TASS-DOSIER /Valery Korneev/. On September 10, passenger traffic is opened in Moscow on the Moscow Central Ring (MCC) - an intra-city ring line of passenger electric trains, which uses the infrastructure of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway (MK MZhD).

The line is integrated with the Moscow metro (in the metro system, it is assigned the number 14) and radial railway lines.

Stations and transfers

The total length of the Moscow Central Ring is 54 km. A total of 31 passenger platforms have been built at the MCC. It is expected that on September 10, 2016, 26 platforms will open for passenger traffic, the remaining 5 - before the end of 2016.

From 17 stations, transfers to the lines of the Moscow Metro are planned. Five transfers at the metro station from the very beginning will be carried out "in a warm circuit" (without access to the street): to Kutuzovskaya, Delovoy Tsentr, Vladykino, Cherkizovskaya and Leninsky Prospekt. In 2016, after the opening station "Shelepikha" of the Third interchange circuit, transport interchange nodes will be built, which will provide transitions "in a warm circuit" at the metro stations "Partizanskaya", "Botanical Garden", "Rokossovsky Boulevard", as well as the stations under construction "Nizhegorodskaya" and "Okruzhnaya ".

At other stations, you will need to go outside for a transfer: for example, a transfer from the Baltiyskaya MCC station to the Voykovskaya metro station will take about 12 minutes.

In 2016, five transfers to electric trains of five directions - Kazan, Leningrad, Belorussky, Yaroslavl and Smolensk - will be launched. Four more transfers - to Paveletskoye, Riga, Kursk, Gorky directions - will open in the coming years after the transfer of existing platforms. The only direction of suburban trains with which a transfer is not provided is Kyiv.

Also, a transfer to 273 ground public transport routes will be organized from the MCC stations.

Fare

During the first month of the MCC's operation (until October 10, 2016), passengers will be free to travel around the ring.

In the future, travel will be carried out using travel tickets and transport cards (Single, 90 minutes, Troika) in accordance with metro tariffs, while maintaining all existing social benefits.

At the same time, with a ticket for one trip, it will be possible to make a triple transfer: metro - MCC - metro.

Working hours, intervals

Opening hours - from 05.30 to 01.00 - coincide with the schedule of the metropolitan metro.

6 minutes - intervals during peak hours, 11-15 minutes - at other times. As the demand for the line grows, the intervals may decrease.

A round trip around the entire ring will take 75-85 minutes.

rolling stock

Every day, 30 five-car ES2G "Lastochka" (Siemens Desiro RUS) five-car trains manufactured at the Ural Railway Engineering Plant will leave for MCC flights. Three more trains will be in reserve. Maintenance trains will be operated by Siemens (under an agreement concluded at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2015) at the Podmoskovnoye depot located in the Moscow districts Sokol and Aeroport.

Each train can accommodate 1,200 passengers, and Lastochka can carry up to 12 bicycles. The trains are equipped with climate control systems, toilets, 220 V sockets and Wi-Fi. Doors will be opened by buttons at the request of passengers.

The maximum design speed of the Lastochka is 160 km/h. However, due to frequent stops on the MCC, trains will only be able to reach a speed of 80 km/h. The average route speed will be about 40 km/h.

In total, up to 134 pairs of trains will run on the MCC per day.

Project cost

The budget for the construction of the MCC is 130.3 billion rubles. In total, 74.8 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget, and 15.5 billion rubles were invested by the Moscow government. Another 40 billion rubles. private investors will invest in the construction of TPU.

Freight traffic

Freight traffic on the line will continue in reduced volumes only at night. Currently, there are 12 active freight stations on the ring.

Goals of the MCC

The main goal of the project is to relieve railway stations, the central parts of metro lines and create new short routes. The Institute of the General Plan of Moscow expects that the commissioning of the MCC will reduce passenger traffic on the Sokolnicheskaya metro line by 20%, on Koltsevaya - by 15%, on Lublinskaya - by 14%, on Filevskaya - by 12%, on Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya - by 18% and on Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya - by 5%.

