A plastic window, even the highest quality and correctly installed, requires periodic maintenance. It can stand for several years without any problems, but over time, friction can be felt when opening or closing. The second problem is that it blows from under the seal, and the third is that the handle turns with effort. All these breakdowns are not complicated and are easily eliminated and it is not at all necessary to call the master: adjusting plastic windows on your own is a matter of minutes. All you need to do is tighten or loosen a few screws. The main thing is to know where and how. More on this later in photo and video format.

Winter and summer mode

Most often, adjustment of plastic windows is required for the new season: complete tightness is desirable in winter, and a little fresh air let in. This is achieved by adjusting the sash pressure density. It's easy to do it yourself. When you figure it out, you will be surprised how elementary everything is ...

The window sash is pressed against the frame with the help of trunnions. These are such movable metal protrusions on the side surface of the sash. When the handle is turned, they go behind the reciprocal metal plates mounted on the frame. In order to be able to adjust the tightness of the fit of the sash and frame, they have an eccentric - either they themselves are made oval, or in the center of the round protrusion there is an adjustment with an offset center. By changing the position of the pins (see photo), you change the degree of pressure, that is, you eliminate the draft from under the sash.

As you can see, the shapes of the locking ledges can be different. They can be adjusted using different instruments. If your window has such eccentrics as in the picture on the left - oval-shaped protrusions - their position is changed with the help of pliers: clamp it and turn it in the right direction.

If the locking lug is round, as shown on the left, it can be slotted for a screwdriver or hex wrench. After examining them, you can easily understand what tool you need: a regular screwdriver or a #4 hex key. Insert a key or screwdriver into the slot and also turn it to the desired position.

Expose all the protrusions to the same position. Please note that they are not only on one side of the sash - the outer one, but also on the inside (at least one, but there is), and can also be at the top and bottom. Here you set all the available locking protrusions to the same position, otherwise the frame will warp and it will blow out from under it.

When adjusting the fittings of plastic windows, remember that a weak pressure corresponds to the summer mode of closing plastic windows, a standard or strong one corresponds to the winter one. If you carry out maintenance work in the winter, first set the standard position and check if there is a purge. Immediately pinch the rubber bands on new ones pvc windows do not advise. In this position, installed around the perimeter rubber compressor strongly pressed. Because of this, it loses its elasticity over time. The guarantee for a normal seal is 15 years, but still ... If you immediately set the maximum pressure, the rubber will deteriorate faster. As a result, once again setting the winter position on plastic windows, you will find that it is still blowing from under the sash, and the rubber is all cracked. This means it's time to change the seal. This is also not very difficult, but it takes more time, and tires still need to be bought.

So: winter and summer position plastic windows is set by changing the position of the locking ledges - trunnions. Everything is detailed in the video below. After viewing, adjusting plastic windows on your own will finally cease to be a problem.

How to adjust the window so that it does not blow

Sometimes, plastic windows, even after moving the trunnions to the position of strong pressure, are not airtight - it blows from under the sash and replacing the rubber band does nothing. This usually happens when the house shrinks. In this case, the window is said to be sagging. When this happens, contact between the locking lug and striker plate is lost. When the handle is turned, the protrusion-pin should go behind the plate, pressing the sash. If this does not happen and drafts occur, heat is blown out of the room.

Where are the trunnions (clamping lugs) usually located?

When a plastic window sags, the adjustment is different: you need to move the sash in a groan so that those protrusions that do not reach the plates catch on them.

First you need to decide which of the pins do not reach the locking plates. This is done mechanically. First, inspect the sash, remember where there are protrusions. Close the window. Grab the sash frame at the pins and pull it towards you.

If there is contact, the frame remains stationary; if not, it moves. So you check in which places there is no contact and determine in which direction you need to move the sash. Do this by adjusting the lower and upper loops.

Bottom hinge adjustment

If the PVC window does not close somewhere below, we will move the sash with the help of the lower hinge. There are two adjustments here: one in the horizontal plane - moves closer to the hinge or further from it, and the second - in the vertical one - raises or lowers the sash by a couple of millimeters.

To move the lower part of the sash closer or further to the hinge, it is opened. At the bottom of the sing there is an adjustment hole for a hex key (sometimes for an “asterisk”).

