The queue happens on weekends, holidays, during mass celebrations. It is more convenient to come to us when you "need", we will always find a way to make the client feel comfortable.

This is more of a toilet than a museum. Opened in a new form for the new 2012. Historically, this place has always had a toilet.

No, we can't do it. There are better places for this.

Previously, at stations, in particular at Paveletsky, shower rooms caused a lot of criticism. Now, as part of the reconstruction, the entire hotel infrastructure of the stations is being carried out in a separate style. The order in the new premises is monitored by specialized cleaning companies.

Well, I don’t have such specific information, but the prices there are quite small. Only utility costs are included. The service must be cost-effective, otherwise it will not function. By the way, the shower service is not new. She was also in Soviet time, it’s just that then it wasn’t covered like that - communication was not the same. Everything was at the level of "I was at the station, took a shower and drove on."
- Is it hygienic to take a shower in a public place, is it often cleaned there?
Cleaning is carried out at a high quality level. After all, if everything is of poor quality, then we will immediately be fined. So cleanliness is ensured by a high frequency of cleaning.
- Have you yourself seen the state of these souls? Did you go there?
Not at all stations, of course, but I went into such a shower. While they are not yet functioning at all large stations - reconstruction. It is necessary to judge the state of the rest rooms as a whole, after its completion. Now the reconstruction has already been completed at the Leningradsky railway station.
- And when will the reconstruction be fully completed?
By the end of 2015, that part of the premises of the stations, which is visible to visitors, should appear completely renovated before them.
- Is there a shower service at all stations in Moscow?
No, not at all. Savelovsky and Rizhsky - they are a lower class, there are only toilets, but there are no rooms for a long rest, respectively, there are no showers. In general, the service is not so well known yet - many do not know about the soul at the stations. Anastasia Reut, a correspondent for MK-Estonia, decided to find out where you can take a cheap shower, go to the sauna, do laundry, and use the saved money to get a manicure at a very low price.
Water is expensive these days. Therefore, many people try to save money on it. As Ilya Burtsev, public relations adviser of the district council, explains, there is no separate allowance for compensation of water expenses.
“The Department of Social Welfare pays a poverty allowance to individuals or families living below the poverty line. Due to this benefit, families are compensated for the costs of housing and communal services,” says Burtsev.
There are practically no apartments or private houses in where there is no hot water or there is no way to take a shower. However, in every social center such a service is offered. Who uses it and why - we decided to figure it out.
"Wash" at half price
“In our center there is a great opportunity to go to the bathhouse or just take a shower. It is advisable to register for a visit in advance, at least one day in advance. This is necessary so that we have time to buy soap, and indeed it was free. The only condition is that you cannot use a broom in the sauna,” says Yuliya Chaplygina, head of the Kesklinna district center.
According to Julia, the sauna is not very popular now, as a bathhouse has been opened on Raua. The price there is not much higher, but there are more opportunities. Despite this, the sauna in the social center is reserved at least 6-8 times a week.
“Pensioners from our center like to celebrate their birthday in the sauna. Of course, we don’t allow alcohol to be brought with us, but you are welcome to get together with a company, ”adds Yulia.
Indeed, you don’t go to the bathhouse at home, but how are things going with the shower? In the social center for pensioners there are various sports activities, dancing. After them, they just use the shower. Although most often they still choose a sauna, as they can wash and take a steam bath. The cost of the sauna is small, and pensioners love this business.
According to Yulia Chaplygina, most often the same pensioners go to the shower or sauna every time. Many have already developed their own bathing traditions. For example, once a month they traditionally gather in a bathhouse. So, for someone to come just from the street to wash, there is no such thing, although the institution is open to everyone.
Is there a big need?
Washing powder and fabric softener are included in the price. Wet laundry can be hung on a special dryer, standing near washing machine, or use the machine for drying clothes, for an additional fee. Although some take still wet clothes with them.
To the gym not for sports
Baths in sports centers are a good alternative to saunas in social centers and public baths. Here you can go in for sports, and go to the shower, and warm up in the bathhouse.
“Yes, they only come here to wash and take a steam bath! There is a whole company of grannies who come to the sports club once a week. They buy a visit to the pool, and the pool itself has probably never been seen before. They hang out for a couple of hours. First a steam bath, then a regular one. Get steamy, wash up, and go home, ”says an employee of the sports club, who wished to remain anonymous.
Such services are offered by absolutely all sports clubs, from the most elite to gyms that are found in every part of the city.
