Summer kitchen combined with a bath - photos and projects. Exclusivity and cost-effectiveness of combined buildings: projects of various structures under one roof

The buildings

In the magazine “House in the Garden” No. 12 of 2011, today I read: “We really want to build a bathhouse with summer kitchen and a rest room under one roof ... ”from reader M. Pavlova, Cheboksary.

In response, the specialist of the journal, an expert candidate of technical sciences, associate professor of Moscow State University of Civil Engineering Oleg Sanko wrote: “The construction of a multifunctional facility under one roof is always associated with the loss of one of the interested parties. Your plans are an excellent illustration of this. When asked where to place a bath on the site, there can be only one answer: as far as possible from domestic buildings. The bathhouse is an object of increased fire hazard. Therefore, we place the bathhouse at the farthest end of the site.

  1. What kind of comfort is it if you run across the entire site to drink tea;
  2. it turns out that we build a bathhouse separately only with a steam room, without a rest room, and we go to rest again at the other end of the site in a separate summer kitchen?
  3. a modern bath is a whole complex of rooms for soaring, washing and relaxing with tea drinking and possible birthday celebrations, receiving guests, for this you need a kitchen in the bath. The kitchen in the bath complex can be used on weekdays as a summer kitchen.
  4. The fire hazard of the bath is not at all higher than that of a residential building with a wood-burning stove.

I already had an article about the fact that bathhouses used to be set up in the villages at the far end of the site, and I argued why it was like this before and how they build it in our time.

Times are different now, construction technology is different. So let's build according to modern views for life: comfortable and convenient!

Let's imagine that the site, even if it's 15 acres, like mine. There is a good solid house. It has a bath or shower with all modern bells and whistles. But, the owners really want bath with kitchen and a relaxation room!

If, even on weekends, the whole family gathers or the owners like to invite guests, then God himself ordered the bath to be made a guest house, where you can not only take a steam bath, drink tea, relax, but also create a Sunday lunch or dinner. Gather at the big table all together - the day off! And at night, leave the guests in a wooden house, where you breathe so easily and sleep as if you had not slept all week. After a night in a wooden house, in the morning a person gets up rested, as if born again.

It makes sense next to such a guest house (with a rest room and living rooms in the attic) put another canopy with a summer stove, with a barbecue. Such a structure will only add comfort and romance to summer evening gatherings after a fruitful Sunday bathing day.

By zonality, a canopy with a barbecue belongs to the recreation area. Bath too! Therefore, they must be in the same recreation area.

Some of the guests have already left the bathhouse satisfied and want to drink tea on fresh air,a someone else continues to soar in the bath. For example, men, of course, always go to steam in the first steam-heat. A women's team all the same, he prefers comfort, coziness, chirping about his own, about women's in the bathhouse. While women are in the bath, men can do men's things: cook the famous kebabs or Ferghana pilaf according to the recipes of Stalik Khankishiyev.

If there is no shed with a summer stove or just a barbecue (for example, there is not enough space on the site for such a large number buildings), then you can get by with a kitchen and a rest room in the bath itself. That is why it is desirable that everything be under one roof! Comfortable, convenient for rest with the whole family and numerous guests!

I agree with the magazine's expert in that part that a bathhouse with a kitchen and a rest room (it is also possible with an attic living room) is best built at the other end of the site from a residential building, not only because of its fire hazard, but because both structures: a residential building and bathhouses are different in style and in the materials used during construction. Structures of different styles should be placed in different zones of the site. For example, a brick two-story residential building should be located closer to the red building line, but not closer than 8m (there is such a standard in urban planning). A wooden guest house with a bath does not match the style of a brick residential building, so we are building it at the other end of the site.

We organize around the guest wooden house (baths with kitchen) mine landscape design and their functional buildings, such as a gazebo or a canopy made of wood. It is desirable to isolate these two zones (a residential building and a bath complex) from each other:

  • a hedge of sufficient height;
  • a small garden of several apple trees;
  • a number of consecutively arranged flower beds and pergolas.

The landscape around the bath with a kitchen can be in a landscape style.

There should be its own landscape zone around the brick residential building. I prefer it to be a regular landscape style, since a brick two-story house is solidity itself. In addition, the passage area from the gate to the house in a regular style is like business card hosts.

Near the house, if the size of the plot allows, you can build a separate summer kitchen (if the owners want to have several kitchens on their site!).

