When there are cute cozy little things in the house, it helps to create an atmosphere of warmth. Making something interesting and useful at the same time is not so difficult. Today, almost everyone has a mobile phone. When we return home, we most often put it on the table. It happens that we do not notice and throw paper or other things on top, and sometimes we completely lose it on the desktop. A do-it-yourself phone stand solves two problems at once: you can always make room for your phone and design it yourself.

How to make a phone stand?

Surely you have at least one cardboard box at home. From such junk material you can create something unique. We suggest making a phone stand out of paper and an old box.

  1. For work, you need to prepare stationery glue, a pencil with a ruler, a knife.
  2. Before you make a phone stand, you need to prepare the cardboard. We cut rectangles measuring 10x20cm. We need 9 of these blanks.
  3. Now you need to glue them three by one.
  4. On two we draw such a detail. This will be the sidewall of the do-it-yourself phone stand.
  5. Cut out. In order for everything to be beautiful and the structure not to lose its stability, you need to lay the sidewalls one on top of the other and check how much they are the same.
  6. We take a clerical knife and cut a hole in the form of a rectangle.
  7. Next, you need to make the base for the stand for the phone with your own hands. We measure the width of the phone and cut out the stand from the third blank according to the size. The phone's width is the length of our rectangle. The width of the rectangle should be such that it can fit into the grooves on the sidewalls.
  8. We assemble the structure. You will also need a small circle of cardboard, its diameter is slightly smaller than the distance between the sidewalls. (photo 8)
  9. All blanks must be pasted over with paper. It can be newspaper clipping or scrapbooking paper.
  10. To make the back, take two pencils or something similar. We make holes in the sidewalls and insert them there. On the axis we put our circle of cardboard.
  11. Do-it-yourself mobile stand is ready!

Another do-it-yourself phone stand option

You can make a simpler version of such a cardboard stand.

A mobile phone is a thing that should always be at hand. In the age of information technology, this is hard to argue with. Sitting behind the wheel, cooking in the kitchen, doing needlework or doing other things when your hands are not free, a homemade and original phone stand will become a necessary accessory.

It is simply impossible to imagine a modern person without a smartphone or telephone.

By material

In order to know how to make a comfortable phone stand, let's find out what material is used to make it.

Often, the owner, who wants to have a phone always at hand, wants to arrange it in a convenient way.

  • Metal. The metal accessory will be durable and will last a long time. The cost of such a thing will be higher in comparison with the rest, made from more budgetary material.
  • Tree. Popular and affordable material. Bamboo, ash is a common type of wood that is used to make holders.
  • Ceramics. These holders look elegant, but, unfortunately, are very fragile. Masters working with this material make coasters in the form of animals, shoes, hearts, geometric shapes.
  • Textile. A more childish option, when the phone is located on a small, specially sewn pillow or soft toy. This type of phone stand can be made by hand.
  • Plastic. A versatile material that allows you to choose the color and shape.
  • Paper. With your own hands from paper, you can very simply build a stand for the phone. This is a practical, lightweight option when no other alternative is available.

Modern smartphones have learned to do many different things, successfully replacing our clock, voice recorder, navigator, player and even a mobile cinema.

By style

Note! When choosing a stand style, take into account not only your individual preferences, but also the design features of the room in which it will stand.

Before ordering or creating a DIY phone stand, decide on a style.

  • Vintage. A variant made in the form of an old thing made of wood, metal, leather or ceramics, with a design for fixing the gadget.
  • Minimalism. Plastic and paper are the main materials of this style. An excellent choice for those who are not interested in extra details.
  • Classic. Option for conservatives. Mostly the manufacture of holders in this style of wood, metal.
  • High tech. Modern style, without additional decorative elements. The material used is plastic.

A stand is a useful and convenient thing in everyday life.

By appointment

On the table.

The main thing is the strength of the structure.

