A variety of gadgets give us the opportunity to find out the time and date of the calendar at any time. Wall and flip calendars still have not lost their practical significance as an attribute of the workplace. Today we will try to make something special - an original homemade calendar that will decorate your home and office.

We will need:

Several sheets of patterned colored paper in red and blue;
- white cardboard - 4 sheets;
- thick cardboard for plates 3-5 mm thick - 2 sheets;
- lined paper for notes in white or yellow;
- white textile Velcro - 12 pieces of small ones, or a couple of large ones;
- stickers with numbers and letters;
- buttons, threads and stickers for decoration;
- PVA glue.

2. A rectangle is also needed - a platform. It should fit two previously made cubes. We also mark the rectangle, cut it out and glue it.

Comment: it is preferable to glue the rectangle at the end, after decorating it, since you will need to sew a Velcro fastener to one of its sides.

3. From patterned colored paper, cut out squares equal to the side of the cube. The squares need to be glued onto the cubes in the order you like.

4. In the same way, use colored design paper to decorate the sides of the rectangular platform. The basis for the calendar is ready.

Comment: for decoration, you should choose paper of soothing shades, against which the numbers and letters will not be “lost”.

5. Cut the note paper in half and stick it on the cube as shown. This paper will serve as a background for the numbers.

6. Each side of the cube can be decorated with stickers and stickers, which should be as flat as possible so as not to compromise the integrity of the structure.

7. Each box must be pasted over with digital stickers, as shown in the photo. Six-sided cubes must be supplied with numbers in the following order: the first cube is 0,1,2,3,4,7; the second die is 0,1,2,5,8,9. In this case, the number 9 can be used as 6.

8. The front side of the platform for the cubes can be decorated as you wish - with buttons, geometric shapes made of patterned paper.

9. On the front side of the platform, exactly in the middle, you need to attach Velcro with threads or super glue for reliability.

Comment: to minimize waste, it is better to purchase a large Velcro fastener and cut off the necessary pieces from it in the process.

10. Cut out 12 rectangles from thick cardboard, the width of which should match the height of the platform.

11. All 12 rectangles must be provided with the appropriate letter stickers indicating the 12 months of the year. Signs can be decorated as desired.

12. Velcro must be attached to each of the rectangles on the reverse side. This can be done with thick threads and decorative stitches.

The calendar is ready. To change the date of the month, turn the cubes over to different sides. To change the months of the year, you need to change the plates with the names of the months, attaching them with Velcro to the base of the calendar. If you wish, you can create a calendar in any style that matches your interior.

Hello to all DIY lovers! At school, my eldest daughter was given homework to make a paper and cardboard craft, but not the usual one, but so that this craft would be of some use in the house.

When my daughter went to kindergarten, they also made homemade products quite often, who didn’t see a couple of works (,).
Well, for some reason, I immediately came up with the idea to make a "perpetual calendar". It will take quite a bit of time to make such a calendar, and besides, my daughter took an active part, and this, after all, is development. Such calendars are often made by prisoners (I will attach a photo below), in fact, according to the principle of this photo, this calendar was made, but only in a more colorful version.
I’ll run ahead and say that for this homemade product my daughter got an A and among all the homemade products she was noted as the simplest and most useful in everyday life. So thanks to the prisoners for the idea)))

Actually here is the photo:

The simplest homemade perpetual calendar.

To make a perpetual calendar you will need:
  • 3 box of matches
  • cardboard
  • glue
  • colored paper
  • pattern with numbers
  • scotch
  • scissors
  • flat soft magnet

Materials and tools for making a perpetual calendar with your own hands

Making a calendar

After you have prepared all the necessary tools, you need to make holes (windows) on the matchboxes through which the number will be visible. Holes can be made both round and square, for every taste (I just circled the round covers). The easiest way to cut is with a blade, which I actually used, the main thing is to be careful not to let the children cut.

Next, cut out rectangles from colored paper, glue the front side of the box and cut holes in the same way. At the request of my daughter, I just glued it in red, but you can show your imagination and make, for example, like the flag of Russia or something else, how much fantasy is enough.

To be honest, the scope for creativity is quite large.

You also need to glue the boxes themselves together. Regular glue stick is fine and everything is held very tightly.

After the base is ready, we move on to the dial. You can make it yourself, the easiest way is on a computer (whoever needs it, you can download such a ready-made template from the link in the description of the video), or print it yourself. You can also write, the Soviet stencil is well suited (if there is, of course), whoever remembers will understand which one.

I glued the template first on cardboard to stiffen it, and then glued it on top with wide adhesive tape so that it would wear out less.

Now it remains only to cut and cut into strips. I got three stripes (this is the number and day of the week). If desired, you can add more boxes and write, for example, a month.

Then I took an ordinary flexible magnet from an old souvenir, cut it into two parts and glued it to the back of the calendar. Due to this, it can be hung on a metal board at school, or at home on the refrigerator.
This magnet is enough to hold the weight of the calendar.

We never have to think that such a thing as a calendar can be made by hand. After all, we can buy it in any store or use it from our tablet. But if you try at least once to use a calendar made by hands with love, then every time you take it out, you will feel the warmth of human hands.

From improvised materials, you can create a whole work of art that can never be compared with a purchased item. Think about what kind of calendar you would like to have and make it inspired by one of the ideas. Before you start making a calendar, you should think about what form it will be in: wall, flip, etc. Consider how to make a calendar with your own hands.

Desk calendar

This handmade paper calendar will brighten up your office routine and will therefore be a great gift for your colleague or you. Learn how to make a DIY paper calendar.

You will need to get a few pages of thick paper. Each page is devoted to one month. The pages will need to be cut with scissors and formed into a rectangle.

Next, apply a calendar grid to each page, this can be done according to a template or manually. You can find a template on the Internet and print it out, or arm yourself with pencils, felt-tip pens and do everything by hand. You can decorate the pages as you wish, you will need a color palette, glitter, colored pencils, markers, stickers and other things for this.

Arrange each month in order, fold the sheets together and poke a hole in the middle of the sheet with a hole punch. Insert the ring in there. You can make your calendar in any shape - round, oval, square, heart-shaped. Your imagination is not limited by anything.

So that you can always see the calendar in front of you, attach it to the base. To make the base, you will need several sheets, preferably cardboard. Cut out three rectangles from paper, two of them should be the same in length and width. And one needs to be made half as wide in width - this will be the bottom of the base. Next, you'll need to glue all of these pieces together to form the base that you'll attach your desk calendar to.

Postcard calendar

This idea is fascinating, it will bring a lot of pleasure to your household. Throughout the year, you can record events that happened to you and your family on the calendar. In 10 years, such a calendar will become a family heirloom that will be interesting to read.

To make such a calendar, prepare the following items: postcards for each month, a box, scissors, notebook sheets with a wide ruler, twine, a stamp.

Take a notebook in a wide ruler and cut out small rectangles from notebook sheets. Stamp the date on each rectangle. But if it is not there, then you can do it manually.

Put all the leaves and postcards with the months in a box. Leaflets should be arranged by date, each month is highlighted by a postcard.

Calendar with photos

Choose your photos, prepare leaflets, colored cardboard, fasteners - glue, adhesive tape, colored paper, ribbon (satin ribbon is most suitable). Instead of photos, you can take any pictures, such as images from movies, landscapes, etc.

Progress:

  • Photos should be the same size, you should take care of this at the very beginning.
  • Prepare paper sheets of a suitable size on which you can stick your photos. Do this with glue or tape.
  • Connect all the leaves together, according to the days and months. At the top, make a hole through which you need to thread the tape.

If you own Photoshop, then you can print the leaves yourself with a beautiful background and a calendar grid. Print your work on the printer. Although it is sometimes impossible on a printer, you need to print the sheets in the format you need. In this case, you can resort to the services of photo studios or printing houses. After that, you can stick your photos and you will have a calendar that is dear to your heart.

Wall calendar - glider

If you want to make a calendar that will remind you of important things or events, then try making this option. Take a large sheet - drawing paper, draw 12 sectors or 31 squares there.

In each of these sectors you can enter the information you need. Designate sectors by months or squares by days. Now you can add any information related to your life there - plans for the coming months, birthdays of your loved ones, vacation days, etc.

You can make a versatile canvas wall calendar that will help you for years, not just one. To do this, you need to find a canvas of the right size for you. Draw borders on it, you should get 7 columns and 5 rows. This must be done with ribbons. Where the lines intersect, attach pretty pins. On the reverse side of the ribbon can be fixed with wire cutters.

You will need colored paper or cardboard, from which you need to make squares with numbers corresponding to the days of the week. Attach them with double tape to each cell. The names of the month can also be prepared from colored paper and pasted on. Now you can write about any events and reminders on stickers and stick them on the date you need.

perpetual calendar

You can make a perpetual calendar out of any solid material, such as plywood or cardboard, or preferably wood. It will serve you faithfully for many years. In the base-box of such a calendar there is a pair of cubes, where the days of the week and a block with months are marked. A minimum set of numbers from 0 to 5 is applied to one die.

On the second die, the numbers from 0 to 9 are applied, the number 9 is not applied, since the number 6 may well play its role. The names of the months are applied on the faces of three long bars.

If you want to make such a calendar out of wood, then you need to prepare tools such as a saw, cutter, jigsaw to work with them on wood. We cut out cubes and sticks. With sandpaper, you need to sand your wooden blanks.

The inscriptions on the cubes of the bars are applied in various ways. If you are confident in your drawing skills, you can do it by hand with a brush and paint.

If not, then make a template that you can outline. You can also apply numbers using a burning machine, wood cutters, or simply stick buttons with numbers. You can oil your wood blanks to give them a more attractive appearance.

The case for the calendar is made from pieces of plywood. The back wall should correspond to the entire length of the construction of cubes and bars. The size of the side wall should correspond to the width of the cube and the width of the back wall, the height of the cube and the thickness of the bar. All cubes and bars should be placed at the bottom.

The design can be fixed with joiner's nails or glue. The case can be decorated to make it look more attractive by painting it with paint or sticking various images.

