thickness of the chopped walls, no insulation is required, it is enough to treat them with a special protective composition. The cost of such a building is quite high, but it is offset by the lack of spending on finishing, durability and beautiful appearance.

Most owners of suburban real estate dream of building a bathhouse on their site. And how can you do without it? After all, bath procedures are very beneficial for health. They strengthen the immune system, help relieve fatigue and stress after working days, gain fresh strength for the next working week. And in summer period without a bath it is difficult to imagine a good rest in the country with family and friends. Previously, these buildings were mostly one-story. Today, they are being built on two floors, equipping them with spacious lounges, bedrooms for guests, a billiard room or a home spa. But lately, many have chosen a bath project with an attic - quite good option with an increase in free space, only much cheaper compared to a two-story building.

What is an attic for?

The construction of a bath with an attic is functional solution. This allows, in the presence of not too spacious areas, enough small area not only place the necessary bath rooms, but also add other auxiliary ones to them. In addition, the construction of such a bath is more budgetary than the construction of a building with two floors.

An attic is a space that expands the usable area of the premises due to the roof structure. Most often it is used as a rest room after bath procedures. Comfortable furniture, a billiard table and other things are placed in it, which contributes to a more complete rest. But, in addition, the attic room can act as:

Bedroom attic equipment

 • room for guests;
 • a full bedroom for one of the family members in the summer;
 • pantry or a place for temporary storage of any things.

Of course, if on suburban area already there is a building for bath procedures on one floor, then the roof structure can be equipped under the attic, having designed the room accordingly. But still, it is much more profitable to immediately consider the project of a bath with an attic at the planning stage. These structures vary in size. But the most popular are 4 x 6 and 6 x 6 m.

Attention! When planning a bath with an attic, it is necessary to take into account the total load on the base, the strength and reliability of both the foundation and the supporting structures.

Compact and easy-to-use baths with an attic 4 x 6 m

Projects of such baths are considered one of the simplest. The building turns out to be quite compact, but at the same time everything you need for a good rest can be placed in it. It's practically perfect option for a small family. They are especially suitable for those who do not have free space on their site. But even despite the rather modest size, it is possible to draw up the correct plan for all the premises inside the building itself.

On the ground floor of a bath 4 x 6 m usually have:

 • steam room;
 • washing or shower;
 • entrance area;
 • rest room or hallway;
 • veranda or terrace.

Bath project with an attic

on the veranda or outdoor terrace you can additionally put a table and chairs to relax in the summer on fresh air after visiting the steam room, which brings some simplicity and naturalness into the atmosphere. But bath projects can be without them, if someone prefers to increase the area of the entrance area, hallway or lounge downstairs.

On the attic floor there is a rest room or a guest room. But it happens that the owner decides to equip the attic for a pantry or a small warehouse for storing something. In this case, the place to relax after the steam room is usually located below, it can be combined with the hallway. The stairs to the attic are most often located in the place of the entrance area of the first floor, so as not to unnecessarily clutter up the already not very spacious premises of buildings of this size.

Advice. When planning the attic floor, it is important to take into account the height of the ceilings in this room so that it is comfortable enough to be there. Optimal Height- not less than 2-2.5 m.

Bath 6 x 6 - a popular option

The design for a bath measuring 6x6 m can be called the most popular today. Such a structure does not take up too much space on the site, while the arrangement of the attic allows you to significantly increase the usable area of the building. The dimensions of the rooms inside the bath can be different, depending on the needs and wishes of the owner and his family members.

Such a bath provides for the presence of premises on the ground floor of the same purpose as in the building of 4 x 6 m - this is an entrance area with a staircase for climbing to the attic, a relaxation room, a steam room and a washing room, in which a small pool can be additionally placed. Rooms can be larger or smaller in size, depending on the needs of the family and the large number of lovers of bath procedures.

The terrace in such a bath can be made quite spacious. This is especially true in cases where the bath is actively used in the summer. But sometimes the terrace area is reduced in favor of other rooms inside the building. Most often, this is done if bath procedures are in demand evenly throughout the year, including during the cold season.

Bath 6 x 6 meters

The attic floor in the 6x6 bath is also equipped differently. There can be made one a large room to relax in the company of family or friends. But often this large space is divided into several parts. A fairly common option is when they equip a place in the attic room to relax after the steam room, guest room and a balcony. Here everyone chooses for himself a project to his liking, and what exactly suits him best.

Materials for the construction of baths and varieties of roofs

For the construction of a bath with an attic can be used various materials, especially since modern choice big enough. These buildings are:

 • wooden;
 • from foam concrete;
 • using aerated concrete.

Always up-to-date is natural material like a tree. Previously, baths were built mainly from logs. Today round logs are also used for certain projects. But more popular is wooden beamconvenient option for the construction of buildings with an attic. The traditional material for interior cladding remains aspen or linden lining or boards made from these types of wood.

Arrangement of a steam room

And as for the choice of the type of roof during the construction of a bath, the following types of roofs are more often used:

 • lean-to;
 • gable;
 • tented.

Gables are the more common option, they are used in the construction of baths and 4x6 m, and 6x6 m. Sheds are much less common. They are more relevant for small structures.

A bath on your site is one of the attributes that makes life modern man more comfortable. A properly designed project and layout of a bathhouse with an attic can be called the basis for its successful construction. And everything else is a matter of taste and realization of the fantasies of the owner. But do not forget about the requirements of safety rules, as well as the observance of sanitary standards.

Why do you need an attic?

Such a project allows you to place on compact area all necessary bath rooms and rest rooms. In addition, the attic will create second floor while saving money. It expands the usable area by creating a room using roof structures. Often on the second floor they arrange a place to relax, place a billiard table, as well as comfortable and functional furniture.

In addition, from the attic you can do:

 1. Guest room.
 2. bedroom for the summer.
 3. Pantry or a utility room in which it is convenient to store things and inventory.

It is better to plan everything in advance and design.

Project 6 x 6 - the most demanded

The choice of the size of the main premises depends on the individual desires of the owner. You can create if you plan to use the bath in the warm season. When using a bath all year round the area is reduced for the arrangement of other rooms.

In the first room - the entrance hall - is equipped. Other room sizes may vary.

Here is one of the planning options for the bath complex:

Important! The main room is the steam room. It may have an area of 4 square meters. m. The room contains two- or three-tier shelves and bake. It is important to take into account such nuances: the top shelf should retreat at least 1 m from the ceiling, the width is 0.7 m, and the length is 2.5 m or more.

 1. Near the steam room there should be a washing room measuring approximately 4 square meters. m or more. In this room, a font or a small font is also equipped.
 2. For a waiting room or a rest room, you need to leave 7 square meters. m area, since many people can relax at the same time.
 3. Do not forget about the availability, it does not need a lot of space - 2 square meters is enough. m. The rest is occupied by a terrace.

To create a full-fledged room, it must be equipped with windows and doors. They don’t make a window in the steam room, a small window is enough in the washing room, but in the rest room they put a standard window opening.

Materials you will need

The construction market offers a variety of materials for the construction of buildings:

 1. .
 2. Brick.
 3. Foam concrete or aerated concrete.

The most popular natural material for a bath is wood. Many manufacturers offer ready-made wood projects that are quickly assembled and last a long time. For interior decoration suitable linden or aspen, which is sawn into boards or lining.

To create a roof, the following are used:

 1. lean-to;
 2. gable;
 3. tent.

On a note! For a size of 6 x 6, a gable design is most often used. Shed roofing suitable for small buildings.

Instructions for building a building

The construction of a building from any material is not too different from each other. The main thing is to follow a certain sequence of actions.

First stage. Preparatory

It is important to choose the right place on. Well, if it turns out to build a bathhouse on the shore of a reservoir. This will allow you to cool down after the steam room by plunging into the icy water. This procedure improves immunity and strengthens the body. If this is not possible, then it is worth equipping a font or pool.

A good place would be an elevation on the site. Do not place the building near the road if you want to hide people from the prying eyes of vacationers. The selected area is cleared of debris and plants, and also leveled.

Second phase. Building a foundation

Since the structure of wood is light, there is no need for a complex foundation. One of the options is suitable: tape or columnar.

 1. Strip foundation It has the shape of a circle closed around the perimeter of the structure. In the trench, a formwork is created from the boards. A layer of sand 15 cm thick is laid on the bottom. The depth of the trench is half a meter, and the width must be wider than the planned foundation to account for the formwork. This option is more reliable and allows you to make a basement under the building.
 2. columnar variant is performed by making piles that are dug into the ground to a depth lower than the soil freezes through. Piles are installed at the corners of the building and every 2 m around the perimeter. This option is cheaper.

Important! After making the foundation, they proceed to create the foundation for the floor. To do this, the selected timber is treated with an antifungal compound and molten bitumen, after which it is closed with several layers of roofing material.

Third stage. Walling

The first strapping row is made from a large beam, it is larger than the one that will be used for the walls. The peculiarity is that this row is not fixed: this is necessary so that over time it can be replaced.

When laying the logs of the log house, they are fixed together with a dowel, the diameter of which is 10 mm, and a jute one is laid between the rows.

Fourth stage. Floor installation

In the steam room and washing room, the floors are made with a slope so that the water does not stagnate, but flows down the drain. It is important to properly make the floor under the stove. When using a metal firebox, the base under it is covered with steel sheet or . For creating brick oven it is worth reinforcing the floor.

Fifth stage. Roofing

In order to cover a structure 6 x 6 m, you need to make a broken line mansard roof. For rafters, you can take boards 50 x 150 mm, and for roofing material suitable ondulin.

Important! First, a frame and rafters are made of timber, then everything is covered with roofing material.

Sixth stage. Interior decoration of rooms
