What happened to the PMC fighters in Syria. Andrey Medvedev's opinion (VGTRK) (2 photos)

True, I have already learned to restrain my emotions both in life and on the court.

November 2001

The other day, the Ukrainian tennis player, after a long break, took part in the Open Championship of St. Petersburg, where in the first match he beat the experienced German Tommy Haas

The last week turned out to be very eventful for Andrey Medvedev. After a many-month break due to an injury, the strongest tennis player of Ukraine decided to take part in competitions and went to one of his favorite tournaments - the Open Championship of St. Petersburg. But he got there with great adventures. The Tu-154, on which Medvedev flew from the Moscow Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg, after a few minutes of flight, suddenly began to shake so much that the crew decided to return to the Moscow airfield. What the passengers experienced in those few minutes is hard to even imagine. It's better not to even try. After what happened, Andrei prudently reached his destination by train. Moreover, the next day Medvedev created a real sensation and proved once again that it is too early to write him off. In the opening match, he beat the strong German tennis player Tommy Haas, who became the champion of two prestigious tournaments on the eve of the St. Petersburg championship.

"In St. Petersburg, I was very warmly received. Besides, I met friends whom I had not seen for a long time," said Andrey, who, after the second round of the meeting with Kubek, unfortunately, had already covered his rackets and left northern capital. By plane!!! - I was very tired because I was playing that night. The match started late (at 11 pm - Auth.), I slept only an hour and a half and when I flew home on a plane, I was, let's say, not quite in my right mind. We were shaken again, but those passions that we experienced during the flight to St. Petersburg were gone. We flew normally, everyone is alive and well."

When, by the will of fate, you find yourself in a bind, you probably begin to look at many things differently. So we decided to learn the ABC of Life of Andrei Medvedev.

Cars.

“In cars I prefer comfort and safety. For several years now I have been driving a black Mercedes jeep (still with the same brand name - a bear on a spare tire. - Auth.). Recently, another Mercedes appeared in my garage - a passenger car. But more often I still prefer a jeep. It is more representative. By the way, sitting behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, I absolutely did not feel the speed. The fact is that I am no stranger to speed. I myself own quite a lot of very fast cars, and acceleration in the car it's the same as in those cars. But for me, the main thing is not speed - first of all I prefer safety and comfort. You won't surprise me with speed. I don't understand people who drive a car through the streets. And in the car I was just pleased drive along Khreshchatyk - great amount people, everyone is looking at you, at this car ... In general, I, of course, received a certain adrenaline rush.

Wealth.

"Money gives me independence. But at the same time it brings a lot of trouble. I have never been involved in accumulating money and will never do it. I live for my own pleasure."

Love.

“Very good condition. I strive for it almost every day. It doesn’t always work out, but I’m not offended. For some reason, many magazines for women present me as some kind of unfortunate person looking for love. I am the most happy man in Kyiv! And I'm doing very well. Girls love me and I love them too. Since about May of this year, for the first time in eight years, I have been alone - I do not have a girlfriend. For some reason, many perceive this as a tragedy. But just not me. If we talk about plans for the future, then I, like all normal people, want to meet my soul mate and start a family. Well, do not cry and do not look for her every day! I think we will find each other. And I think it's stupid to put marriage ads in women's magazines."

Sin.

"I consider betrayal the biggest sin. Fortunately, I rarely had to deal with this. If you are sincere with people, you can protect yourself from betrayal. The main thing is to perceive people as they are, and not try to make something more or something less out of them ( "Bad means bad. Good means good. The main thing is to be honest yourself. If every person does this and lives according to the right principles, then we will not have a weapon in society , no deceit, no betrayal In my life I have met more often good people. Somehow I do not want to believe that the people with whom I communicate can be bad. At least they didn't do anything to me."

Friends.

"Friends for me are everything. I live for them, I'm ready for a lot for them. For friends and family. These are people who give me energy. I hope it's mutual. And for them I'm ready for anything. Except betrayal."

Food.

"I love everything home-made. I can only be surprised by high-quality home-cooked food. When people cook at home, they cook with soul. And although I'm not a chef, I know how to cook this or that dish. Unfortunately, I eat mainly in restaurants I practically don’t deny myself anything, I just try not to eat a lot of fat.Favorite dishes are potatoes with a piece fried meat. I love potatoes in any form. I love selflessly, just like Coca-Cola. From salads I like Olivier. You will not hear any exotic names of dishes from me. Of course, I really like Japanese and Italian cuisine..."

