Revenge of the Sith

Anakin Skywalker went on about the chancellor, who promised to teach him the techniques of the dark side and power over death, which made it possible to save the hero's wife from death. Since in a dream Anakin saw his wife dying.

On 19 BBY, Skywalker revealed the Chancellor's identity to the Jedi Council and, disobeying orders, followed the Masters, who wanted to arrest Palpatine.

In a fight to the death, Palpatine was nearly killed by hand, but was saved by Skywalker, who disarmed the Jedi. This fatal act, in which Windu died, made Anakin feel the greatest sense of guilt. His spirit was broken and he embraced the dark side without hesitation, becoming Darth Sidious' apprentice.

Upon joining the Sith Order, Anakin ceased to exist, becoming the legendary Darth Vader.

"Now get up... Darth Vader!"

Anakin becomes Darth Sidious' apprentice

An excellent manipulator Palpatine, convinced Vader that the Jedi are traitors and traitors who must be destroyed.

Taking command of the 501st Legion, the hero attacked the Jedi Temple, killing absolutely everyone, including masters and young younglings. This attack on the Temple was the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge.

"Do what you must, Darth Vader. No hesitation, no mercy"

Having completed the task, Sidious gave Vader a new assignment - to end the Clone Wars and bring peace to the Galaxy by killing members of the Separatist Council on the planet Mustafar.

Arriving on Mustafar, Vader easily made his way into the meeting room, where he killed every single one. The most recent to be killed was Nute Gunray (Viceroy of the Trade Federation), an ally of Sidious who attacked Naboo 13 years ago. After Gunray's death, all droids were disabled.(The Empire used only clones).

Although Vader still had doubts, he convinced himself that everything he did was for the good of the Republic (naive Anakin).

Returning to his ship, Vader saw the approaching ship of Padmé, who was deeply upset by the massacre at the Temple. He tried to convince her that the one who wants to turn his wife against her husband is to blame for everything. Padme asked to fly away with her, but Vader insisted on the opposite, dreaming of overthrowing Sidious in order to take his place.

When Vader saw his former master Kenobi hiding on Amidala's ship, he thought that his wife had betrayed him and used a power grab on her. Filled with hatred, Vader engaged Kenobi in battle.

Anakin Skywalker played by Hayden Christensen

The duel of the great masters was long and ended on the banks of the lava river. Vader was so confident in his abilities that he attacked the Jedi from a bad position without hesitation. As a result of this, Dart ventured both feet and left arm. Shouting words of hatred towards Kenobi, Vader's body caught fire.

Obi-Wan left a former apprentice to die.

Vader's body was burned in half, but he supported himself with the Force and hatred. Darth Sidious came to the aid of the student. Vader was rushed to Coruscant where his damaged body parts were repaired. To increase his anger, Sidious ordered the student to remain conscious while the operation was in progress. He began to look more like a cyborg than a human. It contained the technologies that were used to create the .

When Vader asked about Padme, Sidious lied that he killed her in anger, after which the hero destroyed the droids with the help of the Force and damaged the premises. Vader's sole purpose from now on was to serve his master.

Terrible wounds and psychological trauma robbed Vader most his strength, potential and changed his character completely. Wearing the new heavy armor, Vader was clumsy and his mask limited his vision, forcing him to change his fighting style. Sith considered himself incomplete, stuck in tight armor that caused bouts of claustrophobia.

legends

In the service of the Emperor

With no more purpose in life than serving his master, Vader became the second man in the Empire. He had a personal palace on Coruscant. Darth's personal soldiers were the stormtroopers of the 501st Legion, who were called "Vader's Fist".

Vader carried out the tasks of Sidious, attracting to the side of the Empire big forces. His main task was Order 66, which was to find and destroy the remnants of the Jedi.

Leaving the past forever, the Sith changed the color of his sword to red.

In one of the first missions, Vader was sent by Sidious to Mercana to deal with clone commandos who refused to kill fellow Jedi. In this mission, the Sith were attacked by the Jedi Bol Shetak, who attempted to protect the commandos. In this duel, only thanks to the power, Vader managed to win. Vader himself considered this mission a failure, as he missed two more Jedi Roan Shrine and Oli Starstone.

The master's complaints about his own weakness led Sidious to send him to the Jedi Temple, where Vader was supposed to remember the massacre he committed there. Instead, the Sith hit memories and from that time on, he could no longer be in places that reminded him of the past: Naboo and Tatooine.

