Do you have a garden or vegetable garden and old unnecessary tires? Then you just have to make a cute craft. She will become the pride of your site if you do everything diligently and accurately. No special financial costs are required for this, but time is needed from a couple of hours to a couple of days.

Complex tire products

Now let's move on to considering more time-consuming tire craft options. In fact, they are only slightly more complicated than the previous ones. You will see for yourself when you read the master classes.

We make a swan

Manufacturing involves cutting, so it is better to take very worn rubber with a longitudinal pattern. The first stage of work is marking. Draw a swan neck on the bus as shown in the photo. It should be about half the length of the tire. Then draw out the outlines of the head (about 10 cm long) and the beak (a little shorter). The tail will begin where the beak originates, and therefore will have a forked end. Make it the same width as the neck, and let it be about 30 cm long.

Now is the time to move on to cutting. Depending on the condition and thickness of the rubber, perform the work with a boot knife, grinder or jigsaw. Cutting from both sides of the bar is best done parallel. After finishing cutting, we proceed to turning the workpiece inside out.

The next step is to strengthen the neck and tail. To do this, along these parts, make two holes every 15 cm. In them you will thread metal staples that will hold the rigid rod. After that, the neck and tail need to be given a beautiful curve.

The final stage is painting. You can make yourself either a white or a black swan. Let the beak be red. That's all.

Glamorous flowerpot

Before we looked at simple flowerpots made of tires for a garden plot. Now turn your attention to a more complex and attractive option. Draw a gigzag line on the tire and cut along it. When done, turn the tire inside out. The cut off part usually serves as a stand. Now take an outdoor paint of any color and decorate your flowerpot to the end.

Quiet lake

It is difficult to imagine a person who has not seen handicrafts made from car tires. Agree, many of them are made with talent and leave no one indifferent. Why not try making something with your own hands from old tires? A well-done work will find a place for itself in the summer cottage, in the garden, in the yard.

From snails on earth to birds in the sky can be made from tires

Old tires cost nothing, but they can be used to make fairly large, colorful and useful crafts that are not afraid of bad weather. Car tires can be used to build flower beds, country furniture, toys for a playground, funny figures of animals and birds, useful household items and even a children's car.

Simple crafts require a little time and a minimum of tools. Here is a list of what will be enough for most ideas.

In addition to the above, used tires are used for the construction of foundations and houses. Fences are built from them. We follow the content.

Most important: Crafts from tires for the playground

For the old wheel, both sand and water are familiar environment

Rest assured that everything that is done for children is the most important thing! In its simplest form, sand is poured into the inside of a large wheel - and you get a sandbox. A painted wheel, and even with a pattern, will become a decoration of the site. We put an umbrella in the sand and get an option for small VIPs. For them, we put on a heater for water pipes on the inner rim of the tire so as not to get scratched.

Small tires are fine too. They can be fastened together with self-tapping screws. The protruding part of the self-tapping screw must be screwed into a piece of wood so that no one gets hurt.

A mini pool made of a large wheel is a well-known business. A small workshop on making a pool:

  1. The tire has a bead cut off on one side. The work is best done with a jigsaw.
  2. A pit is dug with a depth of 20 cm and is slightly larger in area than the outer dimensions of the wheel.
  3. Sand and crushed stone are placed in the pit, with a total thickness of at least 10 cm.
  4. Pour cement mortar in a ratio of 1: 3.
  5. A tire is placed on a thick solution and poured with a solution further so as to close the inner rim of the wheel. A layer of mortar with a total thickness of 20 cm will not crack.
  6. After the solution has solidified, the inner and outer surfaces are painted. Blue paint works best. It is better to prime the pre-painted surface.
  7. After the paint has dried, the pool can be filled with water.

Your version of the swing may be different

Swing is a sacred thing. Nobody will become Gagarin, but all family members will enjoy the swing. In a hardware store, you will need to purchase a chain, suspension hooks, carabiners for connecting a chain, screws, washers and M6, M8 nuts to form a seat.

The screws must be of the optimum length, with a half-countersunk head or with a hemispherical head. It is better to use decorative cap nuts. Screws that are too long must be cut off.

Subject to the listed conditions, the product will be as safe as possible. In the photo below, there are options in which only the rope was required.

Personal swing, as well as for two or more children

It is even easier to make a rocking chair on the ground. It is better not to cut the tire in half, but leave the protrusions for attaching to the board with self-tapping screws. Note that the soft wheel will buckle, so the stiffness of the tire will limit the weight of those who can use the swing.

