So, I am writing a review on this misunderstanding with the name Kata country house already having behind my back

According to the tour sales agent, in Thailand, the differences from 3ki and 4ki are not significant, which is why they agreed to go here, moreover, for some reason, there are a lot of positive ratings on the site.

The hotel (if you can call it that) is located on one of the best beaches on the island, where you can go with a small child. The water on Kata is quite clean, the waves are not very strong + there is coastal vegetation, in contrast to the Karon, on which vegetation is removed, and the waves are strong enough. to knock the child off his feet.

There are 2 entrances to the katu, the right one - through the so-called stinking river (which is actually the drainage of the entire area, and the stench from which extends throughout the street and the surrounding area),
and the left one is a normal entrance through a normal street. there is also an entrance through restaurants, but this is higher up the coast.

In relation to this hotel, the nearest entrance is the sewer. But still it is better to walk the other way.
It would be nice if the ClubMed hotel allowed access to the beach through its territories, but alas, we had to bypass.

We arrived there with a delay of 6 hours, as the Transaero delayed the flight.
At the airport, everything went pretty quickly, scattered on buses and arrived in an hour.
Getting off the bus we got the first surprise - the main landscape around the hotel was a gray high wall with a mix of the best smells of sewer drains.

In the lobby they took shape in 10 minutes, while it became clear that they practically did not understand Russian here, and even in English with a great interference. They handed over a mechanical key (for the first time in all trips), and led into the room. Now it’s surprising that the bags were being carried by a local employee, perhaps. due to the fact that we had a child in our arms.

Entering the room, we immediately saw that the room was practically not cleaned, the only thing that was done was the bed was made and things were put in their places. Flowers were already blackening on the bed.
It immediately struck me that the finish is quite average quality (but this can be attributed to 3 *), the TV is still with a kinescope, the walls are smeared, dust is everywhere on the surfaces. Looking closely at the floors, it became clear that if they are washed here, then it is with dirty water. so even on the shimmery tile, stains from dirty water were visible.

Bathroom - a room combined with a toilet, which has a shower, a toilet and a washstand. all the walls of the bathroom were in cracks and stains from water displaced with something white (similar stains are given by chalk).
There was no towel, soap, shampoo. toilet paper was.
The flush in the toilet barely works, there was a feeling that the water with the contents would now pour out.

After everything I had seen, I decided to check the bed. And I was not mistaken: lifting the blanket on the sheet, I saw several small black spots, and several residual streaks from poorly cleaned liquid stains.

This all outraged, and we went to the lobby to demand at least a change of bed linen.
However, this turned out to be not a lifting requirement. When we arrived, the lobby was already closed, a couple of local attendants were sitting on the street and furiously exploiting the free lobby Internet.

The above-mentioned officer on duty turned on the idiot as best he could, trying not to understand everything that was said to him. I had to call the hotel guide, who was already trying to talk to him himself. He seemed to understand the hotel guide, but he did not take any action, and again began to zealously click on his smartphone. After another call to the hotel guide, he began to stir, but there was no consensus. for that he offered a bungalow for 700 batnoch, which, in principle, arranged with its appearance and decoration. By this time, we had already decided that we would not stay in these slums, and we only needed a day to decide on the hotel.

Having agreed with the person on duty, we went to see the surroundings. by the way, near the bungalow there is some kind of lake with fish, but even in the evening in the dark it was clear that there was no care for it and it turned into a swamp. on the way to the bungalow there is a pool, from which, 5 meters away, it carries so much bleach. that apparently swimming in the pool is life-threatening.

Returning from a walk (having sniffed the local color of the sewage), they approached a friend and said that they needed a key. but
this time he said that you need to pay immediately for the entire stay (this is given that we have already paid the tour operator) and he will not give a bungalow for one day.
naturally we refused, but told him to go and change the linen. At that moment, he again ceased to understand all languages, possibly Thai too, but after 15 minutes of fighting, he said that the whole hotel was sleeping on dirty linen and nothing would be done, if I don’t like it, I’ll call the police.