If a summer stove is simply needed near the bathhouse under a canopy, or at least a barbecue for barbecue, then the summer kitchen is mainly necessary for the owners to Everyday life in hot summer period. It must be equipped with a gas or electric stove, kitchen furniture. You need to bring water to it and remove the kitchen sewer. And it is best to build it in the same style as a residential building. It can be used as a stand-alone structure, or as an addition to the house.

But, you will not need a summer kitchen if, when building your house, you think over the option of exiting the courtyard from the dining room or kitchen of the house in advance. Right at the exit, make a small patio, where it is very cozy to have dinner and relax in the fresh coolness of the evening air.

As you can see, there are a lot of options for comfortable arrangement of your site.

Bath with kitchen- this is the most necessary structure that needs to be built on the site in the first place, at least so that during the period of the main construction (residential brick house) wooden house could serve you both as a summer kitchen and as a temporary living space.

The project of a summer kitchen with a bath should provide for the convenience of the location of all areas of the building, from the dressing room to the steam room and cooking area.

Almost all life activity with the end of the long winter months is transferred from apartments to suburban space. The traditional Russian love for the bath does not fade away over the years, but expands the ways of its expression. Now popular construction projects on own plots houses "with all conveniences" for civilized rest and communication. They are placed under the same roof with a bath, getting a kind of relaxation complex, where you can combine couple procedures that are pleasant for the body with tea or barbecue. And on days free from bathing ceremonies, you can make supplies for the winter there, enjoying communication with nature and loved ones. Typical and individual projects such versatile buildings are in incredible demand. They are quite affordable and easy to implement independently.

From idea to realization

Choosing a project should start with a clear idea of what you want to see under one roof. In practice, no one is limited only to the kitchen and the bath; other zones are added to the overall ensemble that increase the level of comfort. Most often it includes:

  • locker room
  • steam room;
  • rest room;
  • washing;
  • bathroom (shower, toilet);
  • open terrace.

If there is space, you can additionally design guest rooms. It is important to correctly plan their location in order to avoid unnecessary fuss when moving from one room to another, an unreasonable waste of effort and energy.

It also does not hurt to thoroughly think over the planning and alternation of auxiliary areas (cloakroom, dressing room, corridor, firewood warehouse), remembering that their use should be convenient.

The nuances of fitting into the landscape

The rational positioning of the summer kitchen on the site provides several additional advantages. It is more logical to arrange the entrance to the bath and open veranda from the warmer south side, and the rest room from the cool north. Proximity to the neighboring plot suggests the presence of a fence or green spaces that hide the terrace away from prying eyes. And in order to avoid surprises from the fire services, it is worth following their simple instructions, not placing baths closer than 5 ̶ 12 meters to residential buildings.

Material selection

Despite the seeming limited types of building materials for the summer kitchen, making a choice is not so easy: similar kitchen projects combined with a bathhouse have long outgrown the rank of an outbuilding. Their implementation will require the use of wood, brick, panels, metal and heat-resistant glass. For cladding and finishing, you will need modern steam, waterproofing materials, insulation and fire retardant impregnations.

The heart of the idea is the hearth

The core of the project is a harmonious combination of two functional parts: baths and kitchens. Their connecting link can be a stove-heater, which will heat the steam room and serve as a stove for cooking at the same time. Another option involves the installation in each of these rooms of a separate heating element. Often, a whole complex is installed in the summer kitchen. cooking equipment for barbecue: barbecues, braziers, grill ovens, mini-smoking sheds, pilaf boilers - if there is space, it is technically possible to implement any project.

As for the bath, the heater remains the most popular type of stove, although if you wish, you can get by with a metal “potbelly stove”. A brick oven is not a simple structure; it may require a separate foundation.

Engineering network systems

All projects of summer kitchens provide for competent summing up of engineering communications:

  • electrical networks;
  • water supply;
  • water disposal;
  • ventilation.

You can’t do without the services of an electrician, but it’s quite feasible even for a non-professional to make plumbing and sewage wiring in the kitchen. Easy welding polypropylene pipes provide water supply and drainage in the kitchen, washing room and toilet. Everyone has their own drainage system on the site: a well or autonomous septic tank, less often centralized sewerage. At the very beginning, it is necessary to provide for the installation of a water seal - special valve to prevent odors from entering drain well back to the bathroom and kitchen.