Life creed.

"It's even hard to say ... Probably, I have more than one. There are certain principles in life that I adhere to. They practically do not differ from the Bible: do not kill, do not deceive, and so on. Nothing special. Live right and do not offend anyone ".

"By the spring I think to enter new house. The court will only be there over my corpse"

Envy.

"I have never encountered envy. I believe that every person should concentrate on himself. Then, if he reaches some heights in his industry, it simply will not make sense for him to envy the rest. Let's say if you are a journalist, if you just try to day, then you will certainly become a star of journalism. What is the point of envying, for example, a businessman, politician, athlete, artist? I have, but I don't. "The main thing is to work, go forward, then you will definitely achieve a lot."

Flat.

"My apartment, my house - this is my tank, with strong and reliable armor. This is the place where I can relax, unwind, forget about all the problems. At the same time, this is the place where, communicating with loved ones, I accumulate energy "For me, communication with friends, family is the most important thing in life. By spring, I'm thinking of moving into a new house - here in Kyiv. It's very beautiful place lake nearby. Kort will only be there over my dead body."

Lie.

"Of course, I have a negative attitude towards lies. But there are such deceptions that can be allowed in the circle of close people. Well, let's say, acceptable changes in the truth. This will not be a pure lie. I had to lie. And quite often, until I reviewed my behavior After all, it's easier to tell the truth than later to get confused about what really happened, and what I came up with myself. In order to sleep peacefully at night, I stopped lying. A long time ago. I realized that no matter how bitter the truth was, everything is better “Don’t lie, so that later there will be no complications in yourself.”

Mystic.

“I don’t believe in omens. Although I used to believe. 13 is my favorite number. Now I want to go buy a cat. Maybe even a black one. Prophetic dreams, maybe I dreamed about it, but somehow I don’t pay attention to it. I go to bed to watch the movie. And that's it. Actually, I don't consider myself a superstitious person. And superstitious, maybe in the fact that I'm not superstitious. I don't want to be addicted. For example, from the cleanliness of the spoon, from the weather, from the amount of gasoline in the car ...

"I always told my friends in America that the Americans will jump and there will be grief in their country"

Hatred.

“I hate betrayal. I hate it when people are killed. I hate it when people lie. And they lie en masse. There is a certain category of people belonging to the tops of power who lie to entire nations. I can’t believe what is happening in America now. I am not a predictor, but I always told my friends in America that the Americans would jump and they would have some kind of grief in their country.First of all, because of their behavior, because of their politics, because they considered themselves the most the best. And, unfortunately, this happened. What kills me even more is what the Americans and the British are doing now. There is a stupid bombing, mass destruction of people. After all, even if the Americans kill this Osama bin Laden, absolutely the entire Muslim world will declare war on them "And it will already be much worse. It will most likely develop into a third world war. The real one. Maybe I'm wrong. This is just my personal opinion. I'm not a politician, not an economist, but only an absolutely blind or stupid person can not see this human ".

Loneliness.

"I love loneliness. Even when I met some girl, and we shared, as they say, life, I always found time to be alone. Such is my character. There's nothing to be done. Some call me a romantic egoist. Loneliness sometimes it's good for harmony between two people I get tired of talking I just need to be alone - like charging a battery for half an hour, an hour... The main thing is that I be alone with myself. I love loneliness, but not in global scale. I need to communicate with friends, with family. But being alone is a must."

Present.

"I really like to give gifts. But to receive - not very much. For some reason, then I feel like a debtor. Although they are all dear to me, they are made from the heart. And I appreciate each of them. Even if it's a little teddy bear or a greeting card, or some kind of pillow... I'm very grateful to those who donated. Actually, I collect pens, but when they give them to me, it's not the same.. You have to find a pen yourself - fight for it, try to buy it. more expensive. I already have a fairly serious collection. If you sell it, you can make good money. I collect expensive pens with one very well-known company, releasing one collection annually - usually 812 copies, which disperse around the world. There are collections where there are only 20 copies. They are very difficult to get. I am a client of this firm. Before each release of the collection, they send me an order form, and if I am interested in something, I fill out the form. Sometimes it is even possible to choose a number. I have the so-called thieves' pens - with the number 1 (001 from the 812 series). The handles are very heavy, some weigh up to a kilogram. These are serious ink pens with unique images. Often they are made of expensive materials - gold, platinum. Some even have diamonds. I keep them in my home safe in Monaco. Sometimes I take them out and dust them off."

