What are Easter eggs?

Interestingly, dyed Easter eggs have their own names, depending on how the eggs were dyed. And if we paint the eggs and scratch out the drawing, then we get a drape. Separately, it is worth noting the Easter eggs. This is not just an Easter attribute, but a work of art! Drawings on eggs are made with a special tool - a scribbler.

Whatever method you choose, it is very important to properly prepare for the process. The result will directly depend on this. And you can order all the ingredients you need, including eggs, in the Instamart service, there is an application for android and iphone - the first delivery is free.

  • First: never start boiling eggs without first taking them out of the refrigerator at least an hour or two before coloring. Eggs should be at least at room temperature so they don't burst during cooking. You can prevent the explosion of eggs in another way. They need to be pierced with a thin sharp needle. However, the first option is much easier and safer.
  • Second: when cooking, add 1 tbsp. l. table salt for 1.5-2 liters of water. It is believed that this is done so that the shell does not burst. In fact, it is correct to say that salt will prevent the protein from leaking out and forming white “growths” if the shell suddenly cracks.
  • Third: the eggs should be thoroughly washed, perhaps even using a dish sponge. This is done so that the paint lies more evenly. You can also wipe the testicle with soapy water or alcohol.
  • Fourth: you can paint eggs for Easter not only chicken, but also quail. It turns out very interesting and unusual! We also pre-keep them at room temperature, rinse and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Fifth: in order for the paint to hold better, vinegar (9%) is added during the dyeing process. On average, 1 tbsp. l. for 1.5 l. water.
  • Well, one last piece of advice. how to give already dyed eggs a festive look. Rub them, after wiping dry, vegetable oil.

How to dye eggs in onion skins

First: classics of the genre - onion peel and its variations

The traditional crimson, brown or dark yellow eggs are obtained by dyeing them with onion skins. In this case, both the husks of ordinary onions and red onions are used. When calculating the color, you can focus on such a hint. If you take the husks of 8 onions for 2 glasses of water, you get a red-brown color.

    1. Prepare the dye solution. To do this, pour onion peel into a pot of water.
    2. Bring to a boil and simmer for about half an hour.

    1. Let the broth cool down. During this time, he will insist.
    2. Strain the "paint", discarding the husk.

  1. Immerse the prepared eggs in the solution so that it completely covers them.
  2. Boil the eggs in onion broth over low heat "hard-boiled", that is, 12-15 minutes.
  3. Cool them down quickly cold water to make it easier to peel off the shell.
  4. If the eggs have not received the desired shade during this time, return them back to the coloring solution.

Second: a tandem of husk with brilliant green

Very interesting option- maroon-green or brown-brilliant eggs. For their execution, you will need onion peel, brilliant green (standard vial, 10 ml per 1.5 l.), nylon stocking (or gauze), gloves (to protect the skin of the hands from brilliant green).

    1. Break the husk into small pieces. You can also grind it in a blender.
    2. Washed eggs, while they are still wet, roll in the husk so that its pieces stick to them.

    1. Firmly fix the husk on the eggs with a nylon stocking.
    2. Put them in the boiling water.
    3. Add brilliant green to the water.

  1. Boil the eggs until hard boiled (12-15 minutes).
  2. Pass them on now ice water and release from capron.

Third: coloring in the husk with patterns

You can diversify the coloring with onion peel if you first apply a patterned figure to the egg and fix it with a piece of nylon. At the same time, to obtain a pattern, you can take what is at hand. For example, parsley leaves, parsnips, dill, peppermint, fresh or dried flowers. Dry material must first be soaked hot water and then apply on the egg.

The chosen motif - a leaf or flower, tightly fix with a nylon stocking (or bandage, gauze) and carry out standard staining with onion peel. Then remove the stocking, remove the stencil for the pattern, and an egg painted with onion peel, but with an imprint of a leaf or flower in the natural color of the shell, will appear.
By the same principle, you can decorate the dot with chaotic dots of the color of an unpainted shell. To do this, roll a wet egg before painting with onion peel in rice, crushed peas or millet, or attach a piece of lace to it. Fix the croup or lace patterned motif with stocking capron.

You can get a variety of patterns without using a fixing material:

  1. for straight lines in the natural color of the shell on the egg, put rubber bands on it for money;
  2. any pattern can be made from masking tape, plaster, self-adhesive paper, or simply paint the egg with wax crayons;
  3. eggs in the "cell" will turn out if you put on them mesh stockings or a vegetable mesh.

Methods with dyes - natural and not very

Fourth: gifts from nature - natural dyes

  1. Pour water into a 1.5 liter saucepan and put a natural pigment - the source of color.
  2. Bring to a boil, let it boil a little and leave to infuse for half an hour.
  3. Strain the broth, pour in 1 tbsp. l. 9% vinegar and put eggs in a saucepan.
  4. Simmer over low heat until at least tender (12-15 minutes). If the color is taken poorly - up to half an hour.
  5. If the coloring is not successful even within half an hour, leave the eggs in a saucepan with a coloring solution overnight.

Fifth: a scientific alternative to natural dyes - food grade dyes

Multi-colored eggs on young grass, what could be fresher and more attractive for Easter? To make them quickly and without special trouble, you can buy a special Easter set in the store. When choosing it, please note that dyes are different according to the method of application.
One of the options is exactly the paint that needs to be applied directly to the boiled egg. The other is a powder or tablet for diluting a colored solution. Eggs are lowered into it and kept there until the paint is taken.
The staining method must be indicated on the dye packaging. Ready to use liquid paint there is nothing complicated. It is applied to the prepared egg, evenly distributed and allowed to dry. The method of coloring with water-borne dyes in the general case looks like this:

1. Boil the eggs.

2. Pour 1 tsp into narrow deep containers (for example, glasses or tea cups) with cold water. vinegar (9%) and dilute the dye.

