To make the tree look beautiful, it is important to choose only high-quality coffee beans of any kind of Arabica.

It is important that the grains are intact and at least about the same size. It is good to select small grains, as they adhere better to each other and leave no gaps. They should be smooth and neat. Broken, exfoliated grains will not work for creating a tree.

In order to make a beautiful piece of jewelry, you need to follow a few rules:

  • In order to make a tree trunk, you will definitely need to prepare material for its base. For this case, a variety of sticks, wire, which will need to be wrapped with any ribbons or threads, are suitable;
  • For the base, flower pots are suitable. It is best to choose plain containers, as it will be easier to decorate them;
  • The capacity where the tree will be "planted" should not be large. It is best to use flower pots or glasses the size of the tree itself. In a large bowl, the product will look ugly.

As a rule, you can take any handy materials for the coffee tree. In addition to coffee beans, various ribbons, beads, artificial flowers, shells and other elements can be used here that will make the topiary more interesting and beautiful. It is important to glue the grains very carefully so as not to stain them and not spoil their appearance.

  7. The tree, which turned out as a result, is placed in a pot, hot glue is poured to the bottom.
  8. The pot is filled with rice or other small materials in the form of pebbles, and the top is filled with paint previously mixed with PVA glue.

Lovely romantic heart of coffee beans

  • Grain coffee;
  • Thread or yarn;
  • Acrylic paints;
  • White paper napkins;
  • High quality glue that fixes details well.

To form the base, 3 hearts are cut out of thick cardboard, the main thing is that 1 is larger, and the other two are smaller. The two resulting small hearts are glued to a large blank. The base is pasted over with napkins, then paint is applied, approximate in color to the coffee bean. When the paint has dried thoroughly, threads are wound on the workpiece in a chaotic manner, after which plaster is applied and the grains are fixed in two layers - this is done to make the heart seem more voluminous.

Coffee sunflowers

  • Next, you need to form flowers. For this, segments are cut from the twine. For a flower, you will need to take 5 large segments and 4 small ones. Petals are formed and attached to each other with a hot glue gun. After that, the flowers are attached to the base.
  • Coffee beans are placed in the middle of the flower petals, which are fixed with hot melt glue.
  • The prepared flowers are attached to the previously prepared nuts.

The process of creating a floating cup is as follows:

  • You will need to take a copper wire and cut off 20 cm from it;
  • Then you need to measure 7 cm on the wire and roll this part into a circle;
  • From the other end of the wire, you need to set aside 4 cm and bend it again;
  • The saucer and cup must be completely fat-free, otherwise it will be impossible to glue the coffee beans to them;
  • Glue the wire to the saucer where it was bent. Allow the glue to dry completely.
  • After a while, glue the other side of the wire to the cup. Don't let go of the cup right away, as it hasn't completely adhered yet. It is better to put a support under it and let the glue dry again. In order for the base to dry, it will need to be left for 8-10 hours.
  • Now you need to tilt the cup, by bending the wire, to the desired degree.
  • Apply construction foam around the wire. You do not need a lot of it, since it increases during the application process.
  • Leave the workpiece again until completely dry, for about a day.

The hardened foam must be cut off, or rather its excess edges.

  • Paint the cured foam with paint.
  • Attach the coffee beans to the painted part by pressing them firmly against each other.
  • The saucer can be garnished with cinnamon sticks, aniseed flowers, and more.

Topiary from coffee (video)

Classic balls for home and office

It imitates the crown of a real tree, trimmed in a French park style. In a pot or vase, you can place one tree or create a whole composition of 2-3 trunks. It is important to maintain a balance, the crown in the form of a ball should not be too heavy so that the structure does not overturn. If you do not understand what a real tree of happiness should look like, watch the master class in the video, where everything is explained in great detail.

To create a classic round topiary you will need:

  • round floral sponge for dried flowers;
  • stationery knife;
  • artificial stem or slightly curved thick branch;
  • plastic or clay pot;
  • small twigs for decoration;
  • rope;
  • star anise, cinnamon, cloves;
  • roasted coffee beans;
  • brown silk ribbon;
  • polymer glue;
  • gypsum or alabaster.

Find the right size for your floral round sponge. It has a perfectly flat surface, is lightweight and very easy to use. At the bottom with a clerical knife, cut a hole corresponding to the volume of the branch or trunk. Coat the workpiece with polymer glue and firmly attach the grains with the grooves down. In the next row, glue the grains in strips up, alternating them with clove buds. Attach a few star anise stars on top. Spices will not only make the tree more beautiful, but also add new notes to the fragrant bouquet.

