What you need to take with you on your trip. What to take with you on a trip? Detailed list

Engineering systems

I always write a list in advance before the trip, so as not to forget something necessary, and then scold myself for forgetfulness and hindsight. Most often, the set of the most important things is the same, only the clothes change depending on the season and the purpose of the trip.

Travel essentials:

Documentation: international passport and its copy, a copy of a Russian passport (if you are traveling abroad), an electronic copy of your passports (scan documents and send them to your e-mail), a driver's license (if you rent a car).

Medical insurance. Insurance is required to be presented at the embassy when obtaining a visa. She also needs to take insurance with her on a trip.

Tickets or printouts. Although the airport does not ask for air tickets, but only a passport, it is better to have a printed itinerary receipt with you. Read the article on how to buy cheap flights online.

voucher, or a hotel booking voucher if you are traveling on your own.

Money. It can be money on a bank card and cash. If you keep money only on a card, take cash with you on a trip, even preferably in small bills, to pay for the bus or taxi fare if you get to the hotel on your own.

Reminder with necessary phone numbers: address and telephone number of the Russian embassy, telephone numbers of the police and ambulance.

If you regularly take some pills, put them in the first-aid kit first of all, the funds will also not interfere:

  • for a cold (I take with me a couple of bags of Theraflu and lollipops for a sore throat),
  • from indigestion (many people overeat when traveling, or food can be stale in large hotels),
  • painkillers (No-shpa or Tempalgin),
  • products for treating scratches (for example, bottles of iodine),
  • sunscreen if you are going to sunbathe,
  • sunburn treatment,
  • band-aid,
  • earplugs (noisy neighbors may live nearby or there may be a club / disco nearby)

Personal hygiene products: washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, razor, shaving foam, face and hand cream, wet wipes, cotton swabs, deodorant, comb, hair tie and soap (in case you need to wash something).

Camera and charger (or batteries). If the memory card is not large, then take a flash drive with you, you can go to any Internet cafe and transfer photos to a flash drive and continue taking pictures.

Mobile phone and Charger. For some reason, many people remember about the charger for the phone at the last moment or completely forget about it.

Adapter for socket. In some countries, the plugs for the outlet are different from Russian ones, so always find out what type of outlet is in the hotel where you are staying. There are universal adapters that can be used in almost any country.

Guide and map. It is advisable to plan in advance what you need to visit and see.

Required Conversational Phrases in a foreign language. Phrases for use in a restaurant, in a hotel, in case you need to go to the police or to the hospital can come in handy.

Needle, thread and superglue in case something gets torn or torn off during the trip.

Pen to record important information.

Clothing and footwear. What you will wear during the trip largely depends on the place where you are going and the goals. For example, if you are going to sunbathe on the beach without leaving the hotel, then shorts, T-shirts, swimwear, hats, slippers, and sunglasses will come in handy here. If you have a sightseeing tour and you intend to walk a lot around the city and see the sights, then shoes are important: sneakers or comfortable shoes. Even if you are going to warm countries, take warm clothes with you (socks, jacket, pants). Just in case, I take a raincoat with me, it is much lighter than an umbrella.

Today I’ll tell you what to take with you on the train from food, clothes, hygiene products, entertainment, documents, if you are going on a long trip. After all, you can endure a few hours, and on a long journey you want to feel as comfortable as possible.

I have a solid experience of traveling on trains since my early childhood (often planes from my city are expensive), so I decided to make a list of things to take with you on the train for those who travel less often or even for the first time. And it does not matter for one day, two days or more.

What to take with you on the train?

Documentation

The first thing you should definitely check before leaving home is documents and money:

  • train tickets,
  • passports,
  • child's birth certificate,
  • school certificates and a power of attorney for the child (if necessary),
  • a small amount of cash.

I recommend putting all your valuables in either a small fanny pack or a dedicated canvas bag to keep them with you at all times. In principle, you can store them under the pillow, here it’s more convenient and familiar to you. It’s better not to take a large amount of cash with you, and even more so not to shine it (although it has become much safer on trains now), a small supply is enough for small expenses, and the rest is on a bank card.

clothing

Take a change of clothes with you on the train. The main thing is that it is convenient for you personally.

  • flip flops - easy to take off and put on,
  • t-shirt/shirt,
  • sweatpants/shorts,
  • jacket / turtleneck,
  • interchangeable regular socks/woolen socks.
  • earplugs and an eye mask - great for helping you fall asleep anywhere.

