A mole repeller from a plastic bottle is a necessary thing for the owner of a private house. The thing is that the appearance of this animal on the plot does not bode well for its owner. In the garden, for example, the stay of a mole is dangerous because earthworms loosening the soil massively disappear. In addition, such a pest, digging a new underground path, pushes up layers of marginal land. Therefore, it is simply necessary to scare away moles or get rid of them, because the well-being of your personal plot is at stake, for which a lot of money and effort are already spent.

There are many ways to fight, but devices for scaring away moles, made by you with your own hands, deserve special attention.

This is the best option in financial terms, and its effectiveness has been tested in practice.

Therefore, it is necessary to figure out how to make a repeller from improvised means.

Noise device is the best way to scare away moles.

How to make a windmill from a plastic bottle? Its production includes several subsequent stages:

  • the key element of the spinner is the axis of rotation. This may be a welding electrode that is no longer used for its intended purpose;
  • it is very important to remove the coating from the electrode. To do this, it is enough to hit it several times with a hammer and then scrape off the cracked layer;
  • we start making holes in the bottle (the electrode must pass through the bottom and lid of the plastic container);
  • a copper wire must be fixed around the axis - it will facilitate the rotation of the turntable;
  • then it is worth marking with a marker or felt-tip pen the axes that will divide the bottle into sectors. For example, for the manufacture of a turntable with three blades, it is necessary to ensure the presence of six sectors, and with four - eight parts;
  • then U-shaped cuts are made and each of the sectors is bent so that blades are obtained;
  • the final touch - an axis is inserted in the center of the bottle. Then turntables from plastic bottles are attached to the ground in a personal plot or garden. It is better to place several turntables from moles around the perimeter of your territory at once: this will increase the chances of pests capitulating as soon as possible.

This device operates as follows: in the presence of wind, the bottle rotates, and vibrations are transmitted to the ground. This is a good remedy for getting rid of moles, made from a plastic bottle.

From the video you will learn how to make a repeller yourself.

How to make a spinner out of beer cans

A beer can wind generator is a good alternative to the first method. What is this spinner made of? The following tools will be useful for its manufacture:

  • liter can of beer;
  • scissors for metal or stationery;
  • metal tube (1-1.5 m long);
  • self-tapping screw;
  • drill.

Such turntables are built on the principle of windmills. But there are some peculiarities: you need to bend the blades of the future turntable from the moles in such a way as to give the device an asymmetric shape.

With the help of a self-tapping screw, this repeller is attached to a metal tube, but it does not twist completely (otherwise the rotation process will not be active enough).

How to make a turntable from moles with your own hands, of course. And the principle of its work practically does not differ from the plastic counterpart.
But is it really possible to rely on its effectiveness? You will succeed in achieving the desired results if you build several mole repellers at once with your own hands. With their help, you will force unwanted guests to leave your personal plot forever.

From the video you will learn how to make a windmill.

Everyone loves the singing of birds, it is interesting to watch a snake in a circus and it is curious to look at a mole in a picture. It would seem, what do moles, birds and reptiles have in common? First, about the bad: we don't like them all as uninvited guests. Those who read this do not need to explain why. Now about the good: all this living creatures are afraid of noise!

Here I am: I suppose you didn't wait?

Suppose that they cannot agree among themselves and will not attack all at once. However, there are folk remedies that help get rid of all the listed pests indiscriminately in the garden.

What to counter uninvited guests?

Of course, progress has worked on this issue and offers a choice of ultrasonic repellers or chemicals. However, it’s not a fact that these tricks will work in your case, but “money cried”.

Of course, you can record the scream of an eagle, the songs of cats in the spring and turn on all this “music” for intruders. This is called a "bioacoustic setup". Note that this method is good to use in a nature reserve. In our case, it is completely unknown who will not survive first: moles, neighbors or you.

So it makes sense to try to build a pest repeller from auxiliary materials with your own hands: moles, snakes and birds. If you can’t get rid of uninvited guests, then the money will not be wasted.

Another "potential culprit"

The simplest spit - do-it-yourself noise maker

The simplest thing is to make a turntable, which, rotating from the wind, creates noise. The vibration is transmitted to the ground through the stand and scares away the animals. Birds and reptiles also prefer to stay away from the unknown. At the same time, it should be taken into account that the “colorful ribbons” really have a “quarrelsome” character and may be offended by a rude reception. For several days, in case of fighting snakes, it is better to walk in reliable shoes and trousers. Here is a master class for making a repeller from plastic bottles:

Another option is to make a ratchet to repel pests in a summer cottage from a beer can. As follows from the photo, the design is about the same.