3. Put eggs in them. The solution should cover them.

4. Keep them there until they are stained.

5. Dry the dyes.

Sixth: with the world on a string - a colorful egg

A riot of colors in one egg is a method of dyeing with floss threads. Very simple and beautiful:

  1. Wrap multi-colored floss threads on a raw, room temperature, pre-washed egg. Combine colors and arrangement of threads as your fantasy tells!
  2. 2. Boil them in the usual way until hard-boiled (12-15 minutes).
  3. 3. Remove threads.

Seventh: fabric translators

Translate beautiful pattern from cloth to egg? It is quite possible. Just take the choice of fabric seriously. In our age of extremely developed chemical industry and the desire to reduce the cost of things at any cost, you can run into a fabric dyed by chemical means. Despite the beauty of the drawing on it, it is better to refuse to use it. Examples of permitted material are a Pavloposad shawl or a silk tie with an interesting pattern.

    1. Place the selected fabric with the right side on the egg. Secure it by stitching along the contour.
    2. From above, you can additionally fix the matter by wrapping the egg with a nylon stocking or white cotton cloth.

    1. Add 9% vinegar (3 tablespoons per 1.5 liter saucepan) to the cooking water and boil the hard-boiled eggs (12-15 minutes).
    2. Drain the water, cool the eggs and free them from the tissue. The drawing should appear with gentle contours on the shell.

We paint with the children

Both adults and children look forward to Easter with the same impatience. Give the kids the opportunity to make a beautiful craft egg and give it to, for example, grandparents. Being engaged in such creativity, we encourage the children's desire to make beautiful things and give it to loved ones. Moreover, it is very interesting and fun!

Eighth: craft egg

From krashenka you can make a perky chicken:

      1. Color the egg yellow food coloring. Although chickens can be of other colors: blue or pink, for example. Even a child from 3 years of age can cope with coloring with colored powders or tablets diluted in water. Of course, under the supervision and strict guidance of an adult.
      2. Cut out details for decorating a chicken from colored paper: eyes, wings, tail, beak, scallop. And also: a bow - if it's a girl or a bow tie, a tie - if it's a boy. You can also use decorative fluff from a needlework store. It turns out cool and very cute!
      3. Use gelatin glue to fix the prepared parts. To do this, soak the gelatin as indicated on the package. Drain excess liquid, and heat the granules until they dissolve. It is not necessary to bring to a boil.
      4. Apply gelatin glue with a brush on the details, the egg and gradually turn it into a chicken!

Ninth: funny faces

Show your children that you can draw on the egg in an unusual way. But since this is a product and it is then eaten, the paints must be natural. For example, it is very easy to make an edible "gouache" from cocoa powder. She can draw the face of an animal, the face of a funny weirdo, or even a portrait. Eyes can also be depicted, but it will be more interesting to glue ready-made ones from a needlework store.

      1. Boil the eggs. If necessary, color with food coloring, for example, if you are making a lion's face - yellow.
      2. Slowly pour warm water into a tablespoon of cocoa until sour cream is thick.
      3. Plant the finished eggs on stands, such as plastic bottle caps, and draw.
      4. Let the chocolate gouache dry.
      5. Then glue the eyes with gelatin glue if they do not initially have an adhesive base.

Tenth: wax crayons (pencils)

This is the way for children school age. Since you have to work with a hot, freshly boiled egg.

      1. Take them out of the pot, pat dry with a towel.
      2. Place the egg on a stand, such as a bottle cap.
      3. Start drawing with wax pencils. The wax will diverge from the heat and create bizarre transitions, overflows. Choose colors carefully!
      4. You can paint eggs in this way not only with pencils, but also with the help of sprinkling with wax crumbs. To obtain it, the crayons are rubbed on a fine grater. And then poured onto a hot, freshly boiled egg.
      5. And another way to decorate with wax crayons is to melt them and dip an egg into it.

Time saving

When a woman is not only a housewife, but also the main earner in the family, there is not so much time for home life. Moreover, Easter eggs are painted on Maundy Thursday. Until the weekend, this activity is not postponed. Therefore, in the absence of time, you can resort to "quick" ways to make Easter eggs.

Eleventh: thermal film stickers

Once and done - this is about one of the easiest ways to create an Easter mood using thermal stickers. How beautiful they are: with Gzhel-style painting, Khokhloma, with intricate patterns, butterflies, flowers, church plots, as well as rabbits, kittens and even children's cartoon characters! If you plan on using thermal stickers, choose smaller eggs. Otherwise, they simply will not enter the thermal basis. Stickers can be applied to unpainted boiled eggs, and also - use them as a backup option, if suddenly the shell cracked when painting with husks.
Please note: eggs in thermal stickers are stored less than, for example, dyed with husks or food coloring.

      1. Boil the eggs in the usual way.
      2. Put the thermal base on the egg and put it in a strainer.
      3. Dip the strainer in boiling water for a few seconds. As soon as the thermal sticker "hugs" it, pull it out.

Twelfth: holiday attire

Being one of the most important Easter symbols, the egg requires an appropriate outfit. So far, we have talked about its color, but you can do it differently. It is enough to wrap a boiled egg in bright foil. Voila! And it is in the spotlight. And in addition, it will be decorated with exquisite decoration.