Next important element a favorable microclimate in the structure of this type of kitchen is ventilation. It can be natural (a system of inlets and outlets) or electronic and will avoid air stagnation, high humidity and mold growth.

Many people want a bathhouse, a wide veranda, big house, gazebo, summer kitchen, garage and much more. However, firstly, the area of the land plot does not always allow you to build whatever you want, and secondly, it is financially expensive to build a separate bathhouse, summer kitchen, garage, etc. There is a solution, you can combine outbuildings under one roof, for example, a bathhouse with a summer kitchen are well adjacent to each other. Let's talk about projects of such buildings.

What should be in a bath with a kitchen?

Everyone sees the project of a bath, connected with a kitchen under one roof, in their own way. One can be content with a combined building with an area of 30 square meters. m, where there will be a small steam room, a small dressing room and a terrace with a barbecue and a table. For another, a combined building is unthinkable without a large steam room, heating room, rest room, eating area, font and kitchen. In general, the basic requirements for a bath combined with a kitchen are moderate for people and boil down to the fact that such a building should have:

  • a steam room, preferably spacious, so that at least one person can freely lie on the shelves;
  • a shower room where one could rinse after visiting the steam room;
  • dressing room, where one could freely put a sofa and chairs with a table;
  • a closed dressing room, at least a small one, so that one person can go in and change clothes calmly;

For your information! A small closed changing cabin located in the dressing room will make your life much easier if you plan to visit the steam room with a heterosexual company.

  • a cooking zone, in other words, a place where one could put a barbecue, oven, barbecue, countertop, sink, in general, everything that is needed for cooking;
  • dining area, that is, a place where this food could be consumed. The dining area should be spacious enough to accommodate a large table and chairs.

The above list already allows you to get an idea of the future summer kitchen with a bath. To reinforce this view, we consider finished projects such buildings and perhaps you still mature to build something similar on your site. If you are interested in the question, you can read the article of the same name on our website.

Examples of buildings up to 40 m 2

Found a free corner on your land plot, you can build on it a small, but very functional summer kitchen, combined with a bath area of up to 40 square meters. m. We present to your attention ready-made projects of such buildings, you will probably “take into service” some of this.

V this case in the picture above you see a summer kitchen project combined with a bathhouse and a terrace. The total building area is 32.34 m 2 . Despite its small size, this facility has everything you need for a full wash, rest and cooking.

There is a small steam room, the project contains it exact dimensions 2400x2450 mm. A shower room of the same size adjoins the steam room. There is a summer kitchen 4200x3400 mm, divided into two functional areas: cooking and recreation. And of course, there is a small terrace 4200x1500 mm, where you can go out, get some air or have a smoke break.

And this is a great project. small bath with a summer kitchen, which will occupy an area of only 22.08 sq. m., a very good option for giving and material for construction will take a little. The dimensions of the entire building are 4800x4600 mm. A structure is being built from a bar, wooden board and slats. There are quite a few similar kitchens with baths, since everything you need can be placed in such a limited space:

  • steam room or sauna;
  • dressing room or dressing room;
  • kitchen area and living room;
  • veranda.

Note! The sketch shown in the figure above clearly shows that in one small room there was a living room with corner sofa and a dining table, and in the corner is well placed gas stove, sink and work surface.

Saunas with a kitchen more than 40 m 2

Those who like to relax in comfort will have to allocate a larger area for a bath with a summer kitchen. In this case, there are no restrictions. There are projects with an area of 45, 50, 60 or even 80 and 100 m2. Such dimensions are worthy of a spacious residential building, not like a bathhouse with a summer kitchen. Here are examples of spacious buildings that combine a bath or sauna with a summer kitchen.

In the figure above, a bath with a kitchen area of 45.19 m 2. The whole building is divided into two parts: closed and open. In the closed part there is a steam room, a washing room, a toilet, a rest room and a vestibule, but the open part consists of spacious terrace and kitchen areas. It is noteworthy that in this unique sauna combined with a kitchen, the cooking zone and the firebox are located nearby. The fact is that the stove in this case is used for cooking and at the same time for heating the heater located in the steam room - very convenient and economical.

Well, this spacious bath with a kitchen area has the size of a small residential building of 51.7 square meters. m. In the closed part of the building there is a fairly spacious shower room, a steam room, a spacious dressing room, it is also a rest room, a bathroom and a vestibule. Under the open shed there is a stove, barbecue, barbecue and a large table with chairs. The structure is made of glued laminated timber - it is environmentally friendly pure material, which perfectly keeps heat, which is very valuable for a bath.

