Landscaping and planning

In hot weather, quite often in the country you want to freshen up, but there are situations when there is no clean reservoir nearby, and arranging a pool is a rather complicated and expensive task. To get out of this situation, it is recommended to independently build a summer garden shower for a summer residence, it will save you in summer heat and very refreshing. It will be especially pleasant to take it after a difficult labor day. A shower will help you relieve tension, refresh, invigorate, calm and distract from negativity.

This building performs another equally important practical function - it is health care. It is recommended to periodically rinse in order to wash off the dust that has settled on you, which may contain fertilizer particles. Doctors have noticed that people who neglect summer showers and prefer to postpone hygiene procedures until taking a bath are more likely to turn to specialists with problems such as diseases gastrointestinal tract and skin diseases.

But what if there is no shower in the country house? If you don’t want to splash around in a trough or basin, you need to arrange comfort in the field and build a summer shower with your own hands, using ready-made drawings and photos, having studied the description step by step.

The choice of material and location are the most important parameters

This building has a huge variety of construction options, both technically and aesthetically. But general details are unchanged for any option, these are the frame, fence, tank and pallet (floor). But the options for their assembly are very diverse.

as the simplest and affordable option, is to take a bucket to punch more small holes in it and hang it in a convenient place. The main advantage of such a device is its absolute accessibility, but sometimes ten liters may not be enough to wash normally. And from the side of aesthetics, such a design is not very attractive. Another plus of this option is that you do not need to build anything.

If you do not follow simple paths, then an outdoor shower can be constructed from wood, metal profiles and various plastics. The choice of material depends on what tool you are using. If you do not have a grinder at your disposal and welding machine, then the structure will have to be built from planed bars. Can be used as cladding plastic lining, a board, or simply attach the waterproof film to the racks.

Each option has its own subtleties. For example, when assembling a wooden summer shower, you can use great amount design options, but plastic and metal constructions do not need special processing.

Very important point at the beginning of the assembly, how many people and how often will use the shower. Based on this, the volume of the tank is calculated, as well as the presence of a special drain.

The comfort of using the shower can be different. If possible, equip the do-it-yourself shower in the country with a locker room. In this case, you will avoid such an unpleasant moment as wet things. The highest degree of comfort is a structure that contains a shower, dressing room and toilet. Of course, the creation of such a structure will require investment and money and effort. If the tank is painted black, the water will heat up faster.

When choosing a location for the shower, try to keep it sunny, and buildings and trees as far away as possible. This is important, since the sun is the source of water heating in the tank. Another point, the shower does not need to be installed on a noticeably lowering ground, as this will make it difficult for water to drain. You need to take special care of the drain itself.

With infrequent use and a small amount of water, a small drainage layer under the pan will be enough. And if the shower is used by a family of several people who will use it quite often, it will be necessary to equip a septic tank. It should be located 2-3 meters from the structure itself, this is done so that the shower does not go out of it bad smell. Moisture-loving plants can be planted near the summer shower - they will decorate the place and provide natural drainage.

After the site is chosen, the design and material are determined, you can proceed to the construction of the building. To do this, learn 5 simple options for how to make an outdoor shower yourself.

Homemade shower cabin made of wood

Before you build a summer shower in the country, you need to prepare all the necessary materials and tools for work. To create an outdoor shower structure, you will need the following materials:

 • timber;
 • self-tapping screws;
 • rubber hose;
 • shower kit, which includes a bracket, a curved pipe, an adapter, a faucet and a nozzle.

Assembly steps for a wooden garden summer shower:

 1. A shower pit is dug 40 cm deep and 1 × 1 m in size, a layer of rubble is poured into the bottom of the pit, it will contribute to the rapid absorption of soapy water by the soil. After that, cinder blocks need to be laid in the corners. They must be leveled.
 2. After that, we begin to make a frame. To do this, you need boards 15 cm wide and 30 mm thick. Of these, a base is made with a size of 1 × 1 m, 4 beams with a section of 70 × 100 mm are attached to it. With the help of side and two transverse jumpers inserted into the grooves, the frame is ligated. They also serve as roof reinforcements, where a hundred-liter tank will be installed.
 3. Frame sheathing. To do this, you can use lining, blockhouse or false timber. The gaps between the grooves should be about 2-3 millimeters. This is necessary so that when wet, the timber can easily expand. We used a material that imitates logs for shower cladding.
 4. Finishing. Before painting, you need to prime the wood. For this, a bioprotective antifungal impregnation is suitable, after it dries, the surface is painted with facade acrylic water-borne varnish in 3 layers.
 5. Then you need to hang a tank, the minimum volume of which is one hundred liters, a curtain, install shelves and attach hooks.