Vaidr's next victim was Fang Zar, a senator who had taken refuge in Bail Organa's palace. Although Sidious wanted Zar alive, Vader accidentally killed him. This was the second failure of the lord, for which he received a reprimand.

Weakness drove the Sith crazy. He wanted revenge on Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was responsible for this. When the Lord found out about the possible location of the Jedi, he went there. On Kessel, where Kenobi was supposed to appear, Vader was trapped by eight Jedi. The first two he killed with a sword, the third was strangled powerful hand. The pressure of the Jedi left the Sith without an arm, with a damaged leg, but Vader continued to fight until the soldiers of the 501st Legion came to the rescue.

Returning to the Emperor, Vader learned that Sidious had spread rumors about the destruction of 50 Jedi by an apprentice, in place of 8 with the help of clones (so Vader's greatness is far-fetched).

Attack on Kashyyyk

Vader continued his training, partnering with Imperial Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. Along with him, he used the presence of the Jedi on Kashyyyk as a reason to invade the planet. The purpose of this operation was to enslave the Wookiees, which were to be used in the construction of the Death Star.

When the bombardment of Kashyyyk began, Vader landed at the city of Kachiro, where the Jedi were hiding and hacked his way through the corpses of the Wookiees, moving towards the enemy positions. Vader defeated the five Wookiee Jedi, meeting with Master Roan Shrine, who had left him on Mercan.

The power and strength of Vader increased significantly, so he easily defeated Shrine, revealing to him the secret of his identity. Having defeated the master, Vader felt that he had achieved incredible power and from now on did not consider armor to be his prison.

After the victory of the Empire, Palpatine launched into funds mass media messages about his student, mysterious to many inhabitants of the galaxy, and Vader, feeling the power, began to think about how to overthrow the teacher.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

On Kashyyyk, Vader also fought the Jedi and found his young son Galen in one of the houses. The Sith was about to kill the boy, but felt great power in him, taking him as his student.

No one knew that Vader had an apprentice. He began to train the boy, bringing up hatred and anger in him. Darth wanted to use the apprentice to oppose the Emperor, as Galen possessed great strength, greater than himself.

After 10 years of training, in 2 BBY, Vader's apprentice was ready. Sith christened him(Star Assassin) and gave him his first assignment, which was "the meaning of his life" to find the survivors of Order 66, the Jedi. At the apprentice's disposal, Vader issued a Proxy holodroid and a Rogue Shadow starship with a charming pilot.

After killing several Jedi, Vader appeared with Starkiller before Palpatine. Unexpectedly, he betrayed the student by "killing" him. As the Sith later explained to the surviving Starkiller, the Emperor found out about the student and the imaginary death saved his life.

In order to defeat Sidious, Vader sent Starkiller on a mission to gather all the members of the Alliance in order to destroy the Emperor. Dart's plan was cunning, he again framed his student, forcing him to gather all the enemies of the Empire in one place. When the meeting took place, all the heads of the Alliance were arrested. In the fight with the apprentice, Vader emerged victorious.

Starkiller survived and soon returned to take revenge on the teacher. Infiltrating the Death Star under construction, he fought the Sith Lord and defeated him. Sidious offered Galen to take Vader's place, but Marek chose the side of the world. To save the members of the Alliance, he donated own life becoming the first Hero of the Rebellion.

After this incident, Vader seriously thought about how to overthrow Sidious.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

In 1 BBY, Vader cloned the body of Galen Marek on Kamino. Many clones went insane until the perfect clone number 1138 was created. However, this clone fled, tormented by the memories of the original.

To get Starkiller back, Vader hired Boba Fett to steal Juno Eclipse, whom Marek was in love with.

Nothing good came of this, as Starkiller, having teamed up with the Alliance, struck at Kamino, where they created clones for the Empire. In the battle with the clone apprentice, Vader lost. So, Kamino was under the control of the Alliance, and Dart himself was captured. The Sith Lord was on trial, but Boba Fett saved him.

Vader's apprentice disappeared and all plans to overthrow the Emperor failed.

New Hope

Back in 0 BBY, Vader desired to locate the Rebel base and retrieve the stolen plans for the Death Star. According to the 501st Legion, the plans were on a ship from Alderaan flying to the Tantive IV.

The princess's ship was intercepted, but the plans slipped through the hands of the Sith. Interrogation of the senator from Alderaan also yielded nothing. Back then, Vader had no idea that he was torturing his own daughter.

Tracking the traces of the droid in which Leia hid the plans, Vader sent a team to Tatooine, where Owen and Bera Lars were executed while trying to find out information about the droid.