We slept. putting the towels they brought for the child.
by the way, in the bungalow, there was someone's hair on the bed.

Despite the fact that they have written in the charter. that they kill mosquitoes once a week, played tennis with them all night, but it did not help, the mosquitoes bit us and the child, who developed healthy red spots. the sound was heard all night
pouring water into the tank. in an incomprehensible device from a heap of pipes, water poured from the roof of the second floor to the first ...

In the morning they woke up from the sounds of construction noise, they were repairing something on the street, spitting that people were still sleeping.
There was no light, as a result there was no warm water. all day. everything appeared only when it got dark.

The next day we decided to move to another hotel and went to the beach.
When we returned, towels appeared, the bed was changed, but all the dirt remained as it was.
All this happened as a result of the hotel's guide talking personally to the managers.

We ate twice in the restaurant. therefore, it is not normal to evaluate the possibility.
However, when trying to order ice cream for a child, 3 of the ordered ones were not found.

Generally.
The territory of the hotel itself is not bad, and with competent management it could be made quite good
institution. But given that the entire territory is not cleaned at all, the management does not care about the quality and, accordingly, the guests. It is not worth its price, and can only be suitable for those who are ready for some relaxation in money,
to be in an uncomfortable place.
In the reviews I read that the unobtrusiveness of employees is a plus. However, I saw not unobtrusiveness, but disregard, which cannot be a plus. The demand for something that is due to you can cause hamsvo.

We chose to change the hotel, while the class of the hotel is the same, but the quality of service is much higher. Only this time on Karon.

General recommendations:

I'll tell you what to take with the peasant: 3-4 T-shirts, 3-4 shorts (including swimming shorts), a hat and flip flops (with a closed nose, Crocs will do) because I broke all my fingers, slipping during and after the rain .. very slippery outside ... 6. Be sure to take Koralki (special shoes for walking on corals), a mask with a snorkel. You can have fins, but I didn’t take it and didn’t regret it;

About the hotel in general:
1. Located between the beaches of Kata and Karon;
2. The hotel is on the road like most of the local hotels. But there are only 2 hotel restaurants next to the road. The rooms themselves are located further from the road, which is not audible as soon as you go beyond the restaurants in the interior of the hotel;
3. The hotel is small. For a quiet passing time. The hotel has a lot of greenery, has its own pond (you cannot swim), in which catfish swim. We have our own birds ... we even saw a couple of dogs in cages: (The hotel also has a pool with a bar.
4. The hotel is resting: Russians, we saw a couple of Germans and a couple of Englishmen for the whole time.
5. In the evening it will be a little annoying croaking frogs in a local small pond. Such a feeling, it was specially made for them.
6. Safes are located at the hotel reception (nothing is stored in the rooms). The safes are free.
7. If you go on excursions, you will be given a meager ration (it will be in the photo);
8. If you do not speak English, you will have a hard time. My wife was tortured with translation (she is an English teacher) :)))
9. Buffet at the hotel from October 31st. Before that, there are 3 menus to choose from.

Room fund:
1. The hotel has three types of rooms: standart, superior, Bungalow. Bungalows are located by a lake with catfish. The rest are around them. We chose standart and were satisfied with everything.
2. The room is equipped with air conditioning and electronic key.
3. The room has: towels for each vacationer (1 for the body, 1 for the face, 1 for the beach), a mat, a refrigerator, a hairdryer, a TV (with Russian channels), a bed (huge), a bar for things (not a wardrobe), a dryer and chairs with a table are located on the porch, wi-fi.
4. Towels and a bottle of water (0.5 liters) were changed every day. Bed linen every three days. So we were upset that we took the mat and towels with us;
5. There will be one big umbrella, you can ask for more. It is not suitable for the beach, but you can buy a beach umbrella on the spot;
6. Of course there is air conditioning, but there is no bathroom, only a shower room combined with a toilet.