      1. Boil the eggs.
      2. Cut multi-colored foil (sold in stationery stores) into rectangular pieces of such a size that it is enough to wrap an egg.
      3. Prepare decor elements or just use confetti.
      4. Wrap cooled eggs in foil. Attach decor to them with glue.

flight of fancy

If the standard traditional methods of dyeing eggs seem boring and monotonous, let your imagination fly and follow it like a white rabbit.

Thirteenth: the power of the rainbow

This method is a variation of food coloring. The combination of colors, the depth of staining, the number of layers ... All this is chosen individually. Therefore, such dyes are 100% original. However, in order for the eggs to turn out like in the picture, you need high-quality dyes that give rich colors. You need to breed them, following the instructions. Another tip: start with light colors, gradually resorting to the help of more and more dark ones, and finishing with the darkest ones.

      1. Boil the eggs.
      2. Take one and paint it completely in the lightest color.
      3. Dip the painted egg into the paint a tone darker, but not completely, but up to half.
      4. Wait for the paint to take. Then dry it.
      5. Then do the same, applying paint in layers.

Fourteenth: eggs "on style"

Easter, originally a religious holiday, has now become more secular. Therefore, eggs are not only traditionally painted red or a pattern corresponding to the holiday is applied, but they also approach this activity more simply and creatively. For example, eggs will be stylish if you apply a pattern to them with a permanent marker. You can come up with a coloring book yourself or get ideas from the Internet.

      1. Boil the eggs, be sure to hard boil.
      2. Set them on stands and apply the chosen pattern with a permanent marker.
      3. After finishing work, let it dry. This will take approximately an hour.

Fifteenth: stencil work

This method is relatively traditional. We find a stencil, apply it to the egg, paint it with natural or food coloring. A flight of fancy should manifest itself in the choice of a stencil. Here everyday experience, information from books, magazines, the Internet can come to the rescue. Or maybe you have family symbols. The main thing to remember is that the selected color and stencil should be in harmony with each other.

      1. Choose a stencil pattern.
      2. Apply it to ultra-thin paper (tracing paper).
      3. Moisten the paper so that it becomes plastic and can be easily applied to the egg.
      4. Firmly fix the attached stencil on the egg with a nylon stocking or bandage (gauze).
      5. When the preparation for coloring the eggs is completed, do it in any way: onion peel, food coloring. Only if the eggs are dyed with onion skins, they do not need to be boiled first. And if the method of coloring with food coloring is chosen, then they must be pre-cooked “hard-boiled”.
      6. Remove the fixing material and stencils from the finished cooled eggs.

Sixteenth: marble effect

Artistic flair will be needed for those who decide to paint eggs in marble color. It is not difficult to do this. The main thing is to choose colors beautifully and purchase high-quality dyes.

      1. Boil the eggs.
      2. Dye them in dye light tone: yellow, orange, blue. Let dry.
      3. Dilute in a deep narrow container (in a glass, tea cup) a dark-colored dye: purple, brown, dark blue. Add 1 teaspoon to each cup of dark solution. vegetable oil. Stir so that a spoonful of oil disperses into many small oil droplets.
      4. Dip light dyes in dark dye. It's ideal to do it once.
      5. Let dry. Marble eggs are ready!

Options for decorating ready-made dyed eggs

If the simple coloring of eggs is not enough and the soul asks for an artistic continuation, choose one of the proposed options. Turn paint into a work of art!

Seventeenth: 3D decor

Quite laborious, but worth it. To decorate eggs, you need wax or paraffin candle, as well as a variety of cereals, small pasta, confectionery dressing and whatever else your heart desires.

      1. Take the finished dye.
      2. Light a candle and use melted wax (paraffin) to apply a pattern on it. Do it very carefully. The flame should not touch the shell, otherwise a gray trace of soot may remain.
      3. Roll the egg in the material of your choice. You can also put decorative elements on the adhesive base with your hands.
      4. When the work dries, you can grease the decorated surface with vegetable oil for a more presentable look.

Eighteenth: sugar lace

Eggs in voluminous lace are very stylish, festive and go well with any traditional pattern on krashenka. To make them, you need powdered sugar (about a glass) and water. If powdered sugar is not at hand, you can make it yourself. To do this, you need granulated sugar and a coffee grinder.

      1. Slowly pour water into the powdered sugar so that a white mass of thick consistency is obtained.
      2. Place the decorative sugar mass into a confectionery syringe.
      3. Take the finished dye.
      4. Put a pattern on it.
      5. Let dry.

Nineteenth: decoupage technique

In order for a picture to appear on the dye, it is not necessary to apply a thermal sticker on it or transfer the pattern from the fabric. You can remember about the decoupage technique. It is designed to decorate not only plates and furniture, but it can also be transferred to the plane of Easter decor. To do this, we will have to use beautiful napkins or their elements and gelatin glue. To prepare the glue, gelatin is soaked according to the instructions on the package. Then the excess moisture is drained and heated, without bringing to a boil, until the granules dissolve.

      1. Take a pretty napkin. Tear out with your hands (without using scissors) an interesting fragment. Remove upper layer- we will use it.

      1. Prepare gelatin glue.
      2. Apply the selected fragment to the dye.
      3. Apply gelatin glue over the napkin with a brush. You need to do this from the center to the edges.
      4. Let dry.