A hexagon is inserted into it, by turning clockwise the lower corner approaches the loop, against it it moves away. Move the sash a little, try to close / open it. Once the result is achieved, stop. If the resource is turned out to the stop, but there is no result, return everything to its original position: this is not the right adjustment.

This screw can correct the situation if, when closing the window, the sash touches the frame below. Slightly bringing it closer to the loop, you will eliminate this malfunction.

There is a second adjusting screw on the bottom hinge. To get to it, you need to put the sash on the air and remove the decorative trim. It is removed easily, you need to pull the lower edge slightly towards you (by 1-2 mm) and pull it up. After removing the protective cap, you will see a recess in the upper part. A 4 mm hexagon is inserted into it. By turning clockwise, the sash rises slightly, against it, it lowers.

It is described in detail how to remove the decorative trim on the hinge, how and how to adjust the lower hinge on the PVC window in the next video.

Top hinge adjustment

If the upper corner on the plastic window does not close, you need to move it. To do this, open the window at least 90 °. It is possible and less, but it will be inconvenient to work. There is a loop on the sash at the top. By design, it differs from the bottom, but it also has a hole for the hexagon.

The adjustment screw is on the side. By rotating it, we move the sash further from the hinge (if the trunnions farthest from the hinge do not close) or closer to the hinge. One point - there should be a gap of several millimeters between the sash and the hinge: it is necessary for the tilt-and-turn mechanism to enter there. Therefore, turning the key half a turn, check how the window opens / closes.

Sometimes this adjustment does not help either. Then it is required press the top corner to the frame. There is another screw for this - on the swing-out mechanism. To have access to this screw, you will have to open the window in two positions at once. To do this, the sash is opened, the blocker is pressed. It usually comes in two designs - in the form of a locking loop or a tongue (see the photo below).

The blocker is retracted to the stop, holding it, turn the handle for ventilation, pulling the upper edge of the sash slightly towards you, open rotary mechanism. A device that holds the sash open. On one of the plates there is a ledge for the same hex key. By turning it, you can adjust the tightness of the upper corner of the sash. It is necessary if the upper corner of the plastic window does not close.

Once again, you can see how to adjust the plastic windows yourself in the video. Explanations on the case, available and without further ado.

Plastic window won't close

Sometimes the geometry of the window opening changes so much that even by moving the sash to the maximum, we do not get the desired result: the plastic window does not close. What to do in this case? If there is an adjustment on the counterpart, as in option a and b in the photo, try to get by with a little blood - tighten it up here. The principle is the same: insert the hex key and rotate it clockwise, pushing it to the maximum.

If a few millimeters are missing not in depth, but to the side, then will have to be installed under the mating part of the lining. They are cut from a piece of white plastic. The maximum thickness is 3-4 mm. First, by unscrewing the screws, the stops are removed. Two gaskets are cut out: one is installed from below, the second is from the side. As a result, the stop moves 3 mm deeper into the sash.

They are first installed at the right place of the lining, on them there is an emphasis, which is screwed with a self-tapping screw. The protruding pieces of plastic are cut off with a sharp knife. Check if the window is closed or not.

If this does not help, there is another way: move the sash frame. It is quite elastic and can be moved about 5 mm. The procedure is as follows:

If you look closely, you can see that the frame is slightly curved. The main thing is that the window is now closed. In 99% of cases this is enough. If you are unlucky, and all these tricks did not work, you need to remove the slopes and also bend the frame.

You can watch all the steps described above in the video.

Adjustment and replacement of handles

A fairly common problem: the handle turns with difficulty. If the problem is not eliminated in time, due to the excessive efforts applied, it breaks down, leaving a short stump, which you definitely can’t do anything about.

First, how to make the handle close easily again. Locking mechanisms must first be cleaned and lubricated. First, accumulated dust and dirt are removed, wiped dry, then all moving parts are lubricated. You need to use pure oils, without alkalis and acids. The best option is engine oil, you can use any analogue or modern facility from a balloon.

Having lubricated all the rubbing and moving parts, open / close the sash several times, turn it on its hinges. Everything should move smoothly, without jerks.

If there are problems even now, most likely in the process of adjustments or changes in the geometry of the window, the blocker has shifted. It should easily enter the mating part and press firmly against the frame. Then the handle turns easily. Move the sash and try again.

Now about how to change the handle. The fasteners on which it rests are hidden under decorative overlay. If you look closely, you will see that there is a thin cap. Grab it with your fingers or hook it with your nails, pull it slightly towards you and turn it to one side. Two bolts open. They are unscrewed, the handle is removed, a new one is put in its place.

We've covered the most common problems and how to fix them. Now it’s not a problem for you not only to adjust plastic windows, you can do it yourself and minor repairs. You can also carry out service yourself (lubrication once a year).

For a long time old wooden window frames replaced popular and practical plastic windows. One of the advantages of such windows is to ensure a high degree of tightness of the window block. Due to this, plastic structures have not only excellent thermal insulation characteristics, but also prevent street sounds and dust from getting inside.

However, quite often you can encounter such a problem when the plastic window does not close. What should be done in such a case?

Causes of problems

In most cases, problems with closing a plastic window occur in structures that have been installed for a long time. When they first appeared on our market, specialists did not yet have certain skills in installing them and did not have complete information.

But it also happens that the problem with closing occurs just a few days after installing the window. The reasons for this may be a poor-quality design or a poorly adjusted mechanism when setting the window.

Even at the factory, they make the primary adjustment of plastic windows, and when they are set up, the installers must definitely carry out a secondary one. The master does this with a special key. It adjusts loops and other parameters. As a result, the window should close tightly and open with ease.

After prolonged use of the window, unpleasant nuances may appear in the operation of the fittings: the window handle may stop turning all the way, while opening the window may begin to creak or crunch, or stop closing altogether.

List of possible malfunctions of a plastic window

Problem solving

Sagging sash.

  • WITH window hinges remove the decorative plastic trim.
  • There are adjustment holes on the bottom and top end that should be tightened. To do this, you can use a hex wrench or Phillips screwdrivers.
  • Now you need to check how the frame opens and closes. If no effort, then the problem is solved.

The handle is locked in the tilt position and the window does not close.

In this case, the window sash must be removed.

The window sash hangs on the bottom hinge.

  • The handle must be turned to the tilt position.
  • Press the sash firmly against the frame and try to close it again. If this fails, it is best to contact a specialist with such a problem.

The sash on the lower hinge can also sag if there is an erroneous opening blocker. In this case:

  • At the end casement find the blocker (spring element) and click on it.
  • While holding the blocker, the handle must be turned to the reclining position.
  • Still without releasing the lock, the window sash should be pressed against the frame and turn the handle.

Blowing.

This cause is eliminated with the help of eccentric screws. To do this, the central screw of the counter plate is turned with a hex key to a special mark. This mark shows the degree of pressing the window sash. The closer it is to the seal on the edge of the roller, the stronger the pressure.

The handle turns with effort or not completely.

  • First of all, you should lubricate the window mechanism, as the reason may be that its lubricant has dried out.
  • If the lubrication did not help, then the window sash sagged. To eliminate this problem, it is necessary to adjust the screws of the fittings, finding out which place of the answer is most damaged by the roller.

The window handle cracked.

Everything is in order, but the window does not close.

  • Open the sash and carefully inspect the frame to find out the cause of the problem.
  • If there are no foreign objects there, then, most likely, the drainage protective bar has moved. If she rested against the frame, then the problem was found.
  • To eliminate it, the bar should be carefully aligned and returned to its place.

Operation of the mechanism in two positions.

  • Press the blocker located on the end side of the frame to your side.
  • Press the upper right corner with your hand, gently turning the handle in the direction of ventilation until it clicks, which indicates the coincidence of the grooves.
  • Close the frame completely by gently moving the handle to the desired position. In this situation, the main task is to combine all the grooves of the mechanism with the smooth movement of the handle.

The article describes the most common problems that arise during the operation of plastic windows. If during installation you ask the masters to adjust all modes, then some of these problems can be avoided. Also, windows should be regularly lubricated, cleaned and adjusted.

We will send the material to you by e-mail

Often a situation arises that the installed plastic window stops closing. What to do in this case? It turns out that there is no need to call the master and pay for his services. It is quite possible to make all the adjustments with your own hands. Today we will try to figure out what to do if the plastic window does not close, and we will also analyze others possible problems and methods for their elimination. It also makes sense to know how to maintain, prevent and adjust locking mechanisms.

Plastic windows have long and firmly entered our lives.