The load at the Kazansky railway station will decrease by 30%, at Kursky - by 40%, at Yaroslavsky - by 20%, at Rizhsky - by 30%, at Leningradsky - by 20%.

It is planned that by September 2017 the Moscow central ring will transport 75 million passengers, 34.5 million of whom will use the road to transfer from the metro, 20.2 million - from electric trains, 12.7 million - from surface urban transport, and 7.5 million will be citizens living near the MCC.

By 2025, the MCC is expected to carry 300 million passengers a year, and the line itself will create up to 40,000 new jobs after the development of the territories closest to the stations.

MCC section on the official website of the Moscow Metro -

In Moscow, work on the commissioning of Moscow Ring Railway stations is being completed. The traffic on the renewed small ring will start next year. Several facilities have already been integrated into the city's transport infrastructure. It is assumed that the road will become one with the metropolitan subway. This information was announced by the Deputy Head of the Department of Transport Hamid Bulatov. According to the official, the passengers themselves will not even feel the difference, because they will be able to use a single ticket.

The MKZHD will include 31 stops, of which 21 points will have a full-fledged traffic interchange network, and at 17 stop pavilions, passengers will be able to switch to the usual line. At 9 stops, they organize the possibility of transferring to all operating directions of suburban trains, except for Kyiv. The small MKZH ring will significantly reduce all flows of metro lines and provide the possibility of delivering passengers to the main metropolitan highways.

MKZD scheme

To enlarge an image, open it in a new tab.

Stations of the Moscow ring railway will be added to the metro scheme in September 2016. A map may also appear indicating the radial directions of the railway tracks, such an innovation does not exclude the director of the Moscow Railway, Alexei Zotov.

According to preliminary estimates, the planned passenger traffic of the Moscow Ring Road in 2017 will be 75 million people, and by 2020 it will grow by 2.3 times to 170 million passengers. The interval in the movement of railway transport will depend on the demand of the citizens. If the Moscow Ring Railway becomes popular with passengers, the interval is planned to be reduced to two minutes.

We have built for you
additional time

The Moscow Central Ring is part of the transport system of the future capital.
It gives the city an alternative to choosing new routes, reduces the load on the metro and train stations in the city center, and makes a trip around Moscow an average of 20 minutes shorter.

About the MCC project

The city train is the new kind public transport, which appeared in the capital on September 10, 2016 with the opening of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC).

Trains of the new generation "Lastochka" run along the railway ring in the mode of operation of the subway. You won’t have to wait more than 6 minutes for an electric train during peak hours, and you can transfer to the metro for free - the MCC has a single ticket with the metro.

Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction:

The launch of traffic along the Moscow Central Ring is a breakthrough project for the capital. MCC will build in the city new system transport logistics. There will be a redistribution of transit flows from the center to the middle part of the city, adjacent territories will become more accessible, passenger traffic in the metro will decrease and roads will be partially cleared.
The load on the main metro lines, primarily on the Koltsevaya line and central interchange stations, will decrease by more than 15%.

Creating a unique transport system, Moscow has integrated the MCC into the existing transport network cities and, most importantly, to the Moscow metro system. The MCC became the ground ring line of the capital's subway.
You can pay for a ticket at the box office at any MCC station with a bank card.
In the future, it is planned to introduce modern technologies fare payment: NFC (fare payment using mobile phone), Pay Pass / Pay Wave (contactless payment by bank card).

"Without the sound of wheels"

Fast "Swallows" reach speeds of up to 160 km / h, but at the same time they do not cause "noisy inconvenience" to the townspeople.

All electrified rolling stock is noticeably quieter than diesel locomotives and meets modern environmental requirements.

Protective screens will save the citizens from excessive noise
and the creation of the so-called "velvet path" - without the sound of wheels.

This technology provides for the laying of railway tracks using special technology on separate 800-meter sections.

Why will the city train become a popular mode of transport for Muscovites?

A trip along the MCC will be many times more comfortable than in the metro. 110 “swallows” run along the railway ring, each designed for 1200 people.