Twentieth: drapanki

Colored eggs with a white pattern can be made not only by applying a stencil. The pattern can be scratched on the surface of an egg painted with onion peel with a clerical knife or a thick, sharp needle. This method is laborious, but applicable when it is planned to make a thin, elegant pattern on the egg, which is difficult to achieve by applying a stencil.

      1. Make dye with onion skins.
      2. Draw a pattern on it with a simple pencil. You can do without it if you feel confident or your hand is full.
      3. Walk along the line drawn with a pencil with a clerical knife, scratching the outline.

Easter is a family holiday that gives hope for the future and faith in a miracle. Touch and you a piece of beauty - choose the way you like and paint the eggs for the Easter table. There is only one minus in dyeing eggs according to the methods described. It can turn out so beautiful that it will be a pity to eat!

Good day everyone! Let me, on the eve of the most important Christian holiday, which this year will be celebrated on April 8, dedicate today's note, namely, it will carry information about various ways painting eggs for Easter.

In I showed you all kinds of crafts that you can also do right now. And also decorate your holiday table with them. But, all the same, not a single Easter is complete without delicious cakes and beautiful eggs. Agree? These are the real symbols of this celebration.

Therefore, I want to devote the first article this year to colored eggs. So that you are already ready for this today, and think about how quickly and easily you can decorate right at home and surprise everyone with your skill. After all, it is beautiful Easter eggs that will cheer everyone up and the holiday will definitely succeed.

I already gave you a lot of ideas on this topic. Wow, there are so many ideas that just if you go there to look, there you will hang out. The most common are, of course, methods in which natural dyes are used, namely various kinds of vegetables.

In one of the magazines, I saw such a great cheat sheet, save it to your wall so as not to lose it. It is with her that you will achieve that all your testicles will be painted in different colors without harm to your health.

Of course, we will also talk about natural dyes in more detail, but a little lower. Don't switch).

Before you start thinking about what and how to color the eggs yourself, I would like to remind you that you should not forget about the expiration dates of the eggs when you buy them in the store.

Now I suggest you color Easter eggs in the very first known way, probably even the most common, with food coloring. Take a package that is designed specifically for decoration.

There are 4 dyes in this bag. different colors. Therefore, you can take 4 jars at once in order to somehow quickly complete this work.

And of course, boiled sweets, which are already ready for work and defense.

Do everything as it is written in the instructions on the back of the package. You need to wash them before painting with baking soda(take 1 tablespoon of soda for 0.5 liters of water). Dye, dissolve the whole bag in half a glass hot water and add vinegar 9% 1 tbsp. Then lower the egg completely and hold for about five minutes.

I’ll tell you a secret, or maybe it’s not a secret, you can get more colors from this set, for this, just mix yellow with blue, you get turquoise.

Important! To make the dyes shine even more, wipe them with a napkin with vegetable oil.

To get purple, you can mix red and blue dyes.

I hope you remembered what you may have forgotten. You can decorate them decorative stickers. Beauty, awesome!

By the way, it is possible, after all, not to completely dip the whole egg into the dye, but only part in one paint, and part in another.

Of course, the kids will really like this activity, but do not leave them unattended, this is very important!

By the way, there is another little trick of how not to get your hands dirty, look at this photo.

There is another option, which is also made with food coloring, but using wax. But the essence is this, you will need to rub some part with wax, and then lower the product into the paint, where there is wax, it will not allow it to be painted. Thus, in this way it will simplify the task of painting with different colors.

There is another interesting new way, this is when liquid dye is directly dripped onto the eggs and immediately filled with water, so they turn out rainbow-colored.

Or another super option, wrap the testicles in a paper napkin, and then spray with colored liquid dyes from the spray gun, and leave to cool for 1 hour in this form.

What will come of it? But what, such beauty, and even marble.

I still really love the method with the help of thermal stickers, I told you about it in. In a nutshell, then you need to purchase these miracle stickers in the store and then, how to magically put them on a template and dip them in boiling water for 5 seconds.

There is nothing complicated, everything is as simple as twice two, in general hastily this method is a godsend.

Dyeing eggs in onion skins

Traditional and most inexpensive option is, of course, painting in the onion, in its husk. Moreover, if you want to get a good and saturated color, then you will need such proportions as 1 cup of husk plus 1 cup of water.

You need to cook this mixture for about an hour, and then place the prepared boiled samples there. It will turn out brown.

Well, another way of coloring is using various kinds of greens, such as parsley or dill. It seems funny, but it looks quite elegant and colorful.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • raw chicken egg - 10 pcs.
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • nylon stockings
  • different green leaves
  • threads
  • vegetable oil

Stages of work:

1. Gather or specially peel onion. Place the skins in a saucepan and cover with water. The more peel, the more saturated the color will be.

Lay a sprig of greenery or grass on the egg, make a square out of the stocking and rewind the sheet with it, tie it with threads.

2. It will turn out something like in this photo.

4. And then place the blanks that are already waiting for miracles.

5. Boil for 30 minutes, and then remove from the pan, let them cool, remove all excess and wipe them so that they shine with vegetable oil. Well, the truth is, these dyes look great, super!

This method can be used with any other options, I mean such a wrap.

We color Easter eggs so that they turn out to be marble

This method is similar to the previous one, onion peel is also used, only brilliant green is added to everything. It looks really cool, colorful and even I would say bewitching. Handsome people who will delight everyone and give smiles on their faces.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • raw white eggs
  • brilliant green

Stages of work:

1. So, compared with the previous description, here you can do it in a different way, for this you first need to wet the eggs and lower them so that the husk sticks to them, then tie them in gauze or a bandage. A stocking is even good for this.