Vader proceeded to torture Leia, trying to get the location of the Rebel base from her. Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin suggested using another method of torture - genocide. Threatened with the destruction of Alderaan, Organa gave away the location - Dantooine. However, Tarkin destroyed the planet anyway.

Darth Vader vs Kenobi

"Now he is more machine than man, an evil twisted machine." Kenobi

Soon, the Death Star pulled the Millennium Falcon, which was near the destroyed Alderaan. On board the ship were:, and. For the first time in years, Vader felt the presence of his old master.

The Lord quietly wandered the corridors of the station until he met Obi-Wan. Their duel was short, as Kenobi simply extinguished his sword by merging with the Force. Despite this, Vader felt that he had avenged his crippled body.

After allowing the Millennium Falcon to leave with Lelei Organa and the plans for the Death Star on board, Vader tracked the ship using the beacon that was installed on it.

The beacon led the Death Star to the planet Yavin, near which a legendary battle took place, the result of which was the destruction of the Empire's greatest weapon by the new Rebel hero - Luke Skywalker (Anakin's son). Vader himself, who fought in a TIE fighter, almost died.

For these actions, Vader received another reprimand from the Emperor.

Soon, Dart learned the name of the pilot who had the highest score in the Battle of Yavin, it turned out to be 19-year-old Skywalker. Vader wanted to capture his son in order to incline him to the dark side.

Luke was captured by the Empire several times, but he always managed to escape.

The Empire Strikes Back

In 3 ABY, a Rebel base on Hoth was discovered. When attacking the planet, most of the rebels managed to escape.

After a battle that ended in victory for the Empire, Vader was ordered by Sidious to capture Luke Skywalker, whom he wanted to become his new apprentice, replacing father with son.

In order to capture the Millennium Falcon, the Overlord used all his connections with the bounty hunters. He figured out where the ship went and ambushed Cloud City owned by Lando Calrissian, who won it in Sabakk. Han Solo, in agreement with Boba Fett, was frozen in carbonite and handed over to a mercenary. Leia Organa and Chewbacca were supposed to be Vader's captives, but were unexpectedly rescued by Calrissian.

To save his friends, Luke Skywalker also flew to Cloud City, who met in a duel with Vader. During the battle, the young Jedi lost his arm, after which the Sith Lord revealed his essence to him:

vader: « Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father?»

Luke: « Quite enough! He said you killed him!»

vader: « No. I am your father!»

Refusing to join his father, Luke jumped into the mine.

Vader found his son's lightsaber, once his own, and a severed arm, which he presented to the Emperor as trophies.

Sidious began to notice changes in Vader, who was very proud of his son, whom he personally wanted to lure to the side of darkness. Therefore, the Emperor decided to kill Luke by sending him to Tatooine to Jabba's palace. However, Mara failed to get inside.

Return of the Jedi

Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker

In 4 ABY, Vader was overseeing the construction of the Death Star 2 when he sensed Luke approaching, in a shuttle bound for the moon Endor. Dart did not touch the shuttle.

On the moon, Luke himself surrendered to the Imperials and was taken to Vader. In an attempt to protect his son from Palpatine, Darth tried to convince him to join him, but Skywalker refused.

“I know that there is good in you. The emperor was unable to etch it entirely." Luke

Aboard the Death Star, in the presence of Palpatine, a decisive battle took place between Luke and Vader. Dart tried to persuade his son to the dark side by threatening the safety of Leia, Luke's sister. In anger, Skywalker cut off Vader's hand, which, like his own, turned out to be mechanical, forcing him to rethink the situation and extinguish the sword.

Palpatine wanted Luke to finish off his father, but he refused, which forced Vader to return to his bright beginning. In the dark heart of Darth, Anakin Skywalker woke up again, who, seeing how Palpatine was trying to kill his son with Force lightning, picked him up and threw him into the reactor shaft.

Palpatine's power damaged Vader's life support. He asked Luke to remove his mask so that he could see his son with his own eyes for the last time. Thus died the Chosen One who brought balance to the Force.

His spirit appeared to Luke and Leia, after which he found peace.

During this time, Luke had nearly completed his Jedi training and learned from the dying Master Yoda that Vader was indeed his father. He learns about his father's past from the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and also learns that Leia is his sister. During an operation on the forest moon of Endor, he surrenders to Imperial forces and is brought before Vader. Aboard the Death Star, Luke resists the Emperor's call to unleash his anger and fear for his friends (and thus turn to the dark side of the Force). However, Vader, using the Force, penetrates Luke's mind, learns of Leia's existence and threatens to turn her into a servant of the dark side of the Force in his place. Luke succumbs to his rage and almost kills Vader by chopping off right hand my father. But at this moment, the young man sees Vader's cybernetic hand, then looks at his own, realizes that he is dangerously close to the fate of his father and curbs his anger.

