Abundance of advertising and complex technical component heating equipment often do not help, but only make it difficult to choose. What is more profitable, what is more convenient, from which manufacturer best service How complicated and expensive is installation? All these and a lot of additional questions have to be answered by everyone who is going to repair the old one or create new system heating. In this article, we will talk about what an induction heating boiler is and consider what techniques marketers use to achieve their goal. main goal- sales.

The article will be of interest to homeowners who decide to upgrade their heating system and install a backup boiler, especially those who have one source of heat - electricity and the choice is only for the type of electric heating. After reading, you will be able to communicate professionally with equipment sellers and installers, and do not be deceived by self-confident entrepreneurs in the market.

What is electric heating

Let's figure it out. Electric heating is an artificial process of raising the temperature due to energy supplied from outside. There are several ways of converting electrical energy into thermal energy: without contact with a heated object (induction-coolant) and in contact with a heated object (heat-carrier). It is in comparison with a heating element boiler that enterprising marketers manage to “intelligibly convey” to potential buyer information about the "incredible" induction boiler. By the way, you will not be able to find such a boiler used for domestic needs in any European country.

The use of the induction heating method is limited exclusively to the processes of heating metal and other conductive materials.

The principle of operation of the induction boiler

Induction heating is carried out by means of alternating energy magnetic field, which the heated object absorbs and converts into heat. Therefore, this is the heating of products made of conductive materials. To convert electrical energy into thermal energy, it is necessary to have three components:

  • alternating current (standard electrical network 220V, 50Hz);
  • inductor, i.e. multi-turn cylindrical coil (usually copper);
  • a core made of any ferromagnet (the material to which the magnet sticks, more often metal).

Scheme of the device of the induction boiler

Now let's take a step-by-step look at the principle of operation of induction heating:

  1. An alternating electric current, passing through an inductor, creates a magnetic field around the coil;
  2. The magnetic field creates Foucault eddy currents on the surface of the core, which heat the workpiece under the action of Joule heat (Joule-Lenz law);
  3. Heat from the heated core is transferred to the coolant washing it due to the thermal conductivity of the material.

In simple terms, this is a step-down transformer that is installed in a pipe.

Thus, electrical energy is transferred only to the core, without the use of contacts, and the heated core ( steel pipe) is still in contact with the coolant. And yes, particles can also settle on the surface of the core and worsen heat transfer. Marketers often talk about cavitation (oscillation) of the core and, therefore, the difficult formation of “scale”. In practice, it will be difficult to verify this, and is this the most important advantage? The steel core has sufficient surface area for effective heat removal even in the presence of deposits.

The video demonstrates the principle of operation of a hot water induction heat generator. Many scammers and ignoramuses sell such devices to gullible buyers under the guise of CE heaters.

How not to become a victim of fraud when buying an electric boiler for heating

Heat generator safety

When choosing a boiler, its safety is of paramount importance. In cheap heating elements, one of the main problems is current leakage. This is due to low-quality heating elements. When using certified components, leakage currents are minimized.

In induction boilers, electric shock is possible in case of power failures in the heat generator and system leakage, because any method of direct contact of the coolant (conductor) with current or magnetic field is unsafe. Describe complex processes doesn't make sense. The risk of electric shock when using cheap electric boilers is very high. This is main reason which should be skeptical about induction cats.

In order to reduce these risks, when choosing a boiler, pay attention to the quality electrical switch(machine), thermostat, temperature sensor and flow. If these elements are made in China and even their appearance does not inspire confidence, you should not count on the high build quality of such a heat generator.

Meet in the market of thermal equipment domestic induction electric boilers heating, which would be equipped with ABB, Moeller or Schneider circuit breakers, is almost unrealistic. This is worth thinking about. If you have high-quality wiring in your house, then you and the manufacturer have different requirements for the quality of electrical equipment.

If you install any electrical appliance with a power of more than 1.5 kW, do not spare money for the purchase of a cut-off circuit breaker RCD and be sure to make grounding, as indicated in the instructions for any electric boiler

It will not be superfluous to buy a voltage stabilizer. The inclusion of high-power electrical equipment affects the network parameters in the house, which can lead to malfunctions in modern household appliances and other devices. When using “wonder boilers”, the RCD switch works constantly, this indicates stray currents and, of course, the risk of electric shock. Think about whether your house needs a heat source of dubious quality that uses a powerful magnetic field?

When choosing heating equipment, preference should be given to products of well-known companies with international standards, a service center in your region and a legal basis for responding to customer claims. In my practice, there was not a single case in which the manufacturer of "wonderful" boilers, "made in the CIS", would be really responsible for a defective product. Chain of resellers, no real guarantee and service centres on the basis of private enterprises make warranty service almost impossible.

Claimed and actual efficiency

All electrical energy is transmitted with almost 100% efficiency in any electric boiler and heat loss can only be due to poor insulation of the boiler body. Manufacturers of induction boilers often manipulate the efficiency reduction indicators for heating element boilers, explaining this by the appearance of scale on the surface of the heating element, but this is absolute nonsense. First, calcium deposits are a conductor of heat. Secondly, if we consider deposits as an insulator, then the efficiency will remain unchanged, only the time of heating the coolant to set parameters.

The most important thing to understand once and for all: there are no miracles! There are no innovative developments scientific institutes times cold war and submarine technology with spaceships, the efficiency of which exceeds 100%

Note! Any electrical heating has an efficiency close to 100%. There are, for example, no electric domestic water heaters that use the "induction" method of heating. This is primarily due to the protection of the consumer from electric shock. And if once again sellers will tell you with memorized phrases about savings of up to 30% and high efficiency, then ask where the unused energy will go if the boiler efficiency is less than 100%. AT gas boilers heat escapes through chimney, but what happens to the electric boiler? Light trolling will let the seller know that you are in the know, and he will stop seeing you as a physics truant in grade 9.

Noise, compactness and weight

All electric boilers operate silently, noise may appear in the following cases:

  • cavitation (oscillation) of the pump,
  • boiler overheating,
  • narrowing of the pipeline section.

All electric boilers are about the same volume. An induction electric boiler for heating weighs more than a heating element, so it is necessary to provide for it the correct fasteners, not forgetting about the cavitation of the heat generator.

Temperature control

If you really want to save energy, then pay attention to the way you control the temperature in the room. Experts recommend regulating not the temperature of the water supply to the radiators, but the temperature in the room. To do this, you can use a remote room thermostat or thermostats on radiators. Pay attention to the weekly programmable thermostat - chronothermostat, with which you can set different temperature regime during the day or for another specified period of time. The profitability of the heating system characterizes the KIT (fuel utilization rate), and not the efficiency of the boiler. That is, the room should be fully heated only when it is really necessary. For example, when no one is at home, the temperature can be reduced to +16C.

Disadvantages of induction electric boilers

Do you need a powerful source of magnetic field in your home?

Advantages of induction boilers in comparison with heating elements

  1. Increased requirements for the coolant in the heating element boiler. Indeed, water for a heating system in which a heating element is used, in order to extend the life of heating elements, it is necessary to prepare, reduce the content of calcium and magnesium, and ideally pass through reverse osmosis. In practice, a good polypropylene filter for 5 microns is enough.
  2. Power regulation (voltage surges) is less noticeable in an induction boiler, but only with rheostatic adjustment. This advantage is significant only in comparison with cheap heating elements of domestic or Chinese production, which operate on the principle of completely “ON” or “OFF”. AT developed countries such an attitude to adjustment is unacceptable, therefore, in modern boilers, heating elements are divided into groups and are switched on one by one.
  3. The induction boiler has fewer parts and has more simple design so it costs less and lasts longer. A minimum of components and the most simple device allows you to make an induction heating boiler with your own hands.

Conclusion

Induction heating boilers consume the same kW of heat as heating elements. Miracles don't happen. The induction heating method has a number of advantages and is widely used only in industry.