2. And put another 1 tbsp of salt into the water and pour a little greenery or you can pour a whole bottle, it's still small. What a marvelous drawing turned out, and most importantly, it is different on each product. Fabulous!

If something is not clear to you, then I suggest you watch this video.

By the way, you can still get a marble effect, in another way, before painting, just lightly break the shell with a teaspoon and something cool will come out.

How to color eggs with natural products?

At the very beginning, I already gave you a similar tablet, I also show you such a sample in your piggy bank.

So, let's sort it out in order.

Important! Add vinegar everywhere to keep paints and colors stable.

1. Turmeric. You know this product, yes of course! What color do you think it will turn out? That's right, colorful with a yellow tint. About it, we will talk in more detail later.

2. Carrot. Bright orange and so pretty, wring it out, or rather use carrot juice. Hold the samples in this solution until the desired color.

3. Beets. Use beetroot juice, soak the testicles in it and get a raspberry or even pink hue after. But, here you have to hold it for 10 hours for the color to occur.

4. Coffee. If you don't have coffee, then take tea. The effect will be almost the same. Brew and hold in such a tea or coffee solution for a couple of hours. Here are my experiments with tea).

5. Spinach. It makes a cool green color, cut it into pieces and put it in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook until you get the desired result.

6. Cabbage. This method is also popular and safe for health. Use only a variety of cabbage such as red cabbage. That's just the time the eggs in the water should be 10 hours, so that they turn purple.

Here are my other results of experimentation, choose. Oddly enough, the years also came into play, I also tried to color Easter eggs with honeysuckle, I have it in the freezer for food.

Emerald eggs for Easter

A pretty good option still exists, which I want to offer you in this video. I hope everything works out for you, the author of this video shows the whole process of work in an accessible and step-by-step manner, so watch and repeat all the steps, I wish you good luck!

How to decorate eggs without dyes using turmeric?

A pretty good and interesting method, because such dyes turn out to be quite bright and seductive, see for yourself.

To get such a miracle, you need to take a glass = 250 ml of hot water and put 1 tablespoon of turmeric in it, stir. Allow this mixture to cool slightly, and then place eggs at room temperature in this solution so that they do not crack during the cooking process. Boil for about 30 minutes over low heat.

By the way, you can decorate them first in onion peel with a pattern, like leaves and twigs, and then lower them into a solution of turmeric and the pattern will turn yellow.

Using beets instead of dye

I think everyone knows about this method. Although there are actually three of these options, let's consider each of them. You can take absolutely anyone as a basis, see for yourself how much time you have.

1. You can take a fresh beetroot and use it to decorate your samples. How to achieve this, you first need to boil the eggs to a state of steep, and then follow these instructions.

Beets are peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater. Roll samples in this mixture, before rolling them, it is recommended to lubricate the eggs with vinegar essence so that the color is better fixed.

2. You can also use freshly squeezed juice of this vegetable.

Important! Please note that this method requires ready-boiled eggs.

You can pass beets through a juicer (in Ukraine they say beetroot), or you can do it yourself using a grater and gauze. After the juice is ready, put a couple of drops of vinegar into it and only after that place the eggs for 3-4 hours, you will get a beautiful pink color.

If you want the color to be bright burgundy, then leave the dye in this liquid to stand all night in the refrigerator.

3. Finally, we got to the third option, you need to boil the fruits of this purple vegetable in a saucepan, then add a spoonful of vinegar. Your calculation and proportions should be as follows: one large beet is taken for 1 liter of water. Place the finished samples in this liquid and leave to stain overnight.

And in the morning, you can get such a beautiful result.

Dyed pysanky made of fabric

We continue to be weird, last year the dyeing method was using ties, well, or you could take any silk fabric, the main thing is that it be natural. Ordinary cotton is also suitable, as long as it is colored.

And of course, you probably already guessed, you need to wrap an egg in a piece of cloth, and then dip it into water and cook for about 15 minutes with vinegar (pour about 3-4 tablespoons of it into 3 liters of water).

Do not forget to tie the fabric with threads, in general it turns out excellently. The main thing is that everyone will definitely like such a miracle. You can take it to the exhibition with you.

There is still such an option, this is when the material is taken in a mesh or with some kind of pattern, ornament, and also rewound on a Easter egg, and then you place the eggs in a solution with dyes or in some other, for example onion peel or beetroot.

Looks cool and pleasing to the eye. In general, what is needed for this Christian holiday.

Decoupage eggs for Easter from a napkin

This technique appeared not so long ago and gained momentum very quickly. This kind of craft, a souvenir. But, but what a luxurious, wow, well, just healthy and cool!

We will need:

  • napkins
  • scissors
  • PVA glue
  • tassel

Stages of work:

1. Take any paper napkin with a pattern, carefully cut out the pattern with scissors. Separate the bottom layer from it, slowly gently pick it up with your nails.

2. Prepare the glue for work and the brush.

3. Lubricate the surface of the pysanka with glue, and then attach the drawing and brush it with a brush. Let dry and lie down until full of charm.

We paint testicles from improvised means at home

Now I will tell you one secret, I'm joking of course. You are probably already thinking about, yes, it would be faster to grunt them already))). So, here’s what I’m talking about, because they are usually decorated with powder, and why don’t we use it right here, for these purposes.

The steps are not difficult at all. In order for the powder to stick to the shell, you will need egg white, coat the sample with it, and then roll it. This is such a miraculous transformation.

Of course, you can stick it on glue, but you can’t eat such an egg, so be careful.

A similar application technique is with all kinds of cereals. Funny face turned out).

Even legumes and pasta can be used here. Wow, you're great!

I also heard that they cover with nail polish, it looks cool and beautiful, but also not edible.

How to make such a job? Take a glass of water and draw any pattern you like on the surface of the water, and then completely lower the sample into this liquid.

There is another mind-blowing option using markers, or felt-tip pens. And take it on a water basis so that they are harmless. Draw faces or faces, maybe even your favorite cartoon characters.

Although such can even be attributed to the exhibition, if you try hard and be creative.

There are also ready-made eyes on sale now, which you can also easily place here.

You can also use acrylic paints for this purpose.

It also looks seductive, bright and pretty. The main thing is to have insight and inspiration, and then everything will work out for you.

If you don’t feel like it at all, and you don’t have the mood or time, then you can use another method. Remember in childhood everyone loved to pop bubbles, I'm talking about that packing paper, polyethylene. So you can make eggs colored using it.

If you are preparing a souvenir for someone, then you can decorate an egg using the quilling technique. Such work will take a lot of time and effort, but for the masters of this business it will not be difficult to arrange such a craft in such a way.

The next option is gold leaf coating, what is it, have you heard about it before? This is a paper that resembles foil, only it is golden. You can take an egg of any color, even an ordinary white one, and then put gold on it, glue it on PVA.

And to make it more convenient to create, you can make special coasters from foam and toothpicks.

In fact, they even make them completely golden, well, just like in a fairy tale about the chicken Ryaba, and the chicken laid an egg, and not a simple one, but a golden one ... Look, just don’t break it ahead of time))). This work is certainly laborious, because you need to do it anyway and smoothly so that wrinkles do not turn out.

I also remembered how one year, I glued masking tape, though I made different drawings and pieces out of it, and then placed it in a colored solution.

You can make up a whole story.

If there are children in your family, then I suggest you do this experience with them. Take baking soda and food coloring and mix them in a glass or bowl, respectively, place the egg in the same place. And then pour vinegar diluted with water together with the young researcher. Shhh will happen effervescent reaction, the baby will be delighted with what he sees.

Or at all safe way coloring, this is drawing with wax pencils.

That's all for today. Let me congratulate you all on the upcoming holiday and wish you all the brightest and brightest! Christ is Risen! Join my group and visit more often! Bye!

Sincerely, Ekaterina Mantsurova

Well, dear and beloved, are you already preparing for the feast of the Resurrection of Christ? Are you picking up recipes for Easter cakes, do you dream of curd Easter? Would you like to try something new and different this year? If there are no resources for global reforms, make some personal discoveries in the field of dyeing Easter eggs. Surely, from year to year you resort to the services of the same method of decorating eggs - so, maybe it's time for interesting achievements and interesting experiments? Let's figure out how you can paint eggs for Easter at all, and having figured it out, you will automatically find the most the right decision. Only - churn! – new!

How to paint eggs for Easter:

Coloring eggs with natural dyes

In the modern world, few people think about why it is worth giving preference to natural dyes, if it is much easier to go to the store, buy, pay, mix and get the result. The Pepsi generation, we grew up on the idea of “I want everything at once” and are not ready to spend even a little time if there is an opportunity to get almost the same thing, but at the same time not waste precious minutes. However, if you approach the issue of coloring eggs for Easter from the other side, you can find a lot of advantages in using natural dyes.

First and foremost, this is your health: it is clear that when decorating Easter eggs, the shell is colored, and food colorings, if they get into food, then in minimal quantities, but they do! Agree, if possible, it is worth making a choice in favor of health, neglecting issues of insignificant savings.

Secondly, natural dyes are always a miracle, magic, a mystery. Doing something with your own hands, watching with bated breath, waiting for the result and wondering what it will be - isn't this in the category of the miraculous? Do not forget that by calling the children for help, you will automatically increase the coefficient of magic: of course, sometimes small hands create unnecessary problems and troubles in the kitchen, but the happy laughter of children is worth it!

Thirdly, natural dyes are sometimes cheaper than purchased synthetic ones - what could be, for example, more budgetary than onion peel or a couple of spoons of black tea, free birch leaves or unnecessary walnut shells?

Let's instill in children a taste for another concept: natural, natural, healthy - it's fashionable, beautiful and modern. Personal example is the best science, so for this Easter we color eggs with what can be found in any kitchen!

onion peel

Perhaps it is onion peel - the most popular, simple and available remedy for dyeing Easter eggs. Thanks to this simple old “life hack”, you can get a completely diverse range of color shades - from light red to deep brown.

To work, you will need wax, a candle and a special tool - a scribe, which can be replaced with any metal tube of small diameter. Draw a drawing on the egg with a simple pencil, then, having filled the wax pen, heat it over the candle and circle the ornament you have chosen with the molten mass. After that, dip the egg into a glass with dye, hold for the required time, then remove the wax with a napkin, holding the egg over the candle if necessary - in those places that were closed, the shell will remain with its natural color, while the rest of the surface of the egg will be painted.

Using the same technology, you can make multi-colored Easter eggs. To do this, after the first layer of the wax pattern, dip the egg into the lightest paint (for example, yellow), soak required amount time, take it out, gently dry the egg, apply the pattern again, lower it to the next color in saturation (let's say red). Repeat the operation as many times as you want to get the colors. Remove wax only after the last coat of paint.

Do not look at very complex patterns right away. This, of course, is insanely beautiful and inspiring, but it’s better to start with primitive drawings, and then, having filled your hand, move on to more complex ornaments.

