Prepare all salad ingredients.


Cut the meat into thin slices and beat them off. Grind the pepper mixture in a mortar. Half a teaspoon of freshly ground pepper and half a teaspoon of salt mixed with 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Grate the chopped pieces of pork with this mixture and leave it for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.


Fry the marinated meat in a grill pan until golden brown.

Put all prepared salad ingredients in a deep salad bowl and add canned green pea. If you have frozen fresh peas in the summer, you can use them for salad, just pre-boil the beans in salted water.

But from time to time I have to cook them for various holidays and celebrations, well, where without them!

However, it was this salad that just fell in love with me. For the first time I tried it performed by my eldest daughter, but instead of beef she had pork, and I replaced green peas with sweet bell pepper.

The result blew me away. A completely new, fresh combination of products, an unbeaten taste and a bright play of colors made this salad just perfect!

But enough talking, let's get down to the cooking process.

To prepare the salad we need:

  • 200 grams of beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ red sweet bell pepper
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • salt, ground black pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

For marinade:

  • apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • granulated sugar - 1 tablespoon

First I cook the beef. I don’t know about you, but I love beef broth, but I cook it extremely rarely (now I have to do it more often). Today, I decided to kill two birds with one stone, and cook a rich broth for borscht, and subsequently use boiled beef for my future salad.

Chose a good piece of meat on the bone:

I washed it, put it in cold water, let it boil, removed the foam and left it to simmer for 2.5 hours. Salted the broth half an hour before it was ready.

Then the meat was taken out, set aside to cool. By the way, for beginners, if you cook beef specifically for such a salad, then, of course, take a piece of meat without a bone, and lower it already into boiling water, then it will be more tender and juicier.

And be sure to try it for doneness before you get it out of the broth completely. Suddenly you come across old beef, it will have to be cooked longer, or, conversely, for veal, the cooking time can be significantly reduced.

Well, while I prepare the vegetables. A head of onion (I bought a white onion, it is more tender and not so vigorous, for salad fit better total) I cut into thin half rings, cut raw carrots into strips.

Now pickle the onion with one tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also use regular 9% vinegar, but apple cider vinegar gives the marinade a certain zest, so it appeals to me more.

The onion in the marinade should be properly mashed with a fork so that it is better soaked and marinated faster. Although we have enough time.

Sliced ​​carrots fry in vegetable oil:

It should not be completely cooked, but only browned.

Now cut into thin strips half a red bell pepper:

Well, in principle, I have prepared all the products, now I will deal with the salad itself.

I will disassemble the cooled beef into thin fibers:
