They are in high demand among consumers due to loyal tariffs, the ability to cook delicious food. However, this technique requires special care, which is due to its special functional content. Today I will tell you how to support such household appliance in good condition, without damaging or damaging key components.

If we talk about the design, they stepped far ahead of their younger brothers, who were in use some 10 years ago. Several developments have been implemented here that are responsible for the normal functioning of controlled devices. The main one is gas system, represented by stopcocks, pipelines, burners and burners.

Basic gas system care principles:

  • change even serviceable hoses every 4-5 years of operation, as well as gaskets that ensure tight connections;
  • burners, burners, nozzles require periodic cleaning;
  • stopcocks are recommended to be lubricated periodically.

The second system is electrical. This includes electric ignition, light indication. The ignition electrodes must be kept clean and dry., otherwise the function will stop working or will do it from the fifth time.

The third - respectively Basic structure in other words, the corpus. Care consists in proper cleaning as it gets dirty.

Ventilation Control Issues

This type of kitchen appliances, despite all the modernity, is not equipped with devices for removing combustion products. That's why in the room where the operation is carried out, a constant supply of fresh air . Preferably, the flow comes from below. But, such air channels are rarely arranged.

Most often, a combustion products outlet system is mounted through either a wall fan. Additional ventilation (air conditioning) can be installed. In any case, it is necessary to control the cleanliness of the filters, do not forget to carry out regular replacement and monitor the health of the equipment.

Washing the gas hob

Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that all burners are turned off. I must say right away that some forums have recommendations on what can be washed with a cleaner high pressure or steam jet. This is fundamentally wrong for security reasons. Do not trust such advice.

Before cleaning, always disconnect the plug from the socket, close the gas regulator. If the appliance is hot, wait for any cleaning to cool down. The surface itself, burners, control panel are subject to cleaning.

The general principles of washing are as follows:

  • if there are enamelled elements on the gas hob, they are treated with soapy water, wiped dry and put in place. You can do the same with covers and dividers;
  • details based on of stainless steel, washed with plain water, wiped dry with a soft cloth;
  • coasters for pots and pans, with rare exceptions, are not recommended to be washed in dishwasher. Needed here manual labor what most manufacturers say. Use soapy water. Carefully wipe those products that have sharp edges;
  • if the coasters have stubborn stains, dirt, you can use a cleaning paste. After removal, check that the stand is in place correctly - the rods should be in the center of the burner.

Removal of complex contaminants

If food containing sugar, melted plastic, polyethylene film, all this is deleted immediately. For this, a scraper is used.

To remove grease stains, water stains, lime deposits, the device is turned off, it must cool down. Here you can get a special detergent for glass ceramic or stainless steel.

At the end of washing, do not forget to wipe the surface dry.

How to clean spark plugs

Automatic electric ignition is based on a metal electrode and a ceramic spark plug. These parts must be kept clean so that during operation there are no difficulties in lighting the burners. It also makes sense to ensure that the holes in the divider are clean.

How to choose the right tool and do no harm

The choice of detergent composition depends on the type hob.

She may be:

  • (polished or matte);
  • enamelled steel.

Glass ceramic and enamel

Glass-ceramic and enamel coatings can be cleaned with special agents (gel-like, liquid), soap solutions. The restriction applies only to abrasive cleaners and scratching devices. When working, use a separate sponge, a rubberized cloth and a soft microfiber cloth for dry wiping. Do not use a sponge that is used for everyday dishwashing. On the gas-on-glass panel, it is permissible to use glass cleaners.

Stainless steel

Steel reacts negatively to chlorine, acids, abrasives and aggressive household chemicals. Stains from polished panels are best removed immediately, before they dry.. Soap solution and special compounds for cleaning and polishing stainless steel work well. Surfaces of this type, like all others, are wiped dry with microfiber cloths after cleaning.