When the Emperor approaches him, tempting Luke to kill Vader and take his place, Luke throws away his lightsaber, refusing to land a fatal blow on his father. In anger, Palpatine attacks Luke with lightning bolts. Luke writhes under the Emperor's torture, trying to fight. Palpatine's anger grows, Luke asks Vader for help. At this time, the confrontation between the Dark and Light Sides rises in Vader. He is afraid to rebel against the Emperor, but at the same time, he does not want to lose his only son. The Emperor almost kills Luke when Anakin Skywalker finally defeats the Dark Side and returns to the Light Side again. After that, he grabs the Emperor and throws him into the Death Star reactor. However, he receives fatal lightning strikes.

Before he dies, he asks his son to take off his breathing mask so he can look at Luke "with his own eyes". For the first (and, as it turned out, the last) time, father and son actually see each other. Before dying, Vader admits to Luke that he was right and the Light Side remained in him. He asks his son to convey these words to Leah. Luke flies away with his father's body as the Death Star explodes, destroyed by the Rebel Alliance.

That same night, Luke cremates his father as a Jedi. And while celebrating victory on the forest moon of Endor, Luke sees the ghost of Anakin Skywalker dressed as a Jedi, standing next to the ghosts of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda.

The Force Awakens[ | ]

About thirty years after the events of the sixth episode, one of the members of the organization that replaced the Empire, the First Order, Kylo Ren, the son of Leia and Han Solo, and the grandson of Anakin, got Darth Vader's melted and mangled helmet. The film shows Kylo kneeling in front of the helmet and promising that he will finish what Vader started.

Fulfillment of prophecy[ | ]

Upon first meeting Anakin, Qui-Gon Jin considers him the Chosen One, the child who will restore the balance of the Force. The Jedi believed that the Chosen One would bring rebalancing through the destruction of the Sith. Yoda believes that the prophecy can be misinterpreted. In reality, Anakin first destroyed many Jedi in the Temple on Coruscant and a large number of other Jedi during the formative years of the Empire, thus fulfilling the prophecy in a peculiar way and bringing balance to the Force, equalizing the number of Sith and Jedi (Darth Sidious and Darth Vader on one side of the Force, Yoda and Obi-Wan on the other side). After 20 years, Darth Vader kills the Emperor and sacrifices himself, leaving neither the Jedi nor the Sith. Luke Skywalker, son of Anakin, became the new Jedi after the final showdown with Darth Vader, completing his final training.

Armor of Darth Vader[ | ]

Darth Vader costume- a portable life support system that he was forced to wear to compensate for the severe damage he received as a result of a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi in 19 BC. b. It was designed to support and protect the charred body of a former Jedi. The costume was made in the ancient traditions of the Sith, according to which warriors of the dark side of the Force had to adorn themselves with heavy armor. The suit was constructed using numerous Sith Alchemy techniques to augment Vader's severely diminished vitality and abilities.

The suit contained a wide variety of life support systems, the most important of which was a complex Breathe-helping machine, - and gave Vader relative freedom of movement without the need to use a flying chair. In the process of use, it broke down several times, it was repaired and improved. The suit was eventually irreparably damaged by a powerful bolt of lightning from Emperor Palpatine aboard the second Death Star after Vader saved his son, Luke Skywalker, from near death. After his sudden death, Vader in armor was buried by Skywalker in the ritualistic Jedi funeral ceremonies in the forest of Endor in 4 ABY. Some 30 years later, his grandson Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) bows before Vader's melted and mangled helmet, promising to finish what his grandfather started.

Jedi Knight [ | ]

Kenobi: « Practicing your lightsaber as diligently as your wits, you could compete with Master Yoda himself.» skywalker: « Thought I could.» Kenobi: « Only in dreams, my very young padawan.» ―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker trained under one of the strongest members of the Jedi Order, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Thanks to a mentor, he learned almost all styles of lightsaber wielding, which made him an incredibly strong opponent, despite his young age.

