Specialization: master in construction plasterboard structures, finishing works and laying floor coverings. Installation of door and window units, finishing of facades, installation of electrical, plumbing and heating - I can give detailed advice on all types of work.

IN modern conditions All more people work remotely, but those who go to the office every day periodically have the opportunity to work at home. Allocate for such purposes separate room Not everyone can, but it’s much easier to equip a study on a balcony or loggia. Yes, you will have to spend time and money, but you will have another full-fledged room instead of a place to store trash and seasonal items; you must agree, this is a very big plus.

Pros and cons of this solution

If you are still thinking about whether it is worth converting your balcony, then this small section will help you familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of such cabinets and make an informed decision.

Let's start with the advantages:

Additional usable space I mentioned this aspect above; you will have a few more square meters of living space that can be used not only for work, but also for relaxation. Just place an armchair or a small sofa - and you will have a relaxation area in your office where you can relax with an interesting book or a cup of coffee
Good ventilation For high productivity, intake is important fresh air into the room, and there are no problems with ventilation on the balcony; you just need to reach out and open the window. Naturally, when installing windows, you need to provide opening sashes in the places you need so that you are minimally distracted during the work process
Good natural light It is impossible to provide ideal working conditions without quality lighting. There are no problems with this on the balcony; moreover, if the room is located on the east or south side, then you need to provide curtains or blinds to limit the flow of light in sunny weather. Organize competent artificial lighting it will also not be difficult, because the area is small, and you need to allocate one or two places in the room
Good working conditions The balcony is most often located at a distance from the kitchen, corridor and other noisy rooms; this is very important for those who need silence to work. Here you can implement two options: either make the loggia combined with the room, if the noise does not bother you, or install a good balcony block, then you will get a space that is maximally protected from outside noise

As for the shortcomings, in my opinion there are only two of them:

  1. If your balcony was in disrepair, you will have to spend a lot of effort and money to turn it into a full-fledged office. To some, such costs seem too large, but if you are still inspired by such an idea, then you can do the work gradually, then you will not have to invest a lot of money at once, and in the end you will still get Personal Area;
  2. Sometimes the balcony area is not enough to equip a workplace. Personally, it seems to me that if you think through everything and use the space wisely, you can fit everything you need.

The process of converting a balcony into an office

As you might have guessed from the name, the whole work consists of six stages, each of which is required to be implemented if you want an excellent final result. I will consider the process from scratch, that is, the most difficult option when you have open balcony or a loggia without any glazing or insulation.

You need to familiarize yourself with all the information below and simply skip the work that you may already have done.

Stage 1 – glazing

If you have regular wooden frames, then it is better to replace them as well. Installation work is complex and responsible, so I strongly recommend entrusting it to professionals; you need to choose the best option.

When choosing, you should be guided by several recommendations:

  • It is necessary to purchase windows with good thermal insulation properties to middle zone plastic structures with double-glazed windows are well suited. Single windows used on cold balconies will not suit you;

  • Modern manufacturers offer options in different colors; if desired, the frames can be laminated to resemble wood to give them a more attractive look. appearance. Here you need to be guided only by your preferences, think about what you like most, because you will have to spend a lot of time in this room;
  • The size of the structures can also be different; some prefer to install options from floor to ceiling, while some, on the contrary, cover some of the openings with blind elements. You need to take into account all the features of your balcony and, based on this, select the optimal solution.

When ordering windows, pay the greatest attention to the profile manufacturer and the quality of the fittings; it is better to use products from Western brands, they are reliable and time-tested.

Stage 2 - wiring

An office is a room in which various office equipment can be installed; it also requires high-quality equipment. Therefore, you need to resolve the issue with power supply in advance; here you need to take into account several important nuances:

  • It is best to take the wiring out of the adjacent room to hide the cable; you can lay it in a groove, or you can cover it with finishing material. It all depends on how you will do the finishing, in the first case you will need a hammer drill with a special lance, and in the second you need to use a corrugated sleeve in which the wire is placed and which is laid behind exterior decoration or in a layer of insulation;

  • It is necessary to think in advance about the location of switches, lighting elements and sockets in order to make high-quality wiring. It's better to make an extra outlet that won't be used later than to trip over an extension cord or put a wire on top of the trim;

If you will be using an electric heated floor system, do not forget to connect the power wire to it as well.