To remove greasy stains from steel, you can use an available degreaser in the form of a gel, for example, Pemolux, Fairy, Aos, Myth. Effective cleaners specially designed for metal surfaces from brands such as Topper, Top House, Electrolux, Cilit. To polish the panel to a mirror finish, take Domax, Wpro 29945, HG polishes or a glass cleaner and a soft cloth, which will give almost the same result.

It is recommended to use from time to time special means to protect stainless steel or aluminum surfaces. This treatment improves the appearance of the panel, protects against fingerprints. Means with similar properties are produced by Edelstahl Pflege Ol, Bosch.

A number of warnings

Incorrect cleaning may cause dark spots and scratches on the surface. They do not affect the operation of the appliance and everyday cooking, however, they will subsequently complicate maintenance and spoil the appearance.

To prevent this from happening, do not use aggressive acid products, petroleum-based preparations, steel wool, abrasives, knives and others. sharp objects to remove contaminants.

Before using any cleaning products, I recommend that you carefully read the attached instructions. Do not mix different drugs with each other, otherwise it may lead to unexpected chemical reactions.

Let's go to the details

The most common problem gas burners is their blockage. Everyone is used to thinking that natural gas burns clean. However, this is not quite true. This fuel contains impurities that, when burned, form ash. Over a long period of use, this sediment builds up and clogs small holes, such as a wick (it will either go out easily or not burn). Plus, a characteristic soot ring also forms on the surface of the burner.

Before you start cleaning the surface, remove the removable elements. The holders for dishes or the grate are removed every time, the burners - depending on the dirt, it is recommended to dismantle the knobs-regulators only when general cleaning. During long-term operation, it is necessary to pay attention to the nozzles. To clean them, you can invite a gasman or do everything yourself.

Lattices are washed like this:

  • enamelled– are cleaned by the same means as the panel. May be washed in the dishwasher. With a very dried soot, the product can be soaked in a warm soapy solution;
  • steel- such a grill can be cleaned with almost anything, including brushes and hard washcloths. However, beware of using strong acidic products;
  • cast iron- Carefully cleaned with sponges and washcloths. After contact with water, the grids are carefully wiped dry. To remove stubborn dirt, cast iron can be ignited directly over the burner, but this is rarely required. Majority greasy spots and the remnants of food depart and so on.

We clean the handles

Regulatory knobs can be plastic or metal. Regardless of this, after removing them, it is enough to dip them in a soapy solution. After soaking, dirt can be easily removed with a simple sponge. All parts must be wiped dry before installation. Clean stubborn stains with old toothbrushes and toothpicks.

If the regulators are non-removable, you will have to wash the dirt in place using toothbrush, cotton buds and toothpicks.

We clean the jets

If we talk about burners, most often they are made of aluminum, and covers (reflectors) are based on steel (enamelled or not). This part of the gas panel consists of a burner, a base and a divider. All of these items should be cleared.

Cleaning gas burners

Burners should be cleaned with a special detergent. After washing, wait until the burner is completely dry. The thermocouple and the electric ignition electrode must always be dry and clean.. When this part is cleaned, put it back in place, while making sure that the cover and the flame distributor and the cover are correctly seated. Otherwise, the risk of fire cannot be ruled out. If the burner is not in place, the ignition cannot be used.

If there is a wok burner on the hob

WOK is a burner with three rows of flames. Such burners sit exclusively on the mounting grooves, that is, a properly lying burner cannot rotate. When cleaning, this thing deserves special attention.

Under the flame distributor on the outer ring are four holes that must always be kept clean. To remove plaque, soot or dirt, you can use a cotton swab or a toothbrush..

Cleanliness of caps and nozzles

The lids are washed with a simple soapy solution and rinsed running water . If the contamination is strong, they are left in the solution for several minutes. Aluminum is washed with any product that does not contain chlorine or acid. Cleaning can be trusted with a metal washcloth.

The nozzles are cleaned by removing the top panel in advance, using a soft thin copper wire.. For such a sensitive operation, it is better to invite a specialist, the gasman will at the same time check the pressure in the system and the condition of the burners and nozzles. Sometimes the problem lies not in the dirt, but in the pressure.