The jar will make sounds of a different frequency, which may be useful in conjunction with already made repellers. It is also useful to simply put a few beer cans on metal pins stuck into the ground. They will add new sounds to the overall "symphony".

Beer can guarding the interests of the garden

We almost forgot about "wind instruments". To control pests on the site, it will be useful to bury several glass bottles in the ground up to half. The wind will surely whistle in their necks, which the pests will definitely hear.

Strategic bomber B-52 against moles

It seems to me that mole noise turntables for pest control in a summer cottage do not look very aesthetically pleasing and can be improved. At the same time, children can be involved in useful joint activities. Based on this, we composed together a three-engine aircraft to repel pests.

B-52 bombing mole positions

It took eight plastic bottles to implement the idea. The master class for making crafts is as follows:

Bomber - repeller of moles, birds and reptiles can be installed in the garden. We wish you a productive and interesting time. Let this specially selected video help you.

Wildlife lovers who do not want to destroy ecosystems also suffer from underground diggers -. But what if you do not want to kill the animal, but there is no time to evict the "guest" for the 101st kilometer? You can try to scare away moles from your site instead. easy to purchase at the store, but many summer residents prefer to make them with their own hands.

Homemade repellers

From what you can make a mole repeller with your own hands:

  • plastic bottles;
  • cans;
  • electric alarm clocks;
  • radio and speakers.

The first three types of repellers do not require any special knowledge or skills. From plastic bottles, the maximum number of different repellers was invented.

Plastic bottle options

The simplest version of a homemade repeller is a bottle worn on a pin. Suitable for empty beer cans. The pin must be stuck into the ground so that sound and vibration are transmitted to the mole passages.

On a note!

Iron transmits sound better than wood.

The most difficult option is a windmill from moles. To make it, you need a one and a half liter bottle of beer.

The bottle must be a "classic" beer form. That is, with a narrow elongated neck.

In addition to the bottle, you need good scissors, a marker, a self-tapping screw with a thread that does not reach the cap, a nail, an awl and a windmill stick. With the maximum complexity of creating such a mole repeller from a plastic bottle, there are no visual diagrams and drawings. There is only a very clear video.

  1. The bottom is cut off from the bottle along the horizontal line that is on all plastic bottles.
  2. The cut bottom is turned upside down. The bottom has the shape of a five-pointed star. Mark the areas to be cut out with a marker: from the border of the central circle strictly in the middle of the “beam” and from the middle of the central circle along the hollow between the “beams”. This part needs to be cut off. It turns out that half of the "beam" is cut out.
  3. The operation is repeated on all "rays". The propeller is ready. It remains only to punch a hole strictly in the center of the circle. The hole should be with perfectly even edges and a diameter larger than the provided self-tapping screw.
  4. Insert a self-tapping screw into the resulting propeller with the head “inside” and screw it in the center of the bottle cap until the thread ends. To facilitate the task of screwing in the hat, you first need to make a small hole. On the inside of the cover, a self-tapping screw can be secured with a nut for reliability.
  5. At the bottom of the neck of the bottle, strictly along the center line, make two holes for the nail. The holes must be strictly opposite each other.
  6. Take an almost finished windmill and fix it on a wooden pole. Stick the pole into the ground in the garden.

In the wind, the propeller makes a rather nasty crack, which moles are afraid of. The advantage of a windmill is that it will work in any direction of the wind. In fact, this is an ordinary weather vane.

The mole has the appearance of a cute harmless animal, but it can cause destructive harm to a planted land. The mole lives underground and, breaking through passages, harms the root system of plants.

Ways to deal with moles are as follows:

  1. Ultrasonic repellers;
  2. They feed on food;
  3. The holes of the mole's exit fall asleep.

Some gardeners use homemade traps. About, how to make a mole repeller most and which of them are more effective, is described in this article.

Types of scare devices

All repellers, even home-made ones, are divided into 4 types:

  1. Mechanical. They are effective in that their parts, when moving, form noise and vibration that scare away the animal;
  2. Biological - capsules, which include aromatic oils. Their smell is not tolerated by pests. This group also includes plants whose smell is not tolerated by moles;
  3. Electronic mole repellers. They are usually vibrating, powered by electricity or batteries;
  4. Ultrasonic. Repel small pests by emitting frequency sound waves. When it hits the ground, such sounds send a signal of danger to the animal's brain.