Decorative polyethylene films and thermal stickers

The modern industry with the motto "quick and easy" offers a lot of "high-speed" options for decorating Easter eggs. At Easter markets, supermarket layouts and market stalls, you can find the richest selection of stickers and thermal films for decoration.

With the first ones, everything is simple to the point of primitivism: I took it off the base, stuck it on an egg, put it on a plate and began to admire the result. It would not be superfluous to mention that it is still better to color the egg beforehand - small stickers on a white background look bare and dull.

With thermal films, you will have to make a few extra gestures: wrap the egg with the proposed “bag”, put it in boiling water, take it out in a minute - under the influence of temperature, special polyethylene shrinks, tightly wrapping the egg. Ready. A huge disadvantage of this method of cooking Easter eggs is the difficulty in cleaning: the film is very strong, and in order to extract the contents of the shell, you have to resort to using a knife or scissors.

Options, of course, of dubious attractiveness and sincerity, however, it is impossible not to mention them, because they exist and, probably, still have the right to life - for working mothers and women who have almost no days off, this is a good way out. However, if you have at least 10 extra minutes, it is better to give preference to some more “warm” and “lively” option.

Decoupage and other handmade ways to decorate Easter eggs

With minimal skills and love for needlework, Easter eggs can be decorated in a completely unusual way, using, for example, the decoupage technique. To do this, the surface of hard-boiled eggs must be degreased, then, if desired, painted with any suitable paints(for example, gouache). After that, dilute PVA glue and water in a 1: 1 ratio, cut out suitable motifs from napkins, remove the top layer and stick it on the egg. After drying, the eggs can be additionally covered with a layer of glue. If you are making decorative decorations, you should work with an empty shell, and cover the finished egg with acrylic varnish.

Those who know how to hold a hook in their hands can be advised to tie the eggs with openwork "cases" - it turns out incredibly tender and cute.

However, even if you take various beads, lace cuts, sequins, colored ribbons, beautiful ropes and decorate Easter eggs with all this stuff, it will be very vintage, festive, sincere and stylish.

Christ is Risen, dear ones! Have a beautiful Easter, bright colors and good mood!

Preparing for Easter is an occasion for creativity. In I told you how you can dye eggs for Easter using natural dyes, that is, juice various plants, vegetables, coffee or onion skins. But if you want brighter, more festive colors and some real fun, you can also use food coloring. I don't think it's harmful, because we already eat them in many foods, and the egg will still be protected by the shell.

Now buying food coloring is not a problem; before Easter, they are sold literally everywhere in special sets. Also in online stores or shops for confectioners a wide range - from helium to water. You can use what is at hand. Dry dyes from special Easter kits must be dissolved according to the instructions. And in the case of liquid ones - drop a few drops into water, adjust the saturation of the solution yourself as you wish.

And then the fun begins, because this is room for imagination. I think this kind of creative preparation for Easter is great fun with kids. In this article, I offer a lot of fun step-by-step egg coloring tutorials.

By the way, when preparing for Easter 2019, do not forget to cook.

Most often, for coloring with food coloring, eggs must be hard-boiled in advance. If you are doing some kind of multi-step dyeing, then it is best to use hot, freshly boiled eggs - the dye on them will dry instantly and you can proceed to the next step!

Preparation: how to dry dyed eggs

In order for the color of the egg not to deteriorate during drying, you can make a special stand by sticking a few needles or safety pins into a sponge or foam spat or something similar. If you are not a perfectionist, then you can also dry on a wire rack, but then there will be stripes where the egg will come into contact with the wire rack.

How to paint eggs with watercolor

Instead of watercolor, you can use food coloring and paint eggs with them according to the same principle.

Who said that to achieve beauty, you have to do something complicated? Watercolor is the best suited for scales - the same gentle, fluid and, by the way, quite natural. Just wet the brush well and watch the watercolor spread over the shell, blending with the other color. Very fun and beautiful!

You can make just streaks of watercolor, you can randomly paint. Watercolor loves unexpected mixes. Even simple blots on an egg will look very picturesque. All you need is a brush, water and paint. And the best news is that nothing can be messed up here!

No step-by-step instructions are needed here, just go with the flow. You may want to draw dots with cotton swabs or flowers, or maybe it will just be streams of different colors. Watercolor will show the way!

This can be a wonderful coloring lesson for a child. Show him how green is born from mixing yellow and blue. What happens when you spray paint on an egg. Use stamps or some of the techniques described above, for example, you can apply wax. Have fun!

The custom of painting eggs for Easter, and then giving each other bright eggs appeared, according to the Tradition, almost 2000 years ago. The Easter egg is a symbol of the Resurrection, miracle and joy.

Traces of the most famous ways of dyeing Easter eggs are lost in the depths of history. Initially, the shell was painted exclusively in red, but over time, the tradition has changed, and now no one can be surprised by mother-of-pearl, multi-colored, or patterned eggs.

Methods of staining and decorating exist great amount, and every year more and more new ones appear, which does not cancel the classic ones. And each has its own subtleties. However, in any case, before the procedure, the shell must be thoroughly washed and cleaned of contaminants, otherwise the color will be uneven.

How to dye eggs with onion skins

it traditional way paint eggs, which also does not require special costs. The color of the shell is obtained from yellow-brown to rich brown-red, depending on the concentration of natural dye in the broth. The more husks, the darker the eggs will be (usually housewives start collecting it a couple of months before Easter).

The more shells, the darker the eggs. Staining time is less affected.

The husks are placed in a saucepan and a decoction is made from it, after which they are allowed to brew. After that, you need to lower the eggs into the water with the husk, put on the fire and bring everything to a boil. After 10 minutes, the eggs will acquire the desired color. The advantage of this coloring method is that it uses natural, natural dye completely safe for the body.

How to dye eggs with birch leaves

It is not always possible to get fresh birch leaves for Easter, but dry ones are quite suitable for this method of staining, however, the effect will not be so impressive. The shell acquires a pleasant golden or yellow color. The broth should be insisted for at least half an hour, otherwise the eggs will turn out completely pale.

Eggs need to be lowered into warm water with leaves and put to boil. After the liquid boils, you must wait another 10 minutes, and then you can remove everything from the heat and set to cool.

Other natural dyes

In addition to the traditional onion peel and birch leaves, there are other ways to color the shell with natural products. What can be used?

Pour water into a saucepan with eggs, add a spoonful of vinegar, then boil with one of the following products: green apple peel, blueberries, beets, carrots, turmeric roots, walnut shells, red cabbage leaves, coffee, nettles, spinach, onions , lemons or oranges.

In order for the color to turn out even brighter and more saturated, you need to leave the eggs in the vinegar solution overnight in the refrigerator.

Coloring eggs with food coloring

Fans of environmentally friendly solutions can skip this chapter. because we will talk about chemistry. But in fairness, let's say that this is food chemistry, that is, completely safe. We are talking about ready-made dyes that are sold before the holidays in stores and allow you to achieve the most incredible colors and shades of the shell.

Using these dyes is very simple: just dip a pre-boiled egg into warm water with purchased powder and a small amount of vinegar and wait a few minutes. It is best to turn the egg in the container from time to time (twist it), otherwise an unpainted stain may remain at the point of contact with the bottom.

Dyes with a metallic sheen look especially luxurious, however, if you hold such an egg in your hands for a long time, a solid part of the shining pollen will remain on them.

Fantasy ideas for Easter eggs

If, before dipping the eggs in onion broth or food coloring, stick a patch or curly drawings on the shell, you will get a light pattern. The imagination of a person in this case is practically unlimited.

"Marble Eggs" You can, for example, make a marble pattern: attach boiled onion peel on all sides to the egg, wrap it in a cotton napkin, tie the ends and dip in water - the ornament turns out to be very beautiful!

Another way to create a marble pattern is to add a little vegetable oil to the container: then the paint will form decorative spots that look very impressive.

"Eggs in the speck." First, the eggs must be soaked, and then rolled in rice groats, then wrapped in a dense cloth (for example, nylon or gauze), tied in a knot so that the rice sticks to the egg, and boiled in onion peel.

"Grass". An egg turns out very beautiful if you stick it on it beautiful leaf(parsley, for example, or celery), wrap in a cloth and then boil in a decoction.

"Thread". If you wrap the eggs with a thread before lowering them into tinted water, you get an unusual and interesting pattern.

"Striped Eggs". Making striped eggs is easy enough, especially if you use food coloring. To do this, you need to prepare several solutions of different colors with the addition of vinegar to better fix the shade. After that, the pre-cooked egg must be dipped halfway into one of the dyes. You can hold it with your hands for the necessary time or do otherwise: pour a solution into a regular glass by about a quarter or a third and lower the egg there: it will be fixed and only half will be painted over. After that, turn it over and lower it into a solution of a different color. If the shades are "overlapped", it will turn out even more beautiful!

"Dinosaur Egg" Dry boiled eggs should be tightly wrapped in gauze, fastening the ends with an elastic band or tied with a thread. After that, the bundle is dipped into a solution with food coloring (especially good if it is dark green or brown). White streaks will remain from the gauze on the shell, while the rest of the surface will be well stained. The result is an imitation of the eggs of ancient reptiles.

"Wax". Melt the wax in a water bath and lower one half of the egg into it first, and then the other. After that, veins in any quantity or pattern are squeezed out around the entire circumference of the shell with a thread. After the wax hardens, the eggs are dipped in warm water with paint: only open spaces. If, after full staining, the wax does not lag behind well, then the eggs should be put in the refrigerator for a while.

"Silk patterns". Eggs are boiled with a small amount of soda, after which they are wrapped in pieces of silk and tied with a thread. The eggs are then boiled again in the same water as before. After removing the shreds, an interesting pattern will remain on the shell.

Some subtleties of the correct coloring of eggs

There are several subtleties that will allow you to achieve the perfect result when coloring eggs:

To make the paint lie more evenly, wipe the shell with alcohol or soapy water before the procedure. This will get rid of any contamination, and the eggs will turn out very beautiful;

To give the finished eggs a shine, they need to be greased with vegetable oil: the shell will simply shine;

If you just pulled the eggs out of the refrigerator, then before cooking and coloring, they should be given time to warm up to room temperature;

When using food coloring, do not add vinegar to purple or red water. It is better to first hold the egg in a solution of vinegar and clean water for a couple of minutes, and then dip it in the paint.

Why are eggs dyed?

The custom of painting eggs is associated with a legend according to which Mary Magdalene came with the good news of the resurrection of Jesus to the emperor of Rome, Tiberius. He did not believe the woman, saying that this simply could not be, rather egg will blush than he will accept her words for the truth. At the same instant, the egg that Mary held in her hand turned colored, after which the emperor had no choice but to recognize this miracle, like the resurrection of Christ. At different peoples there are versions of the origin of the tradition, but this one is accepted as the main one by Christians around the world.