The need for cleaning is indicated by weak combustion or the complete absence of gas supply. Clogged nozzles can change the color of the flame. Moisture, food residue, cleaning agent residues can be the cause of blockage. You can use alcohol or other non-petroleum solvent to clean the elements. When rinsing is completed, make sure that the remaining solvent has evaporated.

It must be remembered that the purpose of cleaning is to bring down the formed carbon deposits without damaging the metal. Do not use items that can enlarge the hole. If the burner is too clogged or the holes in the panel model are too small, it is better to replace the burners.

In general, nozzle cleaning is subject to the following principles:

  • the grille is removed;
  • the divider is disconnected from the burner;
  • remove the burner;
  • inside the burner there is a small hole - a nozzle;
  • it is cleaned with a wire, inserting a small piece into the nozzle. The wire is scrolled several times and removed;
  • everything is assembled in reverse order.

Gas taps

Gas supply valves need periodic lubrication. If the equipment is not in use a long period, gas supply and electricity must be turned off. If the faucet becomes hard to use, a service technician should be called. It may need to be cleaned or replaced.

Processing is carried out with special lubricants for cranes - grease. They must comply with certain GOST standards for resistance to elevated temperatures, moisture, gases. You can safely take products of domestic or foreign production. I want to warn against the thoughtless use of silicone grease from the nearest auto shop. Such processing cannot be carried out.

What is the result

Regular maintenance is required to keep it in good condition. It is much more efficient to remove dirt immediately after cooking, without waiting until they become difficult to remove. Equally important is the regular maintenance of gas and ventilation systems. Do not forget about the timely replacement of filters, pipes, seals.

As a rule, the service life of most components of household appliances is marked by an indicator of seven years. This range also includes a hob, which is available in any kitchen. Cooking is a regular process, so the hob is under constant load, gradually wearing out its mechanisms. And then one day the moment comes when the hob must be replaced. Topical issue becomes its dismantling. However, how to carry out this procedure, if for many years there was no such need? Of course, right decision there will be an appeal for help to professionals who will help dismantle hob in the country with high quality and without any damage near the rest of the kitchen components.

Selection of a new panel before dismantling the old one

Before proceeding with the dismantling of the hob on country cottage, you should choose an identical new panel for embedding. This is not to say that this is too problematic, but you still have to visit several services. If, for example, the dismantling of the ceiling in a room requires only compliance with safety rules, then in our case, technological subtleties must also be taken into account. The fact is that the new hob in its dimensions must clearly correspond to the cut in the countertop. Otherwise, the new panel will either be too small for the drank, or it will not fit into the countertop hole at all.

Reasons for dismantling the hob

Preferably, the hob is subject to dismantling due to its failure. But before starting such a procedure, the right step is to first determine the cause of its malfunction. There is a known case when dismantling was not necessary at all, because, as the analysis of specialists showed, the reason for the termination of the operation of this kitchen component was the end of the service life of the ampere socket through which the panel was connected. Of course, in the event of mechanical damage, it is better to dismantle the hob.

Let's turn to professionals!

Without experience, it is absolutely not worth dismantling the hob yourself, regardless of whether it is electric or gas. This process implies strict adherence to safety rules, as, for example, in the case of dismantling a metal roof. Based on this, it is recommended to call a team of professionals for dismantling, who not only skillfully dismantle the old panel, but also install a new one. To do this, the hob is first isolated from the supply of gas or electricity. Sometimes a gas stove can be equipped with an electric igniter. In this case, both systems stop working. After that, it is necessary to loosen the fasteners that hold the panel. Usually they are attached directly to the countertop by means of additional elements installation. Next, you should carefully destroy the waterproofing layer of the hob, which is sometimes applied around its perimeter. As a result, the panel is carefully removed outward.

Our company provides similar dismantling services and guarantees a successful result. Without any harm to other kitchen components, our specialists will perform their work quickly and efficiently. If, due to the long operation of the hob, the countertop has also undergone fading or burnout, it can also be carefully dismantled.