It all depends on the time of year and the specific carriage: in summer it will be hot even without air conditioning, in winter some trains have poor heating, so you have to put on warm clothes.

Hygiene and cosmetics

It is imperative to take hygiene products with you on the train, because even despite the apparent cleanliness, the cars are not sterile.

  • toothpaste and brush (there are special travel cases for brushes),
  • soap and soap dish,
  • antibacterial wipes - they are convenient to wipe your hands and the table before eating, and in general they will come in handy in many places,
  • toilet paper,
  • paper napkins,
  • hairbrush,
  • tonic for washing, cream, cotton pads and sticks for women.

You will be provided with a towel along with bed linen, but you can bring your own if you wish. Washers are conveniently folded into a special plastic package with a lock, even if something leaks, the rest of the things will remain clean. I often have disposable bars of soap and toothpaste from hotels, often I take them.

first aid kit

We always have a small first aid kit with us, even if we go to a neighboring city, not to mention distant wanderings. You should not take a lot, but you should take the main medicines with you on the train:

  • painkillers,
  • allergy remedies,
  • remedies for indigestion and pain in the stomach,
  • antipyretic,
  • plaster, iodine,
  • specific medicines for your particular ailments.

What to take on the train from food and drink?

The romance of the train, food and conversations with fellow travelers are inseparable. For our people, the process of eating on the railway carries some kind of sacred meaning :-) After all, as soon as the train leaves the platform, many people immediately take out chicken, Rolltons and Doshiraki, boiled eggs, bread and tea - this is a classic! And how it smells ... these are memories from childhood.

Dine in the dining car is not very tasty and, moreover, very expensive, so it is better to pack food with you. So, what kind of food to take on the train?

Remember that you should not take perishable food and food with a strong smell, so you can not only get poisoned, but also cause inconvenience to your neighbors.

List of what to take on the train from food:

  • vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, boiled corn,
  • fruits: apples, pears, tangerines, bananas, oranges. Wash fruits and vegetables at home in advance, take not the most ripe ones so that they live long.
  • grilled chicken,
  • boiled eggs,
  • smoked sausage,
  • cheeses: hard or melted, wrap in foil,
  • boiled potatoes in their skins, for the first time,
  • bread, preferably already sliced,
  • disposable instant cereals,
  • dried fruits and nuts,
  • sweets: caramel sweets, gingerbread, waffles, cookies,
  • tea bags,
  • sugar and salt
  • drinking water.

Sometimes, when food is not from home, you have to take noodles or instant potatoes, but I will not advise it, only as a last resort.

There is also an opinion that the water in titanium is not very good and is rarely brought to a boil, but during my trips everything was ok.

Quite often, the most unpleasant point of travel is long and burdensome fees. Or fast and stupid. I know those who are going on a trip with taste for a week, thinking through each pin, and those who are going on the day of departure, forgetting half of it. Did you recognize yourself?

I have been preparing for the trip for years. Every time after returning from a trip, starting from a trip to the Crimea in 1998, I wrote “Lists of things for the road based on the results of the last trip”. And going next time on the road, I always used the previous list. She opened a notepad and with a pen put a tick in front of the item packed in luggage.
A lot has accumulated over the past 15 years. In any case, the brown notebook is over. The lists differ from each other because the trips themselves differ: the number and set of things for a three-week trip differs from the list of things for two- and three-day trips. Also, a trip by train, bus and car involves slightly different sets and distributions of things. What is distribution? This is packing things in different bags: luggage (what will be removed and left untouched in the process of moving to the destination), bag (s) with you (what you will use on the trip).

Due to the nature of my work, I traveled quite a lot. Over time, numerous lists resulted in one standard list of things that you can get together in 1 hour, provided that you are not traveling with a large family (here, of course, you can’t manage it in an hour) and provided that the clothes are washed and ironed in the closet, just get a stack. Because “work” with clothes is the most time-consuming. So, keep your clothes (and shoes!) in combat (clean!) readiness always if you are an avid traveler.
So, I present to you a simple and “quick” list of things to collect. Prepare a bag (suitcase), print out the list, fold things and put a mark in front of each item in your luggage.
P.S. Care and hygiene products can be packed together in one bag. The same goes for drugs. Try to arrange items in such a way that close ones for their intended purpose are located together, so it will be convenient to find them and unpack them on the spot.

List of things for a short trip (for 2-5 days)

When going on vacation, it is very important to properly treat the fees - to put things in such a way that only the most necessary items are in the suitcases, and nothing more. This is especially true for air travel. In order for the fees to pass quickly and efficiently, it is best to make a list of what to take with you on a trip in advance. Over time, it can be supplemented, gradually crossing out what has already been prepared.