Such a calendar will not gather dust somewhere in the back of the closet, it will faithfully serve a person, as well as decorate the room.

You can highlight important dates somehow in a special way by sticking some small accessory or picture on them. For example, on the date of the New Year you can stick a snowflake or a Christmas tree, on a birthday - a flower. If it's your sister's birthday, put a small photo of her on that date. Fold the sheets, make a hole, translate with twine or ribbon and hang on the wall.

If you like to draw and do it well, then just paint a piece of drawing paper, having first drawn it and made the necessary notes. You can hang a wall calendar on a carnation or hook, which must first be placed on the wall.

Let's start making a calendar. For this we need the following materials:

1) Matchbox;
2) Thick cardboard;
3) PVA glue;
4) Beautiful scrap paper;
5) Glue gun with transparent glue;
6) Paper with numbers and names of months and days of the week.

To begin with, we take a match and cut both parts of it into one centimeter, so that with further gluing we get a bar. We need three of these parts so that each of them can accommodate four months.

Next, we make cubes for numbers from cardboard. From the cardboard I cut out six identical squares measuring three by three centimeters; we glue the cubes out of them using a glue gun. We need two of these cubes.

Our details are ready.

When all the details are ready, we start decorating. You can paste over everything with beautiful scrap paper or use self-adhesive wallpaper. We decorate the stand with cubes and sticks.

But one rule must be followed. We only have two cubes and thirty days in a month. You should know one trick to fit all the numbers on two dice.

On the first cube we place the following numbers: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 8.

On the second die we have the following numbers: 0, 1, 2, 5, 6 (and 9 are the same), 7.

We glue the numbers on the cubes and our calendar is ready.

In today's Master Class, you learned how to make a Perpetual Calendar out of paper and cardboard. We hope the article was useful to you.

The calendar is often on the desktop, because it takes up little space, is not conspicuous and is at hand. Despite the external simplicity, with the help of it you can make the workplace more comfortable. The best solution that combines beauty and practicality is a perpetual calendar. It is not difficult to make it with your own hands, but it will take patience and a little time.

Benefits of a Reusable Calendar

Compared to traditional paper calendars, the perpetual calendar has a number of advantages:

  1. Shows the exact date and day of the week in any year, can be used until you get bored.
  2. Looks more attractive.
  3. Made from stronger materials, durable.

Family option

It is very convenient when you can leave memos to family members for a specific date. You can get rid of notes scattered around the house with instructions using a homemade calendar. In this variant, a properly made workpiece is important. The perpetual calendar is made as follows:

  1. A template is made on the computer with written dates and days of the week. The numbering should go from left to right. The first line is 1-7, the second is 8-14, and so on until the 31st.
  2. Printed on A3 sheets, laminated.
  3. Cut vertically. You should get columns with dates 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, etc. The days of the week are also cut out.
  4. On the reverse side of the strips, magnets are glued to the double-sided tape. It is optimal to use flexible.
  5. Bands with numbers and days of the week are attached to the refrigerator with magnets in accordance with the current date.

It is convenient to attach notes to such a calendar with magnets. You can write tasks directly on it using a washable marker.

Compactness and beauty

A desk calendar can be made from a variety of materials, depending on personal preference. The easiest option is to buy wooden blanks and arrange them at your discretion or fashion them from salt dough. This option consists of several elements:

  1. Stand. It can be with a "pocket" for pens and pencils.
  2. Two dice. Numbers are depicted on their planes. One and two must be in duplicate.
  3. Three blocks on which the names of the months are applied.

The most popular is the design of a wooden surface using the decoupage technique - transferring the finished pattern.

Do-it-yourself perpetual calendar

You can make a wooden version yourself, without buying blanks. For this you need:

  1. Small board.
  2. Bars of different sizes (for cubes and dice with months).
  3. Jigsaw.
  4. Dye.
  5. Glue.
  6. Tracing paper.
  7. Napkin with a pattern.

A stand, a vertical wall, sides for cubes and a “pocket” are cut out of the board. Details are glued together, creating a common basis. After the glue dries, they can be painted.

The napkin is divided into layers and a pattern is cut out of it. It is superimposed on a wooden surface, after which it is varnished.

Numbers and names of months are printed on tracing paper, it is desirable that the tone matches the main pattern. Carefully cut out and glued onto cubes and sticks.

Wooden perpetual calendar, made and decorated with your own hands, will look beautiful in any setting. It can be made in any size and shape, unlike the store counterpart. The homemade version takes more time to make, but this is an absolutely unique product.

Instead of printing on tracing paper, you can make a drawing directly on the tree. Acrylic paints work well for this. Burning is a no less original way of decorating.

Do-it-yourself perpetual calendar can be made from papier-mâché or salt dough. When working with dough, you should pay attention to the drying stage so that the product does not crack. It can be decorated with a bas-relief, painted and varnished. Qualitatively made is not inferior in beauty to a wooden product.

The desktop calendar not only brings benefits and decorates the interior, it can be a stylish and practical gift. Using different images for the base makes it possible to make a thing interesting for everyone, you just need to choose the right picture. brings joy and is of special value. Giving people a good mood is as easy as making a perpetual calendar with your own hands.