The board treated with emery cloth will protect the sensitive parts of your children from splinters. The painted product will impress your neighbors. The handles are best placed across the board. They should be large so that the child's hand does not get stuck under the handle when falling. If you do not walk around the country at night, you can attach decorative eyes to the swing.

A rocking chair for one child can have a base of simpler shapes. Not everyone has an old bicycle handlebar and can be replaced with a shovel handle.

Car, tractor and tank - all from old wheels

The number of places and the limits of fantasy are not limited

I think that one of these cars can distract your child from the TV. For a car, in addition to worn wheels, you will need a steering wheel. Unnecessary discs, hubcaps and headlights are present in almost any garage and will be gladly used for a useful cause.

In its simplest form, a regular board laid on a tire is suitable as a seat. A broken plastic chair will create a Schumacher car. Most importantly, do not spare paint and imagination when working with a model.

There is no dispute about tastes when it comes to the future tractor driver and general.

Nothing prevents you from building both a tractor and a tank from tires. Discuss the design idea with your child and include them in the creation process.

Furniture for adults and children at their summer cottage

"Indestructible" furniture for a summer residence

Such furniture can definitely be left in the garden. The rain will not spoil it, it is easier for intruders to do their own thing than to carry heavy loads. If you drill the holes and thread a weather-resistant cord through them, the result will be original and reliable. Several round pieces of wood can be cut from thick branches. Then they should be cleaned of bark, sandpaper the ends and varnished. We twist everything with self-tapping screws and get a chair and a table.

The simplest thing is to put the tires on top of each other and cover them with sheets of moisture-resistant material, such as OSB. Surfaces covered with a moisture-resistant glossy varnish will be protected from moisture, will not get dirty, they are easy to wipe off dust. To prevent the tires from moving, they can be fastened with self-tapping screws.

Another step towards perfection is the padded seats and backrests. It is convenient to cut the bases of such parts out of plywood. Foam rubber with a thickness of 2-5 cm is laid on them and covered with furniture fabric. The fabric is wrapped and stapled to the plywood with a staple gun.

Comfortable armrests are obtained from motorcycle tires. In this case, the armrests and backrest are fastened with screws, washers and nuts M6, M8. As already mentioned, the screws must be of the optimal length, with a half-countersunk head or with a hemispherical head. It is better to use decorative cap nuts. Screws that are too long must be cut off.

The bases and backs of the seats, as you can see in the photo, can be made from tread strips. The strips are intertwined and attached to the inside of the tire rim. In this case, you can do without screws if you screw the self-tapping screws of the optimal length into the bus so that they do not protrude.

You can't forbid living beautifully: simple and complex are near

It will come in handy on the farm

This homemade product captured my heart so much that I did not regret five minutes of jigsaw work for it. The photo shows the technical process and the result.

Convenient hose container is made in five minutes

It is difficult to remain indifferent when the possibility of using worn-out tires on the farm is obvious. Rate yourself:

  1. If you insert a plastic basin of a suitable diameter into a car tire, you get a wonderful sink for a summer cottage.
  2. Several tires stacked on top of each other in the pit will serve as a durable toilet container. It is recommended to pre-fill the sand and gravel at the bottom of the pit.
  3. Tire treads are perfect for playing the role of a track in the garden. Tread strips cut from an old tire are fastened together with a plank and self-tapping screws.

Wheels don't run anymore, now walk on them

Funny, funny figurines for everyone

Figures made of tires impress with their colorfulness, originality and size. We have already told you how to make a palm tree from plastic bottles. You can also build a palm tree from old tires. You can attach a giraffe next to the palm tree in the garden.

This palm and giraffe are not afraid of frost

Having buried an old wheel partially in the ground, you can make almost any animal. Adding various attributes to decorate the craft is encouraged. The most important thing is not to limit your imagination in the use of paints.

The wheel buried in the ground easily turns into any animal

By combining multiple tires of different sizes, cutting and bending material in all directions, and applying bold colors, you can create a lot of smiley crafts out of old tires. You just have to take and try, since the source material can be spoiled as much as you like. It is convenient to apply the cutting pattern of the workpiece to the rubber with chalk or a marker.

All tire crafts are equal - flamingos, snails and elephants

Human-sized figures are easy to build from worn wheels. They are good in the yard, behind the fence, and on the playground. To mount the wheels on top of each other, it is convenient to use a piece of reinforcement or a metal pipe driven into the ground. It is important that the rod runs through both tires to the full height of the craft. It is convenient to cut flat circles from plywood, OSB, plastic and even linoleum. Any material can be fastened with self-tapping screws.