Those who like to spend holidays away from home can make such a list once. After the first trip, correct it, taking into account what was taken, but not needed, or enter the missing items.

Money and documents

Of course, you cannot do without these two things on any trip, even if you go on vacation to relatives in the nearest village. And if you fly by plane or travel by train for a long period of time, documents and money on the trip will come in handy.

List of required documents:

  • A foreign passport (if you are crossing the border) and a civil passport if you are traveling through the territory of Russia. It is advisable to make photocopies of passports in case they are lost;
  • Put travel documents in your passport - train, plane or bus tickets. Scan them and identify them in one of the folders on your gadget;
  • If you decide to spend your vacation in a resort, be sure to grab a voucher for the hotel where you decide to stay;
  • For sanatoriums and health resorts, you will need a medical card;
  • Those who have health insurance will need to bring a photocopy of it with them. If there is none, and the trip is long, be sure to issue it;
  • A driver's license if you are traveling by car and an international driver's license if you plan to rent a car abroad.

Important! Please note that when traveling abroad, you can get into unforeseen and non-standard situations. Therefore, among your loved ones staying at home, there must be a trusted person who can resolve problems with local authorities. Even a lost SIM card from a mobile phone cannot be restored without a notarized power of attorney.

Divide funds according to the following principle:

  • A small amount of cash, which may be needed at the airport, at the railway station or on the train itself;
  • Be sure not one, but several bank cards. It is better if they are from different banks and support different payment systems - MasterCard or Visa. Before leaving, pay attention to their expiration dates;

If the vacation is connected with crossing the border, grab a small amount of currency and open at least one foreign currency account in the bank.

Do not forget that before going abroad, you need to report this to the nearest bank branch where a foreign currency account is opened. Otherwise, you will not withdraw money from an ATM of another state!

Engineering and electronics

Be sure to take a mobile phone on the road, even if the “roaming” service is not issued for you. You may need it to inform your relatives in case an unforeseen situation arises at the airport or railway station and you need their help. Also pack your charger.

A tablet or laptop, if necessary, is checked in at the airport as hand luggage. The same applies to a camera or camcorder. Do not forget to take chargers with all devices. Bring a flash drive to your laptop or tablet.

Clothing and footwear

The list of things you need to take with you on the road depends on the time of year, the country you are going to, and, of course, how exactly you are going to spend your time. Tourist routes with a backpack on your shoulders and a beach holiday in a luxury hotel on the seashore will require completely different equipment from you.

The clothes that you plan to take on a trip should not be a lot. List only the essentials:

  • You do not need to take warm clothes to the countries of Asia and the South East. A few pairs of T-shirts, shorts, bathing suits and sun hats are all you need in Vietnam, China, Thailand or Bali. Shoes are slates and a pair of sneakers for hiking and sightseeing trips;
  • In European countries, you can expect various natural disasters. You need to prepare for them. Be sure to bring raincoats and umbrellas if you are traveling to the UK, Finland or Switzerland;
  • On the shores of the Mediterranean, 2-3 bathing suits, a small amount of summer shoes and clothes will be appropriate.

When making a list for a trip, be guided by the place of residence. If there is an opportunity to do laundry at a camp site or in a rest home, and in hotels to give things to the laundry, do not take a lot of them.

Hygiene items and first aid kit

Going to relax in resorts in the summer, be sure to add sunscreens and lotions, insect repellents, sun glasses, and hygienic lipstick to the list of items.

There should not be a lot of hygiene items if you are going to live where everything you need can be bought. Here is a rough list:

  • Shampoo and hair balm;
  • Dry and wet sanitary napkins;
  • A small bar of soap and roll-on deodorant;
  • Hairdryer, comb;
  • Manicure scissors, nail file.

Provide a small sewing kit. Its standard version: white, black thread, a pair of needles, a few safety pins.

Remember that during air travel, the amount of liquids is regulated by the carrier company! It is also forbidden to carry cans of hairspray and deodorant in hand luggage.

When collecting a first-aid kit, take into account the fact that strong psychotropic drugs and tranquilizers are allowed to be transported by plane only if you have a medical report and a prescription from your doctor (for your last name).

Starting to pack things according to the compiled list of what is needed on the trip, immediately divide them into those that will fly in the luggage compartment and those that will be checked out as hand luggage. Try not to pack a lot of clothes and shoes! Remember that for every extra kilo at the airport you will have to pay extra!

