Chop the onions and mushrooms into slices and send them to the turkey. Fry on maximum heat for another 5 minutes.

Place the fried turkey with mushrooms and onions in the pan. Level with a spoon.

We wash the buckwheat and drain the water. Pour the prepared meat and mushrooms into the cereal and level it with a spoon.

When cooking turkey with mushrooms, you need to carefully use aromatic spices. This is exactly the option where they can be unnecessary and drown out the natural mushroom taste of the dish.

If you doubt the quality of the mushrooms, then you must boil them for half an hour. People used to add an onion to the pan to detect toxicity. It was believed that if it turned blue, the product was unusable.

No fresh mushrooms? You can add pickled ones to many dishes; they will give them a new taste. Honey mushrooms, chanterelles or champignons go well with turkey. You can also use dried mushrooms, after soaking them in cold water or milk.

If the turkey was previously frozen or there is a suspicion that the meat is tough, then it is better to marinate it first. To do this, you can use soy sauce, mayonnaise, any brine, or simply rub the pieces with mustard.

The acid contained in tomatoes, lemon, vinegar and other products can make the meat dry and tough, so do not add more of these ingredients than indicated in the recipe.

Pre-frying of meat must be done at high temperatures, so it does not lose its juiciness.

Turkey with mushrooms are tender pieces of turkey fillet stewed with champignons, tomatoes and bell peppers. The addition of a seasoning such as suneli hops gives the dish a special piquancy, which helps to reveal the taste of each ingredient. The turkey turns out juicy, soft and very tasty.

Compound:

  • Turkey fillet – 0.9-1 kg
  • Champignons (fresh or frozen) – 400 g
  • Tomatoes – 2 pcs (can be replaced with tomatoes in their own juice)
  • Bell pepper – 1 piece
  • Khmeli-suneli – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste (about 1 teaspoon)

Preparation:

Wash the turkey fillet and remove excess fat. Cut the turkey into medium cubes.

Prepare vegetables for turkey. Wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds. Cut the pepper into small cubes.

Peel the tomatoes and also cut into cubes. To easily peel tomatoes, first make a cross-shaped cut on each tomato and pour boiling water over the tomatoes for 5 minutes. As I wrote earlier, I prefer not to buy tomatoes in winter, as they are completely tasteless. I prefer tomatoes in their own juice and always keep one or two jars in the cupboard in reserve. These are the tomatoes I used to prepare the dish, cutting them into cubes.

If you use fresh champignons, wash, peel and cut them into thin slices. If you are using frozen mushrooms, you can use them without thawing them.

Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan, turn up the heat to high and fry the turkey pieces until they turn white.

Once the turkey has turned white and all the juices have been sealed inside, reduce the heat to low and add the mushrooms to the pan. If you use frozen mushrooms, then place them in a frying pan without defrosting; they will quickly thaw in a hot frying pan. The mushrooms will release juice; you need to simmer the turkey in this juice for 10 minutes under a closed lid. If there is not enough juice, add half a glass of boiled water.

After 10 minutes, add prepared tomatoes and bell peppers to the turkey with mushrooms. Mix everything and leave to simmer until the turkey and vegetables are soft for 15-20 minutes. 5 minutes before readiness, add suneli hops and salt to the pan.