This project features a huge sauna with a swimming pool and a summer kitchen. The largest room with a pool is 32.3 m 2 , and the entire building has an area of 94.5 m 2 . The second largest is the rest room, combined with the kitchen. The last one is given a small corner, and the rest of the space is given to the sofa and dining table. The steam room in this case is wonderful, spacious and conveniently located next to the rest room. There is also a shower room, toilet, pump room, vestibule and a fairly large terrace.

For your information! There are two entrances to this room at once, one from the side of the pool, and the other from the side of the terrace.

You can see a much less grandiose bath in the figure above. Its area is 66.24 sq. m. In the corner of the building there is a steam room, next to a shower room, a rest room and a vestibule. The vestibule opens onto a terrace of 15 sq. m. It has a brazier and a round dining table, where you can eat freshly cooked shish kebab right in the fresh air. The bathhouse was built entirely from calibrated logs and looks just great.

So, no matter what project you choose, remember that a bathhouse with a summer kitchen is filled not with chic furnishings, but with the warmth of the hearts of your friends and relatives. Arrange holidays for yourself and your loved ones more often, and a spacious sauna is just a means to make yourself and others a little happier!

The traditional view of construction involves the separate placement of a bathhouse, gazebos, lounges and a summer kitchen. However, it is human nature to strive for perfection, so today this view is definitely outdated.

You can easily find a variety of summer kitchen projects with a sauna in one package, moreover, you can also include a garage, a gazebo and even a residential superstructure in the set. This solution is not only more convenient, but also more profitable.

Advantages of joint projects

Savings and convenience

As you can see in the photo, not only a bathhouse and a summer kitchen, but also a terrace with a lounge are collected under one roof. What is the advantage of such projects?

And there are many advantages:

  • Construction is carried out on one common foundation, which is cheaper than on several separate ones;
  • All rooms have common roof, which is much cheaper than several separate roofs;
  • Spend a lot less building materials than in construction separate bath, gazebos and summer kitchens. This means that the price of goods purchased in smaller quantities also decreases;
  • There is no need to build a system of paths connecting free-standing buildings;
  • In summer, the terrace turns into a kitchen, where cooking is much more pleasant thanks to the open air;
  • The building is stylistically and architecturally integral, which is not always possible when building two or more buildings;
  • The general heating system saves energy resources;
  • You do not need to move to another room for tea, rest or sleep;
  • It is convenient to receive guests, especially in the summer;
  • It is much easier to provide drainage and sewerage for such a room;
  • General electrical network;
  • General water supply;
  • A much smaller piece of land is required than with the construction of individual buildings;
  • Saving time required for construction and finishing work.

Availability of project documentation

Note! We live in the era of the accomplished information revolution, and today almost any information is available. Therefore, there is no longer a need to overpay impressive funds for design.

You can do this:

  1. Independently study the principles of working with architectural graphic editors, which perform the lion's share of routine work on the calculation of the compatibility of elements, loads, location bearing walls, choice of roof types, etc. As a result, you will be able to create your own building completely from scratch.
  2. Find a standard project that suits you on the net and use it. This is a win-win situation, as you will be able to find feedback from people who have experience in implementing such a project and find out what awaits you and what are the shortcomings.
  3. Hire a freelance designer. This will allow you to work with a specialist directly, which is many times cheaper than through an intermediary in the person construction company. You can also hire a consultant to oversee the construction if you decide to do it yourself.

Availability of communication

Another benefit of the Information Age is the incredibly advanced communications network. On the Internet, you can find thousands of topical sites with a public forum where you can ask questions and get answers online.

And often there are competent specialists and experienced builders, whose opinion is worth a lot. And all this is completely free! Agree, we live in an amazing time, but we ourselves do not fully understand what opportunities are open to us.

In addition to live communication, you can find a lot on such resources. useful information: this can be a tutorial video, step-by-step instruction with photographs, a report on the successful construction. In this case, you will most likely be able to ask questions that interest you directly to the authors of these materials.

Features of modern projects

In addition to availability, modern projects another characteristic: with apparent complexity and external beauty, they are all simplified and unified as much as possible. Roof "Envelope", covering the steam room, terrace, lounge and hallway, frames on aluminum profile, shutters to protect against mosquitoes or the sun, a wooden floor that warms the feet.