Master class of travel fees - sharing years of accumulated wisdom and personal life hacks! Deciding what to pack for your holiday trip so you can travel light but still have everything you need close at hand. We make a list of necessary things and think over options for difficult situations (for example, loss of documents). Separately, we tell you what to take your child on a trip.

Since we travel often, we have already learned how to pack backpacks so that later we don’t regret the extra pounds behind our backs. In this article, we will give the minimum of things that we take with us on vacation - regardless of whether the trip is planned for a long or short one. We will also talk about some life hacks and give advice on how best to pack and not forget anything before the trip.

Anyone who travels by train will benefit from reading our instructions.

Travel preparation

No matter how experienced a traveler you are, do not leave everything to the last day - start preparing for a vacation trip in advance. Sometimes it is better to do this much in advance if the trip is not planned for a week, but for a much longer period. Choosing insurance, developing a route, issuing visas, booking accommodation, studying information about the country (prices, food, transport, and so on), buying currency and resolving issues with bank cards - all this will take enough time.

We also recommend that you make a list of things for a trip in advance: take a sheet of paper, divide it into categories and write down everything that comes to mind. Write down everything that you remember for one or two days - so you definitely won’t forget a single little thing. Checked! You can use special applications for smartphones, but we prefer a regular notepad. Once compiled, the list can later be used repeatedly, taking it as a basis - only minor details will change.

Where is it calm and safe? Look - we compared countries in terms of natural disasters, wars and terrorism, peacefulness and attitude towards tourists.

What to take with you on vacation?

Cards, money, documents

The first and most important thing to take with you on a trip is documents and money. This is the most important thing in traveling - keep it close to your heart. It is better to have a small handbag or backpack that you will always carry with you and take in hand luggage when flying.

So, what to take with you on vacation:

  1. Passports and their copies. In general, keep copies of all documents on your phone, flash drive, cloud storage / virtual disk or email - but it’s better to play it safe and choose several options at once. These copies may be needed if the originals are lost.
  2. hotel/apartment bookings.
  3. Printouts and electronic versions air tickets.
  4. Printouts and electronic versions insurance. Don't forget your vaccination certificate if required (for example, a number of African countries will not be allowed entry without an original yellow fever vaccination certificate).
  5. Bank cards(it is better to have several cards and accounts of different banks). Life hack: keep money on accounts, not on cards, and transfer money via Internet banking immediately before withdrawing (preferably using a VPN, we’ll talk about this a little later). In this case, if the card is stolen, it will be empty, since all the money will be kept in the account.
  6. Some cash. Cash should always be at hand - and it is in the currency of the country where you are. For example, during our trip, we forgot to exchange the euros we had for local dirhams twice in advance, because of this, at the right time we had to dodge to exchange currency - once in the late evening in Casablanca at the street changers through the mediation of the police, the second - also in the evening , only this time already in the Sahara near the Algerian border with the inhabitants of the village in which we were supposed to spend the night.
  7. small format notebook with your notes and notes, pen and pencil. It can be used for communication and bargaining.
  8. Doesn't hurt and phrasebook.
  9. Download to your mobile phone or tablet offline maps, such as OSMAnd or Maps.Me. Find out what else can be useful while traveling.
  10. International driver's license and license (power of attorney), as well as car documents, "green card", registration certificate and inspection card, etc. when traveling in your own car.

Travel accommodation search:

Look for hotels and private accommodation (apartments, apartments, houses) at the best price on Skyscanner Hotels.

first aid kit

A first aid kit is perhaps the most important thing on a trip. Forgetting a first-aid kit at home is more expensive for yourself, because you will have to fork out abroad (and you simply cannot buy some medicines, since they are not sold without a prescription).

Life hack: we usually form two first-aid kits (and we advise you), in one - only the most necessary drugs that we carry with us (for example, for allergies), in the second - all the rest. This is especially true if you are going to the jungle or other unsafe places.

List of medicines that you need to take with you on a trip:

  • painkillers;
  • diarrhea remedies;
  • antipyretic;
  • remedies to relieve the symptoms of a cold;
  • antiallergic drugs;
  • antibiotics;
  • individual medicines for chronic diseases;
  • remedies for injuries;
  • remedies for motion sickness;
  • medicines for snake and insect bites;

You can get insurance for a tourist trip online on the website - the service is convenient for its search for several large insurance companies at once and the ability to select a policy according to the desired parameters and the best price.