Buff the branch with sandpaper to make it perfectly smooth, then trim to the desired length. An artificial trunk bought in the salon does not need additional finishing. If desired, it can be painted with acrylic paint. Coat the top end of the trunk with glue and reinforce the crown. It must be well fixed in order for the tree to be stable.

Dilute alabaster or gypsum with water and pour into the prepared pot. Place the barrel in it and hold until the alabaster hardens. Coat the surface of the wood with glue and line with the coffee beans, grooves up. Place a couple of cinnamon sticks and an anise star on top.

Cut thin twigs into small even pieces and cover the pot with them. Wrap the rope over them. Finally, tie a brown silk ribbon around the base of the opening and tie it with a bow. Based on the creation of the tree of happiness, you can make a master class by recording it on video.

Heart-shaped topiary (video)

Heart with coffee aroma: simple and romantic

The heart of coffee beans looks very impressive. It is better to make such a thing small, a bulky design will lose its charm. The base-heart can be made from crumpled paper, cut out of foam. There are ready-made floristic bases on sale that are very easy to work with. To make a do-it-yourself topiary from coffee beans, purchase in advance:

  • a vase or pot for the base;
  • alabaster or gypsum;
  • newsprint;
  • polymer glue;
  • dark brown acrylic or watercolor paint;
  • thick wire;
  • dark brown woolen threads;
  • roasted coffee beans;
  • silk ribbons;
  • beads for decoration.

Crumple the newsprint and shape it into a heart by wrapping the threads around the structure. Cover the product with polymer glue and leave to dry. Then paint it with acrylics so that the base does not show through under the coffee beans. Let the workpiece dry. At the bottom of the heart, make a hole for the attachment.

Cut a piece of wire to the desired length. Wrap it tightly with brown woolen threads and secure with a drop of glue. Place glue on the paper base and attach the coffee beans to it, positioning them as tightly as possible. They can be glued in one or two layers. After drying the heart blank, fix it on a wire coated with glue. If it does not hold tightly enough, you can fix the paper heart with brown plasticine, hiding the attachment point under a silk ribbon tied with a bow.

Pour the diluted alabaster into a pot, place a wire support in it and hold until the mixture is completely solid. Cover the surface with coffee beans, strengthening them with drops of glue.

Topiary heart can be decorated with silk ribbon rosettes or a cute bow at the base of the trunk. Rhinestones or artificial pearls look very impressive. Place them on top of the coffee beans in random order. Interesting ideas for decorating trees of happiness can be gleaned from numerous videos, where authors share their best finds. Attend a thematic master class, it will become a source of inspiration for your own creativity.

The first thing that can be decorated with coffee beans is a regular photo frame. The grains are simply glued onto the workpiece. This craft is especially suitable for a vintage-style interior. To add a special aroma to the room, there are not only candles made of coffee beans, but also candlesticks. You just need to fill them in any shape. Then a candle is fixed in it. In addition to the grains, twine is often used. Whole models are made of these two materials, for example, mills or small huts.

The most original gift can be a cup of spilled coffee. For this, a frame is made of thick wire in the form of flowing water. Then all this is wrapped with masking tape and pasted over with grains, and a mug is fixed on top. It turns out a very original composition - the cup seems to float in the air. What is topiary

Topiary is called ornamental trees, which are made from improvised tools and natural materials. It is believed that this hand-made technology dates back to the days of the Roman patricians, in whose gardens the trees were cut in a special way. The crowns had an unusual shape, usually reminiscent of statues and various decorative objects.

Over time, the technology has changed, working on it in the monasteries of the Renaissance, Dutch and English gardens and labyrinths. Today, topiary is a popular type of gift.

The coffee tree, bringing visual aesthetic pleasure, will appeal to many thanks to its subtle aroma. Even after processing, the grains smell amazingly, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility in the room. You can complement a decorative tree with a variety of vintage trinkets.

A tree made of grains is able to look harmoniously in the interior, regardless of style. It can be an apartment with a sophisticated classic style, a modern loft or minimalism. Topiary will look advantageous against the background of mint color and other shades of green. An original Christmas tree made of coffee beans can be placed in any room. You can decorate a street gazebo or free space on the veranda with a similar decor.