New generation urban electric trains are equipped with

Security at the MCC

Rail transport traditionally remains one of the most dangerous all over the world. However, emergencies do not occur with trains, but with inattentive passengers who go onto the rails in prohibited places.
A fence has been installed along the entire perimeter of the MCC, which will prevent unauthorized access to the railway track.

The total length of the fence was 108 km

Part of the fence (16 km) is noise barriers, which were installed within the boundaries of residential development.

Free pass
- Doesn't mean out of control

All transport security measures applied in the metro and on the railway are being implemented on the Moscow Central Circle. For example, profiling will also be carried out here.

Profiling

This method evaluates and predicts human behavior based on the analysis of the characteristics of appearance, non-verbal and verbal behavior.
There will also be a traditional screening like in the subway. Increased passenger protection will be provided through modern system turnstiles, detector frames and video surveillance, as well as by creating a separate division police.

Transport hubs

It will be possible to change one type of transport to another in a matter of minutes with the help of transport interchange hubs (TPU). They consist of terminals with ticket offices and turnstiles, as well as a system of covered pedestrian galleries - overhead and underground passages that will protect passengers from bad weather.

Passengers do not even have to go outside, so this type of transfer is called the principle of " dry feet».

Now ground urban transport brings citizens directly to the stations of the ring

In the future, transport hubs will become multifunctional: they will include offices, shopping malls, shops and cafes. Investors will invest in the construction of the commercial part, the city, using funds from the Moscow budget, is building only the technological part of the node, which performs transport function. This concept meets the interests of investors who need to recoup their investment in construction, and the needs of citizens who can find work or receive the necessary services close to their homes.

In the future, some long-distance trains will be able to drop off passengers before reaching the station. Using the MCC, people will be able to save their time, stations in the center of Moscow will become freer.

Parking and parks

Passengers on the MCC will also increase at the expense of some motorists who will choose “corkless” movement around the city by rail. This will reduce some of the load from overcrowded city highways.

You will be able to park your car in the park-and-ride parking areas. 17 stations Moscow Central Circle. They are ready to accept 2 thousand cars.

These parking lots will operate in the same mode as the intercepting parking lots at metro stations, of which there are 31 (capacity - 6.6 thousand cars). The largest of them for 1.48 thousand cars is located near the Annino metro station.

The Moscow Central Ring will breathe life into the abandoned territories around

For 90 years, the district railway was used for the delivery of goods.

The necessary load in the days of the USSR was given to her by public utilities and industrial enterprises located around. But gradually production fell into decline, and today these sites are at best used for warehouses, and more often they are simply idle.

The MCC is a unique project not only in terms of developing transport infrastructure, but also in terms of creating new jobs.

After the introduction of new real estate in the area of MCC stations, about 40 thousand places of employment will be created.

Investors have already expressed their readiness to invest in the development of areas around 11 MCC stations. Among them:

"Botanical Garden"

"Vladykino"

"Yaroslavskaya"

"Open Highway"

"Novokhokhlovskaya"

"ZIL"

"Warsaw highway"

"Business center"

"Shelepikha"

"Novopeschanaya"

"Nikolaevskaya"

Attracting private investment will allow Moscow to save budget money and direct it to the development of social and transport infrastructure in other areas of the city.

Former industrial zones will turn into new urban areas

Around the ring, according to the calculations of the General Plan Institute, the following can be built:

750 thousand sq. m of commercial real estate.
Of them 300 thousand "squares"- hotels,
250 thousand - trading floors,
200 thousand - new offices and technology parks.

Moscow has the right to expect that developers will be interested in investing in real estate construction, because after the launch of the MCC, the cost of land around will increase significantly. The former industrial zones around the MCC fell into disrepair: these territories required integrated approach. And putting in order the lands around the railway ring became most large-scale project urban improvement in 2016. Every day, 25.9 thousand people were involved in the improvement of the MCC in the summer of 2016. At the same time, the work was not aimed only at improving appearance stations, the task was also to create convenient pedestrian links between the MCC and ground public transport stops.