Although the modern market offers a huge number of mole repellent devices to choose from, home-made devices are also not a small success. If you use home-made repellers in a comprehensive manner in the fight against pests, then the land can be completely cleared of annoying animals.

How to make a mole repeller from a plastic bottle

A plastic bottle is an indispensable universal item used to create various devices in the garden. From it you can make an excellent tool against moles, the so-called windmill.

Method number 1

To make a windmill from a plastic bottle necessary:

  • large scissors;
  • 1.5 l plastic container;
  • permanent marker;
  • awl;
  • stationery knife;
  • self-tapping screw;
  • metal plates with a hole in the middle (washers);
  • strong stem.

The manufacturing process itself consists of the following steps:

  1. Make a mark on the bottom of the plastic bottle with a permanent marker. We draw a strip just above the bottom along the bottom border;
  2. We cut off the curly bottom of the bottle along the drawn strip with a clerical knife;
  3. In order for the spinner to rotate clockwise, the bottom of the bottle should be correctly marked. First, draw a line with a marker, draw it from the center of the bottom of the bottle to the center of any of the convex irregularities. Next, draw a line that goes from the center of the bottom and ends in the concave part. And so we put markings all over the bottom.
  4. With large sharp scissors, cut out unnecessary elements. The result is a device in the form of a propeller. Cut out the first element and then cut through one.
  5. 5 such parts should be removed;
  6. In the resulting day in the center we pierce a hole heated on fire with an awl.
  7. We put a washer on the prepared self-tapping screw and insert it from the inside of the propeller. After we put more washers on it in the amount of three pieces;
  8. We take the remaining element from the bottle. We make a hole in the lid with a heated awl and screw in a self-tapping screw. Thus, the propeller is attached to the plastic bottle. The screw does not need to be screwed all the way in. The plates must rotate freely;
  9. Attach turntable to the support.
  10. Two holes are made on the neck and a small nail is inserted into them, which is then hammered into the handle.

The principle of operation of such a windmill is simple, gusts of wind, falling into the propeller, begin to spin it, and the largest element turntables also rotates around the nail. At the same time, the washers form a noise, which scares away small pests.

Method number 2

This method requires fewer items to be used. You will need a stick, garden shears and a bottle:

  1. We make wide incisions from top to bottom in the walls of a plastic bottle;
  2. From these holes we make two more smaller ones perpendicular to the main one. One above, one below;
  3. We bend the resulting elements to the sides, we should get the blades;
  4. We put the resulting mechanism on a support after making a hole in the bottom of the bottle.

The wind rotates the blades, creating a noise that scares away the moles. Such devices are usually placed near the animal's burrow.

Advice! If you eventually manage to catch a mammal, it is worth remembering that it can bite painfully. To protect yourself from unpleasant surprises, you should wear thick gloves or mittens.

Method number 3

To build a structure to scare away moles, you will need elements from the second method, as well as a plate cut from the wide part of another bottle:

  1. In a plastic bottle, we will make cuts 15 cm long;
  2. From the additional part, it is necessary to cut the propeller blades of approximately the same length;
  3. The blades must be stuck into the holes to make a propeller;
  4. In the lid, you need to make several holes and insert metal rods into them. Then attach the device to the stick.

During rotation, rustling is formed, accompanied by vibration. Hearing his mammal gets scared and feels uncomfortable, so he moves to another habitat.

Method number 4

Sticks should be stuck along the perimeter of the land plot, placing several supports in one place. They must be put on empty plastic bottles or beer cans.

When the wind gusts, plastic or metal will beat against each other, creating noise that prevents the approach of a harmful mammal.

Method number 5

This so-called electronic mole repeller. It is made from a hollow metal pipe. The scheme is this:

  1. The pipe is dug into the ground and an inexpensive electronic beeping part from a battery-powered alarm clock is placed inside;
  2. At the top, the pipe is covered with cloth so that the noise does not spread around the neighborhood, and with a cut-off bottle to protect the structure from rain.

The effectiveness of homemade devices

The mole is a blind animal. This makes his hearing and sense of smell impeccable. When constructing structures from simple elements, either ultrasonic mole repeller, or repellers that create noise and vibration.

Conclusion

It must be clearly remembered that moles live in families consisting of a pair of adults and several growing ones. Some families of moles unite. And the passages that they break through reach several meters in depth.

Moreover, each underground passage has several exits, which complicates the exact location of the family.

All of the above devices have been repeatedly tested by gardeners. And yes, they are inexpensive to make. Therefore, even when buying a modern device for combating harmful animals, do not be too lazy to make a couple of homemade ones.