Such crafts are not just an addition to the design of the room, but also a symbol of well-being, prosperity and happiness. The tree always symbolizes vitality, so the topiary is great as a gift for both women and men.

Tools and materials

Prepare the following materials to make a coffee tree:

- Whole bean coffee. If possible, try to buy quality coffee. It is recommended to choose a product with uniformly roasted beans that are relatively uniform in size. They must be carefully dried. Coffee beans will need to be glued “flat”, but sometimes this is done by placing individual grains with “scales”;

- The foundation. A heart or a ball is taken as a blank. Such a base can be ready-made or made independently on the basis of cardboard or foam;

- Threads. They are needed in almost all variations of craft creation;

- Dye. This material will be required for application to the workpiece;

- Tube or stick, wire. They are necessary in order for the tree to have a trunk;

- Gypsum or alabaster (preferably with mixing utensils);

- Scissors;

- Capacity for a tree. There can be many different options here - from a homemade pot and bowl to store pots and vases;

- Scotch tape (required double-sided);

- Additional decorations. The craft can be decorated with various beads, ribbons and bows, carnations, cinnamon sticks, etc.

Coffee tree - step by step instructions

There are many options for how you can make such a craft with your own hands. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the instruction, which combines several techniques at once and differs from others in its ease of implementation.

Stage 1. We work with a blank.

For a round topiary, use ready-made balls or make a ball with your own hands based on foam (it is better if wire is used for the barrel). You can also take the heart ready-made if you can find a suitable element, but you can also cut it out of a piece of foam.

The workpiece is pasted over with paper, wrapped with a thread (knitting), preferably of a dark color. Then it must be painted brown.

To make a symmetrical base for the crown of a tree in the shape of a heart, you will need cardboard (will serve as the basis), as well as cotton wool (needed to create volume). However, there is another way to make a heart. Cut out figures of the same shape from cardboard and place a tube between them as a trunk. The two figures are glued together. Only after that, you need to stick cotton pads on the finished base, which will be needed for volume.

When the workpiece is wrapped with a thread and painted in the desired color, it can be safely covered with glue and coffee beans. It is recommended to do this not in one layer, but in two, and the first is laid with the side with a flat surface inward, and the other - vice versa.

Stage 2. We design the core.

The tube or wire that you choose for the trunk should be covered with sheets of tissue paper, ribbons or string, and then glued to the crown. You can bend the wire if you like. In the case of a cardboard heart, you need to connect the parts a little earlier than for other blanks, only a small hole will be enough.

Stage 3. "Plant" a tree.

It is necessary to conveniently measure the amount of solution using a container into which you insert a tree. Prepare a mixture of alabaster or gypsum, pour into a pot. Then insert the topiary in the center and wait until the mass hardens. When everything is dry, cover the "soil" with an additional layer of coffee (you can replace it with shavings or sawdust, tea leaves).

Stage 4. We decorate the craft.

As decorations, you can use not only ribbons and beads, but also miniature figurines of animals, rough fabric for a pot, star anise stars for crown decoration, etc.

Original ideas for topiary

Feel free to experiment and get creative with your coffee tree. There are many different variations of topiary, here are some stylish ideas for crafts.

Classical

Traditional coffee topiary is round in shape. There are no special decorations, it is best if the craft is made in calm shades using natural materials. This is a simple and really elegant option that suits different interior styles.

Valentine

The heart-shaped topiary can be handed over on February 14th as a surprise. The base is sold in stores with floristic materials, but you can also make it yourself using available tools.

"Flying" cup

Crafts like these seem incredibly complex, but they are quite easy to do on your own. This will require a piece of wire, a glue gun or a can of polyurethane foam.

Tree with flowers

A tree with delicate flowers will be a wonderful surprise for a gift on March 8, birthday, etc. In addition, such a topiary can be placed in the living room or bedroom.

With birds and butterflies

Imagine a stylish tree with dragonflies, butterflies or birds sitting on it. This craft looks truly spring and reminds of warm days, regardless of the weather outside the window.

Fruit tree

Decorate the craft with dried fruit wedges, such as citrus fruits, for a wonderful decorative piece for a summer table. However, it is quite possible to supplement with such a topiary the New Year's table setting.

Money Tree

The coffee "money" tree is a good surprise for men. It can be made in the same way as an ordinary topiary, the only difference is that the ball needs to be pasted over with coins, then go around them with lightning and, at the end, cover with coffee beans.

