Danfoss PCM microprocessor control modules are designed to control operation, monitor and prevent emergencies at pumping stations in heating, cooling and water treatment systems. This line is made on the basis of a freely programmable MCX controller with pre-installed software.

Distinctive feature of these controllers is the ease of configuration and integration into integrated automation systems of heating points. PCM devices are synchronized with any supervisory control and management system. PCM RP is a controller for controlling one or two pumps in a group, it provides support for the required volume of liquid in the main system due to its replenishment. Management of a group of three pumps, when two pumps (50% and 50%) are working simultaneously, the remaining of the three is standby. Rotation of pumps is provided. Switching between pumps is carried out:

  • by accident;
  • by hours of work.

The operation of the CP module begins with the start of the pump with the fewest operating hours. After a set time interval, the next pump starts. Each of the operating pumps, having worked out a given period of time (period of operation), stops. The backup (non-working) pump is started at the moment.

So, having started first and having worked out a given period of time (period of operation), pump 1 stops. Now he is a backup. After a specified time pause, pump 3 starts. Pump 2 was started after a pause after the start of pump 1, so it will stop later than pump 1. After a specified time pause after pump 2 has stopped, the current standby pump 1 starts. Pump 2 is now standby. When the third pump has worked for a predetermined period of time (operating period) and stops, after a predetermined time pause, pump 2 will start up, and pump 3 will become a backup.
