The stationary gas analyzer HOBBIT-T consists of sensor units (their number depends on the number of control points) and an indication unit. To control external actuating devices (ID), a switching unit (s) is included in the delivery set.

Stationary gas analyzer HOBBIT-T is used for:

measurement of oxygen content O2; measurements of the content of toxic gases (carbon monoxide CO, hydrogen sulfide H2S, sulfur dioxide SO2, chlorine Cl2, fluorine F2, hydrogen fluoride HF, ammonia NH3, ozone O3); measuring the amount of combustible gases reduced to methane CH4, propane C3H8, hexane C6H14, hydrogen H2 or carbon monoxide CO; measurement of carbon dioxide content CO2; alarms on the output of the content of determined gases in the controlled working area beyond the permissible limits; ensure safe conditions labor and use in emergency protection systems.

Note: the number of control points and the required set of gases measured by HOBBIT-T are set by the consumer when ordering a gas analyzer and determine the number of measurement channels. One channel of the gas analyzer provides measurement of one of the gases listed in the table Ranges of indications and measurements (table 2).

The maximum number of measurement channels for the gas analyzer HOBBIT-T is 16.
The operation of the stationary gas analyzer HOBBIT-T is based on measuring the currents of thermocatalytic (when measuring the amount of combustible gases), electrochemical or optical (when measuring the content of carbon dioxide) sensitive elements (sensors). The sensor current is proportional to the partial pressure of the gas it measures in air. The type of sensor used is determined by the gas to be monitored.

These devices can be configured to determine one substance or group of substances in a mixture not only with air, but also with other gases. The main difference between a gas detector and a gas analyzer is that the former has the ability to supply optical and acoustic signals about the concentration of the gas to which the device is tuned.

Series gas analyzers Hobbit-T performed by I21 are designed to control insufficient or excess oxygen content in the air of the working area, as well as to control dangerous gas contamination with combustible or toxic gases.

The set of measured gases and the number of control channels are specified by the consumer when ordering. One measuring channel provides control of one of the above gases at one point of the working area. The maximum number of channels is 16.

The gas analyzer consists of sensor units (according to the number of measurement channels, from 1 to 16) and an indication display unit. To control external executive devices, switching units can be included in the delivery set.

Hobbit-T performed by I21 provides direct reading of measurement results in digital form with indication of measurement units (mg/m 3 , or mg/dm 3 , or vol.%), chemical formula of controlled gas, channel number.

Error messages are also displayed on the display of a stationary gas analyzer, a digital dialogue mode is displayed during calibration and handling of critical situations.

A current output (0-5 mA or 4-20 mA) is provided for each channel of the measurement analyzer, and it is possible to communicate with a computer using a serial interface.

For each measurement channel, a separate LED signaling of exceeding the specified threshold levels of gas contamination and duplicating it with a built-in sound signal is provided.

In addition, a separate LED signaling of a measurement channel failure, duplicated by an audible signal, is provided for each measurement channel.

For each measurement channel, it is possible to control external actuators using relay contacts (switching unit).

The principle of operation of the gas analyzer is based on measuring the currents of electrochemical (for O 2 and toxic gases), thermal catalytic (for the sum of combustible gases) or optical (for CO 2) sensitive elements. The sensor current is proportional to the partial pressure of the measured gas in air. The type of sensor used is determined by the gas to be monitored.

The gas analyzer sensor unit is designed to convert the partial pressure of the measured gas into an electrical signal transmitted to the digital indication unit. The sensor unit contains a sensor with an amplifier circuit and a controller that provides analog-to-digital signal conversion and transmission of a serial binary code via a communication line to the indication display unit. The sensor unit is housed in a small housing with a bracket and is designed for wall mounting.

Gas analyzer display unit Hobbit-T performed by I21

The indication unit of the stationary gas analyzer Hobbit-T performed by I21

The display unit of a multi-channel gas analyzer performs the following functions: generation of supply voltages for sensor units; receiving and processing signals from sensor units; display of measurement results on the display; formation of warning signals about reaching the specified levels of gas contamination (LED and sound alarm), generation of signals current outputs; generation of control signals for switching units; communication with a computer to change settings, calibrate and read information; selection of the display operating mode and control of the built-in functions of the gas analyzer using the buttons on the front panel of the indication display unit; providing an interactive mode when calibrating the gas analyzer.