  1. Adhesive based. Products in the form of a circle, one side is glued to the phone, imitating a support, which makes it possible to put the phone at an angle of 45 degrees.
  2. On a stand. Fixes a device of any size. It consists of a bottom plate, which is installed on the table and a clamp, in which the gadget is placed.

Universal.

If you are a creative person, then you will find the makings of a phone stand in any item.

  1. There is an option when the bottom side of the holder has a mount that can be attached to a table or any other surface. The base of such a device is usually flexible and rotates 360 degrees.
  2. The second popular option: in the form of a flexible tripod that can take absolutely any shape. This type can be used: on a walk, in bed, while washing dishes, in a car - absolutely in any convenient place.

A desktop phone stand for the home should not only be comfortable, but also durable, stylish and fit well into the interior of the home.

In auto.

It is very convenient to purchase a magnetic holder for the car.

Installation principle: one side is attached to the device with a magnet, and the other to any accessible place in the car.

Phone stand made of unusual and improvised materials

Stationery binders

The device is strong enough and able to hold the phone.

If suddenly in the office it was necessary to fix the phone in a vertical position: here's how to quickly make a phone stand from improvised materials with your own hands. The binder consists of two parts, a colored clip made of plastic or metal and a steel-colored paper clip. We take two binders and fasten them together. We put forward one paper clip in the direction of the phone.

Using pencils

Try making a phone stand out of pencils.

Materials needed: 6 pencils and 4 rubber bands. We assemble a three-dimensional triangle: a tetrahedron. We fasten the ends of two pencils together and put the third one between them.

Important! To build a design, you need to take pencils with rubber bands at the ends to avoid unnecessary slipping.

bottle models

To make a model from bottles, prepare the material: any bottle from a cleaning agent, dishwashing liquid or shampoo, scissors.

Bottom line: the work should resemble a pocket.

Important! The size of the bottle should be at least twice the length of the phone.

Cut off the neck of the bottle and the front wall to the middle. This stand will be relevant for use while recharging. To do this, make a hole for the charger in the upper back of the container. Fold the phone inward, and insert the charge first into the hole, then into the socket.

Such a model can be painted, decorated with paper or cloth.

paper clips

The variant with a paper clip will require minimal costs and time.

The paper clip must be straightened into a straight line. We bend both edges of the paper clip upwards, retreating 1 cm. Then we retreat 4 cm from both sides, this part of the structure should fit snugly against the table, like a support. The next step is to bend the paperclip in the middle up so that the previous bent parts remain even, perpendicular to the table.

From a credit card

Set the resulting zigzag on the table, the work is ready.

Place an old, unnecessary credit card in front of you in an upright position. Step back from the edge 1 cm and bend the edge towards you. Divide the rest in half, bend, but in the opposite direction.

From Lego constructor

Take a wide plate - the basis of the children's designer.

It is necessary to fix several bricks from the designer on the plate, in order to support the back panel of the phone, the angle at which it will be fixed will depend on the height of the wall. To fix the device on the sides, take a few more identical bricks and fix them on the base.

From a cassette case

We insert a mobile device into the pocket where the cassette was once stored.

If you have an old cassette cassette left at home, it is very easy to create a holding structure: open it as far back as possible so that the part with the cassette pocket remains in front, and the cassette cassette top cover is placed on the table.

Hello to all! Today we will make for a mobile phone in the form of a dog - a symbol of the year.

Now you need to make a stand for it. To do this, we cut out a circle with a diameter of 70 mm from wood. Sand it down with sandpaper.

We take a few gears that are so small.

We also take epoxy and hardener.

We take plasticine and apply a thin layer on one of the sides of the internal cavity of the figurine and glue it with polyethylene on the same side.

We knead the epoxy glue according to the instructions and pour about 2 mm into the cavity of the figure. This will be the first layer. We are waiting for the solidification of this layer. Then lay out our pattern of gears and fill in the rest.

Our dog is dry.