Beach:
1. There are two beaches within walking distance of the hotel. Kata - 10 min, Karon - 15 min.
2. We traveled by car to the beaches of the west and south of Phuket and could not find it better than Kata. Moreover, there were also paid beaches, such as Paradise.
3. I must say right away that there is no shower on the beaches. Rather, it is there, just not on the beach itself, you have to walk and rinse for 20 baht (40 rubles) ... but, again, this is Thailand ... whoever expects a royal shower is mistaken :)
4. On many beaches, at least during the time in which my wife and I were resting, there were slight tingling sensations throughout the body while swimming. It is plankton ... and there is no getting away from it ... Fortunately, it was not on Kata beach, which cannot be said about all the other beaches.

Where to go:
1. If you need massage treatments then ask or go straight to Darin. If you go towards the Kata beach, then on the left you will see a large signboard;
2. If you want to "come off", including massage, then feel free to go to the local red light district "Bangla road" on Patong beach. I did not take pictures there, but .... there is something to see and there is something and with whom to do. For example, there is a bar where you can give 500 baht (1000 rubles) and drink as much as you like. In general, everything is there ...;
3. If you want to eat, you can dine in local restaurants, or you can go to the market. It's 7 minutes walk towards Karon beach. On the way, run into a 7-eleven store and turn right, there you will see a market. There they will make a smoothie from fresh fruit, babbrqe, salad ... will be chopped with noodles from fresh lobsters, lobsters, shrimps, crabs and other sea creatures ... in general, for every taste. We only ate there;
4. If you want beach parties, then this is paid beaches, such as Paradise. The beach itself is not so hot, but I think Tiesto was there on November 3rd. So before departure, see if some of the famous come ...

Excursions:
1. If you know English well enough, then you do not need local excursions, which will be offered by the Guide. You will be frightened by everyone, but believe me, we took 4 excursions and did not encounter any problems on any of them. The excursions were ordered from the guys who came to us through this site. 2. Do not buy anything on the sightseeing tour, because everything is very expensive. For example: 2 pillows cost 5,400 baht (10,800 rubles), in stores you can take them for 2,800 baht (5,600 rubles). Decide for yourself ...;
3. I recommend that you first sunbathe (3-4 days), and then go on excursions (don't spoil the photos) or go to the solarium in advance for 2 weeks, and then in Phuket, using sunburn oil, get the desired tan;
4. We took excursions:
4.1. Simelan Islands (highly recommended);
4.2. Phi Phi Islands (it is better to take a two-day one). There will be something to see (fire show, sunset-sunrise, etc.)
4.3. Diving (be sure to take, if the money allows, then take the same on the Simelan Islands, the most beautiful view);

1. Rent of cars / motorcycles. How to agree. We rented from the guys for 4 days for 2800 baht (5600 rubles);

3. If you have lunch and dinner, the average check per day per person is 1200 baht in a restaurant. We had dinner at the market and spent 600 baht for two. They rolled out from there;

The hotel is very welcoming. The breakfasts are good, each of us always found something to eat. In the restaurant you can find food for every taste. Everything is delicious. The room is good, everything is clean, nothing is broken. The shower is not very comfortable, after washing the entire bathroom floor is flooded)))). We leave both phones and laptops in the room, everything is always in place, nothing is missing. We store valuables in the safe at the reception. I can’t say anything about the pool because I’ve never been there, my husband said it smells like bleach. The hotel area is well appointed. The staff are friendly.

We had a rest together, a deluxe room! I liked the room, right by the pool (there are 8 deluxe suites in total) The rooms even on the first floor are not visible, because there is a lot of greenery! The hotel is on one of the busiest streets, everything is under the bokoi and the fruit market and cafes and shops! Wi-Fi in deluxe rooms works fine, but you need to take a password at the reception. In the morning the roosters sing, and at night, the feeling that you can hear frogs and cicadas in the garden) We really liked everything, no matter how 2 and all 4! We plan to visit our favorite KATA COUNTRY in a couple of months