The use of induction heating in living conditions requires high quality components and assembly of the heat generator. To do this, it is necessary to increase the level of production capacities of domestic enterprises engaged in the production of induction boilers, to introduce international standards and quality control methods

When buying a heating boiler, pay attention to the manufacturer's ISO 9001 standard - the quality management system standard and other international certificates and international awards

Be sure to inquire about the terms of the warranty service of the heat generator. And don't hesitate to ask about legal liability in case of electric shock. It is not worth believing the unfounded assurances of sellers that there has not been anything like this in 30 years. You need specific answers to the questions of who is responsible and in what documents it is written. Do not forget that all permits for the use of an electric heater in fire hazardous areas must be supported by the appropriate certificates.

Video: induction boiler

Autonomous heating in a private house is a very difficult and important task that can be solved using electric boilers. Currently, there are not only models on heating elements, but also more economical products - electrode and induction. The induction electric boiler is very popular due to its high efficiency, and, accordingly, less energy consumed for space heating. Let us consider in more detail the possibilities of induction boiler equipment, its advantages and disadvantages.

The principle of operation and the device of the induction heater

Induction is physical phenomenon, based on eddy currents, which was discovered and investigated by the French physicist J. B. L. Foucault. Induction boiler equipment in its work uses Foucault currents, which operate on the principle of the same electromagnetic induction.

An alternating voltage is supplied to the coil, an electromagnetic field is formed, which provokes the appearance of eddy currents that heat the metal. Water is heated in a heat exchanger and, circulating through the system, heats the premises in a private house.

Modern heating units based on induction consist of the following elements:

  • heat exchanger or core;
  • terminal box;
  • inductor;
  • control cabinet;
  • conductors;
  • inlet and outlet pipes.

For ease of operation of the equipment, its design may include additional elements. In fact, this type of boiler is an inductor, which is placed in a small but very heavy iron alloy case.

In this case, instead of the core in some devices, an ordinary metal tube with a coolant is mounted. However, the presence of a core increases the heat transfer area.

Such a system has a high degree of reliability, since the induction coil is firmly sealed in a sealed housing, not in direct contact with the coolant. The occurrence of holes in the turns is almost impossible, since they are not wound too tightly, and in addition they are filled with a special insulating compound.

All this is enclosed in a thick-walled massive case, which guarantees long term operation. Manufacturers give a guarantee for 5-10 years, but the sellers of boiler equipment say that an induction electric boiler can last about 30 years without Maintenance.

Design features of two types of boilers

Before purchasing an induction electric boiler for autonomous heating of a house, you need to decide which type of equipment is most suitable for your case.

There are two types of electric boilers based on eddy currents used to heat the coolant - SAV and VIN (eddy current), which have characteristic differences.

  • The SAV electric boiler does not require an inverter for its operation. In this case, the voltage from the network at 50 hertz is applied directly to the winding (coil). As a result, the secondary winding, which is a system of metal pipes of the heat exchanger, is heated by Foucault currents, quickly heating the water. The coolant with the help of a circulation pump moves along the circuit of the heating system forcibly.

SAV type induction boilers are produced for voltages of 220V and 380V. Equipment with a power of 2.5 kW can heat a room up to 30 m2. You can buy this SAV electric boiler unit, together with automation and a control unit, for 27,000 - 32,000 rubles.

  • Induction electric boilers type VIN (vortex). These are new generation models that require a special inverter that converts the frequency of the electrical network. Given technical solution allows structures to be made smaller and lighter than SAV type equipment. AT this case the heat exchanger is made of a ferromagnetic alloy, and not only the heat exchanger, but also the unit body acts as a magnetic circuit and a secondary winding.

An induction boiler of the VIN type with a power of 3 kW will easily heat a room with an area of 40 m2. The VIN electric boiler in a complete set with an automation unit, a pump and a circulation pump costs a little more - from 37,000 to 40,000 rubles.

Advantages of electric induction boilers for heating

Sellers of boiler equipment are scattered in praise, talking about the exceptional characteristics of induction units. Some of the words are really true, the other part is fiction. For example, consultants say that induction devices save up to 30% of electricity compared to electric boilers on a heating element. However, the claim is somewhat exaggerated.

The fact is that both types of boiler equipment consume approximately the same amount of electricity. But induction boilers heat the coolant faster than a heating element, also due to the lower inertia of the system. Therefore, if you turn off the unit in time when the room has warmed up enough, then indeed the electricity bills will be less. In this case, it is better to equip the heating system with automation with a control unit.