We remove plasticine. We take sandpaper and bring everything into a divine form.

We mark with a pencil on the figure the point where the hole will be.

Drill make a small indentation.

Now we make a wooden chop that will fix it all. We insert the chopstick into the stand, spread it with PVA glue and also the lower part of the figure with a thin layer so that the glue does not protrude. We connect. Leave until completely dry. Next, we rub our entire product with herbalist impregnation.

Here's what we got.

You can make a small phone stand with your own hands from the simplest materials. Our small master class will help you in your work. Handmade items bring warmth and comfort to your home.

Such a funny cat phone stand is easy to make in one evening. To do this, we need fabric from old jeans to finish the cup, denim or any other fabric for the head, paws and tail.

For work you will need:

  1. Denim fabric (stripes of different colors).
  2. A piece of bright fabric for a scarf.
  3. A little synthetic winterizer or cotton wool for paws, tail and head.
  4. A glass of cotton swabs.
  5. Bottom cardboard.
  6. 4 buttons.
  7. Pencil, scissors, needle.

Let's get to work:

Take a sheet of paper and freehand draw a pattern. It's pretty simple, even if you can't draw. The head can be done like this: circle the bottom of your cup from under the cotton buds and step back a little from the edge. Get the head of a cat. Cut out the paper pattern. On it we will cut:

  • Head (with ears) - 2 parts,
  • paw-hand - 4 parts,
  • paw-leg - 4 parts,
  • tail - 2 parts.

We select materials:

Here is a box you need to take for work, it just fits perfectly in size:

Next, we will make bottoms for our stand. This chopstick cup has a bottom diameter of 8 cm. Yours may be different. For the outer bottom, we cut out a larger circle of cardboard, and for the inner bottom, 0.5 cm less than the bottom of the glass from under the sticks. Cut out a circle with a diameter of 7.5 cm from denim. Sweep along the edge with a thread, insert cardboard and tighten the thread. The second circle is 1.5 cm larger, cut out of denim.

For the inside of the stand, we take a suitable fabric measuring 12 cm (glass height + allowances on each side of 2 cm) * 27 cm (circumference + allowances of 1 cm). We sew the fabric along the short side. We cut the allowances in the lower part of the resulting lining in several places. We put the inner lining into the cup, distribute the notched allowances so that there are no large folds. You can drop a little glue so that the lining does not “walk”.

We turn the top allowance on the outside of the stand. We also fix it by dripping glue in a circle. If there is no glue available, use tape. Then we must draw the belly of the cat. For the top and bottom, trimmings from the legs are well suited. Lay out the strips and fasten them with pins.

Sew all the pieces along the short side. We put on our stand everything that we sewed. On top of the cup we sew the lining and the top of the product with a hidden seam. Then we sew a large bottom. Make sure it doesn't protrude beyond the diameter of the glass. If the bottom is large, cut off the excess cardboard.

We put the cat pattern on the fabric from which you decided to sew it. Cut out a pattern from paper and fasten with pins to the fabric. Cut out, adding a 0.5 cm seam allowance.

Embroider the cat's face the way you like. You can sew beads or buttons instead of eyes.

We sew the paws, tail and head, leaving small gaps in the seams for stuffing with padding polyester. We turn out the details of the head, paws, and tail. We stuff the blanks with synthetic winterizer or cotton wool.

Sew paws, head and tail to the stand. The paws are sewn on at the top and fastened with buttons.

Sew pieces of denim on the tail.

We tie a bright bow around our cat's neck, you can put a sewn mouse or fish in the paws. If you want to give a product, then a souvenir, for example, a smoking pipe.

How to make a cute and original phone stand out of paper, our small master class will tell. The stand can be made from the base: a cardboard ring left from the adhesive tape, an empty round box of chips, salt, coffee, or a cup of cotton buds.