In the layout of modern furniture sets for the kitchen there is a built-in electric or gas stove, the hob and the oven of which are mounted separately. The built-in panel is a functionally finished product, which, in principle, can be used without a kitchen. This article will tell you how to install a built-in hob and connect to the network with your own hands. The surface can be electric, gas or a combination, but the basic rules that should guide the operation are the same for all versions.

Step by step installation instructions

Speaking of tools, if the built-in panel is installed in a new set, and the hole for mounting the case in the countertop has not yet been made, a drill and an electric jigsaw are required. To connect to the mains, you will also need a screwdriver, pliers, a voltage indicator.

The first thing to take care of is a 220 volt electrical outlet, which will include a built-in hob. The choice of its location and installation must be carried out before the installation of furniture. In addition to the panel, the oven is included in the set of the stove. If the first is placed without a cabinet, it can be plugged into one outlet. The electrical socket should be installed lower than the built-in hob will be in order to prevent it from being exposed to moisture and grease during cooking.

When the kitchen walls are completed, you can get to work. You can install the built-in hob according to the following step-by-step instructions:

  1. First you need to determine the dimensions of the mounting opening, which must be cut in the countertop. This information can be found in the instructions provided by the manufacturer. If there is no instruction, you need to carefully measure the seats. It’s a good idea to make a cardboard layout according to these dimensions (sometimes it is included in the kit), which then needs to be installed on the tabletop and circled with a pencil. It is necessary to provide a gap between the landing parts of the body and the edges of the table from 1 to 2 millimeters.
  2. Carefully mark the future hole. You will need a long ruler and a pencil. Do not forget that the tabletop is made of pressed sawdust and decorated with a coating of artificial stone. For this reason, you should not cut a hole closer than 50 mm to the edge, as thin sections of the table may collapse.
  3. Carefully drill holes in the corners of the marked area with a drill, without going beyond it. We use a drill 8 - 10 mm for this purpose. In the process of drilling, it must be installed and held strictly perpendicular to the surface.
  4. Insert into electric jigsaw a fine-toothed wood blade to avoid chipping the tabletop surface at the edge of the slot. Having inserted the canvas into one of the prepared holes, we make a cut according to the markup, firmly pressing the jigsaw to the surface. After finishing cutting, make sure that the built-in hob easily enters into seat with a small gap. Otherwise, the edges of the hole should be trimmed.
  5. It is desirable to protect the end sections of the slot made from moisture. For this purpose, the edges are processed with a sealant, as shown in the photo below. Then you can stick the seal included in the kit.
  6. Now the built-in hob is being prepared for installation, after which it is installed and connected. Gently insert it into the hole and, with a gentle touch of the hands, push it down until the protruding edges are completely attached to the surface of the countertop. Before this, you can apply a layer silicone sealant onto the surface, which is then covered by the built-in hob. This will ensure the sealing of the connection. When pressing on the surface, care should be taken, especially if it is glass. It is important that the built-in panel lies evenly on the surface of the countertop. Otherwise, placing a heavy pan on it may create a breaking force.
  7. The last stage of installation is that the built-in panel is fixed using special fixing clips included in the kit. The clamps are installed from below, after which the case is fixed. Protruding excess sealant that has been applied to the surface of the countertop must be carefully removed. If an oven is installed under the hob, a layer of thermal insulation is laid between them.

The detailed process of installing an electric hob in the countertop is shown in the video tutorials:

Electrical connection

To connect the built-in hob to the mains, it is enough to check the presence of voltage and connect the plug to the socket. When preparing for installation, make sure that the cross section of the wires corresponds to the connected electric power, which the built-in panel has. Otherwise, you need to draw a separate line from the inlet shield to the plate. Then the installation of an outlet may not be required. We talked about it in more detail in a separate article, which we strongly recommend that you read.