  • 2,800 trees were planted at the MCC.
  • Updated facades 111 56 historic buildings. Near 11 stations view zones are created.

The historic Kanatchikovo station on the MCC will not open for passengers, but will become an interesting sightseeing site.

There are also two preserved residential buildings, gatehouse, centralization booth and warehouse. The Kanatchikovo station adorned the Moscow Central Circle, being of value to anyone interested in the history of Moscow railways and urban architecture.

This decision is due to the low passenger traffic in the area. "Kanatchikovo" is located between the stops "Crimean" and "Gagarina Square" parallel to Kanatchikovsky proezd. The two-story building of the station from the beginning of the 20th century is an object of cultural heritage.

History of the creation of the MCC

In 2018, the Moscow Central Ring will celebrate a kind of anniversary: the decision to build the “Circumferential Railway” in Moscow was made by Emperor Nicholas II in the fall of 1897.

The initiator of the project was a great enthusiast of railway transport, the Minister of Finance Russian Empire Sergei Witte. District Railway was of great national importance, so the best Russian engineers and architects were involved in the project.

For 110 years, the task of the MCC has not changed: saving passengers' time.

35 pairs of trains per day ran along the district. Passenger Transportation at the MCC did not last long, they were discontinued due to unprofitability. For more than a century, the railway ring was used only for the transport of goods and served the industrial zones around.

The idea of restoring passenger traffic never left Moscow city planners, but work began only in 2012.
It was necessary to completely renew the infrastructure: electrify the road, reposition the rails, and most importantly, reconstruct eight overpasses at the intersection with highways in order to raise them to a height that would allow new trains to pass.

The first passengers drove along the district on September 10, 2016. On the eve of this event, the road was given a new name - the Moscow Central Ring (MCC).

Reconstruction of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC)- a unique project not only for Moscow, but for Russia as a whole. The MCC has become a full-fledged light metro, integrated into the metro system.

The MCC scheme is inscribed in the metropolitan metro map. It indicates the approximate time of ground transfers from the MCC.

In addition, the diagram shows possible transplants from the MCC to surface urban transport, traffic interval, etc.

The movement along the ring was launched on September 10, 2016. This gave a new impetus to the development of the abandoned industrial areas of the capital, and also made it possible to cut the Gordian knot of transport problems hanging over the capital.

The Moscow Central Ring is the road to the future. Thanks to the ring, trips around the capital take an average of 20 minutes. One more unique feature The MCC became the fact that it connected the garden and park ensembles of the capital: the Mikhalkovo estate, the Botanical Garden, the territories of VDNKh and the Losiny Ostrov National Park, the Vorobyovy Gory nature reserve and others.

The MCC is a new life for the industrial zones of Moscow

Since 1908, the Moscow Central Ring served the industrial zones and mainly performed the function of transporting goods. However, over time, many industrial areas around this ring fell into disrepair, some industries closed. A number of industrial zones were used as warehouses at best. Now these territories are being actively reorganized, housing is being built here with social facilities, sport complexes and others. And developing territories require convenient transport links.

The launch of passenger traffic along the MCC solves the issue of transport support for industrial zones. In addition, the ring connected commuter trains and electric trains that go to the city center with MCC stations. Passengers can, before reaching the city center, transfer to the MCC trains and move on almost throughout the entire territory of Moscow.

All MCC stations were built in the form of transport interchange hubs (TPU). They will include offices, shopping malls, shops and cafes. This concept meets both the interests of investors, for whom it is important to recoup investments in construction, and the needs of citizens.

Launch Stages

The opening of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC) took place on September 10, 2016. At the first stage, 24 stations will be available for passengers, and seven more MCC platforms will open in December. RIAMO correspondent learned how to use a new type of urban transport.

The opening of MCC stations will take place in three stages.

The first one is scheduled for September 10, and 24 stations will be put into operation this Saturday: Okruzhnaya, Likhobory, Baltiyskaya, Streshnevo, Shelepikha, Delovoy Tsentr, Kutuzovskaya, Luzhniki, Gagarin Square", "Crimean", " Upper boilers”, “Vladykino”, “Botanical Garden”, “Rostokino”, “Belokamennaya”, “Rokossovsky Boulevard”, “Locomotive”, “Falcon Mountain”, “Highway of Enthusiasts”, “Nizhny Novgorod”, “Novokhokhlovskaya”, “Ugreshskaya”, "Avtozavodskaya" and "ZIL".

In December 2016, 7 more stations will become available to passengers: Koptevo, Panfilovskaya, Zorge, Khoroshevo, Izmailovo, Andronovka and Dubrovka.

And in 2018, the construction of warm transitions will be completed: it will be possible to make transfers without going outside. In total, 350 transfers will be available for passengers, so travel time should be reduced by 3 times.

2

Fare

From September 10 to October 10, 2016, travel to the MCC will be free for everyone. Some of the turnstiles will be open, while others will automatically open when you approach them. So, tickets will need to be applied to the turnstile only in the transitions to railway stations and in the subway.

After October 10, any Moscow Metro travel cards (Troika, Ediny, 90 Minutes), as well as social cards, will be used to enter the MCC station. Within 90 minutes from the moment of ticket validation, the transition from the metro to the MCC and back will be free. It is also possible to pay for travel by credit cards.

3

MCC schemes

Three variants of MCC schemes have been developed for passengers. The first one, in addition to metro lines and MCC stations, indicates the stages of opening stations and crossings, the distance between transfer stations and the time it takes to transfer.

The second version of the scheme will help passengers of electric trains orient themselves: the map shows railway stations, existing metro lines, as well as MCC stations and "warm" transfers to the metro.

The third scheme shows the stops of urban ground transport near the MCC stations, as well as the interval of its movement during rush hour. For example, from the Luzhniki platform of the Moscow Central Circle, you can go to the Sportivnaya metro station in 2 minutes. Buses 806, 64, 132 and 255 run regularly there, so getting to the right place is not difficult.

In addition, the map shows all the main attractions of the city, forest parks and nature reserves. Many of them are within walking distance of the MCC, for example, the Losiny Ostrov park and the Vorobyovy Gory nature reserve.

4

Transplants

The MCC is integrated into the Moscow public transport system with the possibility of transferring to the metro, Moscow Railway trains and surface public transport.

From September 10, it will be possible to transfer from the MCC to the metro at 11 stations (Business Center, Kutuzovskaya, Luzhniki, Lokomotiv, Gagarin Square, Vladykino, Botanical Garden, Rokossovsky Boulevard, "Voykovskaya", "Highway Enthusiasts", "Avtozavodskaya"), by train - by five ("Rostokino", "Andronovka", "Okruzhnaya", "Business Center", "Likhobory").

By the end of 2016, the number of transfer hubs will increase to 14 and 6, respectively, and in 2018 there will be 17 transfers from the MCC to the metro and 10 to the train.

To make a metro-MTC-metro transfer free of charge (within 90 minutes), you need to attach a metro ticket to the turnstile with a special yellow sticker at the entrance to the MCC station.

Passengers who plan to travel only along the MCC or are going to make one metro change - MCC or vice versa can apply tickets to any turnstiles, including those without yellow stickers.

If you missed 1.5 hours, you must pay the fare again when transferring.

5

Trains and intervals

New luxury trains Lastochka with a capacity of 1,200 people will run at the MCC. Their maximum speed is 160 kilometers per hour; they will travel along the MCC at an average speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

The trains are equipped with air conditioners, dry closets, information panels, free wifi, sockets and bike racks.

The cars will open manually: to enter or exit, you will need to press a special button installed on the doors. The buttons will be active (green illumination) only after the train has stopped on the platform, at other times the doors will be locked for safety reasons.

In the morning and evening peak hours, the traffic interval will be only 6 minutes. The rest of the time, "Swallow" will have to wait from 10 to 15 minutes.

6

Renewal (activation) of travel cards

In order to get to the MCC with 90 minutes, Unified for 20, 40 and 60 trips, Troika, bought or replenished before September 1, 2016, you need to renew them.