The efficiency of the induction boiler is really very high and is close to ± 98%, like that of heating elements or electrode devices. However, induction electric boilers for heating a private house cost more than conventional heating elements. The control unit and automation, a special alloy body and winding increase the cost of equipment. At the same time, like other technical devices, induction heating boilers have advantages and disadvantages.

We list the main advantages of electric induction boilers:

  • high reliability, however, it must not be allowed that there is no liquid in the system;
  • any type of coolant can be used;
  • there is no need to replace any elements of the device;
  • scale does not form due to constant high-frequency vibration;
  • long service life of the boiler up to 30-35 years;
  • saving resources up to 25% due to the heating rate;
  • monolithic ferroalloy housing eliminates the possibility of leakage;
  • do not require a separate room and arrangement of ventilation;
  • small size - a pipe segment from 40 cm to 1 m in length;
  • silent during operation;
  • does not need service;
  • the coolant heats up very quickly - in 5-7 minutes;
  • autonomous system of work;
  • simple installation.

The disadvantages of these units can be called big weight with small dimensions - from 30 to 40 kilograms, as well as the high cost of equipment. In addition, for cottages of 2-3 floors, an additional high-power circulation pump will be required.

Features of installation of induction heaters

Current induction electric boilers for heating should only be installed with a closed circuit with a membrane expansion tank and circulation pump. Forced circulation is needed primarily due to the fact that intense heating and a small volume of the heat exchanger prevent the creation of natural circulation, the water will boil before the conditions for gravitational circulation are created.

In the event that an induction heating electric boiler is used as a heat generator, then it is necessary to use plastic pipelines in the circuit or isolate metal pipes from the boiler installation plastic fittings. The boiler must be provided with mandatory and high-quality grounding.

Installation requirements, as for all electric boilers: from the surface of the floor or ceiling - 80 cm, from the wall - 30 cm Installation of a safety unit, which includes a pressure gauge, air and safety valves, is mandatory as for all closed heating systems. In private homes, usually used standard system connections.

Installation of induction boilers must be carried out in accordance with the instructions or requirements specified in the technical data sheet. The device must be located strictly in a vertical position, the lower inlet pipe is connected to the return, the upper, respectively, to the supply. For this, only metal or metal-plastic pipes should be used.

If you decide to install an electric boiler yourself, you need to remember about grounding. In the immediate vicinity, it is necessary to install a safety group control cabinet, at the inlet - filters and a flow sensor.

During the acquisition, you need to carefully look at the power of the equipment, which does not fall during use. The optimal ratio is 60 W per 1 m2. In order to calculate this characteristic, it is necessary to take into account the dimensions of all rooms.

If there is not enough thermal insulation, you need to take a more powerful heating boiler. Current induction units can maintain a low temperature in rarely used rooms. Accordingly, an electric boiler of 6 kW is quite suitable for a house.

Thus, the most simple and optimal solution for heating is the installation of an electric boiler. They are really more economical due to the lower inertia of the system, reliability (if you use well-thought-out technology and high-quality materials) and good operation of automation, which includes only a system to maintain the temperature. This equipment is installed as a backup in private homes and for heating offices and trade pavilions.

In spite of great amount ways to generate heat natural resources, homeowners are increasingly turning to the use of electric heating installations to heat their homes.

Electricity boilers are environmentally friendly, since no combustion products are emitted into the atmosphere, which appear during the combustion of oil products, gas, coal and even firewood.

Vortex heater

Another plus use of electric heating is the ease of maintenance of heating systems mounted on the basis of electric boilers. However, the convenience of using electricity for home heating is becoming an increasingly costly way to get heat in the house - paying the bill for electricity consumption with each heating season becomes overwhelming for many.

Homeowners are beginning to look for an alternative to electric boilers, the basis of which is a standard heating element.

Induction electric boilers are gradually gaining popularity, also converting electricity into heat needed for space heating. However their design makes it possible to use the energy carrier much more economically, which significantly reduces the current costs of maintaining the house during the heating season.

Energy savings are due to the rapid heating of the heat carrier of the heating system. This is due to the induction device, which replaced the traditional heating element in the boiler.