For self-creation such a shower in the country will take 1-2 days. But a do-it-yourself shower cabin in the country will delight throughout the summer season.

Country shower made of polycarbonate

At the mention of polycarbonate, a greenhouse comes to mind for many. Most immediately wonder - how to use such a shower, it is also transparent. But for showers there is a special material that hides everything.

A summer shower made of polycarbonate on a metal profile is more durable than a wooden one and is not more difficult to assemble. This will require a profile pipe with a cross section of 40 × 20 mm with a wall thickness of 2 mm and a steel corner of 50 × 50 mm. The number of profiles is determined based on the dimensions of the shower: length and width - 1 meter, height - 2.1 meters.

The dimensions of the cabin are not critical, since its length and width depend on the dimensions of the tank. Racks should be 10 cm more than the height of the frame, this is necessary for concreting.

For convenience, it is better to assemble sidewalls on a flat concrete or asphalt site, using welder's magnets to fix the profiles.

Step by step instructions on how to make a shower from profile pipe and polycarbonate looks like this:

 1. On the site, two racks and two crossbars are laid in pairs, after which they are overlapped.
 2. After installing the side frames, two transverse profiles are attached vertically to them by welding, the corners are checked and the joints are fixed with a working seam.
 3. As soon as a concrete screed is poured under the booth, a finished frame is placed on it so that the legs of the racks sink into the concrete. The installation is checked for verticality (if necessary, the depth of immersion in the screed racks is adjusted).
 4. It remains only to weld the frame for the door and fix the hinges on it. The final touch will be cutting cellular polycarbonate and its fastening with self-tapping screws to the frame itself. To collect water, you can use a steel pallet or, at the time of concreting, make a special drain channel.
 5. For the tank, it is recommended to use plastic flat tanks. They are easier to install and play the role of a roof completely covering the booth.

An outdoor shower made of polycarbonate can look very attractive thanks to color scheme. Of course, such a design should not be put at the forefront. But for the owners themselves and their guests it will be very pleasant to use such a shower. In addition, polycarbonate does not require any special care.

Brick shower

The creation of a brick structure requires the construction of a foundation. To do this, it will be necessary to dig a trench 400 deep and 200 mm wide along the perimeter of the future structure. The trench is covered with broken bricks and poured with liquid concrete so that it seeps between it. After a week has passed after the concrete has hardened, begin laying bricks on the cement mortar.

Don't forget to install door frame. The door itself can be made of wood, or you can weld a frame from a profile and sew a sheet of corrugated board into it. When you are laying last layer bricks, wall in the transverse wooden bars, preferably brick thickness. A tank will be attached to them, and the roof will be laid.

The roof will require a rigid material. Corrugated board or slate is well suited for this role. After roofing material fixed in it, a hole is drilled in the middle of the roof. A tank is installed on the roof so that the supply tube passes into the hole. A tap and a watering can are screwed onto the tube.

The optimal volume of the tank for such a shower is 200 liters. In the store you can buy a plastic or galvanized tank or make your own from stainless steel. Any container that has a neck for pouring water can be used as a tank.

To create a heated brick shower, a heating element with a power of 2 kW must be mounted in a metal tank. The reconciliation container must be painted black. This color attracts the sun's rays more strongly, which allows the water to heat up faster. If wood-burning titanium is additionally installed in the cabin, then in addition to heating the water, it is also possible to heat the cabin itself. In this case, you will need to install another tank with cold water.

There are two methods for creating floor and drainage country shower:

 • dig a hole equal to the area of the booth and 300 mm deep, fill it with rubble on top of which install a wooden slatted pallet. Such drainage copes well with a small amount of water;
 • if it is planned to build a shower for a summer house with heating, which will be used a large number of people, it is necessary to drain. To do this, lay 50 mm sewer pipe from the dug hole to drainage well. Fill the hole with gravel and fill it with concrete so that the drain is flush with the floor. Lay on top of concrete wooden pallet.

A do-it-yourself summer shower for a brick cottage is not built for one season, but for many years, so it can be equipped with heating.

Summer shower from corrugated board

A good solution can be considered the construction of a country shower from corrugated board. This material is light weight and durable. For sheathing with such material, both wooden and metal carcass, but it must necessarily have additional transverse bars.

An additional emphasis will not hurt due to the fact that given material pretty soft. For a metal profile, the frame is built similarly to the above options.

