Provision of engineering communications for suburban settlements is a problem in most areas. Centralized water supply, sewerage, heating is possible only in suburban settlements adjacent to megacities. The solution to the problem of providing the population with water is in the hands of the citizens themselves, who organize autonomous sources of water supply in their area. It can be a well, a well to the first aquifers, an artesian well to water-resistant horizons.

Extracting water from a well using buckets is a rather laborious process. Ability to connect various technical means allows not only to mechanize, but also fully automate the process of supplying water to the house.

To automate the process of water supply, it is necessary to connect pumping station to the well.

Elements of the pumping station

An autonomous pumping station consists of the following elements:

  • self-priming centrifugal pumpproviding the rise of water from the well to the required height;
  • a hydraulic accumulator that provides water hammer mitigation, maintaining pressure in the pipeline (it is a container with a membrane and a pneumatic valve for air injection);
  • pipes and pipe fittings and connecting elements;
  • shut-off and control elements (valves, pressure gauges, pressure switches, check valves, etc.);

Principle of operation

The general connection diagram of the pumping station is shown in the figure. From the well, the suction pipeline goes to the pumping station. At the end of the pipeline in the well is located check valve with mesh filter. Shutoff valves and a coarse filter are installed in front of the pumping station. At the outlet of the station, a pressure gauge, a check valve, and a fine filter are installed. Further, through the pressure pipeline, water is supplied to consumers.

Through the pipeline from the well, the pump begins to pump water into the accumulator. Filling it up to a certain pressure, the pump turns off. When a faucet is opened, pressurized water enters the faucet, shower and other points of water consumption. When the pressure drops, the pump turns on and starts again pumping water from the well into the accumulator. Thus, when regulating the pressure in the system, the pump either works when water is consumed, or is turned off when all water consumers are blocked.

Before installing the station, you should decide on its location. should be close to the well. The pipeline from the well to the house must be laid below the freezing level of the soil with insulation and protection against frost heaving. Accommodation options:

  1. Special heated utility room: separate barn, utility room in the house or in the basement of the house. The most preferred option, as it allows you to carry out maintenance of equipment in a warm room at any time.
  2. In a caisson, which is a protective well located below the level of soil freezing. This option is less common. The caisson is insulated to prevent freezing of the soil in severe frosts, to prevent freezing, damage and failure of all expensive equipment.

Station installation

At self-assembly you need to know how to connect the station. The reliability and service life of the water supply system depends on the correct installation.

  1. Installation of a pumping station. It can be installed on an L-shaped bracket fixed on the wall of the room, a special podium on the floor where the station is located. The station is located, focusing on the direction of the pipeline to the well, so that there are no unnecessary bends. The station must not come into contact with the wall. Under the paws of the station, you can install rubber pads to eliminate vibration noise during operation.
  2. Installation of the entrance to the station. Through adapters, a coarse filter, a check valve, shut-off valves, a coupling for switching to a plastic pipeline are mounted in the station to the inlet.
  3. Suction pipe installation. At the end of the pipeline, which is located in the well, a metal mesh and a check valve are installed. For laying the pipeline, a trench is dug to the depth of freezing, in which a water pipe is laid. Pipes are laid on a sand cushion and covered with sand. With a large depth of freezing, the pipeline is insulated. Pipes are brought into the house and attached to the adapter.
  4. Installation of the outlet pipeline. flexible hose from the accumulator is connected to the pressure switch. At the outlet, a fine filter, a check valve, shut-off valves, and couplings for the pressure pipeline in the house are connected with rigid pipes.

Before the test run, water is poured into the pumping station. This is necessary in order to prevent the pump from running idle.

The pump is connected to the mains and started. All locking elements must be open. All connections are checked for leaks.

Scheme

It is not worth talking about the problems of centralized water supply. Even those who are already connected to a common highway face this. From this point of view, the owners of private buildings are in a more advantageous position than the owners of city apartments, since they have freedom of choice. And it is often much easier to equip an autonomous one than to run around the authorities and resolve the issue of the quality of the supplied water and its pressure.

If the site already has such a source as a well, then it is more expedient to automate the water supply process than to carry it out by carrying buckets. To do this, it is enough to install and connect a pumping station, and an extensive range of similar products allows you to make the best choice of model for any individual site and structure.

Some people who have not previously encountered such issues do not understand what is the difference between a conventional water pump and a station. We can say that it is about the same as between an internal combustion engine and a car. In other words, this full set what will ensure both the operation and protection of the pump and the entire system from all sorts of "troubles".

We will not go into the intricacies of execution various mechanisms. Whatever technical solution However implemented, the station is a complete device that only needs to be included in the system. For all models, the connection diagrams are basically the same.

It must be securely fixed in place, otherwise its displacement cannot be avoided during operation, and this is a break in the joints and depressurization of the system. Therefore, next to the well, it is necessary to prepare a solid "pedestal". Concreting a small area is not a big deal.

It is only necessary to take into account that, firstly, the station must stand without any distortions. Therefore, it is necessary to achieve evenness of the surface. Secondly, during operation it will have to be serviced and repaired. This means that there should be free space around, providing a free approach to the unit from all sides.

If the station is installed on the site, then measures must be taken to protect it from the influence environment. First of all, low temperatures. Therefore, you will have to mount something like a small “warm” house, inside which you can work (maintenance, repair).

The station can also be placed in the house, if there is a suitable place for this. This option is better, as the station will always be warm, sheltered from rain and snow, and its maintenance will be much easier regardless of the weather and season. But you need to take into account that during operation it makes noise. How much depends on the model and type of pump.

Installation of the input line

The station is connected to the well either with a strong, rigid hose or pipe. The length is chosen in such a way that its end immersed in water rises above the bottom by about 25 - 30 cm, otherwise the line will silt.

Further: when the pump is turned off, water can go through the pipes to reverse direction(the pump will remain dry), and after switching on, it will “idle. To exclude this, it is installed on the pipe, closer to its end. And at the end, a coarse filter is necessarily mounted. As a rule, this is a mesh, and it is better from polymers, since such products do not rust.

The other end is connected to the pump inlet. It must be taken into account that the pipe must go from the well to the station with some "increase". Therefore, the platform must be raised to an appropriate height.

The cross section is selected depending on the diameter of the pipe. All threaded connections must be sealed, otherwise water leaks and air leaks cannot be avoided. The latter will cause interruptions in the operation of the pump, therefore, water will enter the system in fits and starts, if at all.

Outlet line installation

Its pipe is connected to the station in the same way.

Power connection

First of all, the station must be grounded. This requirement applies to all such units. The cable is connected according to the "disconnection" scheme of the pump, which is in its accompanying documentation.

Needless to say, all pipelines must be laid and insulated in such a way as to prevent them from freezing.

In the absence of a centralized water supply, it is possible to bring living conditions in a private house or country house closer to maximum comfort by improving the water supply system. This is quite easy to implement if you organize the connection of the pumping station to the well, the scheme may differ slightly, but, in general, this process involves several general steps.

As such a pump, you can use the Malysh pump, which has established itself as an inexpensive and reliable unit.

How to do a test run

The main condition for this is filling the pumping station with water, including all lines, as well as a hydraulic accumulator. Water enters the device through the filler hole. Turning on the power and starting the engine is done after the stop valves have been opened. After that, water gradually fills the pressure pipe. This is necessary in order to force all the air out of it. The result is an increase in pressure. As a rule, this parameter can take values in the range from 1.5 to 3 atmospheres; upon reaching the limit mark, the equipment turns off.

Thus, the effective operation of such equipment is ensured not only by right choice model suitable for operation in certain conditions, but also a competent connection. And for this, it is first decided where the equipment will be installed, after which a hermetic connection of the equipment with the internal and external pipelines is organized.

There are quite a few options for connecting a pumping station to a water source in the country, but almost all of them are applicable to private residential buildings. The dacha building, as a rule, is executed according to the “light version”, without a plinth, utility rooms etc.

Plus - the modest size of the site does not allow installing the station, for example, in a special technological well (it needs space!).

Based on this, there is only one reasonable option - to put a pumping station in a caisson (or "house"). Here's how to do it right and mount the entire water supply circuit, and let's talk.

The connection diagram below is the same for all stations, regardless of which model is purchased. The difference can only be in the details, which the manufacturer must inform the user about. Therefore, before proceeding with the arrangement of the system, it is necessary to read the instructions for the product.

Location selection

To begin with, let's answer the question, why exactly a caisson? After all, it is much easier to mount on a flat area and cover, for example, with a film, a canopy or something else.

Firstly, many start the summer season quite early. Plus - in the spring it is no longer uncommon, when even in May the temperature can drop below 00. To insure yourself against various accidents, it is advisable to install the station in an enclosed space (and therefore, additionally at least somehow insulate).

Secondly, not a single canopy will save you from slanting rain, but strong wind will not withstand any coating.

Thirdly, the less the station will "an eyesore", the better. Unfortunately, there are more than enough people who want to profit at someone else's expense, and security in most garden partnerships performs mainly a purely decorative function, and there is little sense from it.