In addition to reducing heating costs, these boilers have a solid number of advantages over other electric boilers - high efficiency, long service life (at least 25 years) and no scale.

The internal structure of the induction heater and the principle of its operation

The design of such a device designed to produce heat energy is similar in its simplest form to a transformer. Like the transformer the induction generator consists of short-circuited windings - primary and secondary.

Primary winding serves to convert electricity into eddy currents that create an electromagnetic field directed to the secondary winding. Secondary winding at the same time it is both the body of the inductor and the heating element that transfers the received energy to the heating system. The coolant can be any electrically conductive liquid, ranging from ordinary technical water to oil and antifreeze.

Since a vortex induction heater (or just wine) does not emit fuel decomposition products during operation, it is the safest among various kinds heating equipment used to provide heat to buildings for various purposes. Such a heating system guarantees a favorable composition of the atmosphere, which means maintaining its environmental cleanliness.

Heating system starts working immediately after applying voltage to the internal winding. The resulting electromagnetic field directs eddy currents to the surface of the core located outside.

Their density almost instantly increases, heating the surface of the core, and then the entire element. This heat serves to heat the coolant circulating in the boiler.

Why is it needed for a heating system? Types of device, and the principle of its operation.

Is it worth installing a thermostat on a heating radiator? product?

It should be borne in mind that the device crashes into the heating system using two nozzles. The lower one serves to supply the cooled coolant. It is mounted at the entrance to the boiler, and through the second pipe the heated coolant is sent to the heating system.

The supply of heated coolant is carried out due to hydrostatic pressure. Since the coolant constantly circulates in the system, carrying out the removal of hot liquid into the heating system, then the possibility of overheating of the equipment is completely excluded.

Features of the installation of the boiler plant and its operation

To ensure continuous circulation of the coolant, the heating system equipped with an induction electric boiler must be closed, in without fail equipped with a circulation pump. There are some rules for installing an induction boiler indoors.

The boiler must be mounted at a distance of at least 30 cm from the wall surfaces. From the floor and from the ceiling, the distance should be more than 80 cm. To be able to monitor the operation of the system and ensure its safety, a pressure gauge, a blast valve, automatic device designed to vent air.

Before starting work, be sure to check the presence of coolant in the system. The supply of electricity in its absence guarantees the failure of the equipment. You can install such a boiler in any room of the building, taking into account its installation at the above distance from its walls, ceiling and floor.

Many consumers who used plastic pipes when installing the system are concerned about the question: Can an innovative boiler be connected to them? Such a problem does not exist, plastic pipes for heating systems are designed for the use of any heating equipment.

Induction boiler price and installation cost

The choice of the power of the induction boiler, as well as any heating equipment. determined by the size of the heated area of the building. The cost of the equipment also depends on the power. The most inexpensive VIN boiler available for sale costs about 30 thousand rubles. The cost of installation starts from 6 thousand rubles.

The power of such a heater is 6 kW, which is quite enough to heat a small country house. It has two heating sections, 3 kW each, which is very convenient when increasing outdoor temperature air. This design of heating equipment can significantly reduce the consumption of electricity for heating the house.

Review:

For a long time I chose the VIN boiler and bought a SAV. At 5 kW. Since the task was to heat country house. The device does its job well. The only negative is that the machine often knocks out and refuses to work through the RCD. I will build a more powerful power supply line. Perhaps this will solve the problem.

Do-it-yourself induction electric boiler

The simplicity of the design allows home craftsmen to make an induction wine heating boiler on their own. In the manufacture of the simplest version of such a heater you will need to purchase a high-frequency welding inverter.

It is desirable that it be equipped with a device for smoothly adjusting the current. From the value welding current(at least 15 amperes) depends on the power of the structure.

You should also prepare the following materials:

  • thick-walled plastic pipe, inner diameter which is slightly less than 5 cm;
  • stainless steel wire 7 mm;
  • adapters for connecting to heating system;
  • enameled copper wire;
  • fine metal mesh.

The wire is cut into pieces about 5 cm. Then a plastic pipe is taken, at the bottom of which a metal mesh is fixed, and then an adapter is attached to the base. This pipe will simultaneously perform two functions - it will become a section of the heating system pipeline and the basis of an induction coil.