Skywalker preferred to use, the most aggressive and aimed at the physical suppression of the opponent, perfectly suited to the wayward and impulsive nature of the young man. Natural talent allowed him to quickly master new techniques, for the sake of his own ego, and, after a while, the Jedi began to consider himself an equal to Yoda himself. Anakin also mastered the art of dual-wielding lightsabers on his own, which came in handy during his duel with Count Dooku on Geonosis and several other times during the Separatist Crisis.

Over the long ten years of conflict, Skywalker, who received the title of Jedi Knight, took part in a great many battles and fights, continuing to hone his skills and abilities. Evidence of his skill can be successful battles with Asajj Ventress, Dooku's personally trained Dark Jedi, General Grievous' MagnaGuards IG-100, and his own teacher in training sparring. Relying on both strength and agility, Anakin could easily parry or evade enemy attacks, immediately responding with swift counterstrikes. The use of the Jem So often forced the Jedi to call forth fury and anger in combat, pushing him more and more towards the dark side. During his final confrontation with Dooku, Skywalker surrendered himself completely to these dangerous emotions, allowing them to fuel his power and control his actions. With incredible ease, he overcame the almost impenetrable protection of the count, who was once considered the best swordsman of the Order, both brushes of the Sith Lord, and then brutally executed at the suggestion of Chancellor Palpatine. Before his death, Dooku recognized the opponent as the best fifth form practitioner he had ever seen.

Sith Lord [ | ]

When Anakin Skywalker finally embraced the dark side of the Force and the title of Darth Vader, he transformed his fighting style into an even more brutal and aggressive one. Yet the young, strong, and gifted Sith lacked experience, poise, and concentration. Calling on the Dark Side, he could not quite control the granted power, anger clouded his mind and clarity of thoughts, preventing him from fully enjoying the benefits of the fifth form. Ultimately, the inability to control emotions was the reason for the defeat of the Sith in a duel on Mustafar.

Once imprisoned in an armored life support suit, Vader had to rely entirely on the newfound power of mechanical prosthetics. His fighting style became clumsy, consisting of nothing but sharp vertical strikes aimed at knocking him down and finishing off his opponent on the ground. The Sith turned on the elements and, trying to somehow compensate for his own sluggishness and slowness.

However, the dark lord quickly managed to overcome his limitations and created a unique form of combat that absorbed many techniques, Soresu, Ataru, Jem So, and even the highest, most dangerous. He turned the disadvantages of heavy cybernetic armor into advantages, using its weight and the power of implants to deliver incredibly powerful strikes. During the fight, the Sith Lord made movements only with his elbows and wrists, and not with his entire arm as a whole. Vader also regained some of his former mobility, learning to use the Force to perform acrobatic stunts. A two-handed grip on the hilt, unexpected and unpredictable lunges, a surprisingly quick reaction and amazing intuition turned the dark lord into a formidable opponent again. One of his favorite tactics was to force his enemies to release their emotions, convince them that they were pushing him, in fact, wasting all their strength, and then disarm them with a single blow. Vader could use various options of his own style, using a one-handed grip for greater accuracy and economy of movement while attacking. He acted similarly in his fight with Luke Skywalker on Bespin. Going on the defensive, the Sith Lord held the hilt of his lightsaber with both hands, pressing his elbows to his body and holding the blade straight ahead, using only his hands. This position provided protection for the body and vulnerable control panel on the chest, but did not cover the limbs.

The Dark Lord learned from the ill-fated duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi and learned to control his feelings in combat, acting intelligently, deliberately, channeling the power of the dark side, not allowing rage to blind him. Vader often practiced with training droids that were stronger and faster than normal living beings. Such sparring helped the Sith's skills to always be honed, even with a long absence of actual combat practice. Despite the stiffness of his movements, he did not experience problems in duels with dexterous and frisky opponents.

Force abilities[ | ]

Jedi Knight [ | ]

Due to the fact that Skywalker was born with the highest concentration of midi-chlorians in the blood at that time and was considered the Chosen One, his potential for the Force was truly enormous. Very young and largely untrained due to his late joining the Jedi Order, Anakin was one of the most powerful proponents of the Light Side of his time. However, training with a lightsaber attracted the young man much more than practicing the techniques of the Force. As a result, his knowledge in this area was narrowed down to a few essential techniques.

The high level of midi-chlorians not only gave Skywalker a close connection to the Force, but also made him unnecessarily arrogant and self-confident. Achieving much greater success than other students, Anakin continued to feed his pride and conceit.