Idea self installation the hob can be somewhat intimidating. After all, you will have to deal with either electricity or gas and at the same time work with fairly expensive kitchen equipment. However, none of the steps for installing a hob are particularly difficult. It just needs to be done carefully and correct sequence from the very beginning to the end.

Steps

Installing an electric hob

    Remove the old hob, if any. If you are replacing an old hob, you will need to remove it first. Turn off the electricity in the distribution box. Remove any attachments from the hob and clean off any sealant. Disconnect the wires, remembering how the old hob was connected, and remove the hob from the hole it sat in.

    Make sure you have enough space in the location you have chosen for the hob. Ideally, you should have a gap of 76 cm above the hob, and on the sides of it there should be about 30-60 cm of free space. You should also make sure that there is enough space under the worktop to accommodate your new model hob.

    Make sure that there is a junction box near the place you have chosen to connect the hob to the mains. Most electric hobs require a direct connection to the mains through a 220V junction box. If you are replacing a hobs, you probably already have a junction box.

    Measure the dimensions of the hob and make sure it fits into the old hole. If you are replacing a hob, the countertop should already have a hole, and you just need to make sure it fits the new hob.

    Adjust the hole for the hob so that it can fit into it. The hole should be on each side 1.5-2.5 cm smaller than the dimensions of the hob. If you do not already have a hole for the hob, or it is too small, then you will need to cut it along the right size. If the existing hole is too large, then sheets of metal can be screwed on the sides to reduce it.

    Remove all removable parts from the hob to make it easier for you to put it back in place. The hob may have removable burners, protective screens and other parts that should be temporarily put aside. You also need to remember to remove all packaging materials from the hob.

    Install clamps. They are designed to fix the hob. You should hang them from the top edge of the slot and then screw them on.

    Lower the hob into the hole. Lower the new hob into the hole, remembering to put the wires through it first. Press down on the hob until you hear the locking clips click.

    Connect the wires of the hob to the mains. Electricity must still be turned off when you do this so as not to get an electric shock. Connect the hob wires to the corresponding wires in the junction box.

    Install the previously removed detachable parts on the hob. Replace the burners, protective screens and other removable parts.

    Turn on the electricity and check the operation of the hob. Turn on the power supply to the hob to check that everything is working properly.

    Open all hotplates for a few minutes. Even though you have turned off the gas, there may still be gas in the hose. Open all burners to release the gas. Don't set it on fire. All the gas will come out in a few minutes.

    Disconnect flexible hose gas supply from a stationary gas line using two wrenches. Take one wrench and install it on the hose nut, and the second wrench on the fixed gas line nut.

    Remove all removable parts from the hob. Remove burners, protective screens and other removable parts before moving on. This will make it easier to move the hob.

    Remove the clips holding the existing hob in place. Unscrew the clips from the underside of the old hob.

    Push the hob from below to lift it up. Remove the hob from the countertop and put it in a safe place. Don't forget that the gas hose is still attached to it.

    Disconnect the gas hose from the old hob. If you will be using the old gas hose to connect the new hob, you will need to disconnect it from the old hob. Use two wrenches for this, one on the hob and one on the hose nut.

    • To disconnect the hose, turn its nut counterclockwise.
  1. Connect the gas hose to the new hob. Use a gas joint sealant by applying it to the threads at the junction of the hose and the hob. Apply sealant generously to the threads, but be careful not to get it inside the hose. Screw the nut of the gas hose to the hob using a wrench.

    Place the new hob in its place. Carefully lower the hob into the opening so as not to damage any of the connections at the bottom of the hob. Before lowering the hob into the opening, you must lead the gas hose forward into it.

    Connect the gas hose to the fixed gas pipe. Apply sealant to fitting threads gas pipe. Then spin wrench gas hose nut. Be sure to tighten the nut tightly.

    Prepare a soapy solution. Prepare a solution of 1 part dish soap and 1 part water to check for possible gas leaks. Stir the solution thoroughly and then either spray it on the gas connections or apply with a brush. Turn on the gas supply valve by placing it in a position in which its handle indicates the direction of gas supply.