Technics

Everything is individual here: someone takes nothing but a mobile phone and a camera, while someone stuffs a backpack to the eyeballs with equipment.

What we think is worth taking:

  • laptop if you need it for work;
  • mobile phone;
  • player;
  • a camera (preferably not a bulky DSLR with several large lenses, if you wish, you can replace it with a mobile phone with a good camera if you are not a professional photographer);
  • e-book.

We also take an external hard drive, flash drive and small speakers. We usually do not buy a SIM card - you can communicate for free via Skype, Viber, WhatsApp and similar applications.

If you are traveling by car, a navigator will come in handy.

Life hack 1: for all wires (chargers, USB cords) we have a special bag so that they are not lost - very convenient. We always take all gadgets with a bag for wires into the cockpit - if the luggage is lost, the equipment will remain with us.

Life hack 2: do not connect to an insecure public network, for this it is better to use VPN. All public networks in hotels, hostels, cafes, shopping centers, etc. should be considered insecure.

List of personal care and cosmetic items

As for personal hygiene items and cosmetics, the list of things for a trip can be endless if you don’t stop yourself in time in an effort to take with you the entire arsenal of decorative cosmetics and other cosmetic things. Believe me, the minimum set is enough - new impressions from the trip, tan and sunglasses will replace your cosmetics.

List of things to take with you on vacation:

  • toothpaste and brush;
  • shaving accessories;
  • manicure scissors / "nippers" for nails, to whom it is more convenient;
  • hairbrush;
  • deodorant (preferably solid);
  • wet wipes;
  • disposable handkerchiefs;
  • shampoo (2 in 1) in probes or a small tube;
  • some toilet paper and paper napkins;
  • a roll of disposable plastic bags - an extremely useful thing for a trip, it will always come in handy on the road;
  • paper bags if you get sick.

Additionally for women:

  • some cotton buds and discs, sponge;
  • pocket mirror;
  • moisturizing cream;
  • Eyebrow Tweezers;
  • decorative cosmetics (hygienic lipstick and lip gloss, pencil / eyeliner, mascara, foundation);
  • makeup remover;
  • feminine hygiene products;
  • pumice stone for keratinized skin of the legs (especially important in southern countries).

Those who wear contact lenses will need a container and a solution for lenses, those who wear glasses should take spare ones just in case (glasses break and are lost - we have come across this more than once). Don't forget about sunglasses.

(Photo © Kikishua / flickr.com / Licensed under CC BY-NC 2.0)

Here, perhaps, is the minimum of things that you can take with you on a trip. It is better to pour the makeup remover and shampoo into special 100 ml tubes - you can buy the so-called travel kit. It will come in handy if you are going on an independent trip, because not all hotels offer free toiletries. Well, already abroad it is easy to buy something that runs out or is not taken - for example, a body and face scrub, shower gel, and so on.

Be careful with liquids carried into the cockpit- the volume of one tube with liquid should not exceed 100 ml, and the total volume - 1 liter. All liquids must be packed in a transparent plastic bag. In general, we recommend that you take almost all hygiene items in your luggage, except for wet wipes, a comb, a mirror, hygienic lipstick, toilet paper, paper and plastic bags - they can come in handy. Feel free to check everything else in your luggage - it is unlikely that you will need shampoo during the flight, right?

Clothing and footwear

The choice of clothes and shoes on a trip should be approached with all responsibility. Think carefully about your wardrobe so that it doesn’t turn out that you have nothing to wear shoes or a dress with.

In general, the list of things for a trip is individual, but there are general recommendations. First, dress for the season and carefully read the weather forecast and the climate of the country you are going to. In case of rainy and cold weather (or if this is a feature of the country / region / season), waterproof shoes and a raincoat should be taken.

Secondly, you should not pack a lot of clothes and shoes - practice shows that almost half of the things taken on a trip are not worn (especially in southern countries). You will bitterly regret taking a dozen dresses and as many pairs of stilettos, unless you are going to attend social events every evening. In addition, on vacation, most likely, you will not resist buying clothes - leave a place for them in your suitcase.

(Photo © Jonas N / flickr.com / Licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0)

Thirdly, try to take only those things that can be combined. Why do you need a thing on a trip if it doesn’t fit anything?

Fourth, choose only those clothes in which you will feel comfortable, which do not constrain, do not press and do not rub. Do not take unworn shoes - there will be corns. We take old shoes, which we don’t mind throwing away if something happens, and change them for a new one on a trip if the old one is torn.