Such human-sized figures are visible a mile away.

Cutting a tire is a rather time-consuming process. It is not always possible to pick up a knife of the required strength, not every summer resident has a jigsaw. Step-by-step instructions for making a flower basket

Such a basket can be used for low flowers, since a lot of earth will not enter into it. The airy structure will look good on a terrace or near the front porch of a house.

  1. Prepare the tire as described above.
  2. Cut out a template from cardboard, put it on the tire, circle it.

You do not need to use a template for drawing a simple pattern if the master has a good eye

  3. Cut out the pattern with a jigsaw on both sides.

It is easier and faster to cut a pattern on a tire with an electric jigsaw than with a knife

  4. We put the tire vertically, mark the middle on its upper edge and cut the surface in half.
  5. We turn out the tire.
  6. We twist the long ends and fasten them with self-tapping screws.

It takes physical strength to twist tight ends, sometimes it is better to do it together.

  7. Drill drainage holes in the lower part of the basket.

Crafts made from tires can serve as elements of site decor. Bright figurines are often used as flower beds. And if you glue the bottom, also cut from the tire, you can make an original container for water from a cup or teapot. Rubber retains heat well, and this water is suitable for watering greenhouse plantings.

One of the simplest figures is a sun made of tires and plastic bottles. It is done like this:

  1. Paint the tires with yellow or orange acrylic paint.

To paint the tire, you can use a special paint for rubber, which is sold in spray cans.

  2. Pour the same paint into bottles and shake well. After the paint has evenly covered the walls of the bottles from the inside, remove the corks and put them to dry.
  3. We put the tire, which will be the sun, on another support tire (we also paint it beforehand) or dig it into the ground.

Options for garden figures from car tires

Tire swan

To work you will need the following tools: electric jigsaw, a jigsaw file with a reverse tooth, a knife, an electric drill with a 3 mm drill, pliers - pliers and a metal saw, a grinder.

Of the materials required: a metal rod 1-1.2 meters long, pieces of thin wire, chalk for marking, brushes and paint, black (if the swan is black), white (if the swan is white) and red for the beak.

1. Mark the tire with chalk. Approximate dimensions: The swan is made of an R13 wheel with a circumference of 180 cm. The length of the neck from the base to the tip of the beak should be more than half the circumference, that is, 95 cm. For orientation, the length of the beak is 9 cm, the head is 10 cm.
2. After marking, punch a hole with a knife for the jigsaw saw blade.
3. Saw through chalk bills with a jigsaw. Please note that for the success and speed of your work, it is necessary to cut equal small distances from both sides, otherwise the rubber will bend and complicate the work.
4. The length of the tail from tip to base is 25 cm. This length will also make it easier to turn the tire out.
5. Turn the tire inside out
6. Through 15-20 cm we drill two holes along the length of the neck next to the center line. We drill holes in the base of the tire to the tail. Prepare staples from pieces of thin wire about 10-15 cm long and insert them into the holes.
7. We take a thick steel wire or strip with a length of 120-150 cm. In the example, a bimetallic wire from external power wires is used. One end of the rod should be at the bottom of the tire. Bend this end along the profile of the tire and place it along the neck. From the last attachment on the head to the edge of the rod, there should be 9-12 cm.
8. Twist the ends of the staples over the rod and bend them towards the surface. We bend the swan's neck.
9. We paint the swan in the desired color

You'll need: 4 regular tires, 2 plastic can lids and a metal bar.

The tires need to be dug into the ground at different levels in ascending order, then painted green. The antennae of the caterpillar are bent from a metal strip and fixed on self-tapping screws. "Eyes" must first be painted and dried, and then also fixed on self-tapping screws.

You'll need two tires of different diameters (one for the body, the other for the head), linoleum, pipe, plywood or wood, thick rubber and facade paints.

The body and head of the bunny are connected with a pipe. The holes in the tires are cut with a grinder. On the section of pipe between the head and body, a hole must be drilled in the pipe for easier assembly and transportation. The bow to the bunny is cut out of iron or wood and fixed on a hairpin in a drilled hole.

Plywood is fixed to the tire rim using self-tapping screws. At the same time, the plywood is lubricated around the circumference with a sealant for strength. Linoleum is glued on top of a sheet of plywood using liquid nails. From the inside, the same sequence of procedures is done.

Feet (front) and ears are cut from thick rubber. You can use all the same tires for this. For support, two tires of medium diameter are used as hind legs, which are buried in the ground. Now you can start painting. It is necessary to paint in two layers.