    Turn on the burners and check their operation. If the soapy water test reveals no leaks, try lighting the burners. It may take a few seconds for the gas to come up and ignite, because normal air must first exit the hose.

    Attach the hob mounting brackets to the worktop. When you are sure that the hob is working, attach it with mounting brackets to the countertop. Your hob is now fully installed.

    • Replace the doors and drawers of the cabinet under the hob, as well as all its contents.

Choice of hob

  1. Get a hob when you want to have a separate oven and hob. Cooktops are very convenient when they need to be installed on free-standing islands. Also, separate hobs are required when you want to have a built-in oven (which is more convenient than a conventional gas stove with oven).

What do you need for daily cooking? High temperature and the ability to control the heat source. As it turned out, there are not so many types of home “hearth”.

  • kerosene burner - 5 decades ago was the main element in any kitchen;
  • gas stove - by far the most massive "hearth";
  • electric stove - can be a separate element or a built-in component of the kitchen.

Let's consider the last option in more detail. When visiting the kitchen was an exclusively utilitarian affair (that is, the hostess was only interested in the process of cooking), no one thought about appearance electric stoves.

Accordingly, from a technical point of view, it was a very primitive device:

  • frame;
  • heating element (spiral or heating element in its own case);
  • thermostat (not present in every model);
  • mechanical heating regulator (coil resistance switch).

It was possible to repair such a stove with a screwdriver and pliers in hand. Even the heating coil was easily made by hand: it was wound around an ordinary pencil nichrome wire. More advanced craftsmen used an electric drill and a wooden mandrel. The steel rod was inserted into the cartridge, and the winding process was much faster.

Modern hobs

Then came into the kitchen fashion trends modern design, and simple electric stoves no longer fit into kitchen corners and furniture sets. There were hobs that are built into the countertop.

Such Appliances Not only is it beautiful, it has advanced functionality. The heating element is controlled by electronic controllers, there are various systems security. Most products are equipped with touch control panels; you will not find a mechanical handle even in economy class models. To repair a modern hob with your own hands, you must have basic knowledge of electronics.

Types of heating elements of a modern electric stove

The usual spiral in ceramic insulator holders has not been used for a long time. Instead, 3 types of electric heaters are used, both direct and indirect effects:

Having dealt with the design of the heaters, you can repair your own hob.

Hob malfunctions

If one of the burners does not work, this can be experienced. But the breakdown of the entire plate is already a problem. You can take the equipment to the workshop, but in addition to the cost of spare parts, you will be charged for the work performed. If you know how to hold a soldering iron in your hands, and have at least a multimeter, you can repair the hob yourself.

All faults can be divided into 3 groups

  • Heating element failure: For spiral or halogen burners, this is a mechanical rather than electrical problem and is repairable. In an extreme case (for example, a halogen heater), a simple replacement. The induction emitter (winding) does not break in principle, the problem may be in the electronics.
  • Failure of switching elements or conductors. These can be relays, contacts, thyristor keys. They are not the most difficult elements to repair.
  • Electronic circuits: generator, transformer, controllers, control unit. Without a deep knowledge of electronics, it will not be possible to repair these elements. In the best case, you can dismantle the faulty element and install a new one.

Before you start complex repair, try to diagnose "problems" that can be fixed without disassembling the structure.

For example, check the power supply from the incoming circuit breaker, before connecting the power cable directly from the panel (including the socket, if any). The presence of power is checked with a multimeter on the contact block of the plate.

If the control panel does not work, check that it is dry (if there are movable keys) and clean (in the touch unit). Often a layer of dried spray simply prevents the touch buttons from "feeling" your fingers.

How to disassemble the hob

The most commonly used embedded kitchen worktop panels. The electrical appliance has an independent housing with a decorative plane, under which are located heating elements. Carefully remove the panel and lay it face down on a flat surface. Before starting disassembly, it is recommended to disconnect the power wires. It will not be superfluous to recall that the wiring must be de-energized in advance.