Do not forget about a hat if you are going to hot and sunny countries. It is better to take a cap, as hats wrinkle a lot. Or buy a hat on the spot.

What clothes to take with you on a trip:

  • trousers / jeans (in hot countries, light and light ones are suitable, trousers are especially relevant in Muslim countries);
  • breeches / shorts;
  • a pair of T-shirts and / or T-shirts;
  • a pair of shirts;
  • sweater;
  • windbreaker;
  • light sneakers / sneakers (it’s better to ride in);
  • shoes / sandals / ballerinas;
  • slippers;
  • swimming trunks / swimsuit, if you go to the sea;
  • several changes of underwear;
  • several pairs of socks.

What else to take with you on vacation?

The list can also include such necessary and useful things for travel as:

  • Swiss knife;
  • corkscrew;
  • lighter and matches;
  • fumigator;
  • thread and needle;
  • pins;
  • small flashlight;
  • an adapter for various types of sockets, as well as a tee or a compact extension cord (relevant for those who leave for a long time and take a lot of equipment with them);
  • tissue paper (or a microfiber towel that absorbs moisture well);
  • toothpicks;
  • scotch tape or cling film for wrapping a backpack at the airport and so on - in general, something that can make life much easier.

The things listed in this list, although it is not necessary to take on a trip, are still very desirable - at the right time they will help out a lot.

In addition to all of the above, we always have two plastic mugs and forks, a teaspoon, a camping kettle-boiler and a coffee pot - thanks to these items, you can save on drinks and prepare them at any time.

Despite the impressive list of things to travel, with proper packing, all this (and even more) can easily fit into a backpack with a volume of 45 liters (for each person). It is better to put things in a suitcase and a backpack with rollers, so they do not wrinkle much, and some things can be put into shoes and fill the voids with them.

Don't forget to eat on the road - something nutritious, such as dried fruits and nuts, as well as water. It is also helpful to have a couple of tea bags, coffee and sugar for the first evening at the hotel.

What to take on a trip with a child

If you are traveling with children, the amount of travel essentials will increase noticeably. Here you won’t get off with a small suitcase: you need to take care of what to do with the child on the plane and on vacation, pick up clothes for all occasions, and if the child is small, solve the issue of food and so on.

So, what to take on a trip with a child?

  • Documentation: a photo of the child must be pasted into the parent's passport or he must have his own passport, a visa and medical insurance must be issued for him. If the child is traveling with only one parent, have permission to travel from the other parent.
  • Clothes: arrange clothes so that there is always a change if the child gets dirty or tears clothes. It is better to have light and warm jackets for emergencies.
  • first aid kit(all the same drugs as described above, plus individual medications for the child if there are chronic diseases).
  • Toys: think about what you can take your child on a trip to organize his leisure time - for example, take a tablet with downloaded films and games, a coloring book, a few favorite toys.
  • I'm going: cookies, chopped fruit, water and juice.
  • For small children It is worth taking on a trip absorbent diapers, antibacterial wipes, paper handkerchiefs, a small blanket and spare diapers, a light blouse (air conditioning is often on the plane), a baby carrier or a folding stroller. Prepare baby food for the first time until you get comfortable in a new place and find a supermarket.

What not to take with you on a trip

We understand that you want to take a lot of necessary and useful things with you on a trip, without which, it seems, all the pleasure of traveling will disappear. But you need to look at things soberly and ruthlessly cross out from the list what you can easily do without or what can be replaced with something on the spot.

hair dryer

Girls will understand how difficult it is without him. However, remember that many hotels have it. If you are going on a budget independent trip, it makes sense to cut your hair so that the hairstyle does not require styling, or you can put your hair in a ponytail / braid braids / and so on. Well, in the event that it is important for you to have a hair dryer, take a travel one.

Iron

A travel iron is a very handy thing when traveling, but you can safely do without it. First, let in your wardrobe there will be things from not very wrinkled materials. If the thing is wrinkled, hang it in the bathroom while you take a shower - it will smooth out a little from the steam. You can also spray it with water and hang it on a coat hanger to dry. In many hotels you can borrow an iron from the reception.

Books

Books are heavy and take up a lot of space. It is much easier to take an e-book, a tablet or read from a mobile phone (which is what I do when I travel). Of course, there are not enough paper books - you can take a small paperback book or buy a convenient flipbook, or you can visit a bookstore abroad (there are unlikely to be books in Russian, but why not pull up forgettable English?).

Expensive jewelry

There is nothing to talk about here - it is better to leave expensive jewelry at home.