The Jedi was a true master of telekinesis, able to lift even huge objects with minimal effort. He could perform by moving long distances in this way, and use Force Push and. During the Separatist Crisis, Anakin mastered one of the dark abilities: Force Choke, using it more than once during the conflict. His own speed and creation techniques were also familiar to him. Even as a child, Skywalker discovered in himself the gift of foresight, with the help of which he learned about the imminent death of his mother and wife. On Geonosian, he managed to establish contact with a wild rick, demonstrating a technique.

Sith Lord [ | ]

Due to the horrendous body damage sustained in the duel on Mustafar, a significant portion of the potential of Skywalker's Force, now Darth Vader, was lost. And yet, the Sith Lord possessed great power and the necessary skill to emerge victorious from almost any fight.

However, he receives fatal lightning strikes. In fact, Darth Vader is a kind of golem Palpatine. The resulting lightning wounds could not have killed Darth Vader, as in the comics, Vader's suit could withstand much more strong blows. Darth Vader dies due to a rupture of communication with the Emperor, who has kept him alive since the events on Mustafar.

Before he dies, he asks his son to take off his breathing mask so he can look at Luke "with his own eyes". About thirty years after the events of episode six, one of the members of the First Order organization that replaced the Empire, Kylo Ren, the son of Leia and Han Solo, and the grandson of Anakin, obtained Darth Vader's melted and mangled helmet. The film shows Kylo kneeling in front of the helmet and promising that he will finish what Vader started.

Fulfillment of prophecy

Upon first meeting Anakin, Qui-Gon Jin considers him the Chosen One, a child who will restore the balance of the Force. The Jedi believed that the Chosen One would bring rebalancing through the destruction of the Sith. Yoda believes that the prophecy can be misinterpreted. In fact, Anakin first destroyed many Jedi in the Temple on Coruscant and a large number of other Jedi during the formative years of the Empire, in a peculiar way fulfilling the prophecy and bringing balance to the Force, equalizing the number of Sith and Jedi (Darth Sidious and Darth Vader on the same side of the Force, Yoda and Obi - Wang on the other hand). After 20 years, Darth Vader kills the Emperor and sacrifices himself, leaving neither the Jedi nor the Sith. Luke Skywalker, son of Anakin, became the new Jedi after the final showdown with Darth Vader, completing his final training.

Armor of Darth Vader

Darth Vader costume- A portable life support system that Anakin Skywalker was forced to wear to compensate for the serious damage he received as a result of a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar in 19 BC. b. It was designed to support and protect the charred body of a former Jedi. The costume was made in the ancient traditions of the Sith, according to which the warriors of the dark side Force had to adorn themselves with heavy armor. The suit was constructed using numerous Sith Alchemy techniques to augment Vader's severely diminished vitality and abilities.

The suit contained a wide variety of life support systems, the most important of which was a sophisticated breathing apparatus, and gave Vader relative freedom of movement without the need for a flying chair.

Kenobi: « Practicing your lightsaber as hard as your wits, you could compete with Master Yoda himself.» skywalker: « Thought I could.» Kenobi: « Only in dreams, my very young padawan.» ―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker (source)

Anakin Skywalker trained under one of the strongest members of the Jedi Order, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Thanks to a mentor, he learned almost all styles of lightsaber wielding, which made him an incredibly strong opponent, despite his young age.

Skywalker preferred to use the fifth form of combat, the most aggressive and aimed at physically suppressing the opponent, perfectly suited to the wayward and impulsive nature of the young man. Natural talent allowed him to quickly master new techniques, for the sake of his own ego, and, after a while, the Jedi began to consider himself equal to Grand Master Yoda himself. Anakin also mastered the art of dual-wielding lightsaber combat on his own, which came in handy during his duel with Count Dooku on Geonosis and several other times during the Separatist Crisis.

With incredible ease, he overcame the almost impenetrable defenses of the count, who was once considered the best swordsman of the Order, cut off both brushes of the Sith Lord, and then brutally executed at the suggestion of Chancellor Palpatine. Before his death, Dooku recognized the opponent as the best fifth form practitioner he had ever seen.

Sith Lord

Sith turned on the elements of Soresu and Ataru, trying to somehow compensate for his own slowness and slowness.

However, the dark lord quickly managed to overcome his limitations and created a unique form of combat that absorbed the techniques of many Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Jem So and Juyo, even the highest, most dangerous. Vader was able to apply various variations of his own style, using a one-handed grip for greater accuracy and economy of movement during an attack.

Force abilities

Jedi Knight

He could perform Force Leap, moving long distances in this way, and use Force Push and Mind Trick. During the Separatist Crisis, Anakin mastered one of the dark abilities: Choke Force, using it more than once during the conflict. Techniques to increase his own speed and create a Force Barrier were also familiar to him. As a child, Skywalker discovered in himself the gift of foresight, with the help of which he learned about the imminent death of his mother and wife. At Petranaki's Geonosian arena, he was able to make contact with a wild rick by demonstrating animal control.

Sith Lord

Due to the horrendous body damage sustained in the duel on Mustafar, a significant portion of the potential of Skywalker's Force, now Darth Vader, was lost. And yet, the Sith Lord possessed great power and the necessary skill to emerge victorious from almost any fight.

Preliminary note: This article is for the insatiable fans of the movie epic " star Wars and not to be taken too seriously, it's just a different take on this classic franchise as well as one of the most revered villains to ever hit the silver screen.

Darth Vader undoubtedly strangled a certain number of his fellow soldiers with the help of the dark side of the Force, as well as those who stood in the way of the Empire, which seeks complete dominance in Star Wars. But was he, in fact, 100% villain, or more of a powerful pawn at the center of an intergalactic chess game that began thousands of years earlier between the Jedi and the Sith?

In fact, Vader fulfilled the "prophecy" at the end of Return of the Jedi, once again tipping the balance in favor of the Force, killing the Emperor who represented the forces of evil and saving the life of his son Luke. It probably took him 30 years, but he went back to the person he was before he put on the mask, that is, Anakin Skywalker, and perhaps during this time he discovered what was wrong with the Jedi , and the Sith.

The argument here is not about whether Vader was a saint, it's about something else altogether - just that the Jedi and Sith are just as guilty of his unholy actions as the war that is fought in these films everywhere, even "in the most distant parts of this galaxy."

Now, before the internet rebels against this theory, let's get down to the facts.

New direction

We are moving towards a screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December. The Last Jedi), to the second series of the new trilogy, and here, perhaps, there is a different point of view on the Jedi, even from the already iconic Luke Skywalker. Perhaps they are not seen as the completely pure heroes that they have always been perceived to be.

Even in the first trailer for The Last Jedi, Luke (played by Mark Hamill) says, "The time of the Jedi is coming to an end." This phrase may great amount values, although this is part of only a two-minute teaser. However, it fits in well with the debate that has been going on on the Internet since the return of Star Wars in 2015, along with The Force Awakens.

Why Star Wars is a great movie

The Economist 06/10/2016
This film talks about how the new "Emperor-like" character Snoke is neither a Jedi nor a Sith, and the same applies to his apprentice Kylo Ren. But why is that? Shouldn't there be a division into light and darkness?

Rumor has it, confirmed in some of the footage from the trailer (from now on, it's all about subtleties and details meant for very big fans) that we'll probably learn more about the first Jedi in this movie, thousands of years before they're introduced. events. They are neither light nor dark, and the intended balance in the Force will be different from what we saw in the first six films.

In addition, it seems that Luke - perhaps he learned that his father first joined the dark side, and then began to train and make himself a Jedi - doubts arose as to whether a person, including a Jedi, could be completely on the side of good or evil. There are shades of gray, and if you take them out of your life, then you end up with Darth Vader.

Anakin Skywalker

Let's take a look back at the time before Luke's birth and focus on Dart's life in previous episodes.

Anakin Skywalker (played by Hayden Christiansen) was a student of the Jedi, who told him that all sorts of attachments and emotions were not characteristic of their kind. They were peacekeepers who had no right to marry and have children. They had a more important calling - to protect the galaxy from those whose sole purpose was to rule.

Everything is fine if we talk about feelings, but in life everything happened not quite like that, and young Skywalker noticed this.

First of all, Anakin Skywalker married Padme (Natalie Portman) and then discovered that she would have a child with him. He also had a dream in which she was dying in childbirth, and so he began looking for a way to save his love and his unborn children. He was unable to do so with the help of the Jedi Code and the advice of Master Yoda, but at that moment one of his mentors told him to spy on his friend. Does anyone see a problem here? Later, when Anakin himself is about to tell Mace Windu (Samuel Jackson) that his close friend and mentor, the Emperor, was the dark power-bound Sith Lord they are looking for, he realizes that Mace had instantly made the decision to have his kill him rather than bring him to court and give him a chance to face the law because, in his words, "he's too powerful to stay alive." And so Anakin takes action, overthrows Windu and declares his loyalty to the Emperor. Later, he did some questionable things (cough, cough, killed the cubs), but it was all done in the name of love.

In no case did the Jedi act with complete impartiality and only in accordance with their teachings, and he knew it. He may have been manipulated by Palpatine, but he was not particularly helped by his observation of what other Jedi were doing. In his opinion, he made a choice in favor of the lesser of two evils.

"Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is a villain!" Obi-Wan tells him during their great battle on the planet Mustafar - this is the same battle in which Ovi-Wan cuts off all his limbs and leaves him at the moment when he is already on fire.

"I think they're the Jedi villains," Anakin replies.

Return of the Jedi

And now let's turn to Luke's journey and how the events in the film "Return of the Jedi" ended.

In the pre-Jedi films, Luke was misled as to what happened to his father and then told not to save his friends because he needed to continue his studies with Yoda. "Let them die and you must perfect your lightsaber skills" was basically what he was told.

As he battles his father - now Darth - and defeats him, he once again refuses to kill him or let him die and takes his place at the side of the Emperor based on the Sith code. After that, the Emperor tries to kill Luke, but at that moment Dart intervenes in the ongoing events.

Instead of watching the death of his enemy (his son), he intervenes, while ignoring both the Sith code and the Jedi code, and acts according to his heart. He kills his mentor, then dies himself, but saves his boy. That is, Darth Vader does all this for love, which was forbidden by the Jedi code, and in this way he returns balance to the Force and the Galaxy. In addition, he may be creating a model for a new way of life - it is no longer the Sith and Jedi, but the Grays.

This is similar to what Kylo Ren says in The Force Awakens when he looks at Darth's mask melting: "I'll finish what you started, grandpa."

Ren is the son of Han Solo and General Leia, and in addition, he rebels against the teachings of the Jedi, leaves Luke's new academy and tries to eradicate the Jedi once and for all.

Wait, but he killed his own father. So what, he's clearly a bad guy. But is it? Only time will tell.

Good day to all self-respecting readers of the site site!

Today I would like to puzzle you with a poll that may not dispel the darkness of the mystery on this issue, but at least give us all food for thought and express the public opinion of the GRU.

So, recently reviewing Star Wars films and reading articles on their world, this very question came to my mind: but still, who was the father of our "darling" Anakin Anikeia, also later known as Darth Vader.

To begin with, I propose to look at how Anakin was seen by us in the course of the plot development:

I believe that everyone is perfectly familiar with the series and there is no need to repeat its plot here. =) In this case, I propose to simply return to the moment when the boy Tatooine finds Qui-Gon Jinn.

Qui-Gon: He has an unusually large flow of Force.

Qui-Gon: Who is his father?

Anakin's mother: He doesn't have a father.

Anakin's mother: I carried him, I gave birth to him, I raised him.

Anakin's mother: I can't explain everything.

Thus, in fact, the first, most canonical version of Anakin's origin is born here - he did not have a father, and he himself is a creation midi-chlorian. And it's not surprising that it does. The Jedi have long been waiting for the Chosen One (though for a while, while the Sith were considered destroyed, this prophecy was considered fulfilled), who was supposed to bring balance to the Force.

True, there are suspicions here that if it was the midi-chlorians who voluntarily went for this, then perhaps they were midi-chlorians of the dark side. =)

Midi-chlorians, they are. ;)

Anyway, midi-chlorians is our number one candidate for parenthood.

Now, if we think a little more, we can assume that midi-chlorians they didn’t do it arbitrarily (well, after all, why do they need it?), but they were controlled by someone’s will. Moreover, this "someone" clearly had something to do with Strength and knew how to use it (otherwise, how would he/she know about midi-chlorians?).

Let's welcome our number 2 parenting candidate: Darth Plagueis.

Darth Plagueis the Wise (Darth Sidious' teacher)

This Sith Lord was, according to Darth Sidious, so powerful that he could control midi-chlorians to create life. So he could very well be participating in Anakin's mind. (Moreover, many fans of the series adhere to this version. Although, I have not yet found a 100% reliable source where it would be described that Plagueis created Anakin)

As an alternative to the first two candidates, I propose to take Darth Sidious, who managed to visit the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic and the first emperor of the Galactic Empire. After all, it was he who taught Anakin, had such an influence on him, and told him about Plagueis and his powers. Perhaps he himself was either the father or the creator of Anakin?

Darth Sidious before plastic surgery to change his face.

Candidate number 4 is Qui-Gon Jinn. He took the boy from Tatooine. What if he didn't just find it there? ;) Although, of course, there is no direct reason to believe that he is Anakin's father, but still his unexpected concern for the slave boy raises questions.