In order not to carry out earthworks, you can assemble a box with a lid, and hang a lock on top. In principle, a good option. Or just like in the picture.

What to consider:

  • Distance to the well. Less is better. This will save some money on laying the underground part of the pipeline. In addition, any trench is a deepening into the soil. There is a risk of damage root system plantations.
  • House dimensions. Have to do it periodically maintenance unit, and even repairs. Will it be convenient to “crawl from all sides”?
  • The installation site must be level. Distortions lead to increased vibration and intensive wear of parts. Therefore, it will have to be concreted and embedded with pins for rigid fixation of the station.

Installation of the route to the well

Laying the highway across the territory (from the station) is a personal matter for everyone. But the pipeline is mounted to the reservoir in compliance with certain rules. There are few material options - either a pipe or a hose. But both are better. The pipe - to the well, the hose - inside, to the bottom.

In the figure, the station is located in basement. But the connection principle is the same when installed in a caisson.

What to consider:

  • The end of the line, lowered into the well, should rise above the bottom by about 25 cm, no less. Otherwise, you will have to constantly deal with the dismantling and washing of the suction filter (it is also called “coarse cleaning”).
  • If a pipe was used, then at the entrance to the well there should be a connection of knees. Otherwise, how then to take out the same “sump” or check valve to the surface for maintenance?
  • It is more expedient to put a filter made of plastic mesh. Why, it is clear - unlike metal, it does not corrode and will last longer.
  • Check valve. At the end of the pipe () after the intake filter. Its purpose is to prevent water from leaving the system into the well after the station is turned off. Otherwise, after the start of its operation, the pump will operate on a “dry run”, which is often the cause of its premature failure.
  • Careful sealing of all joints. Otherwise, "airing" of the line cannot be avoided.

Station connection

  • Only through the automatic protection.
  • Grounding - in without fail. This means that you will have to mount the appropriate circuit (the simplest "triangle" of metal pins).

When choosing a station, you need to pay attention to the type of ejector. When connected to a well, it is better to purchase with a remote one, since hydraulic structure it is at least 15 m away from the house (according to the rules). But only if a route (pipe) is brought into the building. If the tap is located outside the house, then this is not important, although it creates certain inconveniences in the operation of the system.

The station kit may not include components such as an inlet filter and a check valve. If so, then you should check with the seller if they are on sale, and “buy”. In their absence in this moment ask where you can (and which ones) to buy.

Before buying a station, it is necessary to calculate the required values of its main parameters (pressure, productivity). It makes no sense to take a product “for growth” and overpay for it. As well as buying a low-powered and cheap model that simply won't do the job. This takes into account not only the depth of water intake, but also the length of all the "threads" of the irrigation line mounted on the site. Optimal for a well - from 1 to 1.5 kW (the most common installation option).

The article explains everything clearly and in detail. Now it's up to you, dear reader. Good luck!

In order to avoid additional expenses, it is quite possible to undertake the installation of equipment for wiring communications on your own. However, it is important not to forget to follow a number of rules and recommendations for installation, then connecting the pumping station to the well with your own hands will be done as competently as possible.

About the design and principle of operation of the equipment

This type of technique is quite a large number of executions. Accordingly, it may differ slightly depending on the selected model. But the drive and the pumping unit itself always act as the most important nodes. Considering the last of these elements, we can distinguish the following varieties of it:

  • with ejector;
  • without ejector.

Moreover, in the first variant, the division into two subtypes is again assumed: with built-in and remote ejector. According to the design of the drive, the following versions can be distinguished:

In the case of the first of the options, a higher degree of efficiency of the equipment is noted precisely due to the presence of a hydraulic accumulator in the design. In addition, the principle of operation is based on the operation of a pressure switch, by means of which the equipment is turned on and off, depending on what pressure level is currently recorded in the system.

The accumulator inside is divided into two separate cavities, between which a partition is installed. This allows water and air to be pumped in at the same time. The higher the water level in one of the compartments, the greater the pressure value achieved at the outlet of the pumping unit. And this, in turn, has a very positive effect on the speed of water movement through the communications system from the well to housing.

main feature characterizing the work storage tank equipment instead of a hydraulic accumulator, it consists in lower productivity due to the natural supply of water from the reservoir to the consumer. The water level in the tank is controlled by a special float. When it sinks to the bottom, the pumping station turns on, as the tank fills, the equipment turns off. However this species devices are obsolete due to a number of shortcomings, including: large dimensions, installation complexity, insufficient work efficiency.

Site selection for installation

In addition to the installation itself, it is necessary to perform preparatory work, in particular, the search for a suitable location for the location of equipment. Along with this, before you connect the pumping station to the well at a depth with your own hands, you should evaluate the proposed site for compliance with the following rules:

  • it is advisable to install the equipment not too far from the well, which will allow pumping water with a slightly greater uniformity;
  • regardless of which room in the house was designated for the installation of such equipment, it is important that it is well heated, which means that the location of the pumping unit on the street is a bad idea;
  • it is highly recommended to organize in the room, in addition to high-quality thermal insulation, also sound insulation, as this will reduce the noise effect during operation of the equipment;
  • it is also good to choose a room of sufficient area to provide access to equipment for emergencies or maintenance.

as the most suitable option how to connect the pumping station to the well itself, the following solutions are usually used:

The scheme for connecting a pumping station to a well should be based on the characteristics of the unit itself, as well as on the configuration of the water supply system at home. All these factors together will help determine the most appropriate location for the device.

Connection sequence

For a stable position of the machine and protection in the event of ground water usually a small pedestal is erected from bricks or using a concrete mixture (formwork is required for the latter option) . But it is better to install the pump on a rubber mat laid on top of a previously prepared base, fixing it with anchors. This will reduce the effect of vibration that occurs during operation of the device.

Most often, for the correct operation of the device, the manufacturer prudently equips the mechanism with a protection unit against the so-called, and in addition to that, with a receiving valve. Then it remains only to connect the communications to the inlet and outlet of the pumping unit. This work is usually done using fittings of various configurations.

Depending on which one is used connection scheme: one-pipe or two-pipe, the installation process will be slightly different. But none of the options involves the installation of a pumping station in the well. Only fence communications are brought there. The main stages of connecting equipment with pipes laid in the mine of a water source:

  • in the immediate vicinity of the well, a trench is being prepared with a depth reaching the level of soil freezing; it will be used to connect to the water intake communications of the well;
  • further, by means of an angular connecting element, a connection is made between the water intake pipe in the well shaft and the pipe leading to the intake pipe of the pumping equipment.

If the connection is based on a two-pipe scheme, how to connect the pumping station to the well in this case? To connect communications to the intake hole, you need equip the ejector with a coarse mesh filter, on the other side of this node is going to be driven off. For this, several transition joints can be used to obtain the desired diameter value. The connection of the drive and the plastic pipeline is carried out by means of a bronze coupling.

You should consider in more detail the process of how to connect a pumping station to a well:

  1. In the case of connecting a single-pipe circuit, a head for the casing is used, but when a two-pipe version of the device is mounted, it is problematic to find such a head, respectively, best solution in this case there will be a pipe bend with a smooth slope.
  2. When communications are lowered into the well, it is necessary to calculate the depth of their installation as accurately as possible, for which one of the pipes should be lowered to the very bottom. And, having made a mark, subtract 1 m, so you can protect the filter mesh at the end of communications from rapid contamination with silt and sand, and the water itself will best quality if the pipe does not reach to the very bottom.
  3. Above it was considered how to assemble an ejector. Accordingly, at the next stage, polyethylene pipes are connected to this node.
  4. Then there is a connection at the elbow section of the pipe with corner fittings, to which external communications are already connected. Carry out sealing free space You can use mounting foam.
  5. One of the last stages of work is the immersion of pipes connected to the ejector to a depth sufficient for normal operation.
  6. To casing pipe the head of the knee is attached; for strength, reinforced plumbing tape can be used.

An example of a homemade option

A trench is also being prepared for laying communications leading to the house, the depth of which is below the freezing level of the soil. When connected to a water supply system, a valve is installed at the outlet of the pumping unit, as well as a deep filter. In the area after the filter element, it is recommended to install another valve. It is advisable to tighten all threaded connections with an adjustable wrench.

There is information about a coarse filter for a pumping station here. What is it and what is its function.

After all the work has been done, in particular, connecting to the internal water supply and intake communications, for reliability, the functionality of the equipment should be checked in test mode. You just need to pass water through the filler hole so that it fills the pumping station, including pipes and a hydraulic accumulator. When the shut-off valves open, the machine's motor starts. This leads to the beginning of the process of filling the pressure pipe until all the air has escaped. The automatic shutdown of the unit occurs at the moment when the pressure reaches a certain value, which varies from 1.5 to 3 atm. depending on the model.

So for effective work local system water supply at home or cottage is not enough just to choose suitable equipment, it is important to connect it to the well and the internal communications of the housing. At all stages of installation, you should carefully monitor how tight the threaded connections are, since air entering the system will lead to equipment malfunctions.