Mobile communication devices are in every home, they have become almost indispensable for a modern person and perform a lot of functions. Therefore, quite often they need to be kept not in your pocket, but on your desktop, so a smartphone stand is a necessary thing for everyone. There are many ways to make a phone stand, but one of the best options is of course wood, as it, despite its hardness, will not scratch the smartphone and will look good both in the office and at home on the table.

The easiest way to make a wooden phone stand with your own hands is to simply make it from a regular plank. The design of such a product is as simple as possible - a groove of the required width is made in the board and the stand is ready. Since the board has a large plane, and after you put the mobile into the slot, it will stand firmly and securely on the table.

The most important thing about this wooden phone stand is the area of the base that will be in contact with the table, it must be large enough to handle the functional load. As a base, such a homemade phone stand can have any wood and can be shaped into any shape. And the manufacturing process itself is limited to the fact that a groove is simply made in the plank with the help of a milling cutter. The groove can be made flat or sloped, depending on the angle at which the device should stand.

When you make a stand for a smartphone with your own hands, it is important to sand it well, especially in the groove area where the mobile will stand. After all, if there are irregularities, then you can scratch the glass, and this will spoil the appearance of your gadget.

Complex design

If you want your mobile device to be always in sight, not lost in documents, and at the same time your table looks beautiful, solid, then the stand should be appropriate. To do this, you can make it not just from a plank, but from several parts. Don't worry, it doesn't require a lot of tools or material either. The most important thing is not to rush and carefully consider the design that your homemade product will have.

A good do-it-yourself smartphone stand, which is suitable not only for any phone, but also for a tablet, and at the same time will be as stable as possible, can be made from two small planks.

The design of such a stand is as simple as possible, two identical rectangular wooden blanks are taken. On the one hand, about a quarter from the edge, a slot is made to the middle of the board. It is important that the slot does not run at a right angle, but obliquely, so that the stand is more stable and has the correct slope of the plane that will support the phone. On both blanks, a slot is made up to half the width of the blank.

For someone who is just starting out, it can be problematic to find the right angle for the slot. But this is not difficult to do, just attach two parts to one another at the planned angle and just make marks on the side of the end. Well, in addition, so that the phone does not slip, you need to make a groove on a horizontal plank, or stick a small bar that will be a stopper.

After all the cuts are ready, it is enough just to sand the stand well so that the bumps do not scratch the phone case, and cover it with tinting or just varnish.

There are many ways to make a stand for a phone of this design, for example, you can make a curly vertical part of the stand, which will greatly improve its appearance. Forms can be a variety of hand, leaf, animals, and in general everything that you think of, since a tree can be given almost any shape.

How to choose a stand design

There are quite a few ways to make a smartphone stand, but wood options are not only durable, but also beautiful. In addition, they look much nobler than other materials, as a properly selected wooden accessory will decorate any design, regardless of its style.

Therefore, in order for your handmade mobile phone stand to be beautiful and original, try to choose the right design, size and color. Of course, you should not forget about such parameters as functionality and stability, since if a cell phone falls, it can simply be damaged.

You can make a variety of phone accessories at home and you don’t need a special tool for this. In most cases, with due diligence and patience, you can get by with a simple hacksaw, chisel, sandpaper and a piece of plywood. Then just glue your sample from small parts and at home it will also be easy.

Do not be afraid to experiment and fantasize so that the stand you made is unique, and not like everyone else. After all, mass production is arranged in such a way that anyone can afford to buy beautiful and seemingly diverse things. But truly bright individuals prefer unique things in a single copy. Such things are not sold in stores, they can only be ordered or made independently. The second option is much better, not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of individuality.

Even if you have no experience in making any wood crafts, do not be upset, as there is nothing difficult in this. It is enough to carefully plan everything, calculate what tools and materials will be needed, and only after that proceed to the work itself. If something doesn’t work out for you, then you can try again, rarely does anyone manage to do everything right the first time, everyone learns and everyone makes mistakes. But this is the only way to gain experience and learn to do things right.