The door frame is recommended to be welded from metal profile. The metal profile is fastened with galvanized self-tapping screws with a sealing washer through one wave. First, corrugated sheets are attached to the side walls, then attached to the door.

If it becomes necessary to cut the material, use scissors or a special disc with teeth for the grinder, this is done so that the special blade does not burn out during cutting. polymer coating corrugated board.

The frame of this shower is made of metal pipes. The wall cladding is made of brown corrugated board. The roof is also made of corrugated board. An opening between the roof and the wall allows light to enter the shower room.

A simple option for building a summer shower

Often, many people think about how to build a summer shower with their own hands using a minimum of funds for this. This shower will be able to provide a minimum of people and will allow you to save as much as possible.

The simplest shower design is installed near the blank wall of the main building. A water tank with an attached shower head is also attached to this wall. The floor of such a shower is a wooden pallet or a concrete platform for convenience, which is covered with a rubber mat. As walls use a cellophane curtain or tarpaulin wrapped around wooden frame.

In the role of shelves for shampoos and soaps, you can use any improvised means. For this purpose, you can even use a plastic bottle cut in half and nailed to the wall. The bottom of the bottle can serve as a stand for shampoos, and the top for soap or washcloths, which will allow water to drain freely and not stagnate.

From the aesthetic side, such a structure noticeably loses, unlike the capital one, but nevertheless it has the right to exist.

5 ideas for organizing a shower in the country

A fairly inexpensive and fairly simple country shower is a frame made of wooden bars sheathed with a planed board.

If you have a grinder and a welding machine at your disposal, you can make a summer shower yourself from a metal profile and cover its walls with a tarpaulin. In the absence of a welding machine, the frame can be assembled using threaded connections, reinforcing the corners with steel “kerchief” plates. The sides can also be closed with a film screen put on the rings and cord.

The frame for the shower does not need to be built if you attach it to the wall of the house. To do this, you will need to line it with a waterproof material and bring the mixer with a hose to the surface. Having covered the floor with large pebbles, after performing a simple drainage, you will get a fairly cozy and bright corner for taking water procedures. If you do not like the open version of the wall shower, you can put it at wall light screen.

Considering further the options for a summer shower, it is worth noting that it can be made not only from purchased, but also inexpensive improvised materials. Look at the photo below. The frame of this design is made of wooden blocks. The fence is woven from willow vines, which can be found next to summer cottages.

A shower can also be made from a corrugated metal sheet bent in a semicircle. For this option, you do not need to install a tank for heating water. You just need to connect to the water supply.

Now you know enough how to make a country shower yourself. If you are full of confidence in the need for a country shower, then go for it. The best option is obtained after preliminary calculations. And after the end of this work, you can return to everyday country chores, in which case you have a place where you can freshen up.

After a hard day on earth, sometimes you want to cleanse your body of dirt and refresh yourself in warm water.

If there is a body of water suitable for swimming nearby, then it’s good. And if not, then it's time to think about arranging a summer shower in a summer cottage.

What you need to know about the summer shower

There are two types of this building:

 • Naturally heated by sunlight. This shower is simpler in design. But it will not work on cloudy and cold days.
 • With artificial heating. In this case, you will need to think about the type of heating device and take care of its proper design. But such a shower will not depend on the vagaries of the weather.

A shower cabin with a tank can be purchased at the store. Its cost varies from 5,000 to 18,000 thousand rubles, depending on the materials.

Such a shower will last much longer and the water in it will heat up faster and hold heat more reliably. For a shower design, a square-shaped tank is more suitable. It is more stable and roomy.

In addition, this form accelerates the heating of water. The size of the tank depends on the number of people who will use it during the day. But remember, the larger the tank, the slower the water warms up in it.

Now consider the stages of preparation and construction of a summer shower with heated water.

Preparatory work

It all starts with choosing a place where the shower will stand. It should be protected from the wind and as accessible as possible to the sun's rays.

The first condition is necessary to prevent the possibility of catching a cold due to a draft after taking a shower.

The second is to make water heating more efficient. Even if you are designing an artificially heated shower, a natural one will help reduce energy consumption. And an important factor - it is better to put a shower near a reservoir or a water tap.

Having decided on the place, it's time to think about the size of the structure. The standard is a square-shaped shower with walls one and a half meters long and a little more than two meters high. But if among the potential users of the soul there are full or very tall people, in the design of the cabin you need to take this into account.

An important factor is what materials will be used in the construction. You can use a frame made of wooden beams. It is eco-friendly, but not very durable.

Therefore, the shower frame is preferred to be made of metal, and everything else is made of wood. In this case, you should prepare tool kits for working with both metal and wood.

The last point that needs to be considered before starting construction is the drain device. There are several options. The simplest is that the water goes into the soil under the booth.

This is not very convenient, because you have to leave gaps between the boards in the floor, and this in turn will lead to drafts in the shower. A more common option is to drain water into a specially dug cesspool or septic.

To do this, a tray is installed on the floor of the shower stall. It is specially placed with a slope so that the used water does not stagnate and does not require additional efforts for cleaning after taking a shower, and a pipe or hose is brought from below, the other end of which is sent to the pit.

Building a summer shower

Construction starts with installation uprights. If the soil in the area of your summer cottage is not reliable, then it makes sense to build a foundation under each rack.

frame three walls can be strengthened with cross beams. So you can be sure that the structure will not fall apart in a couple of years under the weight of a tank or something else. And on top you need to equip a platform for a tank of water.

Sheathing is carried out with already prepared material in two layers (external and internal), between which insulation is optionally laid.

This extra layer is necessary if you plan to use the shower in spring or autumn when the weather is not warm enough. After completing this part of the work, the door is hung.

In conclusion, the installation of the tank is to be done. First, a heating element (heater) is installed inside on metal brackets, and so that it does not touch the walls. Then a hose equipped with a water tap is connected to the tank, and an electric cable is connected to the heating element.

All this should now be installed on a prepared platform on the roof and secured with metal cables. From above, you can build a semblance of a greenhouse: stretch the film (preferably dark color) on wooden bars.

So the heat will be attracted and at the same time not go outside. At the final stage, it is worth once again checking the tightness of the system, if necessary, use rubber gaskets or silicone seals.

With limited time or funds, you can arrange an endowed version of the shower. He settles against the wall country house, to which a water tank and a shower head are attached. Shower walls replaced this case curtains made of tarpaulin or cellophane, attached to a light wooden frame.

The dacha always combines a place of both work and rest. Therefore, make sure that the working conditions are comfortable, and the place of rest is pleasant. A summer heated shower will help you with this.

Not many people know how to make a shower in the country and enjoy the "benefits of civilization" away from the city. Before you make a summer shower, we suggest that you carefully read the materials on this page. Here are given detailed descriptions, video and photo of the process of erecting such an object. Even a novice master will be able to assemble a summer shower with his own hands after familiarization. Moreover, in order to make a shower in the country with your own hands, you do not need to supply hot water and install sewer drains.

The construction of any outbuilding, as a rule, consists of four main stages. These include site selection, foundation preparation, wall assembly and roof installation. In the case of a shower, the last stage is replaced by the organization of the water supply.

Summer shower in the country: photo and video

A place for a summer shower is usually chosen on the far side of the summer cottage, hidden from prying eyes, they also think over the method of heating and supplying water, the location and design of the tank.

If the water in the tank is planned to be heated from the sun, then the shower is installed in a place as open as possible to sunlight and away from those natural and artificial barriers, the shadow of which can fall on the tank.

We offer to see the shower in the country in the photo:

Summer shower device in the country

The device of a summer shower in the country implies the presence of a source hot water or installation heating elements in close proximity. If it is planned to use electricity to heat the water in the tank, or the water will flow into the tank already warm, then the shower can be placed in any convenient place on the back of the summer cottage, including as an extension to the main or outbuildings.

Preparation of the base of the summer shower includes two types of work:

 • equipment for the outflow and disposal of used water;
 • production of flooring.

For summer cottages with their own or centralized sewerage, it is not difficult to organize water drainage. It is enough to equip the floor with a drain system and connect it with a pipe to the collection point for sewage liquids. The floor can be filled with a cement-sand screed with a recess or a metal pallet can be installed.

On the summer cottages where there is no sewerage, drain into a toilet pit or equip a receiver to collect and dispose of water under a summer shower. To do this, they dig a hole 1.4 x 1.4 m deep 1.2 m at the site of the future building. The walls are poured with concrete 20 cm thick so that the inner space is 1 x 1 m in size. Then the pit is filled with equal layers of sand, gravel and coarse stone. In summer, these layers will delay almost everything harmful substances, which in the autumn-winter-spring period are neutralized by precipitation.

If an outdoor shower is intended for rinsing, and the main bathing process takes place in a bath, the water drainage system is organized according to a simplified scheme. The area under the shower is planned so that the slopes on three sides converge to a point located in the middle of the fourth side. From this point, a ditch is dug to the place where water is discharged into the sewer, to the beds or other remote places on the site. Then the site is covered with a piece of linoleum of a suitable size. If desired, the ditch is reinforced with a metal tray or half polyethylene pipe, cut along.

How to build a summer shower with your own hands

Before building an outdoor shower, the arrangement of the base is completed with the manufacture of wooden flooring, the task of which is to prevent slipping during use of the outdoor shower. For this, bars of 100 × 40 mm, knocked together with a picket fence, are suitable. The final dimensions of the flooring must correspond to the floor area. The width of the gap between the bars is recommended to be no more than 30 mm so that the feet do not fall through, especially for children. Such gaps allow the wood to dry quickly and not rot.

The general type of construction of the structure depends on the method of water supply. If the tank is installed directly above the shower cabin, then you will need a sufficiently strong and rigid frame that can withstand the weight of the tank filled with liquid (for a 100 l capacity, this is about 200 kg). In addition, the walls of the shower cubicle should hide a person from prying eyes and protect him from possible gusts of wind.

They are made from the following materials:

 • bricks, blocks or semi-blocks with a masonry width of half a brick;
 • concrete;
 • wooden shields knocked together from boards 35-50 mm thick, etc.

According to the operating conditions and from the point of view of sanitary and hygienic standards, the walls of the shower cabin should be 30-40 cm from the ceiling of the cabin and the pallet. Unlike blind boxes, such a building will not get damp, will have excellent ventilation and will be well warmed up by the sun.

You can build a summer shower with your own hands using frame technology construction of wall structures. For the wooden frame of the shower cubicle, racks made of timber with sides of 10 cm and a length of 3 m are suitable, and as an upper cast-off and veins - boards at least 10 cm wide, about 4 cm thick and long, equal side booths. To ensure long-term operation of the shower, it is advisable to cover all parts subject to moisture, decay and atmospheric factors with antiseptic, moisture-resistant and sunscreen compounds, paints or varnishes.

For the iron frame, you will need racks made of pipes with a diameter of at least 50 mm, as well as elements of cast-offs and veins from a corner of 45 mm of the same length. In this case, metal is the most convenient, practical and reliable material for construction. The walls are sheathed with any building material, resistant to sunlight and atmospheric phenomena: boards, slats, iron sheets, tin, corrugated board, etc.

The assembly of the booth begins with concreting the racks to a depth of about 60 cm. Then the upper elements of the cast-off and veins are fixed under the wall sheathing, stepping back from the lower and upper ends of the racks by 30-40 cm. Then the walls are sheathed, doors are hung and all surfaces are painted over waterproof paints and varnishes.

A shower cubicle supplied with water from a remote source is constructed in a similar way, but from lighter and possibly less durable materials. It is important that the structure is resistant to gusts of wind and can withstand its own weight. For sheathing the walls, an opaque fabric is used, such as thick flannel or tarpaulin.

We build a shower in the country

Let's consider one of these structures in more detail. It has good performance, and in addition, it allows you to install an outdoor shower in any convenient place and dismantle it for the winter. So, below is an example of how we build a shower in a country house using frame sheathing technology.

For a booth with base sides of 1.4 x 1.4 m, you will need 12 rods, 8 tees and 6.2 m of fabric. Pipes or fittings with a diameter of 16-24 mm are used as rods: four are 2.2 m long and eight are 1.4 m long. Tees are welded from pieces of pipes located perpendicular to each other. Each piece of pipe is about 10cm long and two sizes larger in diameter than the rods. At a distance of 3-4 cm from the ends of the finished tee, holes with a diameter of 8-12 mm are drilled and threads are cut for attaching the rods. Next, the walls and the curtain are cut out of the fabric. Taking into account the fact that the standard width of the fabric is 1.4-1.6 m, the fabric is processed only from the cut sides, it is not necessary to tamp the factory edges. First, cut off a piece 1.9 m long and tuck its edges. Rings are sewn on one side of the cut cloth, and weights (braces) in the form of bolts, pieces of lead and other objects are attached to the other. The pitch of the rings and sinkers should not exceed 7-10 cm. The cut edges of the remaining fabric are tamped so that the rod freely enters the tuck. To stretch the canvas well on the walls during the first assembly, wrap the fabric around the rack, align its back sides and mark a temporary seam by stitching it with a thread and a needle. Then sew the seam on the machine.

When all the details of the shower stall are ready, proceed directly to the assembly. First, the base is assembled using short rods and tees. They are firmly fixed to each other with bolts through the threaded holes. Racks are installed in the free ends of the tees and also fixed with bolts. Two racks that form the entrance to the booth are threaded through the edges of the fabric and the canvas is pulled through three sides of the future booth. Then the frame of the upper cast-off is assembled, while the rings for the curtain are strung on the rod located above the entrance. Finally, a jumper or crossbar is installed from any material at hand, on which a shower head, a valve and a hose coming from a water source are attached. To give the structure stability, hook brackets are driven in at the corners of the base of the frame.

Water supply can be carried out both from a remote source and from a container installed directly on the frame of the shower stall. In the first case, you will need an ordinary tap with a heater, a tap from the heating plant pipe or a tank installed in the attic of the main building. The organization of the water supply is quite simple: it is enough to connect the water source and the shower receiver with a hose. On the frame of the shower stall, you can place not only a metal tank, but also any plastic container that can hold liquid.

Pipes for water supply are cut as follows. Threads are applied to the ends of two pipe cuts 25-30 cm long. At one end of such a trim, a special clamping nut is screwed with the flat side to the insertion point and put on top of the rubber gasket. Further, in the upper part of one of the walls of the container, a hole is drilled along the diameter of the pipe. One pipe is pushed into it with the part where the nut is screwed onto the thread. On the reverse side, that is, from the inside of the container, a rubber gasket is put on the thread and the second clamping nut is screwed on. The same way the second pipe is fixed in a hole made at the bottom of the container.

This type of tie-in solves three problems at once: it simplifies the connection of the pipe with the tank, facilitates the repair of the tie-in point and helps to keep impurities at the bottom of the tank. However, it is not suitable for corrugated, corrugated, rounded and other uneven surfaces, because it does not ensure the tightness of the connection.

The water tank is mounted on a frame and equipped with a lid to protect it from leaves, dust and other debris. The upper pipe is connected to a water source, a valve and a shower head are screwed onto the lower one.

At air temperatures below +18 ° C, water is not able to warm up well during the day. To take a shower regardless of weather conditions, you should install some additional devices that accelerate the heating of water due to the energy of the sun or electricity. It can be a heating element or flow heater, mounted directly in front of the shower head. In this case, current-carrying parts should be well insulated from metal parts, water and humidity.

Country summer shower

Country summer shower can work perfectly from alternative sources energy, such as heating water with sunlight. There are several ways to convert solar energy into heat. The simplest of them is to install a frame with glass instead of a tank lid or stretch an ordinary greenhouse film over the tank. The container itself must be painted black inside and out.

V summer time the difference between the temperatures of the upper and lower layers of water sometimes reaches 10-15 °C. Given this, use the float method of water supply. One end of the rubber hose is connected to a pipe at the bottom of the tank, and the other end is equipped with a floating nozzle for water intake. The water intake is made from an ordinary piece of foam, having made holes on the sides and bottom.

There are more complex designs based on the principle of operation of radiator grilles. For example, if one end of a copper or aluminum coil painted black is cut into the bottom of the tank, and the other into the middle part, then accelerated heating of the water can be achieved. The water heated in the cavity of the coil will be pushed out by cold layers of liquid at the bottom of the tank and will return to the tank again.

Outdoor shower for giving

Here your outdoor shower for giving is almost ready, there are only some finishing touches left. The final arrangement of the summer shower comes down to hanging hooks for clothes and installing shelves for detergents. In a shower stall with walls made of solid material this is easy to do.

To build such devices on fabric walls, use empty plastic bottles: cut them diagonally and sew to the wall. As a result, you will get convenient containers for detergents: the lower part of the bottles is for shampoos or gels, the upper one, which provides water drainage, is for soaps or washcloths. Clothes, linen and towels can be fixed on the edge of the canvas with a regular clothespin, protected from water by an additional polyethylene curtain.

Look at the summer shower in the country in the photo:

If desired, build a dressing room to change clothes and protect clothes from splashes.

Another way to improve the shower is to organize the automatic accumulation of a container of water using a valve with a float lever mechanism. Typically, such a valve is found in toilet bowls - it blocks the intake of water into the container. In this case, on the contrary, the valve opens the water supply when its level in the tank approaches zero.

In full capacity, the float is at its highest point, as the water level drops, it goes down the rod. When the float rests against the lower stopper, under the influence of its gravity, the valve lever begins to fall. As a result, the faucet turns on and water flows. As the container fills, the float rises until it hits the upper stopper. Under the action of the buoyancy force of the water, the float moves the lever to its original position, after which the water supply stops. It is better to use a fishing line as threads for a float, since cables, strings and strings in the water can become unusable. You can also automate the inclusion of the shower. This will save water and make cleaning easier.