The inside of the pipe is completely filled with wire scraps.. They will serve as a material heated electromagnetic field, and a fixed metal mesh will prevent them from falling into the pipeline. Then on upper part plastic pipe an adapter is also installed.

The next stage of work will be the manufacture of the coil. Around the base of a plastic pipe filled with wire scraps, 90 turns of prepared copper wire. The wire should be located in the middle of the pipe.

The finished device is installed using adapters in the gap of the pipeline of the heating system. Installation is strictly vertical.

After installation, the coil should be connected to a high-frequency inverter, and the heating system should be filled with coolant. The heating device must be connected to earth. Now you can start using the heating device made by yourself.

To prevent heat loss and more aesthetic appearance a heat-insulating case should be made.

A study of consumer demand in the boiler equipment market says that most of buyers who use electricity for heating their homes prefer modern factory-made induction boilers equipped with various systems safety, powerful and economical. Such heating equipment of a new generation is becoming more popular every year.

To ensure the warm and cozy comfort of his country house, a person, first of all, thinks about how to heat his home. First of all, it concerns the choice of heating equipment.

The main criteria for choosing heating units are the efficiency of their use, as well as the minimum cost for paying for energy carriers.

Based on these criteria, many people believe that electrical equipment is also the most optimal equipment for a private house. But one can safely argue about the effectiveness of their use due to the fact that gas and electricity are constantly becoming more expensive, and this, in turn, does not in any way reduce the cost of heating a home.

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with such an alternative option for heating a country house as using. Therefore, in this article we will talk in detail about the induction boiler and its technical specifications, and also describe the process of creating this unit with our own hands.

Device

This type of modern heating equipment, such as an induction boiler, consists of the following structural components:

  1. Inductor. This element is the most important component induction device. This is a kind of transformer, the circuit of which has two windings:
    • the primary winding, as a rule, is wound on the core, and it is in it that an electromagnetic field is created, which forms vortex flows;
    • the secondary winding, which is also the boiler body, receives eddy currents and transfers energy directly to the coolant.
  2. inverter. This component of the boiler can also be called a converter. In other words, the main function of the inverter is that it takes ordinary household electricity and converts it into high frequency current, which is fed directly to the primary winding of the inductor.
  3. A heating element. This is the same core that can be represented as a metal pipe.
  4. Branch pipes. One of them is designed to ensure that the coolant enters the boiler, and the other supplies heated water directly to the heating system.

Specialist's note: the calculation of the inductor is made depending on how much boiler power is needed to heat the home.

As a rule, the power of the boiler is calculated according to the following formula: 1 kW per 10 m2 of the room, provided that the ceiling height does not exceed 3 meters. For example, if the total area of the house is 130 m2, then, accordingly, an induction boiler with a capacity of 13 kW will be needed.

Principle of operation

To understand how the induction unit functions, you need to familiarize yourself with the following important points:

  • water enters the boiler unit through the inlet pipe;
  • the inverter turns on and high-frequency current is supplied;
  • vortex flows first begin to heat the core, and then the entire a heating element generally;
  • the resulting heat is transferred directly to the coolant;
  • the heated coolant is transferred to the heating system through the outlet pipe using hydrostatic pressure.

Expert advice: water, antifreeze, oil and other petroleum-based liquids can act as a heat carrier in an induction boiler.

Analyzing the device and principle of operation of a boiler of this type, one can involuntarily come to the conclusion that an induction boiler unit can be completely constructed with one's own hands, without having too deep knowledge of physical phenomena.

Materials and tools

Before you start assembling the induction boiler, first of all, you need to take care of the availability of all necessary materials for its manufacture, as well as to have the tools required for the job at hand.

For construction you will need:

  • a piece of plastic pipe, which will be the body of the unit;
  • steel or stainless wire, which will be a kind of heating element;
  • copper wire necessary to create an inductor;
  • ball valves and adapters will be needed to connect the induction boiler to the heating system;
  • inverter, preferably from a welding machine;
  • wire cutters;
  • pliers.

When everything is ready from the above list, you can proceed directly to the assembly of the boiler unit.

Operating procedure

The design of the induction unit is reduced to the following main and sequential manufacturing steps:

  1. Steel or stainless wire is cut with wire cutters into lengths from 3 to 7 cm.
  2. The plastic pipe is densely filled with cut pieces of wire. It is important to know that the wire must be laid in such a way that voids do not form inside.
  3. A metal mesh is fixed at the ends of the pipe in order to prevent the pieces of wire from spilling out.
  4. Branch pipes cut into the top and bottom of the pipe. The lower pipe is needed for the coolant to enter the boiler, and the upper one for its supply to the heating system.
  5. Copper wire is wound over the pipe, while it is necessary to comply with the condition that the number of turns be at least 90.
  6. The ends of the wire are attached to the inverter connectors.
  7. With the help of adapters and ball valves, the boiler is connected to the heating system, and also installed circulation pump if there was none in the heating circuit.

Important point: the supply of high-frequency current to the induction boiler must be done only after the circulation pump is turned on and the unit is completely filled with coolant!

Advantages

A self-assembled boiler unit will have a number of advantages, among which the following important points can be distinguished:

  • fast heating of the coolant in the boiler in 3–5 minutes;
  • the minimum heating temperature of the coolant is 35 0С;
  • the magnetic field, in addition to creating thermal energy, forms vibrations that perfectly prevent the appearance of scale;
  • efficiency approaches 100%, in other words, all electricity is converted into heat with virtually no loss;
  • during the operation of the unit, combustion products are not emitted, as a result, there is no need to build a chimney, as well as frequent maintenance;
  • the period of uninterrupted operation of the induction boiler can reach up to 30 years due to the fact that the design of the unit does not provide mechanical movement parts, and as a result, there is no wear and damage to components.

Thus, we have revealed all the characteristics of the induction boiler, and also pointed out all the nuances of making the boiler with our own hands. We sincerely hope that all our tips and tricks outlined in this article will become a desktop guide for you when assembling an induction unit with your own hands.

Watch a video in which an experienced user demonstrates the device and operation of a do-it-yourself induction heating boiler:

According to item 2 - what kind of nonsense? Justify with formulas, not guesswork! What are the "transient processes" in the heating element - ACTIVE resistance, the value of which in the cold and heated state changes very slightly? Yes, indeed - in "theory" work on the purely active resistance of the circuit section, both constant and alternating current, is EXCLUSIVELY only in the production of thermal energy, but let me be curious: WHERE did you "in practice" put almost 20% of this heat? Yes, you will not get rid of it with all your desire! And, if the transition of electrical energy into thermal energy, say, in a transformer or an electric motor, is an extremely harmful and undesirable phenomenon, then the task of a heating element is easy and simple, like a door - this is just to generate this very heat! That is, to fulfill Ohm's Law in its original form! And the electrical efficiency of the heating element is in no way connected with square meters, neither with the materials of the walls, nor with their thermal resistance, but only indicates what part of the electrical energy supplied to it was converted into thermal energy. And this is almost 99..100% for the heating element! But whether a system based on this heating element will cope with heating is another question. This is thermodynamics: if this system can report to environment(heated room) per unit of time there is more thermal energy than this environment loses to the outside, then it will cope, otherwise it will not. Simple example: light a burner gas stove and leave for a day, while, no matter how long it burns, the kitchen will not get much warmer. Now we put a pot of water on the burner 10..20l or put 2..3 bricks and heat - in an hour or two in the kitchen - Tashkent! But after all, in the first and in the second case, it was the same burner, its power and efficiency when burning gas were the same! But here thermal power, which strongly depends on the area of the heat-radiating surface, as well as the thermal resistance and heat capacity of the media, is already different, which determined the result! Therefore, confuse your own efficiency electric heater and the entire heating system as a whole should not! Let the heating element have its own efficiency of almost 100%, and induction heater only about 70..75, but if, for example, the heating system in the first case ensures the transfer to the environment of only half of the heat output generated by the heating element, and in the second - two-thirds, then we can safely say that induction heating was more efficient here and cost less to the owner. But, if we consider the case when it is necessary to make a choice between electric or induction boiler in particular existing system, then we can say that the efficiency of induction heating is unlikely to be higher here.
