FGUZ "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the City of Moscow" is a Federal government agency health care Federal Service on supervision in the field of consumer protection and human well-being.
The center is part of a unified federal centralized system of bodies and institutions exercising state sanitary and epidemiological supervision.
The Center and its branches, in accordance with the Charter, carry out the state registration of infectious, parasitic and occupational diseases, food poisoning, other diseases and poisoning of people associated with the impact of adverse factors in the human environment. They provide social and hygienic monitoring, risk assessment of the impact of harmful and dangerous environmental factors on human health, conduct statistical monitoring in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, including maintaining disease registers. Conducts microbiological, parasitological, virological, sanitary-hygienic and toxicological studies.