There can be quite a lot of small problems. And most often all of them are quite simply solved by the usual adjustment. Less commonly, windows require replacement. The main faults are:

  • Skewed sash and its loose fit to the frame;
  • Jamming of the handle in various positions;
  • Opening the sash for ventilation and opening at the same time;
  • Loose handle;
  • Water drain blocking.
Good to know! These problems can be avoided if timely preventive maintenance is carried out. It is also very important how qualified workers will install windows. It is worth reading the reviews about a particular company in more detail.

We will deal with the listed malfunctions and methods for adjusting and repairing plastic windows.

Repair of plastic windows when the sash is skewed

A common cause is improper installation and initial adjustment. To fix, you need a hexagon (usually No. 4). Here you need to understand that the upper hinge of the sash is responsible for adjusting the window left and right, relative to the frame, and the lower one - up and down. If the sash is warped, then this must be urgently corrected. Otherwise, damage to the glass unit itself, which is not cheap, is possible.

It is also possible to adjust by placing special spacers between the frame and the double-glazed window - for this you will have to remove the glazing beads. Work is carried out with the sash open, with periodic checks - the sash is smoothly covered, and it is immediately clear whether the repair has been completed or not.

Loose fit of the sash to the frame is the most common cause

This can happen if plastic windows are not switched to winter mode after a warm period. This is easy to do. Having opened the window, you should carefully consider the locking mechanism - there should be a corresponding mark on it. Usually, to change the mode, it is necessary to turn the central valve with a hexagon. After that, you need to close the window by pressing a sheet of paper with it. If everything is done correctly, the paper will not be pulled out.

How to open a plastic window if the handle is stuck

In the occurrence of such a problem, the blocker is most often to blame. This is a device that locks the locking mechanism in certain positions. With prolonged use of windows, it may not work in the right position. Most often this happens when the handle is turned to the “closed” state while the window is open. To eliminate it, it is necessary to bring the sash to a vertical position, after which the handle must turn. If this does not happen, most likely, you will have to change the locking mechanism.

It may also happen that the handle is wedged when it is not fully turned. The cause of such a nuisance can be both clogging of the mechanism and drying of the lubricant. In the second case, everything is solved quite simply - the stores now have a large assortment variety of sprays. Best Option will use silicone grease. If the mechanism is clogged, then it must be disassembled and cleaned.

Important! When disassembling the locking mechanism, you need to remember the sequence of installation of parts. If there is little hope for memory and attentiveness, it is better to seek help from specialists.

If the mechanism is jammed and the plastic window does not open (what to do), the video instruction will help you figure it out.

The sash opened for airing and plowing at the same time

The reason for this may not be a malfunction, but a banal carelessness when opening. The problem is easily fixed. The handle turns up, while the sash must be pressed firmly against the frame by hand. When she got into place, lower the handle down to the stop. Such actions should not cause difficulties.

All modern plastic windows are equipped with blockers that prevent such situations, however, excessive haste when opening may prevent it from working. Do not try to open the sash when the handle is not in the right position - this will save you a lot of problems.

Do-it-yourself repair of plastic windows when the handle is loosened

This problem is easily solved on your own. To do this, turn the handle base plate clockwise. Under it there will be two screws that need to be tightened. If they are torn off, you will have to replace the handle completely, choosing the right one in the store.

In general, setting up plastic windows with your own hands is not difficult. It is only necessary to fully understand the design of the locking mechanism. The very device of plastic windows for different models differs slightly.

What to do if the handle does not turn

In this case, you will have to disassemble the locking mechanism. The reason may be the ingress of debris and foreign objects between the parts. If necessary, defective parts are replaced with new ones. It is better to entrust such work to specialists. Otherwise, there is a high risk that the mechanism will have to be blamed completely.

Blocking the drainage bar - what does it threaten

Such a malfunction does not require any about special knowledge and skills to correct it. What to do if the plastic window does not close by this reason? The answer is very simple: you need to open the sash and just fix it so that it does not interfere.

Prevention of malfunctions of plastic windows

To extend the life of the plastic window, periodic maintenance should be carried out. Be sure to lubricate all parts of the locking mechanisms. In the same way, the adjustment of the flaps plays a rather important role: it allows you to increase the durability of the rubber bands that ensure tight closing, and reduces the risk of having to and repair of accessories of plastic windows.

Before the production of periodic pro lacquers should study the technical documentation of plastic products and their locking mechanisms as carefully as possible so as not to aggravate malfunctions instead of preventing them.