How to make a summer shower is shown in the video:

It is hot and stuffy in summer, so the most valuable source that will help give you strength and restore vigor is water. An outdoor shower can be arranged independently, and there are several options for arranging an outdoor shower, which differ in design, principle of operation and, of course, installation costs.

The advantages of a summer shower are that it does not require any costs. So, in the simplest shower, the water is heated by the sun. If you are on the wave of “unity with nature”, then the water in your summer shower must certainly be rain. Although, if there is a drought, you will need a device with which you will get your own water for the shower.

Making an outdoor shower

So, the most common way to equip a site with a summer shower is as follows.

A cabin is constructed separately from wood or plastic panels on metal case maybe even brick. A water tank is installed on the roof of the cabin. Accordingly, as we said above, water can flow into the tank naturally and also heat up (rain and heat from the sun), or it can be pumped using a separate hose from the general water supply system at home.A watering can is carried out from the tank into the shower cabin. If you want the used water to leave the site, then during the construction phase of the cabin you will have to lay a drain through which the water will leave. To do this, it is just enough to build a floor at a slight slope or make a drain grate in it in the center. The outflow of water is simply necessary if the shower is used more than twice a day. If you rarely use an outdoor shower, then the outflow of water can be attributed to the natural process of absorption of moisture by the earth. The approximate cost of such a summer shower will be from two to six thousand rubles.

An even simpler option is an outdoor shower that works on the principle of a pump. This option is the most economical and convenient. Such a summer showereasy to carry, which is especially beneficial for summer residents. So, a shower that works on the principle of a pump is also called a car shower. Its entire structure is simple. It consists of a pump, two hoses and a watering can. One end of the hose is lowered into any container with water, be it a bucket, a canister, etc. The pump in such designs is foot-operated, so you will have both hands free to wash yourself wholeheartedly. At the end of the other hose is a watering can or a simple water dispenser through which water flows. Actually, this is the whole summer shower, which you can also build yourself. And if you have an automatic pump, then, perhaps such a shower will be even more profitable than a summer shower cabin. The cost of a finished summer shower of this type with a foot pump costs about 500-700 rubles. The model with automatic "drive" is equivalent toprice range from $40 to $120.

If we consider that an outdoor shower is not a full-fledged shower, but a means with which you can freshen up, wash off the main dirt, then from this point of view there are many more options for arranging a “pseudo shower”. But they are all built according to the same principle, in which the source of water is above your head.

Summer shower - photo

You can easily make and equip a summer shower in the country with your own hands. Photos and dimensions, as well as recommendations for choosing a place for construction, you will find in this article. After all, there is nothing better summer heat than to freshen up with cool water, especially after active work on personal plot. With the onset of hot days, the presence of a shower in the country becomes relevant and necessary requirement. This factor is especially important if your house is under renovation, and plumbing communications have not yet been completed.

In any case, the interior space of the shower must be spacious so that the bathing person can comfortably accommodate himself and with him all the things necessary for this procedure. The most common parameters of country shower buildings are 2.5 meters high and 190/140-160/100 cm wide. It is necessary to plan the construction of a summer shower in the spring, at its very beginning, so that by the time summer comes it will be ready.

There are no particularly strict criteria regarding the arrangement of such a shower. With imagination and the ability to keep construction tools in your hands, you will be able to translate your ideas into reality and build such a necessary thing for giving. Depending on the complexity of the plan, it is possible to equip a simple outdoor shower in one day. A more detailed project will take more time, but it will also serve you for more than one year.

Shower for a summer residence, which place to choose for it

So that the water in the tank is not cold, it is more logical to place the shower building on the illuminated sunbeams place. If you prefer to take a shower in the afternoon or late afternoon, then you should choose a part of the site where the concentration solar activity seen in the afternoon. It is important that this place is protected from winds.

The second important factor is the availability of a drain for used water. A summer shower for a summer residence should be installed on a hill so that the water drains quickly and does not stagnate, attracting insects. The exploitation of any soul implies the use large quantities water, and if a lot of people will wash in it (a large family), then this nuance needs to be calculated and properly equipped.

If the capacity of your shower tank will be approximately 1-2 m³, then drain hole will definitely be needed. When arranging a place for water flow, its correct placement is important - in no case should it be located under the building itself. A sewer pit or a septic tank with drainage should be located at some distance from the booth, in turn, the slope should go in their direction.

The presence of a waterproof layer for drainage is highly desirable: hydrostekloizol, PVC film, roofing felt or concrete screed are suitable for this purpose. drainage pit should be located at a distance of at least 3 meters from the cabin, its depth should be 2.5-3 meters, the bottom is covered with gravel or a thick layer of sand. The top of the pit must be covered and fenced off.

How to make a shower in the country - an example of a simple design

There can be a great variety of options for this useful summer cottage - here the matter already depends on your creative approach. For example, we will consider the features of the "standard" version of the country summer shower.

The shower should be comfortable, so the smallest dimensions inner space should be at least 100 × 100 cm. Movement should not be constrained - a person should freely raise his hands and bend over in the process of ablution. It should also be highlighted small place for clothes and towels (cloakroom), 50-60 cm is enough for him. Thus, in the total footage, the size of the shower will be 160 × 100 cm and 2-3 m in height.

 • Install strong and reliable racks- this is your safety, since the tank filled with water for a summer shower has a huge weight. For this purpose, a wooden beam 100 × 100 is ideal.
 • It is better to dig the racks into the ground, having previously treated them with tar or a fat-containing agent. Pour them concrete mortar, by the way, will be the best.
 • For the container at the top, a horizontal platform should be equipped.
 • The cabin is made of any materials, the main thing is that it should hide the swimmer from prying eyes and protect from drafts.
 • Containers for a summer shower can be metal or plastic. It is worth considering that the metal tank will heat up faster, but it will also rust. In order for the water to heat up quickly, it is recommended to paint the tank with black paint.
 • If you make a frame over the tank and cover it with a plastic film, then the process of heating water will be much faster.
 • The valve for the tank can be anything, but a ball valve is most suitable.

The whole process begins with marking the perimeter of the future shower, the racks are installed at the corners and connected from above with a dressing from a similar beam. After that, there is a turn of the lower dressing, keep in mind that it should be located 10-15 cm from ground level.

To fasten all frame fragments, use long bolts - this will have a positive effect on the overall strength of the structure.

However, you can do it easier and install a metal or acrylic tray, while the water will be drained using a hose.

To ensure that the shower door closes tightly, use seals. The shower compartment and the dressing room can be separated by a special curtain, and it would be better if the threshold between these two compartments is somewhat high (to prevent water from flowing into a dry room).

The summer shower, as already mentioned, can be finished with absolutely any material on the outside. Lining, plastic, polycarbonate, moisture-resistant plywood, fiberboard, slate, metal sheets, siding - the main thing is that the building is in harmony with the rest of the buildings on the site.

It does not hurt to pre-open wooden materials with protective compounds.

If the frame is welded from metal, then it must also be coated with anti-corrosion agents or painted with paint.

In order for the water in the tank to heat up many times faster, rafters can be laid on top of the upper trim, and a sheet of roofing iron can be placed on top of them. The metal will reflect the rays of the sun, which will make the process of heating water more active.

Summer shower tank, which one to choose

Separately, it is worth paying attention to water tanks or shower tanks - their choice is determined by the individual requirements and preferences of the developer. They are small and large-capacity, flat and round, iron and plastic. The size of the tank depends on how many people will wash in this shower, often a volume of 100-200 liters is enough for an average family. As mentioned above, it is better to choose a tank of dark color or even black - so the water will heat up faster.

Such a container must have a lid so that various debris and insects do not get inside. At the very bottom of the tank, a tap outlet is mounted, to which a diffuser is screwed.

There is an important point here - the tap should be located on the lowest part of the tank, so that all the water drains from the tank and does not stagnate.

Equipping a summer shower with your own hands, you can purchase a ready-made tank in a specialized department of the building market. On sale there are also containers specifically for such showers, with all the necessary parts included.

If you have a suitable size metal or plastic barrel, then after certain manipulations it can turn out to be a completely acceptable shower tank. For these purposes, a hatch is cut out on top of the barrel laid on its side to fill the water, and it is processed acrylic enamel(or bath repair agent) from the inside - this applies to metal containers.

And you can not lay the barrel on its side. Everything is within your power if "hands grow from where it is necessary."

Also in this role, tanks from worn-out washing machines “act” well. Despite the fact that their volume is enough for 2 washes, they very quickly adapt to the shower tank, thanks to the presence of inlet and outlet pipes, as well as the necessary technical holes. Such tanks are not afraid of corrosion.

Equipping a summer shower in the country with your own hands, it is better to prepare photos and dimensions, as well as approximate drawings, in advance. So you will see all the working stages clearly and will be able to accurately calculate final result. With such a work plan in front of your eyes, you will know how much material you will need for external and interior decoration booths and drain pits.

Paying attention to the functional part, do not forget about aesthetics appearance your summer soul - everything should be not only comfortable, but also pleasing to the eye.
