We wrote earlier. Now let's talk about home version New Year's shooting.
Our family has a kind of New Year's tradition - on the 1st of the afternoon, when everyone wakes up and has breakfast with the remnants of salads, arrange a joint New Year's photo shoot under the tree. In my biased view, the tradition is remarkable in many ways. Firstly, the whole family is almost certainly in the collection, and not only those living in the apartment, but often grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives. Secondly, anyway, on January 1, you don’t want to do anything very active, often you don’t want to go anywhere. Thirdly, all New Year's accessories are also right here, you don't have to carry anywhere, you don't have to get them from anywhere.
I have little experience, and I am not a professional photographer, but our photo session is not professional, but homemade, as a keepsake. Anyone can shoot here, and for this it is absolutely not necessary reflex camera, a compact or even a phone will do.
I'll give you some advice.
Light and place
First, no matter how late you get up on January 1, try to catch daylight hours. Of course, for a photo session it is not necessary to choose the first day of the new year, you can arrange it on any day of the holidays or, also a good option, on the eve of the holiday, on the morning of December 31, to immerse yourself in the New Year's atmosphere.
Choose the brightest place in the apartment. Where do you have the most big window? Here, in front of him, the photo zone should be located, facing the window. Remember, the simpler your camera, the more important good daylight is. Most phones and compacts take great pictures in bright light. daylight and very poor quality under artificial lighting.
Now a little about the organization of space. It is very important that there is no unfolded clothes dryer or a table with dirty dishes in the background. Since it is difficult to organize a good backdrop in an apartment, I recommend shooting closer to the floor and at close range, large portraits. Take, for example, two chairs, put them with their backs to the window, hang the largest blanket that you have on the chairs, spread another blanket on the floor in front of the resulting wall and throw pillows on. Everything, the photo zone is ready. Small benches, binbags (such pouffes-armchairs), small coffee tables. Well, the tree! If you manage to include the Christmas tree in the frame - just fine. And she makes a great backdrop!
Accessories
Plaids! Plaids are our everything! Warm woolen blankets give the feeling of winter and warmth at the same time, home comfort. And the famous IKEA red and white New Year's blanket is in every photo studio. For example, I also have it at home, and I actively use it for filming. But any others are also suitable, except, perhaps, children's motley ones. For a small child, even clothes can be used as a backdrop, for example, mother's terry dressing gown, if it is of the right color.
Winter clothes. Get out your warmest sweaters, all your furry or fluffy hats, granny's knitted mittens, leg warmers and warm leggings, woolen socks and scarves. Everything will go. Some of the photos can be made foolish. Tips for choosing clothes are the same as for a professional photo shoot.
Christmas toys . Both Christmas and simple decorative ornaments with a New Year's theme: balls with snow, houses, tinsel, crackers and the rest. For example, during one of these shootings, artificial snow went great, however, there was a lot of cleaning afterwards.
Just big Stuffed Toys. Again, avoid neon-colored toys. White and beige hares and cubs will make an excellent company for the child in the photo. Or maybe the grandmother wants to be photographed with a big fluffy.
Children's books on New Year's theme. Surely there are in every house, and with them very cozy photos are obtained.
Cups and glasses. A cup of hot tea, a glass of champagne, New Year's cookies or even sandwiches with red caviar - it will work delicious photo. And don't forget the tangerines!
Pets. What is a photo session without a cat and a dog?
And just start inspecting your apartment in advance. What else might come up? For example, I would really like to have time to buy a stepladder before the New Year, in my opinion, a great accessory for shooting near the Christmas tree. Maybe you have a beautiful chest? You can put "gifts" there and shoot how the children open it. Or you can use a sled! Yes, yes, at home, on a blanket. It turns out funny and beautiful.
Shooting examples
Have everyone sit very close, in a tight group, in a bunch, on each other's knees. The photos are more "hugging" and warmer than when everyone is sitting in a row on the couch and hardly touches each other.
Focus on details. Shoot so that the main photo was a cup or a book.
It's great to shoot children by laying them on the floor. Throwing it in a box. Throwing pillows.
Sprinkle the person you're filming with confetti or fake snow.
Give the kids lots of candy! Photos with sweets are very cheerful :) . And completely sincere. In any case, fool around, try to cheer everyone and everyone, the pictures will be much livelier.

- Take care of hair and makeup in advance. Sign up to the salon yourself and take care of the haircut for your loved ones. After that, the husband, children and you will look beautiful, stylish and well-groomed in the photo. By the way, this rule is valid for all photo shoots.
- We proceed to the most important thing - to the images during the shooting. General rule there is one thing - since the photo session is family, then the style of clothing of the whole family should be the same. For a photo session lasting one hour, two images are enough. The first image is secular and festive. Choose an elegant dress or suit for yourself, and a festive shirt for your husband. For children, choose outfits similar to yours - then you will get cute photos of mom and dad's copies.
Families dressed in the same tone look very nice (mother's dress matches the color of dad's shirt and children's outfits). The second image is homemade, denim. It can be plaid shirts and jeans, or maybe everyone will have plain T-shirts with New Year wishes or a family motto. 
Knitted things look cool - sweaters with New Year's symbols - deer, snowflakes. If you manage to get the same sweaters for all family members, generally cool photos will come out.