After careful dismantling covers, we get full access to the "internal organs" of the panel. Any design has a similar layout: all electrical elements are located in the so-called working "trough" without separating barriers. The illustration shows a variant where "HiLight" type heaters are installed on all burners.

Already at this stage, it is possible to visually diagnose the integrity of the wiring and spiral (tape) heaters. All blocks and modules are connected using connectors or contact terminals. When localizing a malfunction, you can easily remove the assembly for replacement or a more detailed check.

For example, you can remove the heater in an insulating housing, apply power to it, and check its operation using the instrument.

Repair of direct heating hob (individual units)

Troubleshooting is done from simple to complex. After the fuse, we check the wiring, and the performance of the heating elements. Control over the on/off of the heating filament is carried out using PWM (pulse width modulation). Don't let that bother you. All the same, the power supply is supplied by conventional relays, which are checked with a multimeter.

A burnt-out spiral (tape) usually changes entirely; this is not the most expensive element. As a temporary measure, a mechanical connection can be made (rivet or screw for the tape, and connection with a screw terminal for the helix). This will allow for some time to return the operability of the plate. Such a “splice” will live for several days, so buy a new spare part as soon as possible.

Power relays cannot be restored, definitely - replacement.

The same applies to halogen heaters. Thermal elements are not repaired (in fact, this is an electric lamp), they are replaced with new ones.

As for the burnt wiring, you should select a wire with similar characteristics, make a whole bundle, and replace it using limit switches.

Contact groups before reassembly are checked for strength and absence of thermal damage, cleaned and reassembled.

If, after checking, it turned out that all power conductors and elements (including heaters) are in order, the electronics remain. Self repair possible only with specialized skills and a detailed electrical circuit.

If you know for sure that it is the electronic module that does not work, and there is no way to professionally diagnose it, you can take this particular unit to a branded workshop. It will be checked (for a small fee) at the stand, or in a similar hob model. You can install a repaired or new unit in place yourself.

For information:

Some masters restore the functionality of the hob by changing the control scheme. For example, you can power the heating elements from a home-made manual control unit that is placed outside the main body. If the cost of restoring standard modules is too high, and the stove heats up properly when connected directly, this method has the right to life.

Diagnostics and restoration of indirect heating panels

Repair of induction hobs is only possible for experienced electricians. Without knowledge of the material, with a simple multimeter and pliers, the operation is doomed to failure. At the same time, many problems are not malfunctions at all: a common violation of the operating mode.

Typical malfunctions of induction heating systems

  • The induction hob either does not turn on at all, or the power disappears immediately after the start of work. This may be a protective function: if you remove the dishes from the heating surface, or the size does not match the diameter of the burner, the automation blocks the work. The same applies to aluminum or copper cookware.
  • The same problem (wrong dishes) can lead to the fact that induction hob does not operate at full capacity.
  • Independent switching on of the heater may be due to contamination of the stove, or the presence of a massive steel (cast iron) object next to it.

Real faults that are not associated with a violation of the operating mode appear in the circuit of the inductive field generator. As we have already noted, the winding fails extremely rarely.

Typical diagram in the illustration:

In fact, there are no space technologies here. The transformer converts the supply voltage, and the generator creates an increased frequency of oscillation electromagnetic field. After a visual inspection (for clearly “burned out” radio elements), the generator is checked using a home oscilloscope. If you have such a device, it makes no sense to explain the principle of checking the inductance generator, your level is sufficient for repair.

If you do not have enough experience, you will have to contact the masters. In any case, repairing a single unit is not as expensive as buying a new panel.

Causes of malfunctions

With the exception of a minimal percentage of real factory failures, most breakdowns occur due to violations of the connection and operation mode.

  • unstable mains voltage disables electronics;
  • the use of dishes that do not correspond to the dimensions of the heating surface leads to local overheating;
  • impacts, spilled liquid on a hot surface form cracks, chips, through which moisture penetrates into the body.

But anyway, main reason failure of equipment - ignoring the requirements of the instructions.