Jealousy.

“I’m quite a jealous person. But without throwing plates and shots at close range. If I love a person, then I’m definitely jealous. Unless, of course, my beloved gives a reason for this. But if I love and they love me, then it does without jealousy. that they simply provoked me to jealousy. They probably wanted to see what would come of it. I'm a proud person, with a sense of my own dignity. No, they are all right - they are alive. (everyone laughs.) Money often invaded my personal life mass media- they wrote or talked about crowds of fans ... Then I had to explain to my beloved that, they say, no one is waiting for me near the entrance and does not hang around the neck. All this is difficult. I try not to give any reason for jealousy. It’s better to turn off the phone at 10 pm, after calling and warning that I’m going to bed. And I myself will go to communicate with friends ... Actually, I am a home person. Jealous of me?! Even if they wanted to, they couldn't."

"To make it more interesting, we play sparring with Kafelnikov and Safin for money"

A family.

“Recently, my nephew was born. And this is the most wonderful thing that has happened to date in my life. Seeing a newly born little man is probably incomparable to anything. Even with winning the tournament. future financial independence. As far as I can, of course. Everyone in our family loves him so much! There are always a lot of people who want to buy a baby, change diapers, and change diapers. And I only control the process from the outside. I would like him to choose his profession when he grows up - be it a tennis player, a football player, a politician... The main thing is that he should become a professional in his field. will be compared with his uncle, with his mother ... Why should he be second? Let him be the first, but in his industry. "

Tennis and injury.

“Motivation in tennis has definitely changed for me. better side attitude towards tennis has changed. Because now, more than ever, I understand that tennis has given me EVERYTHING in my life. Absolutely EVERYTHING that I have today. And it would be blasphemy to say something bad about tennis. As for injuries, yes, they are present. As, however, in any profession. And you, I think, also have injuries, if not physical, then moral, spiritual. Correctly? It’s just that athletes have them in full view. We do not see the injuries of people working at the machines, or the torment of a coach who worries about his student. If a famous athlete gets injured, everyone will know about it. Probably, it is simply impossible to go up all the time without breakdowns and falls. The tournament in St. Petersburg was the last for me this season. But I really hope that it will not be the last in my life. This tournament gave me strength and energy, gave me food for thought, convinced me that I was still able to beat the leading players in the world. Therefore, with a certain work, it will be possible to recover. I will make a decision about my further professional career at the end of this year. I hope the fans will forgive me, whatever it may be. You know, very often lately I both want and don't want to play. Sometimes I want to drop everything and do something else. But at heart I'm still an athlete. And I can't make a decision that easily. Yes, the examples of Agassi and Ivanisevic are inspiring. I congratulated Goran on his victory at Wimbledon. Very happy for him. Firstly, he proved to the whole world that he must be reckoned with, and secondly, he showed players like me that, if you work hard, you can still achieve something."

Movie.

"Favorite film is" The Barber of Siberia ". I was shocked by the actors, the setting itself tsarist Russia and relationships between officers. If all people treated each other the way they do in this film, then I'm sure it would never have come to the conflicts that are now taking place in the world. And the officer's love for that girl! .. This, you understand, is somehow very close to me. Like Rosenbaum: "To love is to love like that! To play is to play like that!" He loved her with all his heart and was ready for anything for her sake. You watch this movie and every time you discover something new for yourself.

Character.

"According to the horoscope, I am Virgo. Capricious ... (Thinking.) No ... Better write like this:" Virgo - see the horoscope. "I never believed in this before. But somehow I read the horoscope and I have the remaining "My hair just stood on end. As if everything was written off from me. True, I have already learned to restrain my emotions both in life and on the court. I learned when to be silent. I never impose my opinion on anyone and respect the opinions of others. People are just different outlook on life".

ATP official (Association of Professional Tennis Players).

“In the ATP, I would first of all change the attitude towards the players and the attitude of strong players towards the rest. Now they see us as just spoiled boys who go in for sports and give nothing in return. I would change this attitude radically. helmet" in Kyiv".

Chance.

“I don’t always use the chances that life gives me. But I analyze every missed chance and sometimes I regret that I missed it. And life throws up a lot of chances. Someone has invested in an enterprise, but I haven’t. Now this enterprise has become, for example, , Microsoft... That's it, the chance is missed... In general, in my life I'm not a gambler.I can only be angered by defeat in sports competitions - football, basketball, tennis, golf... There, if I feel the strength in myself, I'm ready to recoup "But by no means in a casino - I despise this institution. Of course, I've been there. I skidded with friends, with a company and, of course, made small bets. But it's alien to me. And it's disgusting. I often bet with friends for money. We play sparring with Kafelnikov or Safin and put some money on the line - 50 dollars, to make it more interesting.

Generosity.

"I consider myself a generous person. And not only in money. Probably in everything. I can give the last to close people."

Humor.

"I am not deprived of this feeling. I will laugh at myself with pleasure, if it is really relevant and funny. I love all kinds of humor - black, and northern, and English, and whatever you want ... I myself cheerful person".

"I don't like it when a sentence starts with 'I'. What am I? It's not up to me. You decide."

A series of “color revolutions” in the Middle East, a war in Syria, the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan, a flaming arc of instability in the Middle East and Asia are just a continuation of a story that began more than 200 years ago and which was called the Great Game.

A series of "color revolutions" is a continuation of a story that began more than 200 years ago. Well-known TV journalist Andrey Medvedev is convinced of this.

At the festival "Eurasia.DOC" will be presented his documentary blockbuster called " Big game". The film tells about the bitter struggle between Russia and Great Britain for control over strategic points in Asia.

"Official start date big game intelligence, diplomats and military of the Russian and British empires, of course, no. But unofficially, the countdown can be carried out from the assassination of Paul the First, in the preparation of which the British ambassador took a direct part. Further - all 200 years - blows and counterattacks followed one after another., - the author explains the theme of the film.

Andrei Medvedev became interested in the history of Russian expansion into Central Asia in 2000, when he first came to Afghanistan.

“My interest in this part of our history grew and grew. Behind Afghanistan were middle Asia, Pakistan, India, and all this gradually formed into a kind of common mosaic. Then I read Peter Hopkirk's famous book, The Great Game, which told much of what I already knew. When the opportunity arose, I decided to make a film about all this, because, indeed, in our country, not everyone is aware of those events.- Andrey Medvedev said in one of his interviews.

The premiere of the film "The Great Game" took place on the TV channel "Russia" in 2014. As Andrei Medvedev admits, this was his debut in documentary filmmaking. The team worked on the project for about a year. There were shootings in Kabul and Great Britain.
“We started filming the first interviews in September 2013. In December we flew to Kabul, then to the UK. In May, we finished the film" Andrey Medvedev says.
The film features politicians and diplomats, modern historians and experts. They explain what was the background of the wars and diplomatic deals, what Russia and Britain sought, why they could not agree.
The journalist is grateful for the support and direct participation in the project of his mother, Saida Medvedeva, a well-known television producer in Russia. She took over the production part of the film.
“My mother has been making documentaries for many years. She was responsible for all the technical "bells and whistles" Andrey says.
The directors of the two-part film were Fyodor Kudryashov and Andrey Garyanin.
Andrey Medvedev worked for 11 years in the news program Vesti on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

Andrey Medvedev is a professional journalist with 20 years of experience (in the media since 1996, in the structure of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company since 2000).
In 2000-2014 as a correspondent, special correspondent and political observer for the Directorate of Information Programs of the Rossiya TV channel, he prepared more than 2,000 reports for news and information-analytical programs.

He worked in the zones of armed conflicts in Chechnya (1999-2009), Serbia (1999-2001), Macedonia (2001), Afghanistan (2001-2014) and Iraq (2003-2011).
Repeatedly performed his official duty in conditions of direct risk to life. In 2003, during the storming of Baghdad by parts of the US Army, having received a shell shock, he showed personal courage and heroism, removing from the rubble and providing first aid to colleagues from foreign news agencies, injured and victims of shelling from tank guns.
Author of the documentary films The Great Game and Project Ukraine, as well as the book The True History of the Russian and Ukrainian Peoples.
Since 2014, he has been holding the post of Deputy Director of the Directorate of Information Programs of the Rossiya 1 TV channel. In this position, Medvedev A.A. manages the information program "Vesti - Moscow", which, as a result of reformatting, has qualitatively improved its visual, informational and thematic content.

Since 2015, he has also been the host of the Bear Corner program on the Vesti FM radio station.

Andrei Medvedev, a journalist from the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, host of the Special Correspondent program, published his version of the speech in the Bundestag on his social network page if he had been in the place of Nikolai Desyatnichenko, a schoolboy from Novy Urengoy.