The display unit is located in metal case with two brackets for fastening to a shield or wall.

The measurement results are displayed on a liquid crystal display. If the number of channels is two or more, the measured concentration values are displayed on the display alternately cyclically, starting from the first channel. The digital display shows the channel number and the chemical formula of the measured gas in the top line, the measured gas concentration and units of measurement - in the bottom line. Mode provided manual selection channel being viewed.

To signal the achievement of threshold values of gas contamination or a malfunction of the measurement channels, a device is installed in the display unit sound alert and LED board. For each measurement channel there are LEDs for each set threshold and an "Emergency" LED. The ignition of any LED is duplicated by a sound signal.

The display unit has a current output for each measurement channel: 0-5 mA (standard) or 4-20 mA (optional).

Switching unit for stationary gas analyzers Hobbit-T, I21 version

The switching unit is designed to control external actuators (fan motor starters, sirens, etc.). Switching units BR-10 can be manufactured with a different number of relays (from 1 to 10, for different number connected external devices). If you want to connect more than 10 devices, then several switching units are used. The signals that control the operation of the switching units are fed from the display unit sequentially: from the display unit to the first switching unit, from the first switching unit to the second, etc.

The switching unit is not included in the standard scope of delivery.

Structurally, the switching unit type BR-10 is made in a unified housing for mounting on a DIN rail. The switching units use relays, the "dry" contacts of which are brought to the terminal block on the front panel of the unit. Load capacity of relay contacts: 1A, 220V.

To connect one external device, the terminal block of the switching unit has the following terminals of “dry” relay contacts: normally open contact; switchable contact; normally closed contact.

The first switching unit contains control outputs for two external devices common to all channels of the gas analyzer: "TROUBLE" - to respond to a malfunction of any measurement channel; "SIRENA" - for connecting an external sound device duplicating the built-in sound source.

All other control outputs duplicate the state of the threshold devices of the indication unit, switching when the concentration of the controlled gas exceeds the specified thresholds: the lighting of the LED "CHANNEL No.. THRESHOLD No. .." on the indication unit is duplicated by switching the corresponding output of the switching unit - "CHANNEL No.. THRESHOLD .".

Switching units BR-10 allow you to program the operation of the relay according to certain conditions. Programming is carried out by the manufacturer on the instructions of the customer, or by the customer independently using special software supplied on request.

Blocks of the Hobbit-T gas analyzer performed by I21 are connected by four-wire cables with a cross section copper wire not less than 0.75 mm 2. Recommended cable brands: PVS 4x0.75 or LIYY 4x0.75.

The gas analyzer HOBBIT-T is designed to measure the content of toxic gases, explosive gases, oxygen, carbon dioxide. Ensuring safe working conditions and use in emergency protection systems

The gas analyzer HOBBIT-T withstands an overload three times the upper threshold for 10 minutes, with the restoration of readings after removing the overload, after 30 minutes.

The display unit of the gas analyzer provides a direct reading of the measurement results in digital form with indication of the units of measurement, the chemical formula of the controlled gas and the channel number. Provides an output to the display of error messages and a dialogue mode at calibration and handling of critical situations. In the display unit, each measurement channel has a 0-5 mA current output (4-20 mA on customer's request) with conversion functions. Communication with a computer is provided using a serial RS232 or RS458 interface. Provides separate for each measurement channel LED signaling of exceeding the specified gas contamination thresholds and measurement channel failure, duplicated by a built-in sound signal. Provides control signals to the switching unit.

The switching unit, in turn, is designed to control external actuators and provides switching current of not more than 1 A, at a voltage of 220 V 50 Hz. There are three terminals on the terminal block of the switching unit, to which "dry" relay contacts are brought out.

The supply voltage of the gas analyzer is 220 V 50 Hz. Power consumption is not more than 100 watts.