  • In order not to confuse anything and not cause problems for those who do not understand electricity, I advise you to invite specialists to connect the wiring and plan it. This will ultimately be cheaper than reworking the entire system or eliminating the consequences of a short circuit.

Stage 3 – insulation

Unfortunately, standard designs most often they do not provide proper thermal insulation for balconies, so you will have to carry out the insulation work yourself. The process was described in detail by me in one of the articles, so here I will only touch on its main stages:

  • External walls are best insulated with extruded polystyrene foam 5 cm thick. This is a very reliable material with high thermal insulation performance, which is easy to use and allows you to achieve excellent result. To ensure the highest reliability, all cracks and joints must be filled with polyurethane foam, the excess of which is subsequently simply cut off;

  • On top of Penoplex, I recommend attaching Penofol, a new generation heat insulator with a reflective layer. It has a small thickness (only 5 mm) and has high performance. And the presence of a reflective layer allows you to retain heat much more effectively, so your balcony will become even warmer and more comfortable;
  • Walls that do not go outside, but are adjacent to a neighboring loggia or house, can be insulated with a layer of Penofol, this is quite enough. Fastening is done using wooden slats, I advise you to additionally cover the joints with metallized tape to ensure maximum reliability;

  • As for the floor on the balcony, it can be insulated different materials, again, I talked about some of the options in other reviews. You can use polystyrene foam, polystyrene foam, mineral wool, or you can lay a dry Knauf screed. The latter option is especially good if you need to raise the floor level by 10-15 cm and at the same time insulate it;

  • The easiest way to glue foam or extruded boards to the ceiling. You can use a special composition as glue, or you can use regular glue. polyurethane foam. For additional reliability, special dowels for thermal insulation are used, which have a pressure washer.

Stage 4 - heating

Even the best-quality insulation will not help completely protect you from the winter cold, and if you do the work yourself, you must take care of heating the space, there may be several solutions, you need to choose the optimal one:

  • If you want to install a regular heating radiator, then you will first have to coordinate this action with the supervisory authorities. Specialists must carry out the appropriate calculations, and if the design heating system allows you to remove the radiator, then you will be given permission, you will also have to redo the project and only after that you can begin work. If everything works out, then you will have stationary heating at minimal cost;

  • You can use an electric heated floor; this option is good because it does not need to be coordinated anywhere, and it is easy to implement. To work, you will need to purchase several ready-made modules, which are spread over the surface and connected as prescribed in the instructions. But this option is more expensive due to the high cost of electricity; to minimize costs, it is necessary to install thermostats so that they turn off the system when the required temperature is reached;

  • You can install an electric radiator on the loggia, which can be turned on as needed or equipped with a thermostat to maintain desired temperature. This solution is even simpler, because you just need to attach or even place the structure in the right place and plug it into an outlet. The main disadvantage is the same as in the paragraph above - the considerable cost of electricity;

  • A modern solution is the use of infrared heaters; they are mounted on the ceiling and are distinguished by the fact that they heat not the air, but all the surfaces to which they are directed. Such designs consume little energy, but perfectly heat small spaces, so they are ideal for balconies and loggias. They are easy to install, which is also important.

Stage 5 – finishing work

Sitting in shabby walls is not the best solution, so you need to carry out at least cosmetic repairs. If all the above points are met, then we will have a well-insulated and heated space, therefore, we can use any finishing materials.

I will tell you about those options that, in my opinion, are easiest to implement:

  • Before you make an office out of a balcony, you should think about its color scheme. The main requirement is that the environment should be such that you feel comfortable working in it. That's why with color design you need to decide in advance so that it doesn’t turn out that you are irritated by bright or, conversely, too dark walls;
  • It is best to use laminate for the floor; even those who have never done such work can install it. An additional advantage can be considered the fact that there are great amount textures and colors, so you can choose the best solution for any environment. Price square meter can range from 300 rubles and above, it is better not to use the cheapest options, choose products of at least the middle price segment;

  • As for the walls, here you are free to choose what you like. Can be used decorative plasters, you can use MDF panels or even, it also looks great. A very cozy working atmosphere can be created with the help of cork covering, but in general the choice is yours - the main thing is that the environment is conducive to work;

  • For the ceiling, the most optimal option, in my opinion, is tension structure . Firstly, it doesn’t cost that much, secondly, it will be delivered to you in just a couple of hours, and thirdly, almost no dust or dirt is generated during operation, and your finish will not be damaged. Big choice colors allows you to decorate the balcony the way you want, and the elasticity of the material will prevent it from being damaged by temperature changes or structural movements.

Stage 6 – organizing the workspace

If all the above steps are suitable for any balconies, regardless of what you want to make of them, then in order to turn the room into an office, you need to properly furnish it and think through the placement of all the elements.

This is exactly what we will talk about in this section:

  • First of all, you need to think about the design of the office on the balcony; for this you need to decide which elements must be present and what furniture you will need. You don’t need to be a designer to figure out this task; the Internet is full of photographs, and you can find the perfect idea for yourself or put together the best ones from several concepts. interesting solutions and create your own unique interior;

  • Then you need to draw a sketch of the future office; perfect lines and maximum accuracy are not needed. The main thing is to measure your space and calculate how much space you can allocate for a particular object. This way you will be able to clearly imagine the end result and understand what you need to purchase in order to create your personal office on the loggia;
  • It is worth considering what furniture elements will be needed to organize the work. Some people need a lot of drawers for storing papers, they also need to install a printer and fax, while others may work on simple table with a laptop. Don’t try to fill the space with furniture, you need to use only what you need, it will be much smarter and cheaper;

If you want to use the balcony not only as an office, but also for other purposes, then you can make the tabletop folding. When needed, you can unfold it, and the rest of the time it will not take up space.

  • As for places to store papers, it can be like drawers in the table and shelves on the walls. Choose what you like, but remember that shelves are cheaper and installing them is much easier than assembling a table with drawers. The size of the shelves depends on what will be stored on them, so think in advance about what you will stack and how much it will weigh;

  • Lighting is another important aspect, it is better if you have both general system, and a separate lamp that will shine on workplace. The most convenient options are adjustable options or small structures located directly above the desktop. This is much more effective and allows you to achieve the best effect;

  • It is very important to provide protection against sunlight, if it shines in the eyes, it is unlikely to contribute to the work. The easiest way is to use blinds, but if you don’t like this option, then you can choose Roman blinds or another similar option, the main thing is to ensure good protection from sunlight;

  • You also need to purchase a comfortable chair; it should be suitable in height to the table and not clutter up the entire space. If you have a work area on two or even three sides, then it is most convenient to use rotating options.

In principle, there is nothing complicated in the design, the main thing is that all the elements are combined with each other and ensure convenient operation. It is better to order furniture according to individual sizes so that it fits perfectly into the space; try to choose lightweight rather than massive structures; they will look much better in a small room. Use decorative elements to make the space feel cozy.

Conclusion

Office on the balcony - great idea for an apartment, you'll have a quiet place to work without your family having to tiptoe around to avoid distracting you. The main thing is to carry out all the work described above so that you get a full-fledged room with good insulation and heating.

The video in this article will help you understand individual nuances even better, and if you still have questions, you can write them in the comments below.

If you want to express gratitude, add a clarification or objection, or ask the author something - add a comment or say thank you!

You don’t have space in your apartment to set up a work area, and your balcony is used as a storage room? There is nothing easier than creating an office right on your balcony. As a result, you will have a beautiful, well-kept balcony, equipped as a homemade office.

Surely you are wondering: how to make an office out of a balcony with your own hands? Before answering this question, it is worth thinking about insulating the balcony, since you will spend time on it not only in summer, but also in winter, so tightness, proper insulation with glazing and heating are paramount tasks. Next, decorate the walls and ceiling, purchase furniture for the office, which should be as compact and comfortable as possible.

Having thought through all the steps from construction work to decoration in detail, you will achieve your goals with maximum accuracy. If you don’t know how to arrange a work office on the balcony, the photos presented at the bottom of the article will help you decide on a design choice.

In order to create the office of your dreams on the loggia, you first need to make a list of works related to the insulation of the room, heating options, finishing and furnishings. Then you need to decide on a budget. It will be much more profitable to carry out complex repairs yourself, but if there is a question about installing heated floors and double-glazed windows, in this case you should turn to professionals for help.

If you decide to create a living area on the loggia, you should take care of proper insulation. After all, the office does not imply seasonal work, when it is warm, but year-round work. Accordingly, you should be comfortable regardless of the time of year. If you plan to insulate the loggia on both sides, contact professionals who will carry out high-quality construction works. If you can’t do it, then internal insulation It is recommended to approach the balcony with all responsibility.

Organization of a workplace on the balcony

We insulate the walls and ceiling

Since the loggia is small in size, in order to save space, the material for insulation should not be chosen as thick and as dense as possible. Penofol, which has already proven itself well in practice, is perfect for this. It does not emit harmful fumes, is thin and easy to install. After all the cracks are covered glue mixture, you can safely lay penofol on the surface, securing it with mushroom dowels. The next stage of work is laying an insulating layer with a vapor barrier, after which you can begin laying the electrical wiring.

We insulate the floor

Even in a cool room you can feel cozy if you put your feet on a warm floor. Therefore, floor heating on a loggia is one of the most convenient and best solutions for heating this type of room. There are several options for installing heated floors; you choose what is most convenient for you.

For example, a film infrared heating system. The system is laid on a screed with an insulating layer. Infrared heating involves laying on top parquet board or laminate. If you have made your choice on natural stone or tiles, then a reinforcing mesh must be laid over the film system, which is then poured cement mortar– screed. After this, you can safely lay the selected material.

If you decide not to resort to floor heating with any systems, you can use the same penofol for insulation. To do this, you must first secure the material to balcony slab, then fill it with cement mortar 5 cm thick, and for finishing you can use carpet. This flooring will create unique comfort and coziness in the interior of the future office, and will be an excellent solution as insulation.

Mini office on the balcony

Attention! Treat the insulation of the balcony with due attention, check that all work has been carried out efficiently.

We heat the loggia

Because central heating It is unlikely that it will be possible to bring it out onto the loggia (for this you need to obtain permission from the relevant services), experts advise choosing a heating option such as modern electric heaters. They are equipped with a thermostat that responds to even slight changes in temperature, so there is no risk of excess energy consumption. Moreover, they are characterized by a thoughtful design and can easily fit into the interior of your work area.

Another plus is that they do not dry out oxygen. Today, the market offers a lot of options with the possibility of installing floor-standing equipment and even with the option of mounting it on the ceiling, which allows you to avoid cluttering up the space.

Selecting a design for your future office

The main goal of this stage of work is the selection of materials for decorating the space. Don't choose dark ones color solutions, as they visually reduce the space. Also don't stop at motley color scheme with large drawings. This is fun on the one hand, but on the other it is very stressful and distracts from work.

Designers advise decorating a small room according to the principle of dividing it into zones. For example, this can be done using two options for wall decoration: the work area can be made in beige and brown tones using brick or wood texture, and the relaxation area can be in any of the calm shades.

Options for wall decoration:

  • use as painting acrylic paint(if the walls and ceiling are covered with plasterboard);
  • gluing wallpaper onto a pre-leveled surface;
  • surface decoration using decorative wood panels.

Arrangement of the work area

Since your balcony will be used as a work office in the future, you need to decide where the computer will be located. This often involves installing a computer desk. For small rooms A compact design is also suitable, which allows you to place everything you need, since our primary task is not to clutter the balcony, but to make it as comfortable, cozy and, most importantly, spacious as possible.

Workplace on the balcony - design option

If your loggia is spacious enough, in addition to the work area, you can also add a small library by installing a book rack near or opposite the workplace. Also on the same balcony you can part of the zone by installing a small soft sofa and a coffee table.

A pleasant bonus of the spacious loggia is that you can install an executive chair near the computer desk. But if you are limited in space, then you can use the tabletop by cleverly shaping the window sill, or attach it to the wall, and use a comfortable chair with a back instead of a chair.

It is better to choose a small and compact desktop with many drawers and shelves. If you cannot install a computer desk on the balcony the way you want, you can get by with a tabletop attached to the wall.

Do not forget that the workplace should not only be ergonomic, but also comfortable. Therefore, under no circumstances should you feel cramped or uncomfortable. You will quickly get tired of this, and the office and work will no longer be a joy.

Pay careful attention to the furniture selection stage. Not only the interior design, but also a comfortable stay in the workplace will depend on what furniture you choose.

Racks, shelves for books or documents are best located near the work area. Moreover, place them so that you can easily reach them.

An important factor is the lighting of the room. Besides general lighting room - spotlight or chandelier, it is necessary to install individual lighting above the desktop, for example, table lamp so that you and your eyes can work comfortably in the dark.

Setting up a recreation area

Agree that installing a small one for relaxation is great, but it’s even better if the footage of your balcony allows it. And even if you are limited in the size of the room, you should not deny yourself this. After all, even by installing a small chair on the balcony, you can relax and relieve stress by listening to birdsong or turning on relaxing music. It will be equally pleasant to sit in a chair with a magazine or book and a cup of coffee. In the recreation area you can place several flower pots or a tree; they also have a beneficial effect on nervous system, calm and relax. By caring for flowers and watering them, you are distracted from work for a while.

Relaxation area on the balcony

Thus, by arranging a loggia for an office yourself, you get a separate workplace created by you and decorated based on your taste preferences. In addition, you will have free up space in your apartment if you previously occupied the living space with office equipment and other work attributes.

We decorate the windows

Considering that the windows on the balcony and loggia are large, the room is well lit during the daytime. But if the windows face sunny side, then this can significantly complicate work, for example, at a computer. To avoid this, it is worth installing on the windows roller blinds, blinds or Roman blinds. This solution will allow you not to clutter up the space, and they will cope with their function perfectly.

Manicure room on the balcony

Not only a work office with folders, shelving, documents and a computer can be implemented on the balcony.

There are a lot of options and solutions on how to design a space for a sewing work area, a mini-hair salon, a make-up artist’s office, a massage therapist and, of course, manicure salon. The latter is extremely profitable to implement on the balcony, since if the master receives clients at home, the smells from acrylic, gel extensions, and varnishes will not spread throughout the apartment.

A manicure room on a loggia, photos of which are presented in the gallery of our website, involves installing a table and two chairs on the sides for the master and the client. You also need to take care of table lighting.

Design of the working area of the manicure room on the balcony

If you provide pedicure services, you should take care of a comfortable chair for the client and no less comfortable for yourself. You can decorate the office with green plants, paintings, install a built-in wardrobe or rack for equipment, music that will relax clients, and decorate the windows with curtains.

By creating an office on the balcony, carefully thinking through the design of the room, based on your own preferences, you will create a comfortable, complete and cozy office at home, where you will be happy to spend work and free time.

A small space on a balcony or glassed-in loggia... it would seem, what can you come up with there? But no, there are a lot of ideas for decorating a balcony, and even if it’s an insulated one!

We will look at one of these ideas, namely, how to turn a balcony into a cozy, secluded office, where neither a grumpy wife nor noisy children will bother you.

Since Soviet times, it has been customary to store all sorts of rubbish on the balcony. Moreover, sometimes even the owner himself does not know what is there.

It is not uncommon for a broken ski, a rusty tricycle, or a selection of magazines to be found among the many items safely forgotten on a balcony or loggia. Young technician", a jar of pickles that has long been bloated, a vintage bag and a mink hat half eaten by moths...

Yes, what wasn’t there! Probably the only thing that could not be seen on the balcony was perfect order.

My name is Alena Tyshman and today I will tell you how to use a glazed balcony wisely - as functionally and aesthetically attractive as possible.

The first step towards your dream: redecorating your balcony

To design an office on the balcony, it is better to glaze it and, if possible, provide heating. If you can wait a bit with heating, then glazing the future room is a must!

Windows will prevent dust and precipitation from entering the room, and will also protect against significant temperature fluctuations in the off-season.

An economical option that can be used instead of heating is to insulate the balcony using penoplex, penofol or polystyrene foam. Don't forget to insulate the floor too.

The cosmetic decoration of a glazed balcony involves various variations, depending on your preferences, taste and, of course, financial situation.

Any finishing materials suitable for living rooms, it’s quite possible to use it here too. Literally: wallpaper, lining, cork, painting - absolutely everything is suitable for the balcony!

The main rule in balcony design: use light color palette and glossy surfaces. After all, the room is small, so it’s worth visually enlarging it further.

The balcony-office should also be well lit and equipped with additional power points (sockets). On initial stage cosmetic repairs The future office needs to think through this aspect.

The second step to a cozy office on the balcony: buying or making custom-made furniture

Naturally, it is not so easy to buy furniture for the balcony. Standard products are unlikely to fit perfectly into such a small room. Therefore, you will have to make custom-made furniture.

Before you go to a furniture company, try to think for yourself about what exactly you want to see in your office on the balcony.

Furniture elements that help to functionally manage the space on the balcony:

Desk (computer)

For a balcony, it is enough to install only the table top, supplementing it with a pull-out shelf for the keyboard. This way you will save money on materials and will not clutter up an already small space.

Bookshelves

There are two main options for bookshelves on the balcony:
  1. independent shelves above the table;
  2. bookcase on opposite wall relative to the table.

Drawers for papers, stationery and other things

If the office on the balcony is supposed to have a table without legs (exclusively a tabletop), then you can make a special mobile cabinet (bedside table on wheels) for the drawers. Or, place several independent drawers above/under the desk.

Shelves for office equipment

The overall size of the shelves and their actual placement depends on the equipment that will presumably be present in the office on the balcony.

Be sure, before ordering furniture for the balcony, measure all the devices and provide the dimensions to the designer.

The more open shelves, closed cabinets, drawers and mobile furniture - the more practical, comfortable and tidy the office on the balcony is.

Use the space above your desk, under your desk, on the walls and even on the floor, but don't forget to leave room for easy access and movement around the office.

Photo selection: 25 best ideas

At the end of the article, I offer you a photo selection of the best, in my opinion, solutions for decorating an office on the bank.

Office on the balcony for a teenager

Office on the balcony in the living room

(modena select=138, Offices > find out the price and order)

The disdainful attitude towards balconies has been preserved in our memory since Soviet times. Empty pickle jars, broken skis and grandma's felt boots often become objects of ridicule by comedians on television. We will find out below how to turn a place for storing unnecessary things into a useful space on your own.

Organizing a workplace on the balcony is a very popular solution when there is a lack of living space. The presence of natural light makes it especially attractive for organizing an insulated home office or workspace for schoolchildren.

The alteration can be carried out in 2 ways:

  1. Keep the office as a separate room. This option is preferable if the balcony is in a common room. An isolated space will provide silence for work.
  2. Combine a loggia and a room. Suitable when there is a need to create a workplace, but insulation of the office is not required. For example, if you are creating a seamstress workshop or a manicure salon. In any case, it all depends on your personal needs.

Transforming a loggia into a writing or work office will have to start with the most dusty and boring work. Clear the room of trash and take it out old furniture. We ruthlessly get rid of the old sheathing. Before insulating the balcony, it is necessary to close all cracks with sealant.

Choose your window units responsibly. Opt for double or triple glazing. They will increase the sound insulation of the workplace and save heat. Consider the location of the handles and the rotation of the window sashes.

You must have access to the outside of the glass when cleaning. Open frames should not clutter up the space.

Decide on the location of electric lighting devices, choose a place for switches, main and additional lighting, sockets, as a rule, you will need several of them. Don't forget to have access to wireless internet or cable connection. Performance electrical installation work requires certain skills and qualifications.

Practical office on the loggia

The main step towards making your dream come true is thermal insulation of the room. Please take this point seriously. It is this stage of work that is fundamental for a comfortable stay in the room. Manufacturers offer a wide range of thermal insulation materials.

In order to do right choice, study the properties of classic and modern thermal insulators offered by manufacturers:

  1. The lower the thermal conductivity coefficient, the better material will save warm air in room. Polyurethane foam has very low thermal conductivity.
  2. A material with good waterproofing properties does not get wet and is not afraid of moisture. Mineral wool, when exposed to moisture, it loses its thermal conductivity properties and becomes heavy. This adds additional weight to the balcony structure.
  3. Thermally resistant materials will prevent fire. Polystyrene has high flammability properties.
  4. Save precious centimeters, choose insulation with a small volume. Penofol is one of the thinnest modern insulation materials.
  5. Ease of installation will be provided by rolls and block slabs. This installation can be done independently, without special skills.
  6. Choose environmentally friendly and safe formulations that do not contain toxic or harmful substances.

Do not save money on insulating your balcony. Trying to choose the cheapest or quick option, you risk returning to this problem in a short time. When choosing a heating system, it is better to choose electric convectors or a heated floor system. You can install an electric fireplace, or infrared heaters. Bringing steam heating to the loggia is sometimes impossible, and in some cases, it may attract the attention of supervisory authorities.

Please note that the heating system may require additional maintenance during operation and monthly payment costs.

The final stage of rough finishing is the choice of material for the walls and ceiling. You can limit yourself to traditional drywall, clapboard or washable plastic panels. The choice depends on personal preference and functional purpose loggias. Choose shades of laminate or linoleum, taking into account the future design of the room.

Stylish cabinet design on the loggia: photos and examples

When creating an interior on the balcony, remember that this area is visually a continuation of the room. Work zone should fit harmoniously into the room in terms of colors and decorative items.

Choose as your main color:

  1. Calm and light shades. They will help to visually expand the space and fill it with air.
  2. Deep and dark colors in small rooms create a feeling of heaviness and crampedness.
  3. Large surfaces with toxic colors tire the eyes.
  4. To add bright spots, use accessories - eye-catching pictures, soft pillows, plants. They speak about a person’s character and give individuality.
  5. Liven up your workspace with a pot of flowers and a couple of sweet souvenirs.

Light curtains, blinds or roller blinds will protect from direct rays of the sun and hide your personal space from the prying eyes of strangers. The material should be practical and easy to care for. "Clothing" for windows can dissolve into overall design cabinet, or turn into an elegant decoration.

Do not clutter the balcony with massive furniture. Get rid of deep closets. Replace your old chair with a comfortable ergonomic chair.

Do-it-yourself benches, lightweight hanging shelving, and retractable surfaces fit perfectly into the interior of the loggia. You can purchase custom-made furniture. If you have the skills and desire, it will be nice to make some parts yourself.

We put the computer on the balcony

The computer can be placed at the end of the balcony. In this case, it is better to place the computer desk across the entire width of the room. Window sills can be used as a working surface. If the loggia is combined with a room, give the functional load to the dividing post between the room and the office.

Place at arm's length bookshelves and stationery. This will improve the ergonomics of the workplace and reduce wasted time while working. The computer desk should not be located directly at the entrance, so as not to interfere with free access to the office.