Dear deputies. Today I saw a miracle. And this miracle is called Germany. I walked towards you and looked at the beautiful Berlin streets, at the people, at the wonderful architectural monuments, and now I am standing here and looking at you. And I understand that all this is a miracle. That you were all born and live in Germany. Why do I think so?

Because, given what your soldiers did with us, in the occupied territories, the soldiers of the Red Army had the full moral right to destroy the entire German people. To leave a scorched field, ruins and only paragraphs of textbooks in place of Germany would remind us that there was once such a country.

You probably do not remember all the details of the occupation, but this is not necessary. I will just remind you of what the Wehrmacht and SS soldiers did to Soviet children. They were shot. Often in front of parents. Or vice versa, first they shot at the father and mother, and then at the children. Your soldiers raped children. Children were burned alive. They were sent to concentration camps. Where they took their blood to make serum for your soldiers. Children were starved. Children were eaten to death by your shepherds. Children were used as targets. Children were brutally tortured just for fun.

Or here are two examples. A Wehrmacht officer was prevented from sleeping by a baby, he took him by the leg and smashed his head against the corner of the stove. Your pilots at the Lychkovo station bombed the train on which they tried to take the children to the rear, and then your aces chased the frightened kids, shooting them in a bare field. Two thousand children were killed.

Just for what you did with the children, I repeat, the Red Army could completely destroy Germany with its inhabitants. She had a full moral right. But she didn't. Do I regret it? Of course not. I bow before the steel will of my ancestors, who found some incredible strength in themselves so as not to become the same cattle as the Wehrmacht soldiers were. On the buckles of German soldiers was written "God is with us." But they were the creatures of hell and brought hell to our land. The soldiers of the Red Army were Komsomol members and communists, but the Soviet people turned out to be much more Christian than the inhabitants of enlightened religious Europe. And they did not take revenge. They were able to understand that hell cannot be defeated by hell.

You should not ask our forgiveness, because you personally are not to blame for anything. You cannot be responsible for your grandfathers and great-grandfathers. And then, only the Lord forgives. But I'll be honest - for me the Germans are forever a stranger, an alien people. It's not because you personally are bad. It is in me that the pain of the children burned by the Wehrmacht screams. And you will have to accept that at least my generation - for which the memory of the war is the grandfather's awards, his scars, his front-line friends - will perceive you this way. What will happen next, I don't know. Perhaps, after us, mankurts will come who will forget everything. And we have done a lot for this, we have lost a lot ourselves, but I hope that not everything is lost for Russia.

Of course we need to cooperate. Russians and Germans. We need to solve problems together. Fight against ISIS (the structure is banned in the Russian Federation - ed.) and build gas pipelines. But you will have to accept one fact: we will never repent for our Great War. And even more so for the victory. And even more so in front of you. In any case, I repeat, my generation.

Because then we saved not only ourselves. We saved you from yourself. And I don't even know which is more important.

Okay, Facebook. Let's see who is more stubborn.

But they didn't. Do I regret it? Of course not. How can you regret that no blood was shed? How can one regret that our soldiers and officers showed incredible humanism and mercy? I bow to the highest spirit and steel will of my ancestors, who found in themselves some incredible strength not to become the same cattle as the soldiers of the Wehrmacht were. On the buckles of German soldiers was written "God is with us." But they were the creatures of hell and brought hell to our land. Facebook found "pornography" in the text of the VGTRK journalist about the war against the Nazis
RIA Novosti | 00:03 11/24/2017 (updated: 09:58 11/24/2017)

MOSCOW, November 23 - RIA Novosti. The social network Facebook twice blocked the account of VGTRK journalist Andrey Medvedev for leaving a post about a resonant speech in the Bundestag by Yamal schoolboy Nikolai Desyatnichenko. The journalist himself wrote about this on his new page.

Initially, Medvedev presented a reworked version of a speech delivered in the Bundestag, talking about the brutality of German soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. However, Facebook banned the journalist's page "for distributing pornography." Medvedev again published a post, but this time the administration social network accused him of "inciting hatred towards certain groups" (probably the Nazis) and blocked the account again.

The journalist recreated the Facebook page and published the post for the third time, but in an edited version. According to him, he "smoothed out the hardest corners", but the text changed only "slightly". AT latest edition Medvedev writes about how German soldiers dealt with Soviet children during the war.

Editorial RIA Novosti leads full text messages without edits.

"Alright Facebook. Let's see who's more stubborn.

The first time the post was deleted for distribution of pornography(!).

The second time for inciting hatred towards certain groups.

This is the third attempt. I slightly changed the text. Smoothed out the toughest spots. Let's check what happens now. How long will he stay here?

“If I had to speak in the Bundestag, like the boy Kolya, then I would probably say these words:

Dear deputies. Today I saw a miracle. And this miracle is called Germany. I walked towards you and looked at the beautiful Berlin streets, at the people, at the wonderful architectural monuments, and now I am standing here and looking at you. And I understand that all this is a miracle. That you were all born and live in Germany. Why do I think so?

Two thousand children were killed.

And just for the mere fact that your soldiers did with children, I repeat, the soldiers of the Red Army, who saw the endless bloody ashes from the Volga to the Western Bug, could break loose, turn into merciless avengers, and destroy Germany completely. Perhaps even with its inhabitants. After all, they spoke and wrote from the front, without fear of censorship, during the war that they wanted to take revenge on the Germans. Not fascists. Not to the Nazis. It's the Germans.

But they didn't. Do I regret it? Of course not. How can you regret that no blood was shed? How can one regret that our soldiers and officers showed incredible humanism and mercy? And even more so in front of you. In any case, I repeat, my generation. Because then we saved not only ourselves. We saved you from yourself. And I don't even know what's more important."

In his speech in the Bundestag, the video of which was published on Youtube, a student from Novy Urengoy spoke about a German soldier who participated in Battle of Stalingrad, whose biography he was able to study thanks to information from open sources. According to the teenager, the soldier ended up in a prisoner of war camp and could not return home, as he "died from the harsh conditions of captivity." A schoolboy, studying the biography of a soldier, visited the "burials of Wehrmacht soldiers" near Kopeysk in Chelyabinsk region where, in his words, "saw an innocent dead people among whom many wanted to live peacefully and did not want to fight."

Facebook twice blocked the account of a VGTRK journalist after a post about a student speaking in the Bundestag

The social network Facebook twice blocked the account of VGTRK journalist Andrey Medvedev after his post about a high-profile performance in the Bundestag by schoolboy Nikolai Desyatnichenko from Novy Urengoy. In it, Medvedev presented his own version of the speech, in which he spoke about the actions of German soldiers during the Great Patriotic War.

In the newly created account, Medvedev said that the first time his post was removed "for distributing pornography", and the second - "for inciting hatred towards certain groups." The journalist edited the text of his original message and posted it for the third time. In the text, Medvedev gives an example of how German soldiers dealt with Soviet children during the war.

“I will just remind you of what the Wehrmacht and SS soldiers did to Soviet children. They were shot. Often in front of parents. Or, on the contrary, they first shot at the father and mother, and then at the children. Your soldiers raped children. Children were burned alive. They were sent to concentration camps. Where they took their blood to make serum for your soldiers. Children were starved. Children were eaten to death by your shepherds. Children were used as targets. Children were brutally tortured just for fun,” writes Medvedev.

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Olga Vasilyeva said that the number of hours devoted to the study of the Great Patriotic War in school curriculum, should be increased.

"There are not very many hours allocated to the history of the Great Patriotic War, and I will fight hard against this, because Russian history cannot be packed into so many hours,"- said the minister.

Leading programs and political observer of VGTRK Andrey Medvedev they say about perception national history youth.

For modern youth, May 9 is more of a day off than Remembrance Day. Hurray, no need to go to school, an extra day for the May holidays. As you know, young people in Russia are considered to be young people up to 30 years old inclusive. And those who study today in schools and universities do not know the heroes and do not even have an idea who, at least in the 20th century, was a significant figure for Russia and who was not.

A. Medvedev: Here, after all, what's the matter: what they didn't teach, they don't know.

But no one canceled history lessons in schools.

A. Medvedev: So, who is teaching these lessons? Who wrote the history programs? There is no single history textbook in the country. In every school, children are taught in their own way, according to their own program, according to their own ideas. Today, those who are now 35-40 years old came to school. Such are the teachers. By the way, this is not the worst option. Although they are also not spared from the feeling of life through the prism of the Ogonyok magazine of the 1989-1991 model, where it was written about "bloody paws Stalinist repressions"Etc. There are a lot of such people. And they come, teach youth, children. They cripple them through their attitude, telling them frantic tales about millions and millions repressed by Stalin and about at least 20 people whom he personally "ate" Everyone tells this mythology.

Yes, in general, you don’t need to write anything. Let's face it! Millions, not millions, I did not count and did not study the archives in such detail, but we all really know about a certain number of repressed.

A. Medvedev: Others did it for us smart people. They counted the number of those repressed from 1922 to 1953. Some count the number from 1921. That is, from the moment the USSR was formed until 1953. In total, over the years, according to the Memorial society, which we obviously cannot suspect of any special love for Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin, and, by the way, these data do not differ much from the data of the historian V. Zemskov, who also worked for this topic. His minimum figure is that 9.5 million people passed through the Gulag camps in 30 years. Not in a year or two, but in 30 years, from 1921 to 1953. According to the "Memorial" society, there were 14 million such people.

It is not enough? Are we still talking about millions?

A. Medvedev: Taking into account the fact that today in Russia there are about a million people in prisons and camps, and if we raise the statistics from 1991, that is, from the moment of formation new Russia, then you get a monstrous figure. That prisons and camps during the Yeltsin-Putin rule, that is, in 25 years, passed (in peak years there were 1.5 million people convicted a year) 30 million people. Yes, Stalin is generally simple ... It's like turning the numbers, how you interpret them.

As for the citizens to whom capital punishment was applied, the maximum number of such people is 850,000 in 30 years. Is it not enough? Of course not. Because behind every number is a living person with his family, with his experiences. Not all of these people were Vlasovites, policemen, not all of them were enemies of the Soviet regime. It is clear that many fabricated cases, because they wanted stars for shoulder straps. But why hysteria about it? 850 thousand is a huge figure. The two peak years for executions are 1937 and 1938. There, somewhere around 350-360 thousand people were shot a year. Then, at the end of 1938, L. Beria was appointed People's Commissar of Internal Affairs, and the so-called "Beria amnesty" began, which, by the way, many do not remember.

In general, what is history for and why should we learn it? And how to teach it? This is very well demonstrated by the latest situation with a citizen Denis Karagodin, who began to dig and dig, who repressed his grandfather, who shot him.

Impressive lists lead, in which tens and tens of people.

A. Medvedev: Interestingly, he also talks about his grandfather in some detail. Apparently, from the data that citizen D. Karagodin himself lays out, inviting everyone involved in the death of his grandfather to repent, his grandfather was: a) a kulak, an enemy of Soviet power; b) fought on the side of the Japanese in late August - early September 1918. The Executive Committee of the Amur Region, where he was a member, entered into an alliance with anti-Bolshevik forces. After that, he, as part of a combined detachment of Japanese, American, Russian and Chinese troops under the overall command of Major Generals Yamada and Yukhara, took part in the attack on the territory controlled by the Bolsheviks: the city of Blagoveshchensk, the city of Svobodny and others. settlements region. This means that this "comrade" Karagodin Stepan Ivanovich, as part of a Cossack assault detachment, stormed the city of Blagoveshchensk. And after the capture of the city, he took part in the arrests of the Bolsheviks. I am not composing anything, but quoting the text of Karagodin the grandson, who now calls on everyone to repent en masse before him personally, before his grandfather, etc.

One girl even fell for it and ran to repent. I wonder if citizen Karagodin himself does not want to repent for the fact that his grandfather was a punisher who fought on the side of the Japanese invaders? He does not have such a desire: to go and repent? Judging by what D. Karagodin himself writes, according to the testimony of a member of the CPSU (b) Mikhailov Ivan Mikhailovich, "comrade" Karagodin senior reported that he hated the Soviet regime, and his father's hatred was passed on to his children, and in 1922 his son, with whom I. Mikhailov studied together at the Polytechnic, said that "we will cut you all out soon."

Moreover, Denis Karagodin intends to continue and wants to prosecute all those involved in the death of his great-grandfather: from the top of the Politburo to those who shot his grandfather.

A. Medvedev: Well, it is clear that Denis Karagodin is a human function, this is a political project. He started it himself, not himself, but nothing comes from nothing. It is clear that the Ukrainian journalist Mustafa Nayem, when he wrote and called people to the Maidan to take umbrellas, dress warmly, go out to the Independence Monument, was just a kind of megaphone, a kind of black plate on the wall, from where the voice of the Bandera information bureau was heard. When he called out to people to go to the square. The same with Denis Karagodin. This is an absolute man-function, an absolute man-provocation. Let's judge everyone! Start with yourself, Comrade D. Karagodin! Start by repenting for your grandfather, who was a White Guard punisher who shot the Bolsheviks along with the Japanese invaders, who were eventually expelled by the Soviet authorities from Far East. Together with the Japanese, he did what he did.

The question is, was he a Japanese spy? How do we know? Have we seen the case? Have we seen all the evidence? Here, Comrade D. Karagodin believes that this did not happen, that this is all a lie. A man who fought under the command of the Japanese could be recruited?

Theoretically it could, and practically too.

A. Medvedev: And he practically could. We don't know what the evidence was. Now, if this case is completely published, it will be very interesting to read it.

In the last broadcast, we said that it is impossible to be half fascist and half anti-fascist, but here Denis Karagodin can be half the investigator of the death of his grandfather. And he wants to attract everyone from the top of the Politburo.

A. Medvedev: Is it possible to believe that he can be half an investigator?

By the way, he somehow received very secret documents from the FSB. And when the great-granddaughter of the man who shot his grandfather confessed, he said: "Well, okay, I forgive you." Any inconsistency in his actions?

A. Medvedev: Why? Very even sequence. This is normal behavior. A person does not want to delve into the biography of his grandfather, does not want to figure out who his grandfather shot. But at the same time, he wants to pardon and punish: I will forgive you, and I will get to you.

So the study of history is useful, not only the history of the Great Patriotic War, which our minister Vasilyeva calls for, if only because it sometimes helps to develop critical thinking. But in the case of Denis Karagodin, this did not happen, although not everything is lost.

In general, if literature gives very important meanings in relation to life, in its perception, then history gives a person roots. Only history gives a person roots. Only it gives a person a connection with the earth. Gives him an understanding that on this earth, in this country, here in Russia, his ancestors a hundred, two hundred and a thousand years ago, people whom he never knew, men and women of his kind, his blood lived, worked, built , created, fought and died for their country, did not betray their country, so that today this little man, a schoolboy, would live. In order for him to feel today that he is a free person and a citizen of Russia. Because there were very, very many who wanted to ditch Russia. And history, if it is taught correctly, if it is not taught in the style of "reds" against "whites" or "whites" against "reds", gives an understanding of this.

The phrase that history is often written for the sake of power, specifically here and now located and the ruling one or another country, is very often quoted on the Internet. So how should we eventually arrive at a unified history textbook, and what should it look like?

A. Medvedev: The age of the Internet has created a 100-plus-character Twitter mindset, and so all sorts of wild, frenzied, man-made quotes that become attached to someone have become popular.

In general, I am against this phrase that history is written for the sake of power. In the era of the USSR, of course, there was a class approach to the perception of history, and it often gave a rather distorted picture. Because the agent of the Polish throne and the Vatican, apparently, Ivan Bolotnikov in Soviet historiography turned into a fighter for the people's happiness and the leader of a peasant uprising. And no one wondered where this man got the sacks of gold from to buy the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks, with whom he went to Moscow in the midst of the Troubles. The same applied to Stepan Razin. A very dubious character. Or the uprising of A. Avtobachi, the war in Kokand in 1875 were also called the movement of the masses against tsarism, although in reality they were ordinary jihadist militants, pure ISIS of the 19th century, no difference.

Yes, there was a class approach, but, nevertheless, in Soviet history in general, there was a place for everything. Perhaps the only event that did not find a worthy place in Soviet school history textbooks is the first World War. Which was also wrong. But for the sake of power? Maybe yes. They pursued some political goals in the formation of ideology. But is this only a problem for the Bolsheviks? For example, the Romanovs also actively composed mythology around Ivan the Terrible in order to prove that the entire previous reign of certain tsars in Russia was only dark times, a prologue to the arrival of the bright Romanov family. So the Yeltsin Center also convinces people that there was nothing good in Russia before Yeltsin. I am not a politician and I cannot say what politicians are thinking about when they make some not entirely thought-out decisions.

What might a unified history textbook look like?

A. Medvedev: It may look very simple. There is no discord in understanding what it should be. If there is a clear understanding that no matter what happens on this vast territory from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, this is all the history of one country, this is all the path of one country, the movement of one country from some point to some future, then everything falls into place. Then it becomes easy to understand what is not so important: "red" or "white", not so important: Alexander III or Joseph Stalin, but both there and there there was one country, and there and there were the same enemies, and there and there the country had the same tasks. And it doesn’t matter whether during the time of Ivan the Terrible or during the time of Vladimir Putin, sanctions were announced to us, moreover, about the same guys as then, as now. This is how a linear perception of history should be. Without opposing one to the other, without a class approach, without hysterics about the repressions, without admiration for Russia in 1908, without all the well-known clichés. Everything needs to be written objectively.