All elements are thought out taking into account the experience accumulated by a person in construction country houses and cottages. Buildings are designed with modern requirements in terms of energy efficiency and functionality, everything is in its optimal place, there is nothing superfluous.

Conclusion

Gone are the days when knowledge was passed from father to son. Today, any information can be bought, and at a reasonable price. Moreover, it can be found for free in the public domain.

This also applies to construction: there is no longer any need to pay huge fees construction companies, you can hire people directly, use standard projects, consult in real time with builders on forums and chats. Of course, this approach will not work for a serious project, but for construction country house, summer kitchen and baths - this is what you need.

Wooden baths with a summer kitchen and a terrace for relaxation

Combined bath and summer kitchen can become great place for friendly gatherings and quiet family pastime. While one person is preparing barbecue, the other can take a steam bath in the bath - another convenience of using such a layout.

One more example wooden bath with a summer kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need

In projects of this type, the summer kitchen usually acts as a dressing room, and the kitchen stove plays the role of a heater in the sauna room itself. Both structures are equipped with a common one. For a summer residence, it will be very convenient to have an option in which the bath is combined not only with the kitchen, but also with the bathroom (this will require a common drain with the bathroom). The washing room will have to be equipped in such a way that the water completely goes into the sewer. To prevent unpleasant odors a water seal is required.

When choosing the location of the bath, you should take into account all the features of your suburban area. For example, a structure can be placed near a pond (if any), due to which the issue of water supply will be resolved. At the same time, keep in mind that a spill of water is possible in the spring, which will require measures to be taken to more thoroughly waterproof the bath.

Before starting an independent development of a bath project with a summer kitchen, you should decide on the location of the building and materials for construction. Then you need to think about optimal dimensions constructions, its appearance and interior fittings. Still, it is better to develop some details together with a specialist, clarifying the plan of all events.

The project of a wooden bath combined with a summer kitchen

The layout of baths with a summer kitchen requires careful attention to issues related to the location of the entrance to the kitchen and washing room.Ideally, the entrance should be on the south side, warmer and sunny. You can equip the entrance in the form of a veranda or terrace, which will allow you to get even more usable space. The shape of the structure in this case will directly depend on its size.

The scheme of the correct location of the bath relative to the cardinal points

If you are going to build a smoky bath and heat it "black", then you should take into account the distance that goes from residential buildings to the boundaries of the site. The minimum distance is approximately 12 meters, while the future structure should be located on the side of neighboring houses.

If the bath is smokeless and heated "white", it is also recommended to place it away from residential buildings in order to avoid the risk of fire (in this case minimum distance is 5 meters). At the same time, such requirements are not an obstacle to combining a bath with a kitchen.

An example of the correct location of the bath on the site

The water tank of the stove can be combined with pipes, which will allow excess heat (including that obtained during the furnace or cooking) to heat the entire room. During construction, a shed roof without attic is usually erected, which eliminates the shading of your site by the structure. Rainwater from it is collected in a tank, which is installed opposite, and can later be used for washing clothes or other needs. Windows should be located on the southwest or northwest side, which in the evening will provide good lighting baths.

Many people believe that a bath, combined with a living space, causes high humidity and unpleasant odors. Of course, if used incorrectly, a certain risk is possible, but in most cases such a layout only contributes to greater comfort. The main thing is to comply with sanitary and hygienic requirements when arranging wet rooms, as well as ensuring reliable waterproofing, ventilation and sewerage.

In this situation, the most good option will be a bath with dry steam.

If the air temperature in the bath is high enough, the internal structural elements will dry out in a very short term and, accordingly, will not be subject to decay. With proper arrangement of the place for washing, the used water will drain into the sewerage system and go to the sewer well, which is located outside the premises. A water seal must be present in this place - a device that prevents unpleasant odors from entering the bath from sewer well. A heated stove-heater is able to purify and disinfect the air, as well as improve the quality of ventilation (especially if the blower is below the floor level).

Scheme correct device bathroom sewer systems

During operation bath room it is not recommended to allow abundant or too frequent water supplies to the stones, as they must remain hot and dry (which will ensure better air drying). That is why dry steam rooms can be used as living quarters. An important requirement in this case, there will be high-quality floor insulation.