New Year

The herringbone topiary will be a wonderful decoration for the table during the holidays, and will also complement the home New Year's atmosphere. You can buy the blank base additionally or make it yourself. To do this, just roll the cardboard in the form of a cone and cut off the excess pieces.

Double and triple

For such a craft, you need to spend more time, but the result will be a really beautiful topiary. Several crowns develop from one rod or "grow" from two or three trunks at once, which may have different thicknesses and heights.

Ball

This is not really a topiary, but a coffee ball is made in a similar way. The difference lies in the absence of a trunk, and in shape it will not at all resemble a tree. Can be combined in the composition of coffee beans with seeds, legumes. You can get a stylish option if you place several balls in a beautiful glass dish or vase.

The idea of fragrant ornamental trees is not new, but it certainly deserves attention. It is not difficult to make a coffee tree with your own hands, while it will look very advantageous in the interior and can be an excellent gift for any coffee lover, both man and woman. And the aroma of the coffee bean tree speaks for itself. In this article, we will show you how to make a tree from coffee beans.

DIY coffee tree: materials and tools

  • coffee beans (you can experiment by replacing them with anise seeds);
  • a vase or small pot that can be purchased at any flower shop;
  • a tree twig, a Japanese chopstick, a skewer to make a tree trunk from coffee beans;
  • Styrofoam ball (available at a craft store)
  • rough twine or tape for decoration;
  • reliable, transparent adhesive. It is best to use a hot silicone glue gun, it holds the parts together securely and is odorless. Any other "Superglue" or "Moment" can be an alternative;
  • spray paint of golden or brown color;
  • stuffing (padding, crumpled paper or scraps of fabric to fill a small pot prepared with them);
  • decorative details to your taste;
  • cardboard, pencil, scissors.

How to make a tree from coffee beans

First, let's prepare the crown and trunk of our makeshift tree for work. This can be done in different ways. The easiest, in my opinion, is to carefully tint the stick from all sides using a spray can with a suitable color of nitro paint. Remember that it is best to do this in a well-ventilated area, after placing a paper or napkin on the table so as not to stain the countertop with paint.

If you don't like this option or you don't have the desired paint at hand, you can tightly wrap the stick with twine or threads, leaving a little free space on top, since part of the stick will still be inside the ball. The ends of the winding are secured with a few drops of glue.

It is also better to tint the ball so that the white base does not appear in the gaps between the coffee beans. It is ideal to use gold, brown or even black paint for this. To make it more convenient to work, the ball should be placed on a small stand, and the spray can should be kept at a sufficiently large distance from it, since fine-grained foam can begin to sinter unaesthetically under the influence of too much aggressive paint. Theoretically, a foam ball can be replaced with a blank rolled up from crumpled paper and pasted over with soft napkins, but in this case you can hardly achieve a perfectly round shape.

When the paint on the ball is completely dry, you can start gluing the coffee beans. This work is simple, but rather painstaking. It is necessary to glue the grains as close to each other as possible, so that there are practically no gaps. In the center of the ball, it is better to immediately outline the place of the future connection of the crown with the barrel-stick and leave it free during operation.

When the ball is completely decorated with coffee, insert the handle deeply into the bottom of the ball. It is better to pre-pour a little glue there for reliability. Make sure that the stick is not too long and that the entire structure is stable enough.

So that the coffee tree does not dangle freely in the vase, but holds firmly in its place, the container should be tightly filled with some material. A special filling - holofiber is best suited, but sand, sawdust, paper or synthetic winterizer are also suitable as "soil". You need to stuff as tightly as possible.

Cut out a circle from thick cardboard with a diameter slightly smaller than the neck of a vase or pot and make a small, neat hole for the handle in its center. The circle should completely hide the insides of the vase and fix the tree in place. I used golden cardboard that matches the color of the wood. If this is not at hand, ordinary cardboard can also be pasted over with coffee beans - it will look no worse.

We insert the tree into the hole prepared for this and securely "plant" it in the pot. All that remains is to add a few decorative touches to your taste. I used copper butterfly pads, glued to the crown and trunk. You can tie a pot with a ribbon or twine, or place a few beautiful beads between coffee beans - nothing should limit your imagination.
The coffee tree is ready, you can enjoy the view and aroma, and, of course, brew yourself a cup of an invigorating drink.