DEVICE AND OPERATION

The principle of operation of the gas analyzer is based on measuring the currents of electrochemical, thermal catalytic or optical sensitive elements. The sensor current is proportional to the partial pressure of the gas it measures in air.

The gas analyzer contains from 1 to 16 sensor units, an indication unit and a switching unit(s). Sensor blocks in the "universal" configuration variant allow parallel connection per line (per cable). In the “minimum” configuration option, each sensor unit is connected to the display unit with a separate cable.

The sensor unit is designed to convert the partial pressure of the measured gas into an electrical signal transmitted to the indication unit. The sensor blocks contain sensors with circuits for amplifying and matching the electrical signal, and a controller with peripheral microcircuits that provides analog-to-digital signal conversion and communication with the display unit in the RS485 standard. Operation in the RS485 standard allows parallel connection of up to 16 sensor units per communication line.

The switching unit is designed to control external actuators. For example, starters of supply and exhaust ventilation, switched on when the gas content thresholds established by the standards are reached. The gas analyzer is equipped with two types of switching units BR 8 and BR 16 with 8 and 16 switching contact groups, respectively.

The display unit provides the formation of the supply voltage of the sensor blocks, the reception and processing of signals from the sensor blocks, the display of measurement results on the display, the generation of personnel warning signals about reaching the specified levels of gas contamination (LED and sound alarms), current output signals, switching block control signals, communication with a computer , selection of the display mode and control of the built-in functions of the gas analyzer using the buttons on the front panel of the display unit, providing an interactive mode when calibrating the gas analyzer.

Each measurement channel of the sensor block has its own individual number, which is printed on the nameplate attached to the sensor block. The indication of the measurement results for each channel in the indication block strictly corresponds to this number, regardless of which connector with the inscription “to sensors” it is connected to.

Measurement results, requests and messages of the gas analyzer are displayed on the LCD screen. When the number of channels is two or more, the concentrations are displayed cyclically in turn. measured by channels starting from the first. The mode of manual selection of the viewed channel is provided. In this mode, the display constantly shows readings for one. channel selected by the operator.

For each measurement channel there are LEDs for each set threshold and an alarm LED. The ignition of any LED is accompanied by a sound signal.

My personal opinion: the gas analyzer HOBBIT-T has some drawbacks, firstly, the price, secondly, there is no possibility to simultaneously monitor at least 2 3 channels, there is no way to turn off the built-in sound alarm, they are not divided by colors and it is inconvenient to observe the threshold LEDs, inconvenient to install , the weight of the sensor blocks is large and appearance wants improvements. But there is a plus, in some cases outweighing the disadvantages, this is the ability to take any (dry) contacts for each channel separately, i.e., if necessary, you can connect an external actuator to any threshold from any channel.

The principle of operation of the gas analyzer is based on measuring the currents of electrochemical, thermocatalytic (when measuring the amount of combustible gases) or optical (when measuring the content of carbon dioxide or methane) sensitive elements (sensors). The sensor current is proportional to the partial pressure of the gas it measures in air. The type of sensor used is determined by the gas to be monitored. The signals of sensitive elements (sensors) located in the sensor unit are fed to the inputs of amplifiers that convert, amplify and match with an analog-to-digital converter.

After turning on the power, the gas analyzer starts to work in the mode of continuous measurement of the controlled gas. The measurement results of the first channel are displayed immediately after the power is turned on. When the set threshold level of gas contamination for toxic gas is exceeded or when the oxygen content exceeds the set threshold levels, regardless of the currently viewed channel, an audible and LED alarm is activated. The gas analyzer has a battery discharge control circuit, which signals a decrease in the supply voltage below an acceptable level. When the battery voltage drops below the acceptable level, the display shows the message “Ac. discharged."

Specific configuration gas analyzer HOBBIT-T determined by the consumer and displayed in the passport (Appendix A): the number of measurement channels (one channel - one analyzed gas), the list of analyzed gases, measurement ranges, set thresholds and other parameters.

Portable multicomponent gas analyzers HOBBIT-T (transl.) with a remote sensor are divided into two main modifications:
