Three-phase asynchronous electric motor AO2-92-4u3 is designed to drive various mechanisms in stationary installations and for operation as a mechanism drive on ships of an unlimited navigation area, except emergency equipment. Produced for the needs National economy, the Russian Navy with the sea and river registers of shipping of the Russian Federation.

The three-phase asynchronous electric motor AO2-92-4u3 is also manufactured in accordance with the requirements of regulatory and technical documentation for nuclear power plants.

The design of an asynchronous AC motor AO2-92-4u3

Design and installation method: IM 1001, IM 1002, IM 2001, IM2002, IM 3011 (according to GOST 2479 - 79). At the request of the customer, motors with a different mounting method are manufactured.

Climatic performance- moderate, general climatic marine (U, OM) according to GOST 15150.

Degree of protection against impact environment IP 44 according to GOST 17494-87.

Working mode- continuous S1 in accordance with GOST 183-74 (for general industrial) and S1 in accordance with GOST R 52776 (for execution with acceptance by Rosatom and ship execution).

Safety class– 2N according to NP-001 (for execution with acceptance by Rosatom).

Estimated earthquake level– 9 points on the MSK-64 scale (for execution with Rosatom acceptance).

Type of current- variable three-phase.

Current frequency– 50 and 60 Hz.

Voltage– 220/380V or 380 V. At the request of the customer, it is possible to manufacture motors for a different voltage.

Direction of rotation- any.

Permissible operating height*– 1000 m above sea level.

The AO2 multi-speed electric motor is used in the drive of mechanisms with step speed regulation. The power of the AO2 multi-speed motor is set based on certain conditions. The first release of a unified series of asynchronous motors with general purpose AO was carried out in 1949. This series has now been discontinued. Since 1961, the second single series of AO2 asynchronous electric motors has been produced.

Features of AO2 electric motors

Despite the fact that this series has been discontinued, electric motors do not cease to be popular. The equipment of the old series has a rather long service life.

Over time, such equipment was successively replaced by a series of engines 4A, 4AM and then - AIR. It should be noted that AO electric motors have significant differences in dimensions, in comparison with motors of the 4A, 4AM, AIR series. So far, reliable operation of AO2 series engines has been carried out. Therefore, many are interested in information regarding the description, specifications and dimensions of this equipment. Asynchronous motors for general purpose types A2 and AO2 are designed for continuous operation from a three-phase alternating current network.
The ratings (power, current, voltage, speed, efficiency) refer to the ratings climatic factors environment and minimum ambient temperatures: -40°C during operation and -45°C during storage.

Electric motors of all dimensions are manufactured with six output ends. Winding connection scheme - "triangle", "star" and triangle / star at the request of the customer.
The engines have similar designs to the currently produced AIR series in terms of the degree of protection against environmental influences:

  • closed version (IP44) (IP54) made of cast iron (АО2) - size 3 to 9;
  • closed version (IP44) (IP54) made of aluminum alloys(AOL2) - from 1 to 3 dimensions.

The structure of the designation of the electric motor consists of marking the version according to the degree of protection (AO2, AOL2), designating the type of the electric motor (the first digit indicates the serial number overall size, the second - marking the length of the core), the number of poles, the climatic version and the placement category.
Symbol example:
AO2-62-4U3 - an electric motor of a closed ventilated version with a frame and shields made of cast iron, size 6, 2nd core length, four-pole (1500 rpm), climatic version U, placement category 3.