The nuances of repairing or replacing fittings

Most often, parts of window fittings that have become unusable cannot be repaired and require replacement. At the same time, it is very important to pay attention to the weight of the window sash itself - this will have crucial when purchasing hinges or a locking mechanism. The fittings may be ideal in size, but if it is designed for less weight, there will be no sense in such a replacement.

The design of the window is also important - it depends on it which parts are suitable for it and which are not.

Important information! If the replacement of the swing-out mechanism for a plastic window is not urgent and you can get by with the adjustment, do not rush to purchase. The later the repair is made, the longer the spare parts will last. It should be understood that native parts very often turn out to be much better than those purchased separately.

Lubrication of parts of the locking mechanism and hinged hinges

The most convenient to exhaust the lubrication of the locking and tilt-and-turn mechanisms of plastic windows with special lubricants azkami-sprays, the range of which on the shelves of stores is quite wide. Such sprays perfectly penetrate between moving, rubbing parts. It is recommended to carry out these works at least two or three times a year.

But at least once a year it is necessary not only to lubricate, but also to clean the mechanisms of the old substance. It is on it that all the dirt and dust collects, which eventually renders the parts unusable. But before carrying out such work, it is necessary to study in detail the device, which is quite complex and, if subsequent installation is incorrect, will simply stop working.

When operating plastic windows, do not underestimate the importance preventive work. After all, if their age is not small, there is no guarantee that if any part fails, it will be possible to find a similar one. Otherwise, you have to change the entire mechanism and not the fact that this will succeed. Or the whole window goes under replacement, which can make a decent hole in family budget. That is why you should carefully listen to the sounds that accompany the opening and closing of the sash. When a metal rattle appears, it is urgent to lubricate and clean the parts.

Adjustment is also required periodically. Do not forget about switching seasonal modes - this will significantly extend the life of plastic windows.

very important and high-quality ventilation- it does not allow condensation to accumulate on the windows. V winter time it can turn into ice on the profile, which has a detrimental effect on it. The same advice can be attributed to the fact that heating radiators should be located under the window to remove excess moisture.

What to do if you can't fix the problem yourself

Not all faults can be dealt with on your own. Very often, a plastic window does not open due to a jammed handle and the problem cannot be solved with one's own hands. In this case, the help of a specialist is needed. But if the windows in the apartment were installed recently, then a company that respects itself and the client should have guarantee. Then look for a specialist on the side is not worth it.

Well, if the warranty service has already ended, you can look for masters on the Internet. But it is worth remembering that you need to study customer reviews about a particular company as carefully as possible. After all, you don’t want to pay a lot of money for outright hack-work. Indeed, in this case, it can turn out the same way as one of the Internet users.

Summarizing

Surely it became clear to everyone that it is better to carry out periodic maintenance on their own than to face serious problems that require the help of a specialist. After all, if you follow all the instructions specified in technical documentation, special difficulties adjustment and lubrication will not deliver. But the fact that these actions significantly extend the life of windows is an indisputable fact.

We hope that the above information was useful to our esteemed reader. If you have any questions, you can always ask them in the discussions.

From the population it is sometimes necessary to hear various complaints about plastic windows. Either the plastic window does not close, then it fogs up, then the handle has fallen off ... There are many nuances in the operation of plastic windows. What to do? The main thing is not to panic. The problem of closing a window, like any other, must be approached thoroughly and competently so as not to harm even more.

The problem is purely technical in nature: the fittings become loose over time and allow themselves tricks of this kind. It can be solved by a specialist in the installation of plastic windows, simply by adjusting the window fittings.

The plastic window does not close at all - what to do?

It often happens that the window for some reason immediately opened in two positions - this full opening and ventilation. Unfortunately, few people know what to do in such a situation. Well, if this happened in the summer, you can wait for the master. What if it's winter? Attempts to return everything to its place lead, as a rule, to a breakdown of the fittings. In fact, there is nothing complicated in this! The video at the end of this article clearly shows how to close the window with your own hands in this case.

In this situation, the most important thing is accuracy. In no case should you use force so as not to break the handle.

In conclusion, I suggest watching a video on this issue.

The plastic window does not close - what to do?

The window sash opened in two positions, the handle does not turn - what is the reason?

It often happens that during operation the plastic window does not close, there are problems with the operation of the fittings, or the sashes are skewed. Fortunately, most problems can be fixed by hand. To do this, you need to understand the causes of the malfunction and have at hand necessary tools. This is what we'll do.

We fix the problem

Sometimes the window mechanism starts to work intermittently or does not work at all. But do not be surprised that the window does not close well or blows through 5-6 years after the installation of the double-glazed window.

In rare cases, problems appear almost immediately after the installation of the structure. The fault is either a factory defect, poor-quality design, or a mistake by the installer.

Causes of failure

Causes of a faulty pvc work window:

  • fittings and their opening/closing mechanisms;
  • skewed sashes;
  • the mechanism of the window itself, which is responsible for opening and closing;
  • sealing tapes that have become unusable;
  • errors in the installation of the structure;
  • debris, dust, dirt or foreign objects clogged in the mechanism.

For a serviceable and long service life of a PVC window structure, it is recommended not to forget about its maintenance and periodically (once a season) check the operation of the mechanism, the serviceability of parts and the presence of lubrication.

Solutions

What to do when the double-glazed window does not close? How to close a window if it doesn't close? Such questions can frighten those who have little idea about the design of PVC windows. But even in such cases, you can save money on calling specialists and correct the situation yourself.

This will help detailed instructions with a visual description of troubleshooting steps:

Image Description

Problem 1

The handle of the plastic window does not turn or turns very tight.
This may be due to poor-quality fittings, insufficient lubrication, dust and debris entering the handle mechanism, or a failure in the locking system.

Solution:

First you need to make sure required quantity lubricants. Lubricate the mechanism through special holes on the top and sides of the sash. Any will do lubricant, but it is better to use silicone-based products. If this does not help, then try to check if the fittings work with the sash open. If no movement is observed, then the fittings should probably be removed and replaced with a new one.

Problem 2

The handle of the plastic window does not close completely.

This can happen when dust and dirt get into its inside.

Solution:

In this case, it should be washed, but only a specialist should do this.

Problem 3

If the handle of the plastic window is jammed in the ventilation mode.

Probably, the so-called scissors have shifted from their place, in which case they should be put back.

Solution:

To do this, remove the sash from the hinges, and look for the flying "scissors" (see photo). They should be in the upper corner of the sash and adjacent to the hinge.

We insert the part into the grooves and check its performance, then put the sash in its place. We check the operation of fittings and windows in the tilt position.

Problem 4

The plastic window does not close tightly.

Solution:

In this case, the following problems can prevent normal closing:

  • Check if there are any foreign objects in the direction of movement of the sash.
  • Try to turn the handle, if this fails, then the reason probably lies in the untimely triggered blocker, which is located on the side. To do this, press the lock and move the handle to another position. The window will then close normally.
  • The eccentric (clamp), located along the perimeter of the sash, is set to the "summer" mode. In this case, the sashes do not fit as tightly to the frame as in the "winter" mode. To remedy the situation, just take a hex wrench and turn the eccentric 90 degrees.
  • The sealing tapes have dried out and are out of order, which may be the cause of a loose fit of the sash and constant drafts. If this happens, they must be replaced.
Problem 5

The upper corner has moved away or the sash closes with difficulty.

Solution:

Probably, you should tighten and adjust the bolts on the hinges, aligning the sash in its plane. On the lower hinge, bolts allow adjustment in two planes, and on the upper hinge - only in one.

Problem 6

The sash opened simultaneously in the "opening" and "ventilation" modes.

Solution:

In this case, it is worth closing the window, since there is a high probability of malfunctions with the lower hinge. The whole sash in this position hangs on one hinge and the latter can be torn off.

  • try to close the window tightly, and turn the handle up to the ventilation mode;
  • then move it from the ventilation mode to the “opening” mode, if necessary, press the blocker on the side;
  • close a window.

If the moving parts of the window mechanism or fittings do not work or the plastic window is jammed, then it is not recommended to apply pressure and try to close the sash with force, as this will inevitably lead to major damage.

All of the above methods describe and allow you to fix problems with the window mechanism without the involvement of specialists. And manipulations must be done very carefully in order to avoid major damage.

Conclusion

The issue of malfunctioning PVC windows can also be resolved at home with detailed instructions and basic tool skills. The vast majority of breakdowns are minor and do not incur serious financial costs.

The video in this article shows how to fix a plastic window at home if it is stuck or won't close/open. Leave questions and comments in the comments.
